Hey guys, this is a Fort Worth, Glock guy and I wanted to share with you these nite ize s and I found these at REI. I was over in Dallas recently and there’s an REI in the area and I had some time to kill so I just walked around the store and I love these little s, I use them all the time. If you followed my channel at all, you’ll probably recognize this I usually carry like a flashlight and a little multi-tool on an SP, nur and I.
Just clip this s inside my pocket and just it just dangles there, so that way, stuff bunched up in the bottom of my pocket and then following a few other channels. You know, there’s always been the complaint of the s coming on clipped like the gate, is not strong enough to hold and things fall off for whatever reason I’ve never experienced.
That problem- and you know quite a few of you- guys- have come up with your own little solutions, especially on the larger ones, where you put string tubing here or electrical tape, or something along those lines to make it semi-permanent and that way the gates don’t swing open accidentally, but I thought this was kind of a cool little product that obviously night eyes is watching, or you know, listening to people complain about their issues that they’ve had and they’ve come up with what is called the micro, lock and I’m, not exactly sure how many some what sizes these come in.
This is the only size that I saw at REI at the time which I believe this is a size one and but what’s really cool about this. Is you know if you do use these? You know you can use the gate to clip whatever you want to on it, and you take this little piece of plastic and it just clips around, and there is a positive click like you can actually feel it, and that way it keeps the gate closed.
There’s no way for it to come, open so anyways. This gate is a just a piece of plastic that rotates and you actually have to manually like undo it there’s the back side of it. If you’re curious what it looks like and then again clip whatever you want to on it, and then it gets to a point where it’s touching both gates and then you twist it a little bit more and you can actually feel in here click and that way, it’s not going to accidentally come open.
So I haven’t actually put these on my keychain, yet I just picked them up recently and I just haven’t had a chance to use them, but I’m sure, based on you know, just the the way that it’s designed I mean unless this, unless you’re really hard on your keys and this piece of plastic breaks off. That might be a good solution for you, guys I think I picked.
It pick these up for 5 bucks for the pair, which isn’t isn’t too bad I guess I would like to see the one size a little bit bigger the size too I believe and they may make those I just didn’t see any at the REI. That I was at, but I thought this was a kind of a cool little solution to some problems that people have been having with their s.

Of course, you’re gonna get one steel, wire, keychain, very nice, and basically you do is you can put up keys in there turn this in here and then you just screw it in place and then boom there.
You go spread it out a little bit here. Look and I like that. You have to get nine in a package. You can hand these out as gifts stocking stuffers. Maybe we do contest as at work or anything like that or you just want to hand me the family members, that’s okay, to know beyond that. When you get nine, so you got, you know, there’s several uses for these and I’ll take one out of the package here. So you get a closer look here.
It looks like and again it’s ultralight I like that, but remember this is not for climbing a few features of this or you can use these under light duty circumstances like attaching a sports bottle, hooking up to the backpack strapping your ropes, all together and using the carabiner to hold everything together of camping, tent hiking pool small tools, those kind of uses you can also click reusable bags together for easy stores.
You can use it for a small size, dog or cat hook it up with the leash. No breakout incident should happen. You know with small animals, you can use it to tidy up belts, collect your hair ties prevent cords from tangling. You can use it as a keychain hook or key holder to keep all your keys with other risk of one off and I like that. What I like the most on this feature, using the mote, the most on this feature, is the locking mode.
What are you doing is turning this in all the way through. Just like that, and now it’s locked. This is not opening. That’s what I like the best about this we’re just a regular ones, because they start the spring starts to wear and they start to pop a little bit in and then you lose your keys things slip off these so I like that it can walk and it does have a hundred fifty pounds dynamic, load rate on this, so he can it can hold.
But you don’t want to use this for rock climbing or swings or hammocks or hanging a punching bag, or attaching a big animal with this okay, so you don’t want to use it hold a sale as a low and it’s not predictable with strong winds and blows. Those are the kind of things you don’t want to use it for, but for everything else, it’s great it’s! It’s really awesome I’m! Definitely using these four keys and I do have some work.
Applications I can use this for my job and I’m definitely gonna be handing some of these out to some people and again this is a great product just because it has that 150-pound dynamic tension load that it could hold up to and it’ll never rust. Locking cabin years they come in a wonderful array of colors here um when I came ship, they came in a nice lip lock bag. You won’t lose anything, so you get the key chains, the different colors have years. So you have this um radish, radish, pinkish, one green, one, blue red and another green. So it’s kind of like a metallic metallic, a green and in a more of a shiny, and it’s all about be that I really like is check it out.
You can lock them so here’s when they’re open, if you’re a person with a lot of keys when I see these I always think about that janitor guy at school, with all the keys what the Asimov hook fun. So these are great for that. Also for your camping gear. Don’t you want to hook to your bags? What not? Ok, so you see have all those Cubans on there just take and lock that back up so now it won’t open up I’d like I, really like that feature a lot because I’ve had some of these before and they couldn’t lock.

These are really nice. They seem to be well made and have a great look and feel for me just the right size and light weight. I like them enough I ordered a set in each color to give a wear. Multicolor set a family at Christmas. Stuff like this, can be made useful for a variety of things. Britt carabiners have been around for as long as I can remember.
I’m, 62 and you’d be surprised at some of the things I have seen. People use them for having a few extra around. You might surprise yourself with what uses you might come up with Britt, just keep in mind that, while very functional and long wearing, these are made of aluminum, no rust or tarnish and are not meant for any heavy weight.
Application like snapping them to a tow hook or a boat anchor nor to any safety device where life and deulim would be at stake. Aluminum is too soft for something like that. Everybody’s short video for you here today, it’s Tim from everyday tactical vids and today we’re taking a look at this, which is the nite ize sv turkey, rack and, as you can see, it’s basically something to hold your keys and for me a couple other items there as well. Nite ize is the company that makes this an ite, ize comm and the story of nite ize is pretty cool. Actually their founder was out fishing one time he had a flashlight in his mouth.
He open his mouth dropped it into the water and, as that happened, he thought I got to make a product that will help me not have this situation occur again and from there he created a lot of very cool products. Nite ize, calm, very neat website, a very innovative ideas. Let me say this is not a product. That’s gonna save your life, it’s not a super tactical tool, but it does make. In my life at least things a little more streamlined and easier, and every second I can save not wasting time doing silly things or being unorganized.
That’s an advantage for me in my life, so the product is pretty pretty straightforward, pretty cool, as you can see, it’s a keychain you’ve got the main carabiner here, which has a spring mechanism, so you can hook this on to you know a belt loop. You can hook it on to something else on your gear and then you’ve got a bunch of these small carabiners here these s carabiners, and they have the spring-loaded portion on both sides here and here.
So if I was using this like, for example, the other day my wife needed one of our car keys, I can just go like this pop this off and now she’s got the car key when I get it back, just pop it right on. So it’s just very streamlined. One of the things I get annoyed is my keys, get all tangled up and a ton of this guy in general, the keys hang whether it’s supposed to be there not getting all tangled off on top one another, and you can get these in a variety of different colors.
This one is obviously black. You can see. I’ve got some keys on here house keys, I’ve got my shrade keychain pry tool and then a little bit lighter there, for you know just always have around so I’ve got a fire source if I’m ever in a situation where I need it. So that’s pretty much it very quiet, I’m, just cool offers, look a bit of utility that you might not have on your standard.
