Hello there my name is tom Randall from gear mashers and today we’re checking out gore’s vortex shake try jacket trail. Running jacket so let’s get going. You and me Take it like a melody. All right so I’ve been training with this jacket now for past few weeks love. The jacket for those who like to layer. Up this is like the perfect jacket vortex of course you don’t have to worry about rain and stuff like that getting your soaked what’s neat about the jacket I’ll sort of go over each individual item here so first off we’ll just start. With the sleeves have a little bit of a give to them they have. This other material beyond just the gore-tex material that allows you to sort of open it up so for example i have. My watch here it’s a lot easier to get to the watch a lot of the jackets will have a velcro or something pairs that you have to untie velcro these eating just sort of pull up and then you can get to your watch and then starting from the top here we have a zippered pocket. And so the puckett’s perfect like i have. A go pro battery sitting in here but i. Will Usually put like a house key or something like that in the top pocket that’s perfect for that i wouldn’t put a phone in here because this is a running. Jacket and the way they designed it is. To be more of a minimalist jacket so. There’s the only pocket you’re going to have on the jacket is over here on the left you got a hawk over there and now. Next one of the functions i think’s really cool is it has two zippers these. Are the ykk zippers so you can zip from. The bottom going up so if you’re getting. Hot or something like that you can do that or of course you can zip it down to. Let air in and if you’re really hot and. You don’t want to take the jacket off you can sort of put the zippers together and now you got a lot of air flow into the jacket the materials super light they call it shake dry and so essentially what they’ve done is they have the gore-tex material but a lot of the gore-tex material outfits out there. Have an extra layer on the top and what happens is when that layer gets wet or moist it makes the jacket a little bit. Cooler with this shake dry they eliminate that upper material and so. You’re essentially just having the gore-tex and then the shake dry stuff now with the shake dry pretty much you. Just shake the water off your jacket beads on your jacket and you just shaking off and that’s sort of neat then. The hood let me take my hat off here so. With the hood they have this little. Little layer of material that fits. Underneath so when you have the hood on. It it’s a little bit harder to blow. Off i guess and so that’s sort of neat. Feature and it also keeps the rain from. Getting into your face then on the one. The bottoms here they have these bungee. Cords that you can tighten the fitting, and they have it on either side they. Also have a bungee cord on the back of the hood you can tighten up the hood as. Necessary but that’s pretty much it with the jacket it also oh obviously if you’re running at night or something like that it has some nice reflective material and it. Goes down the side so it’s a 360 type. Reflective tape and then on the inside. Of the jacket it’s all fully seemed so. They have the seams going along any place that maybe water or other moisture. Could get into the jacket this is all taped up so which is super nice. They don’t recommend using this jacket. With a backpack just because it’s not really designed for that it’s designed for running with minimal gear. You know you could probably use like a water bladder or something like that on the back but not like backpacking its. Not really designed for that but i really like the jacket and i don’t know what size is this i think it went with size large which is perfect. Let’s see here up no i got an extra large okay so what i found with the gore. Products is you probably want to if. You’re on the cusp of going say large. Extra-large definitely go with the extra large i went with the extra large because i want to use this jacket to layer up so typically I’ll wear three. Layers so I’ll wear like a base layer and then actually have another gore product that i wear that really like. On top of that sort of mid-layer and then the jacket now as far as the. Temperatures that you’d use a jacket in anything above 60 the jackets going to. We probably too hot so i would say the. Jacket is probably perfect for 30 to 55. Degrees maybe depending on what you’re. Have underneath but the other great. Thing is it is light the pocket at. The top here acts as a stuff bag as well. So you can stuff the whole jacket into. The pocket if you need it to and again. It is a minimal jacket so there’s not. Much else you got for it there’s no hand. Pockets or anything like that sometimes. I think when i was out there running it would have been nice to have a hand pocket especially if i started getting a little hot like i would a lot of times run with gloves and so it would be nice. To be able to stuff some gloves in the pocket but other than that really like this jacket it sells for 299. Dollars which can be expensive but you. Figure of shoes these days are running. Good shoes at least or running about 120 to 150 dollars so you know this jackets. Gonna laskey multiple seasons whereas a. Pair of running shoes you know if you’re running a lot you’ll wear those things out pretty quick so anyway check out. Gear masters com that’s a website where i post a lot of this stuff also please. Just want to start off this video by saying that the under armour’s agri crew cut socks are pretty similar to the nike. Elite socks you know they kind of have. The same kind of design the color schemes like they have or and pretty. Much just what the sock does as far as. Your performance it’s just the same as the nike elites the price you know these. Were 899 for one pair and then for 12. Bucks for the nike elite you only get one pair and i don’t think that’s a very good value for 12 bucks getting one pair of socks and 899 would be more of my. Kind of region and i got twenty-five. Percent off of them too so get a little. Better deal so i don’t want to see just. Because you know the nike elite socks. Are out there i don’t want to see negative comments about you know under armour copied the nike elite socks with these and nike elite socks are better i. Just don’t want to see that stuff you know it’s just a pair of socks they’re not going to make you neither one of. These socks that elites or the AGG recruit cuts aren’t going to make you better they’re not going to make you run. Faster jump higher you know score more. Touchdowns or shoot more fries it’s not going to matter you know it’s just a pair of socks so the just got the stuff. I read on youtube is just ridiculous about socks and the nike elite socks aren’t no special and these aren’t. Especially or just they’re just socks and this is my review on them and I’m. Not reviewing elite socks but I’m just saying that i think these are better value and it’s pretty much the same song. And it’s just a brand you know they’re competing with each other you know if. Knocking comes out with something under armours going to try to match it and you know if not under armour comes out with something nike is going to match it so you know who cares so no negative. Comments so on to the review of these air crew cut socks so you know basically. These socks are really cushioned on the. Feet that’s pretty much what the performance of these socks are is to have more cushioning on your feet they. Have some ventilation areas around the top of the toes the strict like the. Elastic part in the sog really nice fits. Tight around your foot socks very. Breathable for a black sock that’s probably got a lot more of fabric on it. The normal sock but is very breathable. You know the longer part of the sock here on the top this part stays on. Really well it really looks lectures on. Your leg you know it’s just pretty there’s nothing to it’s just made of the. Sock material and doesn’t have anything due but does grip your skin really well. I must say like just the whole sock is. Very breathable they don’t feel hot I’ve. Used them once and i really and you. Would use them and i think they’re great. Socks you know this is the back of the. Sock and you know just some great socks. You know so i guess right now I’ll just. Go ahead and put them on, and we’ll see what they look like okay so here are the under armour’s anger crew cut socks so. You know these are very cool socks very. Breathable as well very cushioned on the. Top of the toes and then like all along the heel all the way into the bottom of your foot is just it’s a really cushioned and these taksim i think last. A while so very well-made and you know. They’re good just good overall socks you. Now if you hit the front of a you’re getting a high quality software you know pretty good deal so it’s just. Too long ago actually unbox these socks live on my google+ live stream show that. I do it’s on my second channel if you’re not subscribed my second channel or you haven’t heard about the live show check that out it’s kind of fun i like to go. On there and kind of interact with you guys in the first live show i did I’m. Boxy socks that was kind of cool experience but today we’re going to talk about the under bust crew socks so being. That they’re a crew sock they are you know they’re going to its kind of like a calf-length kind of sock and this. Was a really cool color way that i saw it was something that i wanted to pick up and i saw it you know just kind of. Browsing through some under armour’s new stuff that was coming out for 2014 was. Going through their sock catalog on our website and just saw these and decided. To pick them up and i really like the purple and gray color way and this. Colorway is called a pride so it’s just. A unique color and i decided to. Pick it up and i will show you here just a little bit some of the other colors they offer in these socks but first I’ll just kind of give you an overall kind of glance these socks this is what the kind of the top portion top part of the. Socks and look like it’s gotten over logo there and then here’s the bottom of. It another hour and rubber logo like the. Like the gray inserts that kind of have. With this like here on the bottom is cushion just about like the oh. The alter ego socks i reviewed not too. Long ago did pretty much just like that they don’t they really are pretty much the same essentially the same socks and a lot of the times when it comes with the under armour you know. Kind of crew stock sale they’re all pretty much the same sock there’s not really a lot that’s different between them it’s just really the designs are going to be different so there’s really not a lot of different really no difference at all between the. Under armour the rubber socks and you. No like the alter ego socks so and. Kind of where I’m getting that you know and here’s the back part of the socks and i guess you know how i think of it. It’s kind of like you know they call them the burst socks because it’s kind of like a burst or an explosion. Or fireworks or something it’s just really it’s just a really cool design you’ll kind of see some of those other designs they have on the website as far. As the they come in to have six different colors and you know the black and kind of like this dark blue is just. A really cool look i think and I’ll try to pick up maybe one more pair of socks i really like these but kind of getting. Into the performance of these socks i. Tested them out just running any. Socks and i would say they’d be great. For you know other sports like football and basketball even though the under. Armour summit under armour socks they’re not they don’t say that there’re sports specific this is a really great shock. It’s got a nice padding on it not sure. Like i said with as far as the durability goes we haven’t really got into that very much you know tom will. Only tell how these socks hold up but. I’d like to say that i would hope that. These socks would last a long time and there hopefully a good socket this isn’t. Probably one of under armour’s you know premier stocks that are coming out the under armour undeniable crew sock is. Going to be something that’s going to kind of replace the ignite socks that came out last year if you remember the. Night sucks just like this that’s. Something that’s the new under armour undeniable socks are going to be coming out and i will do kind of collab video. Kind of match all these socks together and review them all at once kind of like i did last summer i really do think. These socks are really great just going. To give you some more perspective on these socks they were fifteen dollars 1499. It’s probably a few bucks higher than it actually probably needs to be i would probably if i was surprised these socks it’d be about twelve dollars or so 15 is. Kind of stepping it up there but you. No one thing that really does it for. Me is the design of these socks i really do think this is a really just a clean. Look it’s not like it’s not too tacky to. Where they’re like some of the others. Under armour socks I’ve seen before some i just won’t buy just because they’re too tacky like they’re just they’re way too bright they’re way too i don’t know. It i just really think this is a this is a good neutral sock that you know it’s. Not like i said it’s not too flashy it’s got its got all the things you want in the sock and it’s a i think it’s a good. It’s a good pick up if you really look for some you know some nice socks they’re unique this is this the. Stock to go for I’ll quickly go on the. Owner of our website here and show you. Some other colors that they offer in these, so we’ve got the under bust crew socks here as you can see, and we’ve got a color and royal there and the burst. Kind of design there is black and then. We’ll go to the black version of those socks and you can kind of see their like. It’s white, and then we’ve got a hyper. Green and we’ve got midnight navy i like. That color and then electric blue and. That would actually match some of under armour shoes that are actually they’ve come out this spring some of their. Some of under armour’s news run shoes and train shoes kind of have that color was this electric blue kind of look and. Then finally we have the pride purple socks so those are some really good colors i think you know they don’t have some of the reds or like we’ve seen. Before and some under or socks but i think it’s a really good look and may. Hey what’s going on youtube you ever views here and today I’m back with a review on the under armour undeniable. Crew socks alright so the undeniable crew socks is. A new sock from under armour for the 2014 line if something i was wanting to. Review when it when i first started seeing these socks i picked these up at dick’s sporting goods for 15 dollars 1499 and you can find these talks about. Anywhere in a lot of different colors in this review i make a lot of references. To pass socks so I’m gonna go ahead and mention those socks right now these are the under armour ignites so if i mentioned the ignites that’s what I’m talking about i might mention alter-ego socks and maybe the new birth socks so. If i mention any of those you know what I’m talking about so the main. Difference between any other under armor. Socks that I’ve ever reviewed before. Definitely is the new strategic cushioning that’s been putting into these socks and what strategic cushioning is basically it’s its i mean. It’s as simple as how I’m saying it they put in special areas of cushioning that. Adds more or less to areas that it’s. Going to have a higher impact of you know you’re gonna just have even more. Cushioning in certain areas such as the front of the foot here and then here on. The heel so you have more padding in these socks on the front here the front. Of socks and then back here on the heel and i would say the cushioning feels a. Little bit a little bit more durable than say the ignite socks which i felt like after a while they’d kind of stretch out and kind of where these are. You know i’ve worn these for maybe about six months now using them on and off the. Cushioning on these really isn’t that great I’ve used these a couple times now. And I’m been pretty satisfied with how these are cushioned to compare them i. Guess you know nike leaked socks would be you know probably one of the more cushioned the paper crew socks those are another very cushioned sock but these. You know i think can compete with that. Now there’s going to be a bit padding up here on the top of the toes but you’ve also got ventilation. Areas going all throughout here one other point that we’ll make is this kind. Of these little x patterns going through here and that is the embedded arch. Support that’s something that hasn’t been put in under armor crews before or. Any sock for that matter i don’t believe the embedded arch support is something. That i really like in these socks because i feel like when i put these socks on you know this is kind of around the mid part of your foot and it gives. You kind of lock down fit it gives you. Kind of like a compressive supportive. Material otherwise that i haven’t seen. In socks for its just like a little bit tighter in this area i think it i mean. All it is just fabric i don’t know if there’s really any technology into these. But i can just feel that they’re they’re a more supportive sock as far as cushioning goes than previous models. Such as the ignite socks kind of. Comparing them i guess we can kind of compare some other socks here like i was saying i definitely believe they have. More cushioning than the alter-ego socks the alter-ego socks have kind of the thin ignite i mean it’s almost exactly. Like i would say it’s i mean it’s got to. Be the same material this i mean this. Has held up a little better but I’ve used these more but there’s definitely. More cushioning in these in the undeniable socks, and then we’ll talk. About the burst which i think are more or less you know just an updated ignite sock but one thing these socks like i. Said it’s the strategic cushioning is. Something that’s unique in these socks so you got cushioning up here you. Got a ventilation area here you’ve got your embedded arch support all throughout their more cushioning back here and then you know just your simple. Armor dry is what they’re calling it. This year as far as the fabric used in this sock i guess what kind of take some. Look into a little bit of the detail of. These socks like i was saying earlier going to be the come in a lot of different colors a couple solid colors which i really like i haven’t seen oh they i just know they’re coming out with a lot of colors in these so you know they’re pretty customizable to school colors or whatever kind of look you’re trying to pull off one thing that is also new. Comparing them to other under armor socks some socks then I’ve seen from. Under armour haven’t done this they haven’t done a lot i remember they did it with the cam newton crew socks they had written right. And left or left and right specific. Socks so that’s definitely something that’s you know like the Adidas crews. The team speeds and then there’s the nike crews that also or you know the nike vapor crews as well as the elite. Socks all have the right and left. Specific socks i don’t think it really matters that say left or right or left it means the same thing but you know that’s something that’s definitely interesting they’ve tried that before and i really didn’t think the socks were really supposed to be right and less. Specific i know they’ve experimented with that before but it does give like a true toe shape like it’s its gonna be. Flatter up here for your top to your. Big toe and then your next biggest toe and then it kind of forms down like how your feet or your toes do sorry yeah. That’s definitely something that’s improved i think this is going to be a good sock now i would recommend these. For any type of running training you. Now these kind of come out and I’ve seen them I’ve seen like all their commercials and it looks like a lot of you know their main athletes are wearing these is as far as football goes you know this is a this would be a good this would be pretty much a premier football sock from under armour i use these in plates with cleats, and they seem perform. Well using them both with running and. Then with using them on grass with. Cleats so you can use this as a football. Sock so like i said a lot of colors i. Like the new technology put in these the cushioning the strategic cushioning is definitely something that’s going to be a game changer with these socks i definitely recommend them for $15 you know it’s getting up there. To where you know the nike and Adidas socks are because under my socks used to become to be around the $12 range with. The knights that kind of went up on. Price a little bit but i do think these will compete with a lot of the bigger. Brands i mean this under armour is one of the big brands but you know nikes definitely known for their nike elite socks their football socks also on the other point michael lot of those other socks do they say undeniable here when. You flip the sock down i really don’t. Think you’re supposed to wear it like that but i guess you could if you wanted to choose i choose not to put the flat. Down just because i want it to because. It really doesn’t feel like it’s supposed to flat down like if you’ve seen some of the you know these socks. You know they’re meant to like flat down. There so that’s my review if you guys. Quick i also should mention there’s also just a little bit of breath ability. Through here they’ve got some ventilation through the saag overall with you know with ventilation i think these i mean you’re not gonna be. Able to like feel the air going through these but it’s not a hot sock it’s not. You know it’s its a breathable sock it’s its made of a thin material throughout here but it’s nothing that. Should you know keep you burning up. Hey what’s going on youtube you air. Reviews here and today got a review video on the under armour stars and stripes crew socks okay so first off. I’ll just give you guys an overall look at these socks we’ll start off with the stars part here you’ve got a navy blue. Background here on the back of the sock and with the white stars some of the. Stars would kind of have this kind of faded look kind of give us a soccer really cool design it’s a black stock in general has a red stripe going down both. Sides there the sock so definitely very. Cool and then we’ll look at the stars part you’ve got red and white stripes. Going down all the way down the sock, and they kind of you can kind of tell the design of them they kind of have like this faded look which is kind of brings the sock together in a really cool way and kind of this stripe down. Here you know how this one thread i actually think that’s its sort of blue but you cannot even really tell if you. Look up you have to look really close but you can’t see it with my camera you can see a little bit there but um overall yeah this sucks there you know. The just the standard black color i bought these off dick’s sporting goods. Website under armour had him on their website, but they only had the color white and I’m not a really a big fan of white socks too much but i definitely. Wanted to see a black version of these. Socks so i found them on dick’s sporting goods, and they were fifteen dollars retail price you know you guys know I’m. Not a big fan of spending too much on socks but I’ve really thought these socks really had a cool design and you know what today socks you know you’re buying the socks not just because of the performance but how they look so that’s definitely a big factor in these socks. You know the wow factor of these socks is pretty amazing so you know you can support united states of america on. The back your socks which i think is pretty awesome and I’m definitely a big. Supporter of you know keeping this country together and everything I’m not okay i better not get on that topic but. Um yeah these socks just definitely show. You know a lot of pride you know definitely i pride for my country so whether it’s supporting the troops or. You know just support in this country in general I’d really think these are just a cool just cool sock for that but i mean just the overall design is just a very just a very overall cool. Design and I’ll probably say it’s a cool design for you know most of this video but i mean they’re just socks as far as getting into the real performance of these socks i do training these a little. But since i have you know quite a few socks i don’t get to rotate these in as much but I’m looking to kind of use them a little more going into fall here but. They’re pretty nice and padded obviously. If they’re not as pad say is like nike. Elite basketball socks or anything like that i do think they are a little more. Padded there for sure they’re sure more padded then the unner words agar crew cut socks or the twister socks there’s a. Lot of just footbed padding which is definitely improved and under armour socks so you’ve got that nice padding. These socks really aren’t that breathable i really don’t think that’s a. Big issue because i don’t really see how. The stocks can be breathable they are kind of they do feel a lot thicker throughout the kind of the toe area they. You know i don’t think they trap heat or anything but it’s just kind of they feel. Really thick on the bottom which is the padding but i just feel like these socks. Overall you know i haven’t had any problems with them being hot on my feet or anything they’ve just been overall a. Really cool sock I’ve read on some. Reviews that some people say that you know you could see your you could be your feet could be see-through through this part back here your back your legs to be seen but it’s the back of the. Socks is a really stretchy material i. Mean you can kind of see how it ventilates through there but i mean overall i mean the socks just mean. They’re really good socks i really and you can kind of see how there you can see my finger through there they and that just kind of helps with the ventilation of this these socks because you know there’s no ventilation throughout here or you know ventilation that’s meant to be there but i mean as you go. Out throughout the sock i mean they end up there not there on a bad shock to where i mean i enjoy wearing them, and they’re not left and right specific because you know if you think of like the american flag you have your stars your blue and white. Stars on one side of the flag and then you have your stars go or your stripes going all across but i mean it doesn’t. Matter how you wear them if you want to wear them like that but i personally like to wear them how the flag looks so that’s definitely just a little plus to have so right now I’m going to try these socks on and show you what they look like ok so here the end or more stars. And stripes crew socks so first off I’ll just give you guys an overall look of them alright so one thing that i. Definitely want to point out about these socks is the overall fit here in the favor of you so they definitely fit like. When you first put them on they feel really compression like especially around here around the lower part to your leg definitely with the like the. Starter stripes designed there you have. A really kind of breathable material. It’s not I’ve seen more breathable socks before but i mean these socks in general. I mean they stay cool they look cool but. One thing i did want to talk about in particular in this fit review is the. Sizing so i have a size large in these. And that was the only size i can find in these i looked on an armored website the. Only offered a size large and that was the same thing with dick’s sporting goods website you know they only offered. A size large now i wear a size 14 shoe. And under armour socks wear a size large go to a shoe size from a nine and a half. Shoe size up to 12 so you might be thinking well these socks don’t fit you well that’s not the case i wore a lot of. Nervous socks and a size large and i wear a size 14 and I’ve had no issues with sizing so with these socks you. Don’t really have any sizing issues like. I said they fit compression like their able to kind of fit and mold to the shape of your foot no matter the size. And i really don’t think they’ll come. Out with any other bigger sizes in this. That’s just kind of allen armors always dump their socks you know they fit stretching so you know they can kind of you know. Mold of different shoe sizes or foot sizes i should say but i mean definitely. You know the overall design of these is just definitely what makes these socks what they are i was very you know. Excited when i found him in black that was the color i was kind of looking for to get these socks in but i mean overall. I really don’t have anything negative to say about these socks i mean they’ve performed the way i want them to they fit great design is cool so that’s going. Reviewed some under armor leggings i reviewed my under armour cold gear version of these same leggings you know. The only difference between these leggings is one is heat gear and one’s cold gear, but we’re gonna be focusing on. The heat gear version of these leggings today you know if you think of like. Under armour’s compression where you. Now the heat gear material that’s in their compression shirts compression. Shorts this is still the same material it’s a very thin lightweight material. They fit tight since this compression. It’s not fitted some leggings especially. Some coal gear leggings will come in a fitted version personally i like to always go with a compression like feel. Because the fitted ones you know will be loose in a few areas so with the compression leggings i feel like you know if you’re buying them you know you want them because they’re tight and you. No fit tight around you know the body fit tie around you know your legs so. Really one big characteristic of these. You know is the heat your version so. Some other some nice features about these we’ll just kind of go over some short things here it’s got a drawstring. It is adjustable so you know if you do. Find yourself maybe if you get the wrong. Size you can still adjust them to where. They fit correctly but i would always advise you guys to i know you’re gonna ask me you know what size do i wear if you know if i wear like a large well. I’m nourished all of under armour stuff. Fits true to size so i mean if you wear like a large in compression shorts. You’re gonna wear a large inner murse legging so that’s just kind of how their size and goes it all works the same it. Just makes it easier so you’re not having to figure out what size you wear so just always make sure you know whatever size that you’ve always worn in under armour just they stay true to their size always have when i show you how. These fit I’ll be able to give you guys a little more description on kind of the overall fit of them you know the. Waistband is stretchy makes it nice and easy to get them on they’re not hard to get on or anything they’ve got one major. Inch seam going down the entire leggings as you can see there and you know. There’s only three main in seams well. Kind of the stitching areas and this one. Kind of goes through the crotch area and. You’ve got two of these long stitching’s going all the way down so and on the. Back you got the under armour tag there it says what size it is so really and. Then here’s the tag on the back it’s got. The sizing says compression and heat here so you know that it’s so you know. It’s the right one that you’ve got you. Now these come in a variety of colors you know just the basic color is like black navy blue i think they have kind. Of a lighter blue and white in these so. You’re kind of limited on few colors but really i feel like if you’re going for. Leggings you’re gonna go for a basic color like black or white. These actually retail for $39 so i feel. Like that’s not overly expensive pair of leggings you know being that some of the. Colder ones can can range anywhere from fifty to sixty dollars and then being. That their heat gear they’re not. Necessarily sued for the cold weather they’re more suited for the you know hotter weather but i would say that these would be great for fall you know say if you’re playing football and you know it’s not it’s not overly cold you. Now this would be perfect you know if you still like wearing the col your leggings or you’d like to have leggings with your football uniform i think these. Are you know great to go with you know even kind of in this fall weather because you know you can you know you. Won’t be overly hot in them because you know they’re he gear, so they’re gonna breathe well so really and you know you. Guys might also ask you know how they kind of look short because if you look at them you know they kind of and I’ll try stretch these out here show you how long. They were you know they don’t fit like kind of like a pair of sweatpants you know i mean they do look kind of short but you know no matter your leg size these really do stretch out so and. I’ll kind of show you what i mean and once i do and put them on just kind of how long they stretch for me so let’s. Get into that all right so here the. Under armour heat gear compression leggings so give you guys just an overall look of everything so definitely. What’s great about these is you know that’s the link that they stretch so you. No no matter really how tall you are how long your legs are these are still going to kind of stretch to you know. Your leg length so you know i can pull. These up a little bit or you know i can even pull them down like kind of over my. Socks I’m not necessarily a big fan of. Doing that but you know even if i just kind of have these i can just kind of. Where I’m just right above kind of where my low socks fit and you know they kind of feel a little loose down there but you know if you do really tie them up you know they can get tighter. Definitely you know they have a nice tight feel throughout the. Leggings and you know pull them up even. They get a little tighter around your knee and kind of shin area so it really. Does take a you know a little time to you know figure out how you like to wear your leggings i just really like to. Strap them on and go you know what I’m. Using these but i definitely think they’re you know a good buy if you’re looking to find you know some cooler leggings i know east bay has like their own brand and you know they’re not very much but if you know is you do like to go from the under armor brand. I definitely think these are the way to go as far as when you’re looking at heat. Gear leggings and i definitely think they’re you know they’re good for multiple sports and not just football. Inside of cleats or inside of you know your running shoes or anything but it’s a good it’s a good durable sock we’ll see how you know it kind of holds up over a couple months you know it’s definitely a little early to tell but i do think this will be it not this is gonna be a nice updated sock from under armour so if you guys enjoyed this review I’ve got other reviews out make. Hi it’s brad from back country skiing canada calm and today we’re talking about the quest motion fit jacket and. Pants from salomon new for fall 2013 so. This is next year’s gear but if you’re watching this video in september 2013 you can go to the stores and get it right away the big deal about this jacket is the freedom of movement sews all and put in gussets under the arms and the crotch they put extra fabric. Around the back the seams are a little bit different they put fabric more fabric over the knees if you look at the back the pattern of the stitching is a little bit different look for the flexing i can really move my arms around. If i want to grab something then go over do up a boot there’s a lot of given it the jacket is a big jacket but it. Doesn’t wear big it’s a fairly tight fit but it just seems like there’s a lot of room and i think that’s part of the stretch of it initially saw the jacket. The jacket i loved the pants the color. Wasn’t for me i was a little hesitant with the fabric I’m not exactly sure what it’s made of yet because it is next year’s gear but once i got it on it was a really super comfortable jacket and it’s beefy enough that if you’re skiing through the trees you can you know brush up against the trees is not gonna slice it open so most dedicated back country skiing touring jackets are very light fabric some sort of gore-tex and if you get too close to tree you could slice it wide open and a heartbeat this one it’s gonna take some abuse there’s. Lots of features it’s a full-featured jacket you know from the cuffs big burly. Cuffs i can leave my glove on and do my cuffs up no problem there’s plenty of pockets there’s a pocket and the shoulder here haven’t used it for. Anything I’m not a big fan of shoulder pockets but it’s a nice design element at the very least the color is great we’ve got a chest pocket as well I’ve. Used that quite a bit for things like ipods and money and whatnot the hand. Pockets here is down a little bit lower. Big pull tabs on the hand pockets which are nice, and they’re made of some sort of leather or plastics a little last big hand pockets there. Friendly with your pack as well, so they sit above your hip belt it’s also got it. Tips so you’ll notice on the side here. We’ve got nice big open pit zip zippers are really. Easy to pull up and down i don’t have to struggle with him on some jackets with the waterproof zippers you’re really struggling these bump it down quite easily if. We go to the inside of the jacket we’ve. Got a nice secure mesh pocket here ideal. For an ipod it’s got the pass-through for your headphones we’ve got the adjustments on the hood as well on this. Side we’ve got a bigger mesh pocket for smaller items as well the hood fits. Fairly well it’s it could be a little bit bigger for helmet compatibility but it has to cinch cords here too to. Cinch it down to fit a little bit better and the brim here is a little reinforced so it does stand out a little bit i like. I like brims here that have a wire in. Then so they actually are moldable but this one does a fairly good job of coming over my goggles and keeping the snow on my face it’s snowing pretty heavy today here at whitewater ski. Resort and it’s very wet the jacket is starting to wet out in places as you can. See but I’m not wet on the inside so I’m perfectly dry which is great and again. I’ve had the cinched the hood cinched up all day and the call are really high and cinched up because the snow has been really wet and getting my face but it’s kept me really nice and dry so that’s about it for the jacket there is a spray skirt i don’t have it on this model but there’s a zip in spray skirt as well sorry powder skirt we’re not paddling here so if you do like powder skirts you can leave that affixed to the jacket if you don’t I’m not a fan of them you can zip it out so I’ve zipped mine out because this jacket has got an extremely. Low cut like that’s great right down low. So you don’t really need the powder skirt in there if we move on to the pants themselves. With the pants. You can see there’re built-in suspenders. These suspenders you can take off as. Well as this soft shell upper portion. This zips out fully so if i don’t like. That and i just want to ride and with a belt or something i can take that out i like to keep it in its added warmth it also has an extra pocket in there for. Various things adjust ability on the. Pants you can gain a little weight over the christmas holidays you can cinch him in a little bit bigger beefy belt loops for fixing them closed there is a. Tab as well as a snap no problems there. And again the zippers are really nice and smooth it’s a waterproof zipper but. It just slides really well and you got the big pull tabs as well for gloves on or off, so we’ve got two big thighs. Pockets here we’ve got a bunch of stuff in my pocket already then we’ve got the. Lower pocket here and the lower thigh. Again i haven’t used that for anything. But you can never have enough pockets on. The side we’ve got the mesh openings. With a little bit of a mesh there so that snow doesn’t get in so you can pull those down a day like today it’s pretty warm out they want to do some venting so I’d open those up as i ski and get the air draft through which is nice on the. Bottom of that pants we’ve got full. Gator last size at the bottom nice and. Sticky so sticks to your boots we’ve got the reco in there as well nice feature. And then there is also a zip to get them. Around your boots a little bit easier. Overall i would say that sawn has done a. Great job with the quest motion fit. Piece. Good color coordination overall really. Comfortable one thing i did forget on the jacket, so we’ve got thumb loops and no snow is getting in there it’s sewn in. So really nice coverage keeps you warm. Keeps the weather out helps you look good and that’s the salomon quest motion.
