Stunningly decorated with vibrant graphics popping with crisp colors and intricate lines, the Terry Bicycles Women’s Bella Sleeveless Jersey injects lively personality into your summertime rides. The sleeveless silhouette prevents overheating when you’re cranking away under sweltering sunshine and oppressive heat. Terry Bicycle’s signature fabric wicks moisture off your body, allowing it to evaporate rapidly for a noticeably cool, dry feel. Added stretch allows this athletic-fitting garment to conform to your body, all without restricting critical movements. Three rear pockets handily carry all your nutritional and hydration needs, with integrated audio cable routing for seamlessly listening to your music.
The Pearl Izumi Women’s Versa Short Sleeve Henley is perfect for those rides when you need a versatile top that can do double duty and function equally well off the bike. Available in green spruce and smoked pearl, this jersey is quickly becoming a favorite here at Competitive Cyclist because of its great styling and functional approach.
Pearl Izumi’s transfer fabric provides moisture management and is quite comfortable in a variety of temperatures. Adding in a base layer or an outer shell increases the range where this top can excel. Reflective elements on the sleeves get you noticed in low light and a three snap front opening is easily accessed for more ventilation.
Your hands are easy to neglect when you’re heading out on a ride, but once you try a great pair of gloves, you never forget the benefits of added grip and protection on the trails. Giro’s Xena Gloves for women provide breathable comfort and full-finger coverage for your hands.
The palms of the gloves are made with soft, durable AX Suede synthetic leather. It’s sewn into a three-piece design to fit the natural curve of your hand and prevent bunching when you grip the bars. AX Suede retains the same breathable properties you find in most microfibers to help keep your hands dry. Your hands are one of three contact points your body has with the bike and hold up a significant amount of body weight, so Giro uses Poron XRD padding throughout high-pressure areas on the palms to prevent numbness during long days on the trails.
Though these are full-fingered gloves, Giro didn’t overlook the necessity of breathability while riding in warm weather. The Xena Gloves have a moisture-wicking mesh upper that stretches with you as you vary your hand position on the bars. The top of the thumbs are finished with a soft, absorbent microfiber so you can wipe perspiration from your face and glasses without scratching them.
After even the best days on the trail, it’s a relief to get back to the car and peel off that dusty kit to lounge away a mid-summer evening in your Zoic Stinger Tank Top. Its soft cotton blend is as comfortable as your favorite decades-old tee, while a racer back profile shows off the tone you’ve honed from months of wrangling your rig through dicey terrain like a champ.
Leaving the warmth of a fireplace on a winter day to brave the cold on an endurance-building ride is never easy. If you’re looking for lightweight thermal protection, Craft’s Women’s Long-Sleeve Active Extreme 2.0 CN Baselayer layers expertly under a thermal jersey or jacket. Its form-fitting cut and channel knit polyester construction allows it to wick moisture rapidly away from your skin while holding a thin layer of warm air for insulation.
Craft uses flatlock seaming to eliminate the likelihood of chafing, and it adds panels of lighter, more breathable material to the sides of the baselayer to further improve its ability to regulate your body temperature. The Active Extreme 2.0 is just as good at insulating during other high-intensity winter workouts, so you can wear it for laps on the Nordic trails or a winter road run on the days you aren’t riding.
Hot summer riding can be rough, but Pearl Izumi’s Symphony Women’s Tank Top helps keep things manageable on the tarmac. Its Elite Transfer fabric pulls moisture quickly away from your skin to keep you cool and dry, and Pearl’s In-R-Cool treatment reflects the sun’s rays to keep the surface of the fabric significantly cooler than it would otherwise be. The regular fit of the Symphony helps speed up moisture transfer to boost cooling, while you’ve still got room to move, and raw-edge ham on the tank stays comfortable while you ride. A built in shelf bra offers a little bit of support on the bike, and two back pockets hold your energy gels, keys, and phone to get you through your scorching summer ride
If your trails can tolerate riding with some moisture on the ground, grab this feature-loaded lightweight, yet durable waterproof-breathable hardshell and hit the trails in complete comfort. The Women’s IMBA Jacket from Showers Pass is a women’s specific cut and designed for mountain biking. The company is giving 5% of net proceeds of this jacket to support the International Mountain Bicycling Association. Their mission is to create, enhance, and protect great places to ride mountain bikes for the whole family.
The Women’s IMBA Jacket offers a unique combination of lightweight 2.5-layer Artex hardshell that is a waterproof, yet breathable performance fabric keeping you dry but still offers excellent ventilation. The seams are fully taped preventing any water intrusion. Showers Pass didn’t forget any details and the shoulders are reinforced protecting the fabric from hydration pack straps. A soft, moisture-wicking lining at the collar adds some cozy luxury to the jacket and keeps spirits high even if you are in for an all-day rain fest. Front hand warmer pockets give you a place to stash your mitts if you have to seek coverage from the elements. An inside chest pocket with audio port is available for playing your rainy-day playlist or if you are checking the weather report. The extra-long core zips easily and effectively exhaust heat build-up and pull tabs on all the zips help with grip in wet environments. 360 degrees of 3M Scotchlite reflective material trim and a light loop at the collar help with maximum visibility once you are off the trails and back in civilization. We really enjoyed the adjustable and removable hood that fits over a helmet if it is really coming down but can be stowed in an inside pocket when not needed. Keeping the waist from riding up and any trail spray from entering the jacket is the double toggle hem.
When the mornings are cool and the afternoons are warm, pull on the Louis Garneau Women’s Merino 30 Socks before heading out to train for that marathon or century. Crafted from a blend of merino and Drirelease wools, these lightweight performance socks regulate temperature and offer enhanced moisture management to keep your feet comfortable in shifting conditions. Mesh panels along the top of the feett boost breathability to prevent overheating, while the reinforced heel and toes increase longevity for use season after season.
Like your favorite down puffy, the Elemento Lite Jacket provides protection from the cold at an impressively low weight. It’s inspired by technology from high-end mountaineering jackets where the perfect balance of warmth, breathability, and low weight is critical. The intended use is high-intensity cycling in cold temperatures, where warmth is important but breathability is absolutely vital. It’s not a race cut jacket like the Alpha series. Instead, the Elemento Lite fits slightly looser due to the fabrics it’s made of. It’s certainly more breathable though, with comparable levels of insulation.
The Elemento’s construction resembles a mountaineering jacket, being composed of a layer of insulation sandwiched between two woven nylon layers, with the outer layer using a water-resistant treatment to shed light rain or snow. Unlike most alpine jackets, this one isn’t totally windproof. Instead, Castelli engineered a small degree of permeability. The little bit of air that gets into the jacket picks up moisture and evaporates it more efficiently than any membrane fabric, keeping you dry when tough intervals or hard climbs cause unavoidable perspiration. The insulation layer is polypropylene, which is a synthetic down material that allows full breathability without any water absorption, and is also incredibly light.
These fabrics have limited stretch, which is why Castelli opted for a semi-fitted cut rather than a full on race fit. In order to not sacrifice mobility, there are plissé stretch panels on the sides, elbows, and wrists that preserve freedom of movement on the bike. Castelli finishes the jacket with an inner waist closure that lets you seal out drafts, or you can open it up for extra ventilation.
The wind is whipping, and showers are on the horizon, but you’re determined to get out despite the elements, so don Craft’s Ideal Wind Tights and take to the tarmac. They feature a wind-and-waterproof front panel that cuts through harsh weather, and a soft brushed lining for trapping heat and wicking away perspiration. The tights are cut with ergonomic panels designed to comfortably wrap your muscles, while allowing total freedom of movement. To extend comfort beyond your legs, Craft employs its C3 Women’s specific chamois in the tights, offering your sit bones some much needed relief with multi-density foam that cushions you, and is tapered to offer more support where you need it, and less where you need the relief. The tights are finished off with a side zipper at the bottom of the leg for easy adjustments to your socks, and 360-degree reflective accents for a boost in low-light visibility on drizzly days.
Specifically designed for desert rides and technical, warm-weather adventures, the Endura SingleTrack Lite Short II is one of the lightest weight, most breathable baggies on the market. These shorts feature a lightweight material that provides plenty of airflow while maintaining the durability to withstand abrasive trails. 4-way stretch construction ensures you can shift your weight as-needed on your pedals while zippered vents let you adjust your airflow throughout the ride. The SingleTrack Lite is compatible with Clickfast liners and fits comfortably with your favorite chamois, adjusting via hook-and-loop tabs at the waist for a precise fit.
The Chrono Expert Reflective Wind Vest from Giro is an easily-packable barrier against wind and chill. This lightweight vest quickly packs down into the included pack sack for easy storage in your jersey pocket or saddle bag, just in case some unexpected weather tries to shut down your ride prematurely. Constructed of a 2-way stretch ripstop nylon, the fabric is completely windproof, but also has a DWR treatment to repel light precipitation and tire spray from wet roads, along with UPF 50+ protection that shields you from the sun’s harsh rays on those chilly yet sunny days. For intense aerobic efforts, Giro includes a perforated back panel to regulate temperature and moisture so you don’t get overheated or clammy underneath the garment. The whole vest is reflective, enhancing your visibility to other road users during low-light conditions with a stunning pattern that brightens up when exposed to headlights.
Whether you’re heading to a weekend race out of state, and wanting to stand out in the peloton, or going for a casual coffee ride with your crew, the Castelli Alba Jersey for Women is sure to turn heads with its bright and bold patterns and clean classic lines. With sublimated graphics that won’t fade over time, and fabrics that wick away your sweat as soon as it starts to bead, this jersey is ready to brighten up any ride.
The Alba jersey is perfect for summer days with soaring temperatures, when you need your jersey to work with you while you fight to keep cool. It uses Invita Light stretch fabric that pulls away sweat while you ride, and features mesh panels along the back of the neck and sides, taking breathability to the next level, and inviting cool air from outside to move in, helping you stay comfortable while you push on. A half-zipper on the front makes for quick heat dropping when you need a little extra, and to make sure that not even your hem is overheating Castelli designed it with perforated elastic that locks things into place without trapping additional heat. You’ll be loaded up with all of the pocket space you need in the Alba, with three deep pockets in the back for stashing spare tubes, nutrition, and your gadgets.
After having to deal with sub-par jerseys that get bogged down with sweat easily, ride up your backside, or barely last a single season, you definitely deserve a hug. But not just any hug—you deserve the Nalini Women’s Short-Sleeve Hug Jersey.
Made from a highly breathable and extremely lightweight Hot Moa fabric, the Hug wraps you in soft, stretchy comfort that keeps you cool and dry in both very hot and more mild weather. Then, the Hot Moa’s Moa Mantodry treatment enhances the jersey’s overall moisture-wicking performance for a resulting sensation that is incredibly refreshing on the skin. Meanwhile, reflective details kick up your level of visibility for added safety on darker rides, and the silicone gripper at the hem locks down a fit that won’t ride up your back on hard rides.
We wanted to do something extra special on this go-round of our custom clothing, so we reached out to Castelli to help bring us bright color blocking and clean lines and somehow blend a classic, yet modern aesthetic for your wardrobe with the Women’s Competitive Cyclist Race Jersey. This jersey not only looks great, it has breathable fabrics that help transfer moisture so you stay comfortably cool on the weekday club ride or more ambitious weekend journeys.
The smooth and soft feel of Prosecco GT is used as the main fabric and its utilized there to keep you dry. It also has excellent stretch characteristics helping to support your muscles and create a smooth silhouette. For the sides, Prosecco Air Stretch mesh panels help bolster breathability so you stay cooler on the hottest summer days. Three rear pockets allow for hauling ride essentials and below that, silicone gripper tabs hold the hem in place over the course of the ride. Finally, a drop-tail gives you a bit more coverage in the drops and gives you some additional protection from road spray during an unexpected shower.
