Hi guys grad here in this video I’m going to talk about the architects adam lt this is the lighter weight version of. Their atom jackets they make a sv which has i think a bit more insulation the. Macan af which is really just a more generously sized version of this. Jacket also comes either in non-coated format or foot hooded format this is the. Non hooded on the material the main. Material the our is it feels like a kind. Of a windbreaker material and it is the wind resistant part of the jacket inside. Of this and the torso and in the arms is. Core loft which is a synthetic insulation layer it’s been — sort of. Replaced down as a sort of puffy high. Loft insulation on the side of the. Jacket all the way up really to the pits. It has polartec power stretch fleece with. A hard face technology so it’s a hard face fleece on the side so it has that rip stop nylon look to it with the grid. Pattern throughout you can see the. Fleece on the inside here it has two. Main pockets here in the front they have zipper poles here the main. Zippers has been noted in other reviews. Unzips very easily like a lot of people. Complain that as they wear it comes unzipped on them, and they don’t really care for that aspect of it under normal. Non heavy use which is aughra or put. This throughout and really have an unzip on me but i could easily see how that could happen if you’re moving around a lot it has another small zippers on the. Inside here you can see I’ve added some type of accessory cord I’m just giving something grab a hold of and it. Has that same sort of windbreaker material on the inside. And on this jacket the inside pocket is. Only on the left side there is not one on the right side behind the zipper is. More of the windbreaker technology it’s. It has a dwr coating so it’s water-resistant but not waterproof. It is more or less winter proof however. It’s a very pack able jacket which is why. You probably know this mine has a lot of wrinkles i pull it up and keep it in my. Car along with another adam lt for my. Wife just in case we get stuck somewhere. We needed you know we need insulation. This is not the leaf version but really. The only difference is that on the leaf version this isn’t the reflective printed on material here it’s the blacked-out on our character logo i just. Want to show the cut on this jacket it’s specifically cut to either go over. Another jacket say you have something on that isn’t water or in wind resistant. You could layer the adam lt over that. I’m going to put on the bravo jacket just because it has kind of close to body cut already kind of athletic cut. I guess so i will show that you can. Layer the adam lt over that if you need. Something that has need of you are coding for water resistance or you need. Sort of windbreaker layer so layers. Nicely over the bravo but it’s as well. Supposed to be cut close enough to the. Body that it can be the insulation layer so if you wanted to layer something over. The adam lt like a hard shell. Our carrick’s alpha for this demonstration you can easily layer a. Shell over the atom lt so on this. Configuration and august i am obviously. Going to get very hot very quickly but. It will sort of show that my complaint. With that alpha was well besides the. Gore-tex material was the length you can. See here even atom lt is longer than. Longer than the alpha is in the front or. More or less the same length in the back due to the capital t’s bias-cut so. Hey everyone gear review or three one two here today we’re gonna be reviewing the arc’teryx head um lt vest. First impressions love it awesome. It’s arc’teryx i have a number of their products as usual this one’s phenomenal. Today I’m going to kind of go over a quick breakdown of my impressions and. You know everything about the best itself and if you have any questions. Please don’t hesitate to reach out let’s. Start with some basics this is the. Carbon color men’s medium I’m 5 foot 10. I weigh 170 pounds as things that’s perfectly i wouldn’t recommend anything smaller or. Larger severe same size medium and. Adjust accordingly the vest has cored. Loft i kept the tag on so that you could. See that quick background i have the. Arc’teryx atom lt hoodie which i love i. Wear it all the time and i wanted this. On this vest because i felt it would be. Good for weather around 30 to 50 degrees. I live in chicago so the weather is all. Over the place so it’s nice to have something for that range although i could wear the hoodie. Admiralty hoodie if i wanted to but just. A different change of pace so anyways the quarter lot where it’s just really well no complaints keeps you. Warm breeze well a great product it. Really does alright so let’s do a little. Little closer breakdown as you can see. This kinda has like a rip stop nylon. Appearance to it. To the left of it this is standard with. The atoms it’s more of a mesh material. Okay one thing that did throw me off. Guard though was in the inside as you. Can see right here it’s kind of like an. Elastic band that is actually kind of. Cool because it keeps the vast more snug. Around your head so wind doesn’t kind. Only fly up and get into the jacket so. You’re well insulated with this again it. Does breathe well in these side panels. Really help with the breath ability i. Purchased mine from paragon sports and i. Was actually very impressed with their standard shipping i got it and i think three or four days so kudos to them the. Price point 149 which i think is. Standard all over the place i actually couldn’t purchase it on the arc’teryx website because they were sold out, but they tell you to give paragon a try. Inside again on this side not much. Although i do love this like red kind of wine color and then on the right we have. A pocket which is nice there is a pocket. Here and then there’s not a pocket on. This side. Other than that there’s not a lot. To describe i mean if you’re looking for a best if you’re looking for probably the best that you can buy for this. Now five years no we’re just a couple years old okay mark a little over two years okay cool you guys have really I’d. Say progress the line i think you guys are growing at a pretty good clip now we. Now have you in the store we brought in your new lightweight trail shoe that mt2. Eight and a half ounces in the men’s. Nine so real lightweight some good flex. What you guys are really doing design wise is still a good tight fit in the. Heel and the instep but doing much more. Of an anatomical slightly wider toe box really how the foots actually shape yeah i think that’s really one of the unique things about the mt two is that i. Like to have a roomy toe box your toes can spread and splay but a lot of times in a shoe like that you have a shoe that fits a little sloppy in the back the level of security to feel fast and. Nimble i think you still need to feel really connected in the back half and through the waist and the shoe so i like that sensation that puts you know tight security through here but lots of room up front so your toes. Better sense of control yeah i was blown. Away by how light this is he’s dog great trail tread can handle couple miles of road no problem but you. No really good grip underfoot but it. Was really to me like how light this loves specially the level of cushioning 23 millimeters in the heel 20 in the. Forefoot so you’re doing a little bit of moss that’s three millimeters millimeter you’re not completely stuck into a zero. Drop and you’re right building you know also about traditional shoes and the 12 millimeter right everything for us is really between that zero and five millimeters that’s where we have put everything so this kind of falls in the middle of that is a three millimeter cool and you guys have a full range of. Shoes I’m kind of at the other end of the spectrum you have something definitely more protective yeah so this is a this is a shoe so the one we were looking at was the m22 this is a shoe called the hydra venture it has some similar characteristics so. Again some kind of platform 23:20 but in. This case you can see inside here you can see the that it’s got a rock plate. Actually molded into the mid sole the. Rock plate itself sorry to slide out a. Frame yet is really cool the rock plate itself has a flex screw here molded tpu. Like material through here so you don’t have rocks or roots x-raying up through the sole we open it up in the mid foot so you have a little bit of torsional flex so it doesn’t force you to roll an ankle or twist doesn’t add a lot of weight. This shoe still comes in at about nine ounces one of the key characteristics in. This shoe this is a waterproof shoe we use a vent waterproof membrane here the. Membrane is actually laminated directly. To the mesh so unlike you know some. Waterproof shoes you’d build a full bootie yep and you cement that bootie to. The effort can make it a little hard well in this case the upper is actually quite supple and soft so it allows the foot to still move and work in a natural way well and it also makes the shoe lighter so again coming in at just barely over nine ounces an issue for. Shoe that has a rock plate waterproof technology with the same fit characteristics you described in the mt so this shoe comes in at a. A Hundred dollars suggested retail in one. Thirty on the water place yeah and that’s what i was also surprised with was the price point is so competitive a. A Hundred dollars — i think like in our store i think that’s going to be one of our least expensive shoes and but as well. Probably the best value churko probably expected live with a huge outdoors i hope so you know i think there are ways that you can make shoes and deliver a great value without always having to have you know some shoes. Require higher price points are because there’s so much there but i think that our responsibility is to make sure. We deliver a variety of price points and that you always have a shoe that’s an entry level shoe that helps people get into the sport and then as they progress you know then they can work their way up the ladder enjoy running thanks.

Hey guys what’s going on today I’m going. To be reviewing the topo athletic ultra. Ventures this shoe is pretty fantastic. If i had one way of describing this shoe. I would have to say that it is the love. Child of a an ultra and a hoca it does. Come in at ten point four ounces so it. Might be slightly on the heavier side even though ten point four ounces is. Pretty stinking light there is a five. Millimeter heel to toe drop so you’re starting off at thirty in the back twenty-five in the front and that’s where i would say it’s kind of emulate soar resembles a hookah but it does have. That traditional foot shaped or wider. Then normal toe box and tomiko toe box keeping that great toe and alignment. Letting that kind of be your anchor point for your foot and letting the other toes splay out in here this shoe i. Really can’t speak too much on anything. Bad about this shoe i haven’t had a bad. Experience and it this particular pair has 310 miles on it and then i have a. Brand new pair over here which I’d be. Hard-pressed at any point in time of my life to buy another pair of the exact. Some shoe and the exact same color so. Anyway that should tell you something this shoe has gotten me through a lot of. Long runs i kind of got the shoe to try. Out for a training cycle for double. Dalek ultras unfortunately i got really cold in the race and so anyway i made it. 100k out of 100 miles but it had nothing to. Do with the shoe it’s very money on the trails that day very cold very wet the shoe outperform. Itself it comes with a v boom as you can. See with bieber marketing they’re gonna tell you that it’s a v room again with a v berm outsole this is the xs trek not. The magna grip or maggot grip that comes. On the speed goats the hoko speed goats but be advised that the maggot grip is going to be coming out on the a new pair. Of toe bones anyway the waterproof toe pose that are gonna be coming out next year or 2019. Look for the hydro ventures anyway look. For those coming up these have a new. Improved upper there’s a couple different overlays let me show you on the cleaner pair a couple different overlays on here they’re actually more. Than one piece the toe bumper is separate from this overlay giving you a little bit more protection the upper is. Actually a new printed mesh or new type. Of mesh anyway so you’re getting a little bit tighter mesh up here in the front keeping out some of the debris and. Then a little more open mesh more tour. Of the metatarsals give me a little bit more airflow and breath ability maybe a. Little more drainage new feature also and a bunch of the new trousers it’s gonna be these gills alright they’re. Basically drainage ports so whenever you. Get water in your shoe every step from that point I’m gonna act kind of like you’re forcing the water. Our kind of pumping the water out of your shoe with your own steps i have. Noticed i have gotten these shoes very wet have noticed that they do drain. Really well and also the new upper as. Well as this has given the shoe a more. Comfortable temperature anyway some. People have complained about taupe was being very warm this shoe especially. With the new porthole insole I’m. Getting a little worth of light marketing in there with the new. Porthole insole has actually become a lot more. Comfortable temperature-wise i did get the shoe right when the weather was changing so it was still kind of warm and it’s felt fine through coming up. Here now in the 30s all right not too. Cold here in virginia anyway there is a. Gator attachment in the back so it’s kind of weird looking topo brandied. Gator attachment here got hook little. Places for the hooks and I’ll show you. With the gators on these so I’ve got. These hooks that kind of walk in there and then the gator like a normal gator. Pulls over and it attaches too wherever. You need in the front it’s a lot easier than this when you have one anyway so there you go. With the gator attachment and that is a. Topo branded gator attachment these would work with any other type of gators you would just have to do your traditional velcro and i actually did so. In velcro on these so i could use them on the magnifies are the magnet flies. Twos anyway alright. The tongue is fully gusseted I’ll show you on the other pair that son just. Fully gusseted meaning it is sewn in and. So that prevents a lot of the sliding around of the tongue and bunching and. Creating hot spots and i really haven’t noticed any hot spots in this shoe the. Upper is three pieces sorry i think already said that but anyway the eba. Upper or sole is three pieces you’ve got. Kind of little bit firmer sole here or. Aba here a little bit softer in the back and even though this would traditionally. Mean that this is a stability shoe or a guidance shoe this piece is still just. Maybe a hair firmer than up here and i. Have a neutral foot and this i haven’t felt like there’s any guidance or anything like that this shoe again is called the ultra venture meaning it’s out it’s going to. Be marketed towards someone who’s going. To be out there maybe more on an ultra run or ultra marathon and when they’re. Fatigued their foot kind of hits the. Ground a little bit differently so it’s kind of it might give you a little bit of guidance but not enough to where it’s gonna throw off your gait i have like i. Said 310 miles in this pair of shoe and so normal wear and tear i did really. Really try to destroy this pair I’ve got. A little wear back here I’ve got a. Little wear right here where there’s a. Couple like a couple holes for me but this is about the time when I’d be retiring a pair of shoes anyway and for a trail pair that i literally beat the heck out of it’s surpassed a lot of my. Expectations i don’t normally run in a five. Millimeter drop i don’t know why i just didn’t say this earlier but this she. Doesn’t really feel like a five millimeter drop it’s taken a lot of stress off my Achilles because it is a. Five millimeter but at the same time there’s enough cushioning in it to where it almost feels zero ish drop I’m not. Gonna say it does because i don’t want to give you the impression that it is a. Zero drop or it would crush down to being a zero drop like the heel would be that soft but it does kind of. Feel like it hooks on to your foot a little bit better than a lot of other shoes out there is enough cushion here in the back to give you a nice heel. Cup and kind of lock your heel down in there now i would give it you know a. Couple strides out there to let it adjust before you tighten it down anymore if you did feel a little heel slipping one other thing i really wanted. To point out there is no rock plate in here and there are a couple cutouts to give it a little bit more flexibility but if you do step on something that. Sharp there’s enough cushion in here that’s gonna give you that protection and you might feel it but it’s not gonna hurt you’re too much to the point where you get like a stone bruise i have stepped on very sharp things and how it. Had any issues and then one thing that i really enjoyed about this shoe was with this aggressive outsole i stepped on a. Couple routes this way and had i not had. This type of little slightly you know. More aggressive outsole that they’ve been putting on the new trail line for. Toboe anyway i might have slipped off. That but that route but i actually kind of caught it and so i was able to prevent some foot rolling because of that it did take me a little bit of time to get used to if you’re not traditionally used to running in a more. Aggressive outsole because there’s just slightly more clearance underfoot so. You’re getting the 25 and 30 but then. You have an additional maybe 5 millimeters here and i have run on this. On-road a few times i haven’t felt the grip so i feel like. That there’s enough cushion in there to that you do run over pebbles or whatnot you’re really not gonna feel those so that’s that should be a good sign anyway and try not to be too long-winded on this but this is a great shoe i highly suggest it guys got any questions pop them down in their bottom you want. A hikers and runners i wanted to share. My experience with my topo terra venture. Trail runners i guess they are I’m not really a trail runner I’m more of a hiker but i had a problem with finding. Shoes that had a wide enough toe box for. My wide foot and i tried on all the. Major brands at rei and this is the one. That i found that fit me the best for a wide foot i was a former brookes. Cascadia wearer but the last i don’t. No 4 or 5 models of brookes I’ve been. Unable to wear because the toe box is too narrow so these are a little cut. Shoe they allow your ankle to flex naturally they’re lightweight they weigh. About 10 ounces they’re ventilated they. Have a nice full mesh upper with some. Reinforcing that’s printed on there versus laminated so not a lot to come. Apart here’s a little demonstration of. The grip of these terra ventures. They have a minimal heel to toe drop i. Believe it’s three millimeters so it feels it’s got a natural feel to it. They’ve been around for about only a. Year or two toni post was the founder of. These he also worked with vibram so he. Knows a lot about the soul has an aggressive lug to it lug pattern they. Have a foot plate yet they’re still soft. Enough where you can feel the trail and you get a good round feel there are. Pretty good value these are i got them on sale at rei I’ve got used my 20% off. But i think they’re 100 or a hundred ten bucks full price so pretty good value comparable to the ultra lone peak so. They really do have good traction they’re lightweight I’ve got them paired. With my dirty girl gaiters. You. I’ve had him up the mountain behind me which is golden gate mountain here in the desert in tucson that’s about a 1700. Foot elevation getting to thinking they. Worked great on that and it’s there was some good scrambling and actually some wall climbing up there that we had to do so that was fun they worked great for that they work great for trail like i said they’re a good shoe if you’ve got a wide foot give em a try.

The new balance fresh fall hero v4. So this is a trail shoe some of the key features of this are first off it has. The vibram mega grip sole which you can. See there the locks aren’t the deepest. So be very interesting to see how that cooks with wet mud but also I’ll be. Taking out on the variety of terrain dry and wet mud rocks roots etc to give it a. Thorough test in addition to that it has. The fresh foam mid sole which i think now is a feature of most if not all of new balance running shoes it also has a toe protector at the front in case you kick. Any rocks or roots fast out running and one of the other key features of this shoe is this inbuilt debris protection. To stop bits of roots mud small storms. Except for getting in your shoes so I’m keen to see how that feels when out on the trails and how effective it is I’m. Also interest to see if there’s any rubbing from that when i do my longer runs it’s an 8 mil drop heel to toe and. That’s pretty standard across a lot of. Trail shoes this is a uk 9 and a half. And when i weigh that it weighs 340. Grams now to put that into perspective that’s quite a lot more than a lot of the other trail shoes out in the market. And specially those were designed as i say ultra running in particular so if. You look at the salomon s lab ultra. Choose the version 1 and all have got a new version out but for the same size of shoe there are around 300 310 grams so. This is around 10% heavier than a. Competitive product they’re also quite a. Wide shoe if you look at the size of the soul for example and compare that to say. The salomon of the same size you can see it is significantly bigger in terms of. The width so I’m interested to see how that’s going to feel when actually out on technical terrain and you’re looking for a precise foot placement and how that impacted just given the size of the actual footprint off these the width of. Then in but kela the upper looks pretty robust it’s. A mixture of two different materials there as you can see and it’s also quiet. Flexible around the sides so that will be useful when out doing longer runs and you may be expanding for example once. You get into the ultra distance so i think the next thing to do is to go out. And test these thoroughly so I’m gonna get them on my feet and go for a ride. I’ve had the shoes for a couple of weeks now and i’ve run 114 kilometers inland. Which is about 70 miles the longest run. Was 46 kilometers which is probably. About 28 miles i think so over a. Marathon in a single run enemies and. That was only my fourth run in the shoes which just shows how we’ve adapted and how. Much confidence i have in them no blisters or anything like that so i really have got on extremely well with them so here are my thoughts on the. New balance fresh form hero for shoes. First off i will start with the grip and. The sole I’ve tested them in a variety. Of conditions wet dry i even got the. Opportunity to put them in some smoke which was quite interesting and a little in the really slippery stuff the wet mud and also in the snow they don’t quite have deep enough lugs to be truly. Effective in all other conditions they’re absolutely fantastic dry rock wet rock roots mud sort of typical. Trails absolutely brilliant grip real. Confidence in them in particular on the rock i always had no concerns whatsoever. With them you can actually feel the rubber grip pink which is a real confidence boost when you’re trying to go fast on them in terms of the actual cushioning as well they felt really comfortable i didn’t have any incidents. With sharp rocks sort of feeling them underneath so the ground feel you can feel the individual rocks and have a good contact with them but thick actual. Support and cushioning for the souls this fantastic so you can run. Downs or steep technical trails with confidence that you’re not going to feel sharp rocks through the ground the tool. Protector unfortunately does have the opportunity to use that and it’s into a. Pretty well on the 46 bomb to run towards end i was getting a bit tired so i didn’t kick a couple of rocks and it. Does work well but maybe it could be. Slightly stiff overall in comment so i did feel one of them when i was going quite fast which was slightly uncomfortable but overall seems to work. As you would hope it would on the steep. Ascent i did find on my first run in. Then that my feet were slipping in the shoes and going forward a bit sore action my toes were hitting the inside off the shoes but that was easily. Rectified by tightening the laces a little bit more and since then have been absolutely fine as i mentioned at the. Start of the video they are quite a wide shoe a thousand reasons what that attracted them to me so you do have a little bit of movement inside the shoe. But overall nothing of any concern one. Think i was also interested to see how. It worked was the inbuilt data and whether it be any robbing from that absolute you love it I’ve taken it down. Some really rocky rough terrain where you’re likely get little storms and things lacking your shoes i had no incidents of that in the snow as well it. Was absolutely brilliant i don’t have any snow coming in my shoes i think having really deep snow and I’ve been sinking consistently then it may have obviously gotten but in the stuff i was running through it was a real boost having this inbuilt gator so I’m an. Absolute convert to that i think it’s fantastic i have done races for example in the past where I’ve had to stop and remove storms from my shoes over all. That real confidence in the shoe and for the sort of ultra marathons that I’ll be doing that this will be absolutely perfect for those have you tried your. Perfil que la zona exterior para también. Dar un poco de soporte con un talón aquí. Lo tenéis con bastante estructura para dar ese soporte y después un upper que sí que es. Verdad que no da el mismo soporte quizás. Que en versiones anteriores por lo tanto seguramente una zapatilla que si sois más pesados podremos utilizar por zonas menos técnicas vale y un nuevo upper el. Hypo skin aquí lo tenéis dejando aparte todos los. Materiales textiles y centrándonos en un. Upper de construcción nueva de construcción más plástica con la característica por ejemplo que cuando es un punto elástico vale y que cuando. Estamos corriendo por ejemplo el mismo se va abriendo y cerrando los agujeros. Para poder transpirar de mayor medida ya. Que el material como digo es más plástico una de las cosas que nos ha. Llamado la atención es que este collar in aquí lo tenéis en el new balance que ha eliminado por completo lo que es la lengüeta vale y han utilizado este. Collarín que se adapta perfectamente a lo que sería el tobillo fijaos un material parecido al neopreno pero bueno no es neopreno pero se parece. Elástico y también deciros que la primera vez cuesta de poner vale pero. Esto que cuando lleváis tres o cuatro veces ya se acabó con tirador por ejemplo aquí detrás vale podéis ponerla. Zona interior de estos rombos salen hacia afuera toda esta zona anterior los rombos salen hacia afuera por lo tanto hay más material y cuando nosotros corremos por montaña sobre todo con más distancia que empezamos a pensar mal o la pronación que se produce naturalmente. En montaña la zapatilla tiende a ir hacia adentro y es aquí donde el mayor material la mayor. Concentración de material nos da el soporte necesario para que no hacemos mucho la zapatilla zona exterior rombo. Hacia adentro porque que no es una zona que necesitemos tanto.
