Hello, okay, so this is the jacket. As you see it’s like completely lined up. Oh my god. This part is so warm okay and it is a 2x. So I think I got it way too big. I was scared that it was going to be like one small, but even though it’s a little bigger on me, I like it because it’s just more, it holds a lot of heat so that extra bigness. For me, it’s like a heater inside um. I don’t know if this makes me any different, but so this is the jacket I’m a little, I’m on the plus size of things, I’m 270 and I’m five, seven, not afraid to say it.

So this is because I need some type of air on me. This jacket is so warm, it’s crazy 2x. I think it fits, but I think it was smaller, but I want to be comfortable too. At the same time, I just wish they had it in the pink army fatigue, but they didn’t so they had it in one x, but I was scared to buy it and won that which I could have went for. It was, this is cool warm guys, I’m gonna take it out because I’m sweating already in this thing.

Here it’s kind of cool that they package it in a space bag, but we’ll go ahead and open this up here. This thing is heavy. It’s nice! It’s got a really nice fur-lined hood on it, and this is the first time I’ve open it up. You can take the hood off if you want just by unzipping it here, they’re all laid out here. Sorry, sometimes a harder when you’re trying to do a video to kind of show things all right got the hood off there lay it out, got a really nice rubber seal for the zippers lots of nice snaps for the jacket.

It’s got a really nice soft liner on it. So I look forward to using this one, this winter for working outside or even snowboarding. So it’s a good good deal.

This jacket is extremely well made, as the stitches are incredibly well made. It includes a description of what the jacket is made of and what it can hold: windproof, waterproof, etc. It has several pockets on the inside and outside of the jacket, and it even includes a hook for headphones sleeves help to avoid wind to get in the jacket.

It’s a your tm s not been used during winter, yet, but trying it out. I could notice that it tm s, super warm great jacket overall, sixer tm, two or two hundred and fifteen pounds fits perfect. 2Xl feels really comfortable and super lightweight love. The sleeve insert so thumb hooks and then fasten the velcro strap on sleeve and good to go numerous pockets, two zip on the front chest and two big snap pockets, then, on inside a big open web, one on left and a big zippered one on the right for the price recommend gg one stroke.

Four I’ll admit I didn’t have high expectations for a jacket from a brand. I’ve never heard of a lot of chinese manufacturers are selling products with names in all capital, letters and hard to pronounce, and a lot of them that I tried have been more or less junk, but this is actually quite nice. The stitching and materials actually feel very high quality and there are generous pockets galore on this.

It even offers a sleeve that your fingers and thumb fit through but helps keep your palm and wrist warm perfect to prevent leaking of cold air between gloves and your coat sleeve. It’s a rather bulky coat, but this is par for the course with ski jackets that I’ve owned. Color me impressed you.

So I have two jackets here. The reason being that this one that I am reviewing here this want to do is right here. This one I’m reviewing that you’re looking at is really a clone of this North Face jacket. It’s just really similar to this North Face jacket, so I thought first I would put this North Face jacket on and then show you, the one do clone and just kind of give you a sense of a comparison in a nutshell. These jackets are just incredibly similar, alright, so the main features of this North North Face coat it has sleeve cuffs you can tighten.

It’s got a big male side, zipper, meaning you zip up on the right side. It’s a male side, zipper velcro, a couple of front pockets here, no internal pocket in it. It has a hood hook which I always use when I’m, skiing and snowboarding and you can tighten up and if you need to you, can pop the hood off because it has snaps and you can pop the hood off. So that’s the main features of this jacket I’m using for years and really liked it again. It’s a North Face coat, it’s not too thick, it’s not down or anything like that, but it does have a smooth lining on the inside and a little bit of insulation and a really nice shell, alright.

So that is this North Face coat in a nutshell. Alright, so here is the what do jacket and it has a female side zipper. So your zipper is over on the left side and obviously you know men and women who use the female side zipper. The zipper is just a teeny bit rough and sometimes hard to pull down, so it just kind of catches a little bit, but you know not a big deal. You can figure it out, but it’s just a little bit rough. It also has the velcro wrist cuffs, just like the North Face jacket.

It has a one pocket here instead of two, it has the same pockets here and it has the hood. It has the hood, which is also detachable and actually I, think the hood is just a little bit more capacious or roomy than that Northeast this one, this hood actually zips off as opposed to buttoning off and actually I, prefer that the buttoning off hood, often pops off inadvertently when you don’t want it up. As far as inside the coat you’ve got an interior pocket, which you don’t have it on the North Face jacket and the lining is different.

Let me just show you that it has a kind of fuzzy fleecy lining on the hood and the jacket, and it still has that kind of water-resistant shell. So overall I would say: I am pretty impressed with this clone. It does not have the North Face brand I know a lot of people are really into brand-name, clothing and other items, but it does not have the North Face brand, but it is a pretty awesome jacket for the price. If you want to compare this to North Face go right ahead.

You’ll see the difference yourself. This guy is a medium. This is a medium-size jacket and the North Face is a medium-size jacket and no kidding. This thing fits me exactly the same as the medium North Face jacket. One thing it doesn’t have, which I really kind of missed, is the ability to seal up the bottom. I’m gonna show you this this one thing I missed that doesn’t have is it does not have a bungee cord on the bottom, which allows you to really seal up the bottom, so you can get a good closure on the bottom.

It has velcro and everything, but it will remain open on the bottom. Our one nice thing about that north base coat I’ll show you here is that it has a bungee on the bottom which allows you you know if you’re, skiing or snowboarding, when I really to seal up the bottom. It doesn’t look good with the bottom, all sealed up on the North Face, but it will keep you a little bit warmer and drier overall I gotta tell you. This is a pretty nice coat for me. It’s going to be a backup and a duplicate of my North Face jacket and I like it.

It is obviously not a North Face brand, but I think it has many, if not all or more, of the features of my North Face.

Am reviewing a Jimmy’s women’s mountain, waterproof ski jacket, winter wind proof, rain, jacket, here’s the jacket, go, you’ll, see it on in another review. Today, on this nice jacket, this jacket is supposed to be waterproof windproof, and I can’t remember what else we will rein it in a little bit on this jacket. If you look right here, it has this, which is a this, is kind of a rubbery velcro thing, but you can take put your gloves on and then you can make this as tight as you need it to go.

My watch is there, so not bad I did order up a size so and I’m glad I did it is pretty nice I, don’t know if you can see how long yeah you see how long he goes goes down to here. He has mesh pockets here. It has a fleece, my earth, a faux fur mining here, have more pockets. Yes, as another pocket right here. That has a zipper and it has that pocket.

Seven, either one there, okay, his zipper closure. It also has the flap that goes crossed to where you can button it here and it buttons down at the bottom has zippers here: no zipper there pockets the head zippers. It has these little toggles on all the zippers. It has a hood that has the same lining in it. You can tighten it up. Do it help if I didn’t card on it? Of course it is hot.

Here. Has the air conditioner on it has the feels like chicken tighten it here, and it has the little creepy things to where you can cinch it down, but y’all I think this is gonna, be a really nice jacket. This jacket was sent to me by Jimmy’s. It has her logo right here. Has their logo right here and the material it’s a pretty heavy material, yeah I’m getting hot.

All right so quick follow-up, video for this jacket, so I’ve been skiing for the last over there she’s a shredder and my cousin trav back there shredding as well hate. It’s been raining the whole time here and the jackets held up really nicely. So you can kind of look at that right there. It’s terrible weather here, but it’s held up grape about four hours in the rain, and some snow I want to point out sleeve, actually has a nice cutout for your thumb as well to catch any of that snow.

If you’re gonna use this to board or ski or something like that, so that’s really nice too! It’s a little bit small! So I have a little bit longer arms, probably than this is made for so it’s really tight right there, so I could see it ripping soon, but so far, so good five-hour skiing in the rain in this jacket and I’m still really dry in here. Hey Jim dreamy I wanted to show you my company called Jim, Mies I. Don’t really know you say that G and like Mike y se 69 98. Gotta. Keep that in mind here. This is a very nice three-in-one jacket for the money.

Why did I get this I actually have a three-in-one jacket, but I had a really nice three-in-one jacket and I have to go home to see my parents in Illinois and I live in Georgia and I. Don’t want to take my nice jacket up there because I’ll end up doing things in my dad’s garage that will get all over it and I thought hey. You know, spend 70 bucks and if I mess it up well, you don’t I mess it up because I can wash it and it’ll.

Be my work check it after that. But this is a very nice jacket for $70. First, it’s it’s a it’s a nice three-in-one. They say this is the Teflon material, I kind of have to take their word for it, but but it’s a nice material this this pocket right here, there’s my fingers, that’s how deep it is nice for, like chap, sticks, I, guess you could put some money in there. If you didn’t want to have to dig for your pants pocket.

There’s you know your pockets. You’d have to reach all the way up there, this this chest pocket now, I! Might it’s a little deeper I have an iPhone excess Mac excess? That is a 10 hands by the way, a 10s max with a defender, auto box case on this, and so it’s a fairly large phone. This really not gonna fit in here. It does fit rather nicely in these pockets down here on the side, which would be very, very functional.

I have a regular hip case that I, wear and I would probably wear that and in case like that. But but this is a this- is a really nice jacket it’s attractive. It’s you’re not gonna, see the workmanship on this and the types of details that you get I’ve got my my three-in-one jacket is look, let’s call it a South, but okay, it’s you both of you to pay attention to things like that. Hopefully, you’ll find the humor in this.

If not sorry, this was funny here in my office, but um. This is a nice jacket. It comes with a nice snap here at the bottom and, of course, velcro closures here to kind of seal in the zipper area. The zipper here these are, you know a nice three-in-one jacket if you buy like my south, but it was up many times more expensive than this, but for the for the amount of money that this is, this is a very high quality jacket.

Now you have to kind of get used to the idea that this opens a this outside zipper opens a little differently now. Details comes with a zip off hood here on the back. The hood comes up. It’s a nicely sized hood. I, don’t have any problem with the size. I, don’t I. Don’t really do this much we’re in Georgia, but in Illinois I will wear the hood, but it’s a nice hood. It comes with the chin straps on here, which are, you know, put you come across here.

They have both you’re on them. You get the eye. You get the idea on that now. I did not secure the inside lining. It is a three in one. So when I pulled this thing off, sleeves are gonna come out of this, which is just which is just fine and I’m. Gonna have to hold them funcly’ until I can get all the way out of it. Now what I did do is I did zip the inside liner in you know to the outside shelf and- and this thing comes off very nicely like this, and it comes out like that inside liner.

This is a. This is a very nice like a fleece microfiber, whatever you want to call it, it’s not real. It’s polyester, who-knows-how-many polyesters had to die to make this happen, but if I can get my arm inside of this thing, it would be nice. This worked well when I was practicing with it. Oh that’s why he didn’t do it because I pulled the sleeve out wrong, but but you’ll see here that sleeve comes out of there, just fine and then I can now I can’t get my harm at live.

Tv no script, I’ve gotta love it now. This is very nice on the inside I. Don’t think that this this is made like it’s a real pocket. It’s actually lined as you can you see that yeah, it’s a line pocket and then, if I wanted to keep that inside of here, that would be more than KB and what’s nice is this is an actual real pocket? It’s it’s completely sewn all the way around and in it it’s it’s able to hold the hold little goodies like that.

The zipper here works very nicely again. This is a this. Is a nice zipper on this and the pockets here are very deep: the pockets on this thing you know they’re again, my my 10s max with the OtterBox Defender case fits in it very nicely. Now what you have here, these little loops. You see that yeah this little loop here this little loop here and I’ll show you the one on the back of it here. You can see it there that things sticking out on the back of my neck.

That’s another loop! What that does! This is the neck loop, so you can sit there and attach it to the neck, and then on the inside of these sleeves, you roll this up. Now there it’s a little further up than what you would expect because see with see where these are. These aren’t like right down on the cuff, but then then this is the loop on the inside of that. So the cuffs stay where they’re supposed to stay when you want to utilize it as I’ve completely as a completely heavy jacket.

Alright, frankly, not today, we we I, think it’d have just gotten them low 30s today, here in Atlanta Georgia, which is like everybody’s thinks, they’re gonna die, but but but it, but it’s very, very, very well made only drawback and I’m, not letting it affect. You know how I evaluate this because I’m putting a curve on this thing because of the price. The only drawback is when you bring this thing up, it’s tight in the neck on this.

Now, when it’s in the three in one position, you know when I have it as a liner. This never gets zipped, because I’m zipping, the outside of the the shell of the jacket that that zipper- and this doesn’t do this I- don’t know if this is an issue. I do not believe that this is something that quality control could catch, but that there’s a good possibility of that, but considering the prices I’m paying for this and the purpose for which I’m get I’m using this, for this is perfectly acceptable to me- may not be accept acceptable to you.

I have a lot of 16 little over 16 inch neck. If you’ve got a really big neck, you just need to get the next size up. This is a large, so pull this off real quickly, and so that’s that’s that now you show you this material up a little closer here. The material is very soft. It’s the pleasant color this. This is the the navy, blue and I. Don’t know what they call this. We used to call this weight with blue back in the 80s.

Who knows what it is now the shell. It is a liable showing what’s nice, it also has a liner in it. So when you put the shell on, if you’re wearing a shirt like the shirt that I have on, it’s not going to be grabby and it allow your shirt to uh get to you know not bunch up on you or or if you’re wearing a sweater, for example. Well, that would be that now, of course, these type of jackets by their very nature, they’re gonna, be grabby.

Whenever you put anything on this is not it’s got velcro tighteners here on the wrist. This is a this. Is that zipper that I was telling you about before, rather than go all the way through the jacket? So you can I scratch your arm around why they ever do that on some of the three and once they put it all the way through, but this is an actual pocket. That’s the pocket! On the inside of here, they do give you a little pocket right here now again using my 10×10 s-max I’ll.

Put that in there it doesn’t go all the way down, but because of where it is I believe would be pretty secure unless I was actually skiing or snowboarding, or things that I would never do not at my age, tennis, yes, snowboarding ski absolutely freaking, not, but this is a. This is a very nice jacket and, of course, this thing of this thing, zips up very nicely I should I demonstrated that earlier it’s got nice appointments on it.

You know the little yellow line nerds that they put on this thing impressed with now get mice gym, ice or jennice. You know there’s no way to know how to really really pronounce this thing. This comes in a blue weight, a it’s, not a deep black, but with a black finish here on the inside. They call this thing an uncle and Boer War. You know right here. They call it a collection. They talk about how this is a breathable this.

This is not some of the breathable fabrics that we have here in the US, but it is a waterproof snow proof and sun proof, so it probably won’t break down on you in that, but it is wind proof as well and of course then you’ve got the you know if you’re, if you’re fluent in Chinese, then this is the content. Okay, so but nice jacket, 70 bucks I mean I I’m very impressed with this, because if I mess this up, I don’t care, but it’s a nice jacket.

I really would not want to wantedly mess it up, but but it’s it’s purpose-built I think we have to look at things like that. Doesn’t compare with it with a jacket just three times. This is expensive. No, but it’s not two times as expensive. It’s three times less expensive, and so that’s why we get jackets like this. That’s why I buy jackets like this and I bought jackets like this and I was incredibly pleased with my purchase and you will be too so I hope you get.

Man, I am sweating. This thing is hot, perfect, perfect coat for winter. It’s got this nice liner in here that zips out good jacket for uh all times of the year. I’m warm! You know it’s a little scary to walk underneath these icicles to come in here. I just noticed my jacket is waterproof. That’s pretty cool! It’s like it’s raining on me. But what the duct deck active means is its water resistant so like during the winter or if it rains and I’m outside I won’t get soaked right away. It’s fleece lined very soft material here in the center. This pocket on the left side is velcro. A strong velcro I can’t get it off very easily with just one hand, but there’s one pocket there and then, on this side, there’s a zipper up pocket which I like that, a lot you can put your cell phone in their wallet just in case yeah my feet.

Let’s see here I’m kind of curious. What the washing instruction says: cotton, shell, which I guess at the outside I’m working I’m, worried about the washing because I want to wash this first before I. Wear it okay says: don’t don’t don’t have a spark on it or whatever, because it will catch on fire. It’s like! Oh yeah. It’s not flame-retardant machine wash warm with like colors and then do not bleach, which I wouldn’t need to bleach it tumble dry, a medium heat, remove Oh, promptly, I! Guess it says: okay, so I can the machine wash it medium, medium, so warmness and then want a dryer medium.

Basically, what that saying? That’s the other logo right there, UFCW I, don’t know what UFCW is, but this very nice jacket. It’s got. The hood! Obviously, on the sleeves I’ll show you this here. It’s got that little stuff there, so it keeps snowing cold from going up the sleeves metal, zipper matters, metal, zipper, pulley, thingy, -, it’s cool all brass.

It looks like this is a car heart logo, I, guess singing another tag doesn’t say the price, but I think it was around 130 dollars. I! Think for this one, but I like this jacket, a lot it’s a very nice jacket, I like my stuff loose-fitting, so I could have gone down a side or two maybe at most, but then it would be tight. But I like this, it’s nice and loose okay, I thought that was something else but uh.

It fits great I love. This jacket, there’s nothing on the back. It’s all this canvas type material, as you can see, bluish, alright guys if you have any questions on car Hertz or if you have anything you want to write down below. This is my favorite pocket, it’s the most useful pocket that it has, but it still has a little Carhartt tab. So that’s good. The insides held up really well after 15 years of use. Maybe we’ve got a little hole here and a little wear and tear along the hood line, and you know the hood is just a little just a little frayed and every jacket I own, for whatever reason, has a hole right here from welding right in the right elbow from having my my elbow bent while welding and then you know, got a little fraying right here and just a little rough right here around the cuffs just a little rough, just a little rough, this one’s also just a little rough yeah.

You know it’s repairable, no big deal repairable, no big deal ish, but yeah. The backside is good. You know me. I always got a good, so yeah brother, Shalom, I’m glad she got a cool jacket. I cannot tell you they’re good for at least a decade and a half if you’re not too worried about looking awesome, but I know you. You said you’re hard on your stuff, as am I I am a bear as you well know, and let me tell you that they’ll last and last and last so man I’m happy for you.

Right now, I’m wearing the J 130 Carhartt sandstone duck active jacket with a quilt flannel lining on the interior. Now this has the 12 ounce 100% cotton sandstone duck exterior. It also has piled yarns woven into that for added durability. Now the sandstone fabric is a micro sanded fabric that they do have the car hearts factory so that it feels soft when you buy it and it’s not as stiff as the traditional duck material.

This has the quilt flannel lining in the body, which is one of the warmest linings that Carhartt manufactures, and it has the nylon lining in the arms, so it still slides over layers easily without getting stuck. This jacket comes with an attached quilt, flannel lined three-piece hood, an adjustable tipped draw cord. In this video, we’re gonna take a quick, puffer jacket, so here we go, you can see. It’s compressed comes with this pouch that you can stuff it into for when you’re on the road, but without further ado, let’s get inside and take a look. So it’s relatively straightforward to take out now this actually detaches, we’ll just throw that to the side for the time being- and hopefully I can get this all in shop.

For you, we have the zipper as YKK zippers, which is great even Amazon. Essentials is you know, budget brand, it’s nice to see that you’ve got some really sturdy, reliable zips on this thing, so I’ll show you the top part here now. We must say that this coat or this jacket sorry is available in a quite a wide range of colors available on Amazon, and now we have got the synthetic version.

This one also comes in a down where it’s filled with down and also we’ve got the one without a hood. It does also come with a hood again in a synthetic and a down version, so few different styles to choose from a few different colors Amazon essentials is a real up-and-coming. You know a brand on the Amazon site where they make just you know essential clothing, so a jacket t-shirts a lot basically and we’ve got a hands and a few things and we’ve been quite impressed.

So far. So as I said, it’s got the YKK zipper here, which zips all the way up from the bottom, a nice you know collar here a little bit thicker. We have one this a few times. It’s got a good amount of testing so far and it is pretty warm. The warmth of weight ratio is quite good. Actually, so you can fit a load of stuff in here, zip that up and the same goes for the other side.

I always get to have pockets. You know pop your bits in there or just to keep your hands extra. Warm then coming back down we’ll unzip this all the way and inside nothing too crazy to shout home about we’ve got one place here and then another kind of little long pocket. We don’t often use these pockets inside but they’re there, a few jackets do have them, and then what we’ve got here we’ve got this little bag that we put it into.

If you want to, you can obviously stuff it down one of these internal pockets or, additionally, you can hook it over a little tab in here pop that through and there we go. This does remind us of the unique low jacket of the same nature that we’ve previously tested on pocket. Calm very similar and very similar results. Actually, this one comes in a little bit cheaper.

Hey there, my name is david on this episode. I’m gonna be doing a gear review, men’s lightweight water, resistant, packable, hooded puffer jacket, it’s quite the mouthful, so this jacket- I just I got this a few months ago, so I’ve been using it quite a while. It is quite a lightweight jacket. I’ll weigh it in a bit here, because I notice there’s no there’s no weight measurement on this thing and when you’re buying a lightweight puff jacket, often like if you’re one someone like me, who’s like looking at patagonia or all these other brands, you actually want to know how many grams it is I’ll, weigh it for you guys.

So you see, but basically I’ll go over the features first. So first off this comes in two varieties, one with the hood and one without I’ll, just bring up the hood here. So you can see what I’m wearing here is: I’m almost six feet tall, so I’m five foot eleven and a half- and this is the men’s small. I did buy this in a medium and it was way too big. It was like buying like a large. Normally, I buy medium clothes, but this thing was huge. I actually had to send it back and get the small.

This thing comes with obviously the puffer jacket and it comes in one of the pockets here, the bag, so it has a little bag and a little cinch bag. You can kind of close it up. It’s got these elastic wrist things, so you can cinch it down over your whatever your gloves or something. Basically, it’s pretty simple: two pockets, a really lightweight jacket. You can see here it is 418 grams. It’s not as light as like a patagonia nano or something like that.

But for the price, it’s pretty. It’s a pretty good value. This jacket in canadian prices. It ranges from dollars to seventy two dollars based on the size. The bigger you are, the cheaper it is which is kind of weird but anyways. I originally paid uh 55 bucks, something like that and then, when I got the small I’d pay 72 in the states, you guys get them all flat. I think for 45 bucks kind of about 58 bucks, canadian. So that’s roughly the price for this thing.

So yeah I mean so far, I’ve found I mean I haven’t used this for a long time like years, but so far notice like it’s just it seems pretty well constructed. It keeps me really warm when I’m out hiking a lot warmer than I thought it would, because it really just doesn’t weigh much yeah there’s a inside pocket here, which eh I mean it is stitched multiple times. It does feel like at some point. Maybe it’ll it’ll rip. I don’t know it does actually have like five layers of stitching here.

So who knows just two inside pockets. They are really deep, like almost too deep, like you can’t really get to the bottom of like it’s really hard to get your hand all the way to the bottom. So if you put small stuff in there, it might be a bit of a pain in the butt, but yeah I’ll show you what this looks like in the bag. So this bag is a very snug fit, that is for sure, okay, after a bunch of canoodling, with this there we go it’s in the bag, cinch it down.

There we go there. We go so that’s that’s the uh size you can see compared to my head, so that’s the size here I’ll put on this side. So that’s full size. It’s about you know a little bit bigger than my hand should know too for this bag. It does have one little hoop on the bottom, so you can potentially hook it or hang it, maybe on the outside of your bag. It also makes it really easy to pull it out of the bag. You’re, not fiddling with it, but yeah.

I mean this thing feels really nice really nice, it’s a synthetic one. So there’s no animal products in it, there’s no like feathers or whatever, which is one that I was looking for and it’s really affordable. So I mean I’m a big fan of this thing. I’ve uh, I prefer ones, maybe a little brighter colors, but they have added some colors, but once again the hooded ones seem to have uglier colors than the non-hooded ones, and it seems the um, the non-hooded ones.

You’re gonna basically take off about 10 bucks. So that’s basically it for this thing. Um the zipper hasn’t snagged. It seems like it’s, you know pretty well built. I can’t really say what it’s like. Hey guys so today, we’re gonna be taking a look at the Amazon essentials, lightweight hooded puffer jacket, which I’m currently wearing, and so in the past couple of trips that I’ve taken out how to blast traveling with the bow back travel sweater, 2 0. We did a video on that pretty recently what we kind of went through all the different features that that’s what our offers.

One thing that I noticed is that, if I traveled to areas that are a little bit colder or are more likely to have rain, I did wish that I had something a little bit more robust and during these trips, that’s how a lot of people wearing these type of puffer jackets, even when it seemed to be really cold. So I was very curious about how well that would hold up, but I noticed that you could find some really great options from Patagonia or North Face, but they tended to be really pricey and since I don’t typically travel to places that are that cold and I was in Florida.

So it wouldn’t be something that I’d use regularly. It was curious to see what sort of maybe more lightweight but still versatile options were out there, and so after a little bit of research, I stumbled upon this Amazon essentials jacket here and it had a low price and I’ve had good experience with the Amazon products in the past. As you’ve seen on the channel, we reviewed the Amazon basics, travel backpack, and that was very impressive for the price, so I figured I’d just go ahead and order and test it out to see how it worked and overall I have to say, I’ve been really impressed with just how warm it is given its light weight and the fact that was so cheap and it’s become one of my new favorite travel items I actually liked it.

So much I went ahead and ordered a second one in a different color and one for my wife. So it’s been a really great experience so far, traveling with this jacket and I’m really excited to share with you guys. So, let’s just go ahead and dive in and take a closer look at the Amazon essentials, lightweight puffer jacket, so starting out with the overall look of the jacket, I’ve, never actually worn, puffer jackets in the past.

So this was definitely a new experience for me and overall I have to say I really like how well it seemed to match up with a lot of different outfits. Currently, the card that I have here is the heathered gray version of the jacket and I feel like, even though it’s heather gray, it has a little bit of a blue kind of tinge to it. It depends on how the light hitting it so sometimes I’ve had a little bit of trouble matching this up with some of my outfits, but overall I like this color.

A lot as I mentioned in the intro I did also buy a black version of the jacket. So here you can take a look at how those kind of compare to each other, but both very versatile colors. The jacket is also offered and blue and paying that’s the color that my wife got so lots of versatility in the different looks that you can get for this and because a low price point, it’s so easy to just buy a few to be able to match with a bunch of different stuff.

One thing: I noticed right off the bat once I got the jacket is, it doesn’t seem quite as puffy as other puffer jackets that I’ve seen in the past. So that’s definitely to be expected because of the low price point is definitely not gonna, be as robust as a real down jacket from something like Patagonia. So, as you can see just a little bit more on the flatter side, with the puffs but still comfortable to wear overall I like that, it’s a very slim, fitting jacket.

One thing that I did note is that first I ordered the medium, which is the size that I typically wear. That’s the size that I ordered for the boback’s travel jacket, but I did end up returning it and going with the small I feel like they’ve, run just a little bit big, especially if you’re like me and you, like kind of a tighter fit a slimmer look, you may want to size down just one size, but if not the medium didn’t look terrible on me, it was just a little bit looser fitting than I, typically liked for this type of jacket.

I’m 511, as you can see in the footage here, the jacket fits me pretty. Well, it’s not overly long. It’s a nice length the length of the sleeves it’s pretty good. They were ever so slightly short on me when I stretch my arms out, but for the most part, I didn’t notice any issues and even though I would say it’s not necessarily the stylish item of clothing when you’re traveling and you just need something practical and useful I’ve definitely enjoyed using this with jeans or with teen O’s and overall I have to say the look has been pretty nice.

One thing to note here is this: is the hooded version of the jacket they sell it without the hood and the hood on this version is not removable in any way, so you kind of just have to let it hang back when you don’t want to wear it, but I really wanted the version with the hood as I like how big this is. This really covers my face completely. So if I’m traveling somewhere, where it may be raining or there’s a lot of wind I like how high the zipper comes up, it covers my face, a good amount and it completely covers my ears.

It’s like a little helmet, so I really like this style of hood. This seems to be very common across different types of down and puffer jackets, that I’ve seen so very comfortable, but if you don’t think that you’re gonna be using it or you prefer to wear something like a beanie, you can buy it without and save just a little bit of money and so jumping into the materials.

The outside and inside lining are nylon, which is very lightweight, and it does a pretty good job of offering some water resistance. I haven’t been caught in a downpour with this jacket, but from what I’ve read on the Amazon reviews, it seems like some people, if they’ve had to wear over for long period in rain. Some water just start to seep through so just something to note, but if you’re just needing something to keep you dry while you find cover this should be more than enough as far as the inner material inside kind of the puffy areas of the jacket it’s just pure polyester, so definitely not any sort of fancy down material.

That’s really gonna help. Keep you warm in like a sub-zero climate, but I felt that it does a really good job. I’ve worn this in 20 to 30-degree weather with nothing, but a t-shirt on and I’m, not very good, with the cold weather as a Floridian and I have been very comfortable wearing this in that weather, without anything, but a t-shirt, so I’ve been very impressed with just how warm this is able to keep me considering how lightweight and thin it feels one thing that I did note, and this is kind of where you start to see the price of the bag and just the Amazon essentials brand.

They do a good job of putting things out at a good price, but you do start to see some of the quality issues come through. So I’ve already started to notice some fraying and some of the stitching around the jacket and so another issue. I notice is that you can kind of see some of the inner polyester lining poking through near the sleeve, and so that doesn’t really look that nice.

It’s a little bit messy, but I didn’t really mind too much I, just kind of pull out the extra lining and so far it still hasn’t kind of affected. How I use the jacket and I didn’t notice this issue on the black jacket that I purchased or on my wife’s pink jacket? So it just seems to be isolated to this one that I have here, but just something to be aware of and again you’re gonna be paying a very low price for this sort of jacket.

So there will be some durability issues, but for the most part of you just need something lightweight and something that you’re not gonna, be worried about either damaging or losing while you’re on your trip. This is gonna, be a nice alternative. Another nice thing about this nylon material in the polyester lining is that think. It also does a good job of keeping wind out.

So it’s almost like a nice windbreaker I’ve worn this a lot while riding around on my skateboard or even when I get caught in windy areas. I feel that this keeps the wind from cutting into me much better than something like the bow backs: Travel sweatshirt that I wore or even some of the heavier sweaters that I typically use. They just seem to let wind in- and this has done a great job of kind of isolating me from that, and keeping me a little bit warmer.

One nice thing to see is that the jacket uses YKK zippers all around, and these have worked great, very easy to open and close the jacket they haven’t snagged at all. So this has been really nice to use on the outside. The jacket has two pockets that you can tuck your hands into, and these are actually really deep. I was impressed with just how deep they went, so they really help keep your hands warm, especially if you don’t have any gloves or anything like that, and then it’s nice that the outside pockets also have the nice YKK zippers here, just to add a little bit security.

If you want to put your phone or your wallet in there as you’re going through the airport, you can be confident that they’re not gonna fall out easy because of the depth and the fact that you can zip them up so really like having these zippered pockets on the outside and so opening the jacket up and taking a look at the inside. You can get a better look at the nylon lining that they have here.

There are two pockets on the inside of the jacket on the sides here, and I was impressed with just how deep these are. These are very simple: pockets, no internal organization, pretty thin too so I wouldn’t put anything too heavy in here, but I like how big they are. I can definitely see myself carrying something like an umbrella. You can see that will fit in here easily or if you have a water bottle or something, maybe even like a drone.

You could tuck in here so lots of space and versatility and what you can put in here on the bottom here, there’s a tag containing instructions for how to care for the jacket. So you can machine wash this in cold water, and so the just really great comfort over all the jacket has done. A great job of keeping me warm and dry, and it’s just so lightweight, which seems to be one of the biggest benefits of this style of jacket, is the fact that it weighs very little while still offering a lot of protection, and you can just throw this into your bag.

You can fold it up flat, as I typically like to do. One added bonus is that it does include this stuff pouch here, that you can actually roll the jacket into. So if you prefer to roll it up tight and stick it in this pouch, you can put it in your suitcase or hang it outside of your bag. Maybe even use it like a pillow I personally, don’t like to travel with the jacket rolled up like that as I feel like it gets very bulky and it can take up a lot of space in a bag, so I typically just either.

Wear it or pack it down a little bit flatter, but very easy to just kind of throw in anywhere it’s very comfortable to wear on a flight, much less of a pain to carry around than something like a big peak coat. So it’s just been a great versatile addition to my travel wardrobe. It’s really helped simplify how I travel for colder climates, especially and if you’re, looking for an affordable alternative to some of the great jean jackets that are available from other companies.

I, definitely recommend you check this one out and sort of wrap up. It’s been a really great experience. Traveling with the Amazon essentials, lightweight puffer jacket I’ve been really impressed with how warm it keeps me given how lightweight it is, and the fact that it comes in at such a great price point, and so you can purchase the hooded version of this jacket for about $45.

They also sell it without the hood for a little bit, less I think it comes in about 39 40 dollars, but I really like the use of the hood and at that price point. I think this is a fantastic deal. It may not be a jacket. That’s gonna hold up over your entire life like something from Patagonia or North Face, but if you’re not willing to invest two or three hundred dollars in a really fancy down jacket, and you want to just kind of experiment with something lightweight to just be able to throw in a travel bag.

This is definitely a great option to check out. They sell them in tons of different colors. As we talked about during the videos, so you can buy a bunch, and so, if you don’t like the look of the puffer jacket or you just want something- that’s gonna have a little bit more versatility. I might recommend, checking out the faux bags travel, sweatshirt, 2, 0 I’ve had a great experience traveling with that so far, so many of the features that that comes with I’ve actually been really useful, and so, if you want to see all the features that jacket has to offer, I’ll make sure to include a link in the description below to the video that we did for that.

Another item that might be good to check out if you’re, looking for just versatile travel clothing, that might be good for lightweight packing, would be something like the Oliver’s merino Henley that we took a look at a little while back. That’s also been just a nice, very simple shirt that works well on a variety of climates. It has a nice style and merino clothing is definitely something any experienced.

Traveler is gonna recommend. So I have two jackets here. The reason being that this one that I am reviewing here this want to do is right here. This one I’m reviewing that you’re looking at is really a clone of this North Face jacket. It’s just really similar to this North Face jacket, so I thought first I would put this North Face jacket on and then show you, the one do clone and just kind of give you a sense of a comparison in a nutshell. These jackets are just incredibly similar, alright, so the main features of this North North Face coat it has sleeve cuffs you can tighten.

It’s got a big male side, zipper, meaning you zip up on the right side. It’s a male side, zipper velcro, a couple of front pockets here, no internal pocket in it. It has a hood hook which I always use when I’m, skiing and snowboarding and you can tighten up and if you need to you, can pop the hood off because it has snaps and you can pop the hood off. So that’s the main features of this jacket I’m using for years and really liked it again. It’s a North Face coat, it’s not too thick, it’s not down or anything like that, but it does have a smooth lining on the inside and a little bit of insulation and a really nice shell, alright.

So that is this North Face coat in a nutshell. Alright, so here is the what do jacket and it has a female side zipper. So your zipper is over on the left side and obviously you know men and women who use the female side zipper. The zipper is just a teeny bit rough and sometimes hard to pull down, so it just kind of catches a little bit, but you know not a big deal. You can figure it out, but it’s just a little bit rough. It also has the velcro wrist cuffs, just like the North Face jacket.

It has a one pocket here instead of two, it has the same pockets here and it has the hood. It has the hood, which is also detachable and actually I, think the hood is just a little bit more capacious or roomy than that Northeast this one, this hood actually zips off as opposed to buttoning off and actually I, prefer that the buttoning off hood, often pops off inadvertently when you don’t want it up. As far as inside the coat you’ve got an interior pocket, which you don’t have it on the North Face jacket and the lining is different.

Let me just show you that it has a kind of fuzzy fleecy lining on the hood and the jacket, and it still has that kind of water-resistant shell. So overall I would say: I am pretty impressed with this clone. It does not have the North Face brand I know a lot of people are really into brand-name, clothing and other items, but it does not have the North Face brand, but it is a pretty awesome jacket for the price. If you want to compare this to North Face go right ahead. You’ll see the difference yourself.

This guy is a medium. This is a medium-size jacket and the North Face is a medium-size jacket and no kidding. This thing fits me exactly the same as the medium North Face jacket. One thing it doesn’t have, which I really kind of missed, is the ability to seal up the bottom. I’m gonna show you this this one thing I missed that doesn’t have is it does not have a bungee cord on the bottom, which allows you to really seal up the bottom, so you can get a good closure on the bottom. It has velcro and everything, but it will remain open on the bottom.

Our one nice thing about that north base coat I’ll show you here is that it has a bungee on the bottom which allows you you know if you’re, skiing or snowboarding, when I really to seal up the bottom. It doesn’t look good with the bottom, all sealed up on the North Face, but it will keep you a little bit warmer and drier overall I gotta tell you. This is a pretty nice coat for me. It’s going to be a backup and a duplicate of my North Face jacket and I like it. It is obviously not a North Face brand, but I think it has many, if not all or more, of the features of my North Face.

Got in this really nice ski jacket, the you here, the zipper is really really well. It’s got a nice velvet and lining on here. It’s got pockets here to store your stuff. You can easily take the hood off by just unzipping. It go ahead and unzip that there and then you can put it back on later on and then have the jacket without the hood just to wear around during the winter. You can strap down and tighten up your wrist.

The jacket has the pockets aren’t fur lined on here, but they’re waterproof, which is really nice for, while you’re skiing or working out in the snow. Really like this jacket, it’s a nice jacket.

All right so quick follow-up, video for this jacket, so I’ve been skiing for the last over there she’s a shredder and my cousin trav back there shredding as well hate. It’s been raining the whole time here and the jackets held up really nicely. So you can kind of look at that right there. It’s terrible weather here, but it’s held up grape about four hours in the rain, and some snow I want to point out sleeve, actually has a nice cutout for your thumb as well to catch any of that snow.

If you’re gonna use this to board or ski or something like that, so that’s really nice too! It’s a little bit small! So I have a little bit longer arms, probably than this is made for so it’s really tight right there, so I could see it ripping soon, but so far, so good five-hour skiing in the rain in this jacket and I’m still really dry in here. So it’s doing an awesome job guys if you’re interested in this jacket, the link to it will be in my video description below.

This is definitely just a cheap, ski and snowboard jacket, but so far so good for this five hours on the crystal mountain here in Washington State, it’s held up really nicely, so my gloves are already soaked through I mean we’ve been pounded by the snow here, but it’s still beautiful and really an awesome place to do some skiing. So you can see how dry the hoodie stayed while I was wearing that jacket for five the hoodies way cuz that was exposed.

Man, I am sweating. This thing is hot, perfect, perfect coat for winter. It’s got this nice liner in here that zips out good jacket for uh all times of the year. I’m warm! You know it’s a little scary to walk underneath these icicles to come in here. I just noticed my jacket is waterproof. That’s pretty cool! It’s like it’s raining on me. I love the way the water runs down. The ice looks amazing foreign um um.

Llegas outdoor checker for men in this cost, roughly 56 hours at Amazon, it comes in different colors I got the blue one. It’s a hundred percent polyester waterproof. So this is great for snowboarding skiing, just hiking out the words came with plenty of pockets. There’s one pocket here it goes. I can be closer to zipper. Another pocket on this side too. There’s this piece over here I’m not quite sure what this is for, because well, this is not a pocket and on the inside there’s a little pocket right here and on the side, show this puff this side a smaller pocket.

It’s still large enough to hold like Barry bangs pull a little velcro right here, show some of the highlights for it waterproof breathable, material and I’m sure the care instructions around here too. So this could be machine washed if I want to and time I’ll try. Lo the size, I got is a US size. Large, so just don’t mind this for exhale I’m, not that big did good over here. This part comes off through a zipper slide off and as when I put, the hood on I can also tighten it to block out all the wind.

I can also put use this to just close it up velcro. It’s also helped lock in this the wind and when zipping it up just part up here, more things to block to win to help protect a neck little wooden guard over here I was a buckle. Close, it was screaming. I can always expand this and just put around the gloves is elastic band over here very comfortable, wear a machine washable to cost just fifty six dollars so overall I do like this and I would recommend it. Hey Jim dreamy I wanted to show you my company called Jim, Mies I. Don’t really know you say that G and like Mike y se 69 98. Now it came with an extra 5% off and those of you that can do math realize that that’s a whopping three dollars and fifty cents, but hey covers attacks. It’s made like gym eyes. This is a 69 98. Gotta. Keep that in mind here. This is a very nice three-in-one jacket for the money. Why did I get this I actually have a three-in-one jacket, but I had a really nice three-in-one jacket and I have to go home to see my parents in Illinois and I live in Georgia and I.

Don’t want to take my nice jacket up there because I’ll end up doing things in my dad’s garage that will get all over it and I thought hey. You know, spend 70 bucks and if I mess it up well, you don’t I mess it up because I can wash it and it’ll. Be my work check it after that. But this is a very nice jacket for $70. First, it’s it’s a it’s a nice three-in-one. They say this is the Teflon material, I kind of have to take their word for it, but but it’s a nice material this this pocket right here, there’s my fingers, that’s how deep it is nice for, like chap, sticks, I, guess you could put some money in there.

If you didn’t want to have to dig for your pants pocket. There’s you know your pockets. You’d have to reach all the way up there, this this chest pocket now, I! Might it’s a little deeper I have an iPhone excess Mac excess? That is a 10 hands by the way, a 10s max with a defender, auto box case on this, and so it’s a fairly large phone. This really not gonna fit in here. It does fit rather nicely in these pockets down here on the side, which would be very, very functional. I have a regular hip case that I, wear and I would probably wear that and in case like that.

But but this is a this- is a really nice jacket it’s attractive. It’s you’re not gonna, see the workmanship on this and the types of details that you get I’ve got my my three-in-one jacket is look, let’s call it a South, but okay, it’s you both of you to pay attention to things like that. Hopefully, you’ll find the humor in this. If not sorry, this was funny here in my office, but um. This is a nice jacket. It comes with a nice snap here at the bottom and, of course, velcro closures here to kind of seal in the zipper area.

The zipper here these are, you know a nice three-in-one jacket if you buy like my south, but it was up many times more expensive than this, but for the for the amount of money that this is, this is a very high quality jacket. Now you have to kind of get used to the idea that this opens a this outside zipper opens a little differently now. Details comes with a zip off hood here on the back. The hood comes up. It’s a nicely sized hood. I, don’t have any problem with the size. I, don’t I. Don’t really do this much we’re in Georgia, but in Illinois I will wear the hood, but it’s a nice hood.

It comes with the chin straps on here, which are, you know, put you come across here. They have both you’re on them. You get the eye. You get the idea on that now. I did not secure the inside lining. It is a three in one. So when I pulled this thing off, sleeves are gonna come out of this, which is just which is just fine and I’m. Gonna have to hold them funcly’ until I can get all the way out of it. Now what I did do is I did zip the inside liner in you know to the outside shelf and- and this thing comes off very nicely like this, and it comes out like that inside liner.

This is a. This is a very nice like a fleece microfiber, whatever you want to call it, it’s not real. It’s polyester, who-knows-how-many polyesters had to die to make this happen, but if I can get my arm inside of this thing, it would be nice. This worked well when I was practicing with it. Oh that’s why he didn’t do it because I pulled the sleeve out wrong, but but you’ll see here that sleeve comes out of there, just fine and then I can now I can’t get my harm at live. Tv no script, I’ve gotta love it now.

This is very nice on the inside I. Don’t think that this this is made like it’s a real pocket. It’s actually lined as you can you see that yeah, it’s a line pocket and then, if I wanted to keep that inside of here, that would be more than KB and what’s nice is this is an actual real pocket? It’s it’s completely sewn all the way around and in it it’s it’s able to hold the hold little goodies like that. The zipper here works very nicely again. This is a this. Is a nice zipper on this and the pockets here are very deep: the pockets on this thing you know they’re again, my my 10s max with the OtterBox Defender case fits in it very nicely.

Now what you have here, these little loops. You see that yeah this little loop here this little loop here and I’ll show you the one on the back of it here. You can see it there that things sticking out on the back of my neck. That’s another loop! What that does! This is the neck loop, so you can sit there and attach it to the neck, and then on the inside of these sleeves, you roll this up. Now there it’s a little further up than what you would expect because see with see where these are. These aren’t like right down on the cuff, but then then this is the loop on the inside of that.

So the cuffs stay where they’re supposed to stay when you want to utilize it as I’ve completely as a completely heavy jacket. Alright, frankly, not today, we we I, think it’d have just gotten them low 30s today, here in Atlanta Georgia, which is like everybody’s thinks, they’re gonna die, but but but it, but it’s very, very, very well made only drawback and I’m, not letting it affect. You know how I evaluate this because I’m putting a curve on this thing because of the price. The only drawback is when you bring this thing up, it’s tight in the neck on this.

Now, when it’s in the three in one position, you know when I have it as a liner. This never gets zipped, because I’m zipping, the outside of the the shell of the jacket that that zipper- and this doesn’t do this I- don’t know if this is an issue. I do not believe that this is something that quality control could catch, but that there’s a good possibility of that, but considering the prices I’m paying for this and the purpose for which I’m get I’m using this, for this is perfectly acceptable to me- may not be accept acceptable to you.

I have a lot of 16 little over 16 inch neck. If you’ve got a really big neck, you just need to get the next size up. This is a large, so pull this off real quickly, and so that’s that’s that now you show you this material up a little closer here. The material is very soft. It’s the pleasant color this. This is the the navy, blue and I. Don’t know what they call this. We used to call this weight with blue back in the 80s. Who knows what it is now the shell. It is a liable showing what’s nice, it also has a liner in it.

So when you put the shell on, if you’re wearing a shirt like the shirt that I have on, it’s not going to be grabby and it allow your shirt to uh get to you know not bunch up on you or or if you’re wearing a sweater, for example. Well, that would be that now, of course, these type of jackets by their very nature, they’re gonna, be grabby. Whenever you put anything on this is not it’s got velcro tighteners here on the wrist. This is a this. Is that zipper that I was telling you about before, rather than go all the way through the jacket? So you can I scratch your arm around why they ever do that on some of the three and once they put it all the way through, but this is an actual pocket.

That’s the pocket! On the inside of here, they do give you a little pocket right here now again using my 10×10 s-max I’ll. Put that in there it doesn’t go all the way down, but because of where it is I believe would be pretty secure unless I was actually skiing or snowboarding, or things that I would never do not at my age, tennis, yes, snowboarding ski absolutely freaking, not, but this is a. This is a very nice jacket and, of course, this thing of this thing, zips up very nicely I should I demonstrated that earlier it’s got nice appointments on it.

You know the little yellow line nerds that they put on this thing impressed with now get mice gym, ice or jennice. You know there’s no way to know how to really really pronounce this thing. This comes in a blue weight, a it’s, not a deep black, but with a black finish here on the inside. They call this thing an uncle and Boer War. You know right here. They call it a collection. They talk about how this is a breathable this. This is not some of the breathable fabrics that we have here in the US, but it is a waterproof snow proof and sun proof, so it probably won’t break down on you in that, but it is wind proof as well and of course then you’ve got the you know if you’re, if you’re fluent in Chinese, then this is the content.

Okay, so but nice jacket, 70 bucks I mean I I’m very impressed with this, because if I mess this up, I don’t care, but it’s a nice jacket. I really would not want to wantedly mess it up, but but it’s it’s purpose-built I think we have to look at things like that. Doesn’t compare with it with a jacket just three times. This is expensive. No, but it’s not two times as expensive. It’s three times less expensive, and so that’s why we get jackets like this. That’s why I buy jackets like this and I bought jackets like this and I was incredibly pleased with my purchase and you will be too so I hope you get.
