Regular reorder customers without any negative feedback, We are purely hand-made, and will be tested prior to shipment, so that customers get the best bow .Our Longbow is your perfect source for reliable, fast, convenient, and of course cool Longbow.
So we’re coming at you with another, the Hungarian style, handmade long bow or a recurve bow picked it up off Amazon. It was very highly rated but uh. There’s no video reviews on it. So I wanted to show you guys this thing. So, first off it seems like it’s like an artificial leather wrapped in like twine or something I, don’t know, and then some type of wood I really don’t know anything about those I’ll be straight up, I, just kind of got this one because it was recurve and I liked.
The idea of it and I saw that video of that dude on YouTube Laura, something killing it and I was like. You know, that’s really cool, because then what? If you don’t have a gun and you have to learn how to shoot a bow. So I picked this bad boy up and it came with a string. It’s telling my sister in the car you’re supposed to use bow wax. So I put a little sensi Scentsy wax all over this, so you should be good to go, but I got it in 45 pound draw weight, yeah, it’s pretty sweet, hasn’t broken yet honestly, I’m just a very bad shot.
I’ll show you, but it doesn’t have an arrow shelf. So there’s nowhere to put your arrow, so I got to wear this little glove. I totally cut my hand with the fletching. So there it is how’s it I’m 5-4. So here’s a good little guesstimate of what’s going on here I mean it’s pretty cool and I enjoy it. I recommend it. You guys are probably better shots. I mean get more out of it. I’m almost a hundred percent positive. You can go hunting with it, but I’m not at that point yet I’m just trying to hit a target from 10 feet away.

Checking out the Hungarian recurve longbow, it’s very nicely crafted it shoots really. Well, it’s actually a lot of fun and I took a few shots at the ground and I think I killed it because it’s not moving pew-pew. It’s actually really cool bow for a hundred bucks. You can’t go wrong.
Eight bows all under two hundred dollars, which bow is best for you. The number one question I get is: what bow should I buy and thank you for all the support by purchasing our archery products. This allows me to buy these bows, having no affiliation with these companies, so that I can give you honest reviews. Specs, speed, smoothness, snag ability and sacrifice is the scale we are testing.
These bows to each person is different and each bow is different, meaning I don’t know exactly what bow you will need, but my goal is to give you enough information, so you can make an educated choice on the next bow to buy. So, let’s get right into it. We are testing the accuracy of these specs, which means this bow should be at 35 pounds and at the amazing 28 inch draw length.
We are at 32 3 nine pounds, meaning we’re three pounds off of what this draw weight should be and here’s another angle of the bow. This is supposed to be a hungarian style longbow. Now I don’t know a lot about historical archery, so I don’t know how historically correct this bow is, but I’m gonna test it. Two speed, smoothness snag ability, sacrifice and smoothness uh.
You know this is a right-handed bow, but the cool thing about it is it’s also a left-handed bow, because you shoot right off of your hand. So you can interchange from a left to a right-handed bow draw length is 28 inches which would be there. They say max. Draw length is 33, so you can you can get this bow pretty far back. If you would like to the bow length from tip to tip, is 54 inches and recommended? Brace height is 6 1 inches as far as materials go.
They say it’s wood and cow leather, although I’m very suspicious that this is actually wood. Underneath this leather and as a matter of fact, through all my testing with this bow, I got a nick in the bow. So where there’s a nick, you take a knife to it and check it for yourself, and yes, indeed, we have one big piece of fiberglass for the bow lambs, no one under there.
Yet that’s not in the description just wanted to let you know. That is something to keep in mind, because I just have a couple hundred shots through this bow and the leather did get nicked. So if you want it to look pretty, if you take it out into the woods the leather can tear, I have no clue when that happened. It might have just caught a branch, but just just to keep that in mind.
Also in the title they say their bow can go from 20 to 110 pounds. Yes, let’s click on that link and then you get in there and boom 35 to 60. Pounds is their options for this bow later on. In the description they say, 35 to 60 pounds, so they are not consistent with what they say they offer. But yes, indeed, you can get a bow, that’s 35 to 60 pounds just in that range by five pound increments.
As far as the bowstring goes, I have no clue what kind of bowstring this is never seen, something quite like it. There’s no wax on it and it’s an 11 strand, bow string and it really seems like serving material or nylon or something different, something I haven’t seen, but it shoots fine through this bow now. This section here at the end is a sia.
It’s a non-bending section that is connected to the main limb with twine. The twine holds this leather down that protects the limb or covers the fiberglass, but adds no structural benefit. Then it transitions to some more twine into the arrow rest. The leather handle twine again to the other limb and off to the other sia. Is that how you say that we have a leather grip and where the arrow is supposed to be placed, they turn a piece of leather around.
So you can have the flesh side out. You can get an arm guard that actually has leather that comes up over the thumb, so that you can use that as the arrow rest, and so, as you draw back and shoot it’s going over the leather on your hand acting as the air arrest, so it doesn’t scratch up your hand, shooting 50 shots. Wasn’t too bad once you get closer to 100, I definitely started seeing red marks on my hand from shooting the arrow, so I would suggest or completely recommend that, if you’re going to use this, as your main driver, you’ll, definitely want some protection there on your hand.
So as far as the specs for this bow right here, we’re going to give this bow a 5 out of 10, because the poundage was slightly off. They didn’t mention the fiberglass, and one of the bigger things is that they said it could go to 110 pounds, but once you actually get into the listing it can’t, I just cut my own fletching off with that shot.
If you’re too good of a shot, you uh waste arrows, I’m just kidding, I’m like three feet away. Maybe one of the really cool things about this leather arm guard is that it molds to the shape of your arm so that after you shoot it a while it just molds right there to the shape of your arm. I call this the ultimate arm guard. We actually manufacture them.
We also make archery tabs. If you want one 10 off through monday, shatterproofarchery com is where you can get those two things also hip quivers like this one are up for selling the website as well super handy to have a place to hold your arrows instead of shoving them in the dirt. So those are a few products we have to offer. Also custom bow strings, d97, b55 and fast flight.
We have in many colors and we’re even coming up with more colors soon. So, if you need any of that stuff check out shatterproof archery com, I’ve got videos on there specific videos for each individual product. I’m almost done with all of those videos and those videos don’t go on youtube. So if you want to go watch me for some weird reason more, then you can go onto the website at the top there’s just a little videos.
Tab! Click on that. You can look through all those so check out that thanks so much all your support really really means a ton to me. Thank you so much. It allows me to make these videos and I’m just really grateful, and sometimes it’s hard to know how to say that. But I just just thank you. I really mean it. I really do. Thank you so much yes, so we give this a 5 out of 10 on the specs next section.
The snagability test, as you guys know, is testing how quick I can pick up the bow and how good of a shot I am with it in relation to all those other bows back there. How I did this and shooting this out of target 50 times and I scored the target now. This bow looks like I shot at 345, which is actually the very bottom of the barrel, because 406 is the average.
Now I don’t think this bow. Is that bad? The reason I think I shot that bat is because of the handle. There is no air arrest and that took a little bit of getting used to for me and then on top of that, because it’s not center shot. I was missing way far left a lot like a lot a lot and then, as soon as I hit about the 30 to 35th shot, I started shooting much better with this bow.
So I bet, if I did that test again like I think I could do so much better huh. Actually I might just go up here. I’m gonna go out back, I’m gonna take 50 shots and tell you what I scored the second time with it. I know it’s kind of cheating, because this this bow just might take a little longer to learn, but I want to see what I can do a second time.
Okay, here’s my first little bundle here. You can see how many are off to the left. So if I make a slight adjustment, I should be able to hit a whole lot more in the center one of the fletchings hit my hand and a little bit of blood there so probably recommend wearing one of those protectors. It’s a good shot. Folks see we’re already bringing it in.
So let’s knock out the rest of these I’ll. Let you know my score. Okay, so I’m gonna go back and shoot these last five shots. I know you can’t see me, but I made it back to the bow, see just knocked it. Okay, I think I’ve shot better but uh with you watching. This feels like a little pressure, but let’s see what I can do. I like pressure, shot one close, okay, not so bad see.
If we can pull that in a little bit to the right come on baby, let’s go three more shots. Ah, that’s no good you’re better than that crammer! Let’s do this! This one’s a ten ring, oh just high, all right real time last shot show them what you got. Let’s go. That’s sweet guys all right! Let’s jog up here there you have it the hungarian bow and I scored 416 on this final second round.
I guess you could say: that’s not actually a part of the snagability test, but in relation to the other bows, that’s pretty good, because averages 406 416s me right in there within like 20 shots, I believe of 80 percent of the bows. So I shot a lot better, the second time and take that for what it’s worth, because that second time I shot a lot better, the first time, not so good, but to stick to our rules, we’re giving this a 2 out of 10 on the snag ability, even though I feel like it’s better than that and I kind of screwed up and I didn’t shoot as well as I could have, but as a lesson 2 out of 10.
If it was 100, shot, snag ability, it would have been improved a little bit better. But according to these other bows, I have to give it a two out of ten, even though I want to give it a better score, I’m having so much fun with this bow right here. It’s just such a different experience, but we’re going to test the smoothness quietness comfortability.
They all go hand in hand when you have one, that’s good. They all three kind of line up in a row. So take a listen here about the noise. You hear and I’ll explain to you what I feel also something else you can pay attention to is like the vibration in the hand and I’ll try to hold the bolum up, and you can see how it moves. It has a decent amount of vibration.
Just continues to move after the air is gone. Yeah, there’s quite a bit of vibration, the handle’s just around. I don’t think this bow is supposed to be the most comfortable. That’s not what they’re going for, but at the same time I’m still going to give it a smoothness, quietness comfortability score and that score is going to be a four.
It’s not the worst, but it’s uh. It’s not the best either. Contrary to popular belief. You know I I do have emotions and some days I feel like a silence video in other days, I’m just like speed test. I shot this bow. 10, grains per pound of draw weight, so 320 green arrow for a 32 pound bow through the chronograph, and we got 165 feet per second which, in my exploration, that’s in the middle, maybe slightly above middle, so we’re going to give it a 6 out of 10 on this speed test.
It’s basically all I have to say for that. If you want more information on the speed test check out this whole playlist of videos, that’s down below of all of these bow reviews, 8 10, 10, 11, 11, 12, 11 11. I think, by the end of the series I’ll have 11 on there. All right sacrifice talking about the sacrifice of this bow. Now. This bow is only 99 at the time of recording this video 100 rouge and for my values of a bow.
This bow doesn’t fit those values. It doesn’t mean it’s necessarily a bad bow, though, because I really like smoothness and comfortability of shooting- I like my hand to fit really well in the bow so that I’ve got this really good purchase and and this bow’s not that so, for the sacrifice, we’re gonna go with a six, because it’s such a cheap bow, it’s a fun bow.
You can actually probably with practice, get pretty good with your aim with this bow, I would just keep in mind that you are shooting off your hand, so you would want some sort of arm guard that covers that or just put a glove on. You could even wear a leather glove or something and and that’ll help out that, but it’s a fun bow to shoot.
Overall, it just isn’t my favorite. It can drive me crazy. How there’s like not a perfect way to give a bow review, but I hope this does help you out in picking a bow, and this bose scored a 23 out of 50, which is really bad on the scale, and I feel like it’s a much better bow than that and the scale probably doesn’t lend itself well to this bow and with this scale, different bows are gonna score worse, and that doesn’t mean it’s a bad bow and that’s because different people use bows for different reasons, safe to decide what you want.
Your bow for this specific bow is a fun bow to shoot, but a score is low on the values that I like in a bow, and I hope that makes sense- and I guess if I can give you more information than the listing online- gives you, then it’s a positive for me and it’s a win for me and I’m hoping this will be able to help some of you guys out so again.
Full playlist below also reminder have a sell on the website through cyber monday 10 off the entire store. I’ve got like four wallets left in stock and those are discontinued, so you can check those out as well. If you want one of our last wallets, that being said, stay positive, be shatter. Proof see you guys later. Oh, I almost messed that would have been bad bad bad.
Talking about the sacrifice of this bow, don’t fall.
