Calling the Gregory Jade 28 Backpack a daypack is an understatement; this all-season trekker handles summer ridge runs and winter ice climbs with ease. Its Crossflo DTS suspension system features a wired X-frame that stretches trampoline-like mesh tight, and there’s an HDPE framesheet with an anti-barreling stay for sturdy support. Cushy, ventilated EVA covers the shoulder straps and waistbelt for extra comfort.
The Jade is a traditional top-loader, upgraded with a larger zippered opening for better access to gear. There’s an internal sleeve and tube port for hydration reservoirs, as well as an external pocket with a removable rain cover inside. Made of alloy steel and fiberglass and. It is designed to move and flex with you as you hike there is a horizontal stay. To provide additional stability under the weight of a heavy load there’s also a frame sheet for additional lightweight rigidity the shoulder straps adjust up and down the frame and the pack comes in. Two torso sizes so you can find the perfect fit the foam and the shoulder. Straps and the hip belt is supportive and the major contact points on your. Lumbar area hip bones and the top of. Your shoulders are cushioned for comfort. Gregory’s 3d comfort cradle system hugs. Around your lower back to give even distribution of weight it lessens the. Chance of hot spots and makes a big difference when you’re carrying the pack all day long there are many accesses. Points into the pack body this is super helpful when you need to grab a piece of gear quickly and it makes packing and unpacking simpler the double zipper. Pulls let you position an opening wherever you want so virtually nothing in your pack is out of reach if you put. Both zipper sliders at the top you can open this whole panel with one motion. Ready for a weekend of backpacking or extended trips if you’re packing light. The Gregory jade 53 litre women’s pack. Is perfectly balanced between light. Weight features and all of those other. Features that you’re looking for organization and a pack that’s going to. Carry a heavy load comfortably now. Unlike extended trip packs where they’ve. Got heavy features this has really. Stripped-down features lightweight materials those materials are also very durable and strong and the suspension. System here really gives you the ability. To carry the load so I’m going to turn the pack around and talk about the suspension system I’ve got Gregory’s cross flow dts suspension system and. Again it’s pretty lightweight it gives. You a lot of ventilation with this. Tension back panel you can see all of that mesh there and i can put my hand. Behind it so you know that you’ve got all the ventilation that you need behind the scenes there you can see a cross pattern for the frame that is a. Lightweight spring frame and what i like. About that is it gives the rigidity that you need in the pack to give stability and to transfer the weight of the load to your hips but it will move with you. Because it’s the cross pattern it will flex a little bit as you move so this pack doesn’t feel boxy it feels like as you move going up and down hill it’s. Going to move with you and then you as well. Have behind the scenes a hdpe frame sheet that gives rigidity to but it’s. Nice and lightweight now you have a va. Foam where you need it there on the lumbar pad it’s a really comfortable lumbar pad and then behind the shoulder. Straps you have die cut foam that foam. Keeps you comfortable and unlike lightweight or ultra light. Weight backpacks this foam gives you plenty of cushioning so really. Comfortable cushioning on the shoulders and a lot of cushioning on the hip belt and the hip belt does have a little bit of rigidity to it too so it definitely carries the load well now. Obviously you’ve got your load lifter straps up here that give you some adjust ability this comes in three different sizes so you can’t actually adjust the harness up and down but you. Can use the those load lifters to dial in the fit and just choose the. Particular size that’s right for your. Torso in addition to the adjust ability. There you do have an adjustable sternum straps you can move that up and down. While I’m on the back of the pack you do have a hydration sleeve inside the pack. You can route the hydration hose out through the middle here and you even. Have a little catch here for the hose on. This side now the hydration system itself isn’t included, but they do give. You this smaller pack this can be hung. Inside of the backpack as the sleeve for. Your hydration system but you can as well. Take it out and use it as a summit pack you’ve got really lightweight and stretchy straps here so those are comfortable the material here is nice. And lightweight so it doesn’t add a lot of weight to the actual pack but you can use this as a day pack if you’re just. Summoning a peak you can use this to. Take some stuff with you or if you’re traveling and you’re just going out for the day that you can throw some essentials in this pack there’s daisy chain attachments on the front a small zippered pocket there on. That pack so it’s a really nice feature. That again doesn’t add a lot of weight to the pack that adds a lot of value the. Pockets and organization are streamlined. And simple but it gives you all the. Organization you need on the front of the hip belt you have nice big pockets i. Can see these accommodating any size smartphone you can see this mesh pocket. Here stretches out really big you could put a small camera in there or something like that so really good size pockets. There and then on the lid you have the access into the. Back I’ve got a first aid kit in their so items you want to get your hands on quickly or lightweight items can be. Stored up there on the side of the pack. You have two very stretchy meshes pockets big enough to accommodate any size water. Bottle I’ve got a 32 ounce water bottle. In there and it fits well you’ve even got a compression strap on the front so you can compress that down and if you’re. Just going on an overnight or a short trip you’ve got compression straps all over this pack to make the load a little bit smaller you have a full-size lid here. And you can store lots of gear in there so then that gives you access into the. Body of the pack there’s even a small hidden pocket back here and that’s a. Great feature for travel you’ve got really easy access into the top of the pack with a nice big opening that’s. Really easy to use and i found that this. Pull handle is really nice as well so there’re little attentions to detail make. A big difference it’s all the access you need into that big pocket then you do. Have access in a couple more areas so. Something i really appreciate about this pack you have a nice big u-shaped zipper. Here where you can access all the gear. That you need that’s in the middle of your pack it’s tucked away back here so. It doesn’t add a lot of weight to the pack but as you can see i can open that. Up nice and wide almost like a piece of luggage and get to all the gear that’s in the middle of the pack so i can grab for whatever i need if you’re traveling. With this pack taking it overseas you can use it like that so really nice almost hidden pocket there. And then down on the bottom you have access into a sleeping bag compartment down there these zipper poles are so. Easy to use, and they make it nice and easy to get to the bottom now there is a. Divider in between the bottom and the. Middle of the pack but you can tuck that away if you need full access into the whole pack now also behind the scenes there is a. Hidden rain cover the rain cover is. Custom fit for the pack and it’s in its own designated pocket right here so rain cover matches the pack and it. Adds a lot of value so you don’t have to purchase a separate rain cover in the. Front a nice stretchy dump pocket too and then as you can see all over the. Front of this pack you’ve got two loops you’ve got straps here that you can. Attach a sleeping pad this is actually removable and you’ve got trekking pole bungees up here so there’s plenty of. Features here you can use this pack in a lot of different ways but all of those. Features don’t add a lot of weight to the pack, but they add a lot of organization and with all the features that you get here it’s a really great value it would work in a lot of. Different situations from a quick overnight to a weekend to traveling overseas it’s the Gregory jade 53 women’s. Backpack. You.
With The North Face Aleia 32 Backpack, there are more than seven internal and external pockets to give you unlimited organizational options. You receive two tool keepers and a hydration sleeve to make multi-day hikes simpler with the option to carry extra gear and more water. And to add comfort to versatility, this pack also has a women-specific trampoline-style suspended mesh back panel for extra breathability and support, as well as a vented-foam package to cushion your back.
Organization and comfort are huge components for hiking, but you also need to be able to move lightly and cruise through the trails. Luckily, the Aleia 32 Backpack is designed with beaver tail construction for integrated compression and storage, which lets you pack for multi-day hikes without adding unnecessary weight. This means that you store all your essentials easily and stride on comfortably.
As most women know, backpacks are often the unfortunate victim of the pink-and-shrink laser beam. However, designers over at Osprey heard the call for a functional, women-specific touring backpack, and answered with the Kresta 30 Backpack. And in typical Osprey fashion, the Kresta has just the right amount of features necessary for a day of touring in the alpine without skimping on the overall fit or functionality.
More specifically, this pack is fashioned with a women-specific Light Wire suspension system that when combined with the padded help belt and stabilization straps, provide a comfortable and pressure-free haul. The thermoformed, contoured back panel sheds snow easily, and ultimately reduces the build-up of frozen precipitation on your backside. Not to mention, a deployable helmet net makes carrying your helmet a breeze, and the tuck-away ice tool loop ensures you’re able to haul technical tools without worrying about losing them en route.
In keeping with its versatile construction, the Kresta boasts a horizontal snowboarding carrying feature, or if you’re of the dual-planked nature, it also touts an A-frame or diagonal ski carrying design. Though, perhaps most importantly, the Kresta has a J-shaped avalanche gear compartment, complete with dry pocket, so you’re not only able to access your safety gear in a flash, but you’re also able to separate your sensitive avy gear from wet skins or damp clothing. A back panel entry system enables you quick access to snacks or extra layers, and all of the Kresta’s zipper pulls, as well as buckles, are glove and mitten friendly.
Truly a multi-talented pack, the Mammut Women’s Lithia Speed 15 Backpack is the smallest pack in the Lithium family, and is perfect for everything from trail running and hiking to multi-pitch climbing. As tough as it is lightweight, the 70D nylon 3line ripstop fabric provides a resilient design that withstands abrasive surfaces, while also keeping the bulk of your pack to a minimum. Then, the well-ventilated and cushioned Contact Vent back system uses 3D EVA foam to help carry the load with breathable comfort, just as the shoulder padding does as well.
Its shorter back length and shoulder straps are specifically designed for the female figure, but are easily adjustable to meet your specifications. With plenty of room for your ropes, shoes, layers, gloves, and lunch, the main compartments easily stores all of your daily gear, while its hydration-compatible design prevents you from going thirsty on the trail. And when the adventure turns from a trail into a light boulder scramble, attach your trekking pole to the carrier for freed up hands.

The second you put on the Osprey Women’s Sirrus 24 Backpack and feel its mesh AirSpeed back panel successfully transfer the load to your legs, you get overwhelmingly excited, if not giddy for the big hike ahead. The AirSpeed suspension system combines the rigidity of aluminum stays with a tensioned mesh back panel for effective load transfer and cross ventilation, while the Women-specific Spacer Mesh hip-belt and shoulder straps ensure your load rests where it should for max efficiency and pain-free hiking.
Its ErgoPull waistbelt closure makes cinching down the belt easy, and hipbelt pockets hold your camera, shades, or quick snacks so you keep spirits high. And if rain starts to fall on your adventure, deploy the integrated rain cover to keep your gear dry as a bone. A Stow-on-the-Go feature on the left side lets you holster your trekking poles or ice axe for hands-free walking, and the compression straps let you adjust the pack’s volume to fit different load sizes.
Your last adventure race went something like this: you navigated on foot through a labyrinth of trees until you reached a river, hopped in your canoe and paddled over to where your mountain bike was waiting, jumped on your bike and pedaled over a mountain pass. Or maybe this just described one of your typical weekend days. Whatever the case, the Osprey Women’s Tempest 20 Backpack is a perfect lightweight companion for your adventurous day exploits. This panel-loading backpack holds up to twenty pounds of gear and water, and keeps things organized in convenient pockets. It features a women-specific fit and breathable, cushioned comfort to keep you from conjuring visions of chucking the bag downriver before you reach the end of your journey.
The hip-belt’s ErgoPull adjustment makes it easy to tighten or loosen on the fly, and the shoulder straps, harness position, and sternum strap can also be adjusted for a perfect fit tailored to your anatomy and load. The ventilating ridged foam back panel keeps you fresh while padding your back through long day hikes or multi-sport excursions. A pull-out LidLock helmet attachment fits through the vents on your bike helmet to secure it to the front of the pack, loop and bungee attachments hold tools and trekking poles, and multiple smaller pockets hold items you’d like to quickly access.

now the go guys I’m here to give a. Review on the osprey tempest for tea bag. This is the extra small which makes it. Actually a 38 litre rather than a 40. Litre yeah i just recently got this I’m. Planning on going on some overseas. Travel the reason i got the extra small. Was that i could fit into it and then also that it fit more of the dimensions. Of being able to become a carry-on. Rather than something that i would have to check i wanted something that had enough room for 10 sleeping pads all my. Close some electronics and yeah. Basically just all my needs as far as. Being overseas and traveling for an extended period of time i really liked look the look of this bag. Online i checked it out on their website. Which is probably where i would recommend doing any specs checking of. Any backpacks would be to go to the. Brands website because i have found that. On amazon or any outfitters websites. They just don’t have the correct specifications i got this through rei. It’s about i think 160 dollars and the. Things that i really do like about it or. What drew me to the bag were i really. Like the kangaroo pouch in the front this mesh pouch I’ve already done some. Extended backpacking and this is kind of like a must for me because I’m not the. Most organized person in the world and when have like maybe a jacket or a raincoat that i don’t want to open up my entire. Pack to put back in here and make it. Super organized i just like to shove it into here and it’s nice to say you have. Snacks or something that you want to just get to fast this is a must for me another thing that kind of drew me to. The pack was this is what they call a. Brain on a backpack and i like having a. Rather, larger brain it’s just pretty. Pretty large and i like that you can fit. You know a good portion of stuff in here. One thing that i thought was kind of. Different about the design on this one. Which i do like that it’s somewhat. Detachable we’re just flexible i don’t know that you can fully remove it because this is the weird part it kind of has this strap system that goes from. They i don’t know they got kind of funky with the straps on this backpack to be honest it’s got this one that connects to this it kind of runs down through these two loops and then back up through this knot and that can kind of cinch it. Down which i do enjoy that it keeps it. Pretty sturdy but i just think that there’s kind of necessary leakage one. Think that i have come to realize after. Having received it was that these straps. Are i think a little bit too simple for. Me and not as comfortable as i was. Hoping so just putting it on putting you. Now a lot of gear in it and testing it. Out and feeling it out these are pretty thin and as far as osprey packs go. They’ve come a long way with how. Amazing and cushioned and patted their. Straps are the pack that i hiked with. Through a year and a half it was like my. Home it was the osprey aura 65 and not. Long straps in compare more amazing these i just i don’t. Now if i can get behind a bag that’s gonna actually hurt my shoulder ernest. Because I’ve gotten spoiled so yeah this. Is the back of it which is pretty decent. I think as far as you know back to concern you do get a lot of airflow in here but in again it’s a slight. Disappointment compared to where osprey. Is now with their backs especially i think with the anti gravity backs that they’re coming up coming out with right now this just you know i don’t know that. You can get as much air flow as you know. The other box do because they’re almost you know of of your back it does have. The adjustable shoulder straps where you. Can get in here and adjust it to size. Which is nice it does have this the. External bladder right here which i do. Enjoy probably better than having it on. The inside for me i don’t know if it’s. Completely 100% necessary cuz I’m not. Even sure I’m gonna be taking my bladder on my travels so something again I’m. Just gonna kind of way out so these are a side mesh pocket, and they have some. Blue straps here that it goes either on. The outside or you can realign them on. The inside sometimes i think they’re. Just a little bit overkill these this. One in particular go zigzag across this. Pocket but then also attaches to the hip. Belt and this side pocket so i don’t. Now if cinching this up a lot is gonna. Just like i don’t know. It’s just for me I’m not sure the reason. Why it’s there if you know leave a comment this right here for like ice. Pick and i know their cord right here. You can tie it down so these straps. Right here are load stabilizer straps, and they help you balance how much of a. Load that you’re taking on your upper back so those are really helpful i think. Most backpacks come with them as far as the hip belt it looks pretty nice looks. Like it’s got some air flow to it even these pockets right here are like half. Mesh which is kind of nice another thing. When i was kind of disappointed in was the quality or the sturdiness of these. Straps on the buckle and so this buckle. I’m not super stoked on the design or. The quality it just seems kind of. Slightly flimsy so and we can give you a. Lot of to work with here i know. It’s the extra small and i mean that’s. Kind of what it comes with but say you’re having a heavy day and you. No need a little bit more room for. This like it’s not that big so i enjoy. That there aren’t super long straps cuz. On my last one they were really long but yeah i just give at least a little bit. More oh and it’s got this sternum strap. And the sternum strap is adjustable as well so that’s nice to have one of these. That can adjust easily this little. Pocket i was somewhat excited for but i. Don’t know what more than like your two. Fingers you can fit in here i was hoping. That it might be able to fit like my ipod but i have come to found out the. Test will not happen it’s just way too. Small so that’s kind of diss yeah i think that’s the stow on the go trekking poles and so you can store them. Right here in here which is really nice. When you’re hiking and you just don’t want to use them or you have to kind of like scramble up some rocks so there’s just the two entrances the bottom and the top i do like this kind of. Compression saint-jean my top which is your bags pretty full and you want to just cinch it down that’s pretty nice it. Does open really wide which i like and. So you can just get in there and it’s. Pretty nice that if you don’t have a side entry then you’ve got a nice big. Open entrance to the top of your bag. Yeah so then there’s the bottom entrance. Here and i don’t know if i might just. Not read it but i was hoping for kind of. Like separation down here for my sleeping bag but there isn’t any separation so i mean if you’re taking. Put your bag some other stuff might fall. Out i don’t know i just like for the. Divider here these clips serves or you. No sleeping mask or yoga mat or whatever you keep on here all around i. Feel like this is a pretty awesome bag but the only thing is. That for i think long distance traveling. It just doesn’t do’t have some of the. Some features that i like you know bag i would maybe recommend it for like some maybe week-long backpacking. Hikes or if you’re more into the kind of. Minimalistic style i would say it feels really good i think I’m possibly just going to look for a another bag and find. Something that fits my needs because. It’s gonna be home for a while thanks for watching the video i hope you guys enjoyed it if you wanted to ask any. Questions feel free to ask them in the comments and I’ll try to answer oh yeah. That’s good this video helped you guys out alright thanks guys You.
With a flexible, yet supportive BioSync design, side-strap compression system, and a slew of handy pockets, the Gregory Maya 16 Backpack is ideal for full-day hikes or epic mountain bike rides. The Maya’s BioSync suspension system allows the pack to move with your body in motion and keeps the pack centered on your back. The pack’s hydration tube management system keeps the drinking tube within easy reach, so you don’t have to divert your attention to take a drink. Dual waist belt pockets and side pockets make it easy to access the things that you need to get to in a hurry, like your camera or a snack. The Gregory Maya 16 fits a two-liter hydration reservoir, which is enough for a day hike or a long cross-country mountain bike ride.
Cleanly designed with a minimalist aesthetic, the Gregory Women’s Maya 22 Backpack brings functional carrying and streamlined support into your daily commute, weekend hikes, and far-flung travel. The BioSync suspension system not only prevents moisture build-up with its well-ventilated design, but moves naturally with your body to prevent uncomfortable pressure points resulting from an overly rigid back panel and shoulder straps.
The top-access main compartment is roomy enough for storing extra layers, daily documents, and other larger items, with an internal-zip security pocket for housing keys, cash, and other small necessities. Another innovative feature is the bungee-secured front pocket that expands to accommodate your bike helmet or rain jacket. Ultimately, this lends the Maya 22 the versatility needed for conquering everything from downtown bike commutes to extended travel across widely varying climates.

Thinking the right pack can seem like a very overwhelming experience for a lot. Of reasons there are so many packs in the market it’s kind of hard to narrow down which one is right for you i like. To look at three things when I’m picking it back first what’s my purpose i want. To make sure if I’m doing day hikes overnight trips I’m using it as a carry-on that it fits that specific reason then it needs to fit me and fit. My body to make sure that it’s dispersing all the weight properly and finally i wanted to be as comfortable as it can be when i first moved to alaska. This was the pack that i picked up it was deuter future pro 34 litre sl which. Sl on the deuter brand is a pack line. That is designed specifically to fit a woman’s body daughter is a german based. Brand they’ve been in the backpacking industry for 110 years they have several. Lines of packs and what they pride. Themselves on is their air ventilation system their packs are equipped with. This lightweight mesh system that. According to the company keeps you from. Sweating it keeps your a cut your sweat down by about 25% now as i mentioned. It’s important for a pack to fit you properly and there are two main areas. Where that’s true. It’s important that your pack fit in. Your shoulders and in your waist because that’s where you’re going to be carrying the weight now this is the sl meaning. That it is designed specifically for women’s body so that’s a number of. Different features the waist belt is smaller than say a man’s pack to. Accommodate that women are oftentimes smaller you also have slimmer shoulder straps. And they carry in a different way and then you have a smaller wound mostly. Have smaller torsos and so the s outfits. Petite torso one of the things that i. Found that i like pack opposed to a lot of packs is i find that it’s really easy to tighten it and. It’s also really easy to reduce in so. Say you’re layering you put on a coat and you need to loosen it a little bit you just kind of flip these back or you. Take off that jacket and you need to tighten it a little bit more it’s able to do that there are a number of. Different features in this pack pockets. Galore which is what we always like to see on packs you’ve got this top pocket. Which is perfect for gear that you’re. Gonna want to access quite frequently then if you flip it open you actually. Have this sos card which gives you important sos survival advice which is. Kind of cool you also have this interior. Pocket on the lid which is designed to. Keep your valuables safe so i often put things in here that i don’t maybe want to access for the entire trip so keys my. Wallet my id anything like that. Now speaking of keys on the top lid the. Pack actually does come with a key chain that you can hook your keys to however i. Find that it’s not something that i use very frequently which also pockets on. The side i can put ear in there you got. These mesh pockets that hold water one. On either side and this side it also has. That gear pocket now this is a older. Model so it does have this front pocket. Which is an available on some of the newer models however all the models. Have this bottom compartment. That they call the sleeping bag compartment now if you take that out you. Can see it’s a separate compartment but you can also unzip it and it gives you access to the rest so you can use it away there’s a number of attachments. That come with deuter packs you can get attachments to carry ice picks or. Trekking poles as well there’s as well. These that you can attach carbines to. To carry other types beer with you. Whether it’s your coffee mug or something on the top one thing that i. Tend to use this pack for is carry-on. And also it’s a great overnight pack if you’re staying in like a hut or a cabin. So I’ve assembled some gear to kind of give you an idea of how much this 34. Liter pack and pull so i do have its. Hydration bladder compatible so i. Already have my 3 liter hydration bladder in there the hose goes through. The top out the back and then you can. Clip it with this velcro and you can. Actually remove it and clip it to either side whatever is more comfortable for you do we have that in there already. You’ve got our sleeping bag in the bottom we’re gonna throw in our thermos. Our jet boil. A pack of some extra layers you can see. It start to get a little bit tight. And finally every tooth throw in but a. Day and that’s worth food so you can see. That is tight at 34 liters is all of. That but we do still have room in the bottom, so we have a number of options we could stuff more stuff under there, or we can unzip it, and we can make it one large compartment now we talked about. Our lid without easy access exterior. Pocket this i tend to put things like a. Gps in satellite communication device. And always twitter paper now of course. There would be other odds and ends that you would probably carry with you and there is still room in here you have. Some room in our side pockets as well definitely could put headlamps lighters. Things like that other snacks um but. It’s starting to get a little bit full but you could definitely it’s a great weekend bag now one of my favorite features of this pack is the rain cover. So say it starts to sprinkle a little bit outside you just unzip the bottom. Pull out the rain cover that’s actually. Attached by a clip pull it. Over your pack it fits perfectly. And you are ready to go sprinkle stop. It’s easy to take off one thing i really. Like is placement i like that it’s at. The very bottom and i also really like. That it has a clip say you’re doing a little bit of bushwhacking you’re crawling with your branches or things on a rough trail it just touches and rips. Off which it had happened before it’s. Still connected so it seems like you don’t quite use it this often then you. Just back it back in the big shot. And you are good to go now as i. Mentioned i would say that this is the perfect pack for say a weekend trip if. You’re staying in a cabin if you’re staying in the hot it’s perfect for day trips where you need a little bit of extra space it’s not necessarily the. Perfect just day pack with friends. Because it is a little bit heavy at. Almost 4 pounds so you probably wouldn’t want to carry that if you didn’t need to however it was the very first pack that i owned and i used it exclusively for. About three years before picking up some. Other packs some smaller packs and some bigger packs and now i find that i use this exclusively for day trip activity. So berry picking or fishing are the. Primary uses that i use it for but i do. Enjoy the deuter brand i like the slim. Fit the sle for women i think it fits me. Very well and i have other women friends that it fits as well and i would. Definitely recommend and ain’t your. Local store and trying it out. And seeing if it’s the right back for you.
For a more streamlined design compared to its slightly larger counterpart, the Deuter Trail 24 SL Backpack provides you with enough space for a day’s worth of gear without extra space and weight. AirContact Trail uses contoured shoulder straps with a mesh lining, a ventilation channel between the pack padding, breathable foam back pads, and anatomically-formed hip fins to make heavy loads comfortable to carry. The SL Women’s Fit System has soft edges to the straps (which are shorter and narrower), smaller buckles, curved west belt wings, and shorter-length suspension system. Plenty of pockets organize your gear, and Deuter even added a wet/dry pocket to help separate your wet or dirty gear from the rest of your stuff.
On average, women have shorter torsos than men; Deuter kept this in mind while designing the Women’s Futura Pro 38 SL Backpack for a precise fit specifically for women. Its AirComfort Sensic Pro wraps the sturdy steel frame in padded mesh for extreme comfort on rough trails, and the Active Comfort Fit system adjusts the shoulders and waist belt vertically and horizontally for a fit specific to your contours. The Futura Pro also has a hydration-compatible sleeve and trusty hiking pole attachments that will get you through a weekend backpacking trip. Features like the top-loading construction make it easy to pack the Vario to the brim. Ripstop nylon material shows that Deuter knows what kind of durability you need on your hikes. Control sweaty-back syndrome when you head out for that five-mile jaunt to the talus fields of Chaos Canyon with the Deuter’s custom Aircomfort system. This design creates a separation between you and the pack for optimal stability on long hikes and reduction of sweat.

I’m jarred a–the daughter here the tahoe mountain sports talking about the future of pro 40 sl packs the future pro. Is slightly different from the future. Series so as you can see we’re going to have taller packs bigger packs we still. Use the spring steel framework so it’s. Going to allow for 25% less perspiration. By keeping the pack away from your back and letting a big airflow channel in there the spring steel is not like. Aluminum you’re going to be able to and its shape to do whatever and it’s always going to spring back to its original position like i said the future pro. Packs are going to be taller bigger, and they’re going to come with what we call our very flex hip belt the great flex. Hip belt does is that pivots so you can. Either tighten it down and lock it in or you can loosen it up and have that pit bull it’s really important to have that feature in our pro level packs when. You’re skiing when you’re hiking doing anything technical maybe climbing where you want your the bottom part of your body to work independently of your body. And you don’t want the whole weight of that pack swing so that very flex tip. Belt is a really nice feature more. Substantial in the hip belt as well it’s a bigger pack you’re going to be carrying more weight we want lumbar support and then because we have the. Real estate on the hip belt we’re actually giving you two front pockets along the hip belt as well so like i. Said a little bit of a different design here you’re gonna have a top loading pack instead of the features which are panel loading still hydration. Compatible with the nice extendable collar you do have the. Separate compartment whether it’s. Sleeping bag whether it’s wet clothes whether it’s bike stuff dirty clothes. Whatever you want to do you have that. Divided compartment with access back here but you can also zip out the compartment and make it one long tube if. That’s your hiking style or your packing style we do have trekking pole loops and of. Course the deuter you have your rain cover so you’re going to have rain integrated rain cover in the bottom of the pack it is attached but it is also removable so perfectly sized for this pack so that. You are you stay dry that is the future. Pro 40 sl I’m jared and you can check. These out at mountain sports.
Hey how’s it going guys got another backpack review for you thank you so much young’s backpacking for hosting this what you’re looking at here is the deuter future 0 4 t sl first off let’s. Start by saying that you can have the most expensive backpack in the world but if it doesn’t fit right you’re gonna be hating life just because the weights not gonna be distributed evenly it’s gonna be uncomfortable and you’re just not gonna want to wear the pack in the first place so what a bunch of female outdoor experts at dora did was they analyzed. Some differences between male and female anatomy, and they made packs that. Where specifically shaped for the female body normally for in terms of body shape. Men tend to have straight torsos whereas. Women tend to have a more hourglass. Shaped figure with wider hips and narrower shoulders and so this bag has. Been engineered to fit a woman’s torso. Which tends to also be shorter hence the name as sells for a short. Length I’m just gonna go over some of the features of this bag and hopefully he’ll give you an idea of whether you might want to get it for yourself or for your girlfriend or your wife so let’s start first off just start with. The suspension here what you got here is a nice well padded waist belt i like the. Fact that it has a hip belt pocket the boy is pretty good about putting the hip belt pockets on their waist belts if you’re gonna have a waist belt why not have a pocket it’s great it’s nice and sizable enough to stick change small items maybe a it’s a little bit small. Too small for a phone but anything small that you want to get to without having to take off the pack so it’s good give. You a look at the clasp at the front. Here. And you have nice padded shoulder straps. Not too thick but just enough to give it makes it comfortable and you have an adjustable sternum strap now for the sl. Version since it’s a made for the female anatomy they put the shoulder straps. A little bit closer together then on the standard version just because women tend to have narrower shoulders and wider hips and the waist belt has been angled let’s see if i can get the information card and give you a look at the picture. Here you’ll notice here the white would. Be the standard version so the white outline so as you can see the waist belt for a standard version kind of goes out straight whereas here on the orange the. Waist belt for the sl version kind of tilts up and that’s to make for the angular hip angle on a women’s backpack. Also even though this is listed as being. Mostly for women hence this little flower here this comes off by the way this is also recommended also for men. Who have a short torso as well so don’t think this is just for women if you’re a guy and you have a short torso this will work out just fine just take out the flower I’ll leave it doesn’t matter. This also boosts the deuter air comfort. System i talked about it on my own back pack the deuter future 42 basically what. You have here is two aluminum stays i don’t know if you can see it here these. Two stays that arch the back of the pack. Away from your body and then you have this mesh panel right here that your body rests against and this gives a nice little area right here for air to circulate so you’re doing it you don’t get sweaty back i was worried when i. First got my backpack that this mesh would rip or tear or break or whatever but actually after kicking around my bag for a good two years i haven’t had any problems so i trust it now so it’s pretty good and the aluminum. Stays they’re flexible they’re strong, but they’re flexible, so they can bend so really durable system so don’t worry that you’re getting a bag that’s gonna be comfortable but fall apart later this system has lasted me really. Well go into the side there are two. Compression straps you have a bottom compression strap and a top compression strap which you can also undo the top one with a clasp like so. The bottom one is fixed and then you. Have side mesh pocket on the other side as well it’s elastic and it’s pretty durable this mesh material you should. Look at the other side here like so going to the back of the panel back of. The bag there’s a top loading design so. You undo these two clasp you take the top off basically what top loader design. Is its just a main sack with a lid on. Top before i go to the main compartment let me just talk about the lid you have. A back access pocket for the live light here on the back and then when you open. Up the lid on the underneath side you. Have another access pocket right here. Going to the front of the bag you have. An elastic mesh pocket which you can also tighten with the top compression strap right here so in terms of storage. Space i think you could stick a helmet. Here but it’s gonna be kind of tight fit would have like this to be a little bit stretch here and a little bit more expansive for this mesh pocket just so i could stick in a lot of your helmet but for a bike helmet or anything around that size no problem whatsoever you can also stick like so you take off your mid layer your fleece you could just jam it in here without having to undo and get to the main part of the compartment of the pack going into the interior pocket oh by the. Way i love the fact that it’s using these bright colors it makes it easier for you to find your gear if you have a. Black kind of interior it makes it harder to find here but with this bright color any times you put inside are gonna stand out and i love that going into the interior of the bag you’ll notice you. Have a velcro loop attachment for attaching stuff and you have this inner. Back pocket for sticking a hydration bladder this bag is hydration compatible and if you look here on the sides you have a hole on one side here for the loop to go out and on the other side so you can have the hydration bladder going either from your left and right side without the loop hitting the back of your head i really like that it’s a nice touch and just. Give you a look here that’s basically it for the main compartment let me just. Close this guy up that’s about it pretty. Simple design a fair number of pockets. For powder storage and interior storage. Some gear separation in the lid and a very ergonomic design for a different. Frame sizes if you’re of a shorter frame. Size or if you are a woman and just want. Something that fits the contours of your body so it’s my little overview of the. Deuter future 0 40 sl thanks for watching guys and have a great day.
Hey guys tamir this is my daughter for. Tara pro 38 liter packs I’ve had this. Think for about a year now and i really liked it i figured it’s about time i did a review on it i remember. When i bought it the only review i could find was in german but it got me a good. Look at what the pack had to offer so i. Figured I’d put a decent English one. Up there in case anyone else is looking at any of the smaller dotter packs. I don’t think rei actually carries the. 38 anymore i got it online when i lived. In indiana so i couldn’t go to the store well last time i went i believe i saw. 3432 it was red so I’m not sure if this. One’s even still around but i like it a. Lot so I’m just going to show you guys really quickly a couple features on it is a top loading pack so i opened up. Here and expanse quite a bit very good. Amount for a pack this size gives you a. Lot more room to put stuff the top. Compartment does not come off but it. Does fit nicely over even if it’s completely full it has a pocket on the. Inside works really well and as well as. On the back it’s got a nice pocket here. Too. Having trouble with the zippers no yes the same time on the side here each side. Does have a side pocket that is fairly. Sizable i can fit a pair of flip-flops or something in their pretty easily i put a lot of miscellaneous things on the side pocket and like i said each side. Does have a side pocket. Once again these zippers work perfectly fine I’m just being a noob with my. Camera in my hands instead of on a tripod it’s got a lot of different areas. Where you can attach carbines i got a. Whistle there i tied my bandana up here. Great for a sweat rag sweaty guy like me. And a bunch of loops just to put. Then anywhere gives you space to hold. Extra things which i like a lot like. They have a lot of stuff on the outside of my pack down here you can access the. Included rain cover with this nice blue. Bad boy that fits very well onto the pack I’ve only had to use it once sort of work just fine when i used it. Though it was a light rain so i can’t attest to that too much. The last pocket of note is here it’s a. Math pocket and it’s really a map pack and it can’t hold too much because it goes back fairly far there but i. Usually just keep my maps in there as. Well as a compass down on the bottom you. Do have our sleeping bag compartment. And that opens up and right now i have it going completely through the entire. Pack so the solution back apartment does. This is what it looks like zip. Even when exhibits very sizable in this. I can fit my mic open sleeping bag ather. Mraz pro light sleeping mat my cocoon pillow as well as a pretty big hammock i. Got from dick’s it’s not not anything too fancy pretty heavy but i can fit all. Four of those in there which is very nice. Do a couple loops down here as well good. For holding ice picks trekking poles anything like that we have our side compression straps as. Well as the elastic water bottle holders. On the side water can go in through. There. Though there is not one on the other. Side i think there would be that’s one. Think that’s a little bit annoying about it but that’s not a huge deal the thing. That really attracted me to this pack was the air comfort very flexes that deuter has put here the hip belt it’s. Slightly mobile it boasts that it moves. From side to side but it really doesn’t do a lot but it’s enough to. Kind of go with you on the trail a. Little bit but nothing really to brag about it is very comfortable there are. No side pockets on this which is one. Think that i wish they did have and they. Don’t have any really good way to secure. Your straps my wife has a Gregory. Jade and her straps can tuck right and. She’s got the nice side pockets such as me music but the system on the back. Really does allow for air to get in here. Very well very comfortable light. Back i can wear it and like i said. Earlier I’m a sweaty dude hits a that’s a bandana but my back does not sweat. Because i get so much air coming in through the back here overall it’s a. Very good pack i like it a lot for. Night weekend short weekend hikes things. Like that i can fit a lot in this bad boy this seams are strong no complaints. About it so far.

There are a couple things i would like to point out that really just show off the type of quality the type of thinking that went into this pack check out this d-ring right here metal very solid very. Sturdy let’s fold this back here now check this out you have one of the compression strap buckles and you see this you can take this out and adjust it. You can move it up you can move it down any place that you need to that is. Incredibly smart that is a very good feature having fixed compression straps. Really limit the way that you can load your pack the way that you hunker it down so being able to move those up and. Down really opens up a lot of doors for. The way that you can hunker down your load and get it comfortable for your trip with the water bottle pockets right below you do have this drawstring on each one so you can slide your water bottle in and then pull it nice and. Tight on the inside you have a clip as. You can see for your hydration bladder so you can just lock it into place it. Prevents the whole thing from sagging another great feature below the hydration keeper you have a zipper which gives you access to the. Frame sheet and the aluminum stays i. Showed mentioned below that you have an additional zippered area and this is. Perfect for maps its perfect for keeping extra cash if you’re traveling. Around that way if something happens you get robbed you have a spot with extra. Cash hidden away trust me you need to do. It if you’re a backpacker if you’re a traveler below that you have a hydration. Sleeve which can hold three liters of. Water easily other than that there are no more sleeves there are no more pockets you can shove your sleeping bag down in the very bottom there is no set writer so it’s just one big pocket so my.
