Freestones are typically used to hunt Katy whitetails but there’s no reason. They can’t work on elk the key is portability. And at just 17 pounds. This Voyager tree stand from API outdoors might just be your ticket to a full freezer. You need to be able to put your stand. Where the elk are like whitetails elk typically don’t look for danger from above but. They do depend heavily on their keen sense of smell to detect danger may help mitigate. You comfortable all day the solid steel construction will hold up to 300 pounds. It includes 1/2 inch slide buckle nylon strap. And 1 1 inch cam buckle strap as well as a full body harness. If you’ve got a wallow a watering hole. Even a migration corridor plugged into your GPS consider a tree stand on your next time you.
The ledge hang on tree stand by summit is for hunters who want a large platform the little bench on the ledge gives. Me freedom of movement which is important particularly. When I’m bow hunting so. You want to stand it has a large platform. And full freedom of movement the ledge is your answer.
I’m Darren Richardson here at the 2000 1980 a show I’m with mark from summit tree stands. And he’s got some cool looking stands here he’s gonna talk to. Us about, so I’m gonna let him explain a little bit about. What he’s got absolutely so. This is our new hang on stand. This is the featherweight switch it’s got an MSRP of — 1999 it’s its 17 pounds it’s got a big platform got a 23 by 28 inch platform on. And the cool thing about. This state well it comes with a nice 2-inch seats — so that’s good but you’ve got platform adjustments on. This stand so if you’re on a little bit of a lean. You can adjust this model has a bracket system. And we’ve got that here. That it’s the switch receivers so. This is the featherweight switch so. You can buy these are $2999. You can have multiple setups move. One stand around you want to. If you’re hunting public lands. You can take your stand home with. And that’s very nice for the mobile hunters especially on public land. Because they’re gonna see a stand hanging in a tree.
You leave if you’d leave just. That it’s probably not gonna be noticed. And it’s gonna be there for you next time so that’s a cool feature absolutely. And so yeah that’s that’s the featherweight switch. And then you know we’ve got the featherweight stand it’s its the identical model. It doesn’t have the adjustment. It does not have the bracket so. That one’s I believe 199 is the MSRP on. One okay this like a powder coating finish on. You got here yeah so. It is it’s its coated it’s its an aluminum stand. And yeah it’s got this durable coating on. That way you’re not getting rust. And problems with it stands up to the weather well. Everything like that okay. It just a top strap. You actually add a bottom.
Or just mainly the on the bracket at the top there’s. It does it’s got it’s got the bracket top up front then it’s got the strap on the back. That goes around yes sir well it’s definitely a good-looking stand. It looks pretty mobile. And that’s what most of. Us guys are after these days so thank. And check them out summit tree stands yep.
I’m gonna be doing a review on asylum 150 monsters hang on. Istart off by saying. That millennium tree stands have a high reputation of making great products. And I have several other parts nah. Ilike them very much. You see a lot of stuff out there. You know every now. And then someone say. Something about. Some company but I mean that’s just common but. Ihave nothing bad to say at. All about millennium. This is one of the biggest hang on. That they make as you see with the big lounge. And see the big platform well the platform is 24 inches wide by 37 inches deep the seat is 20 inches wide by 17 inches deep. It folds up I got the m103 lon. This standing weighs 19. And a half pounds for a big hang on. That big you can’t get much lighter it’s aluminum as well I’ll start off by saying. That William has great innovations in their products with the block. That you can hang in the tree prior to pulling your stand up. And that’s something that’s. Ithink absolute great innovation. That a tree stand manufacturers come out with. This millennium because. You can hang your block. And consider area and then before your stand up. And then slide it rights in. And put your Carter key through the bottom right here as I’ll show. You later in the video but. This is an absolute. One of the most comfortable stands who ever sat in. Something else I’ll mention is every three standing. That millennium sends out. All the hounds let’s just say not. Everyone all the hang on portable stands.
That they may come with a lifeline that’s. Something I think it’s a very important there’s no dear no big-game animal is worth anybody’s life. Ithink try to be as safe as possible. When you’re in the woods but I’m going to camouflage just stand up here to sing and put a little bit of paint on. It as you see it’s got like a dark gray finish on. It that’s Wallasey kind of it’s just. Something in particular. Ilike to do the most stands. That help camouflages the bigger stand like. This that may stick out maybe not as appealing I guess. You can say but I’m gonna be painting it with. Some just rust-oleum camouflage paint. This is tan and then. Igot a dark green out there but. One attempt about paint. And stuff you take cardboard. And play the time and trace. It out and you can actually make a leaf pattern out of cardboard.
If you want to get. That serious with it but that’s just. Something I’ve kept over the years of spraying a lot of stuff with but anyways like. Isaid I’ve got the shooting rel on. It rights there for gun season there was a letter. Whatever you only use. It for the seat does fold up. And has bungees that attach to keep the stand sat up that’s. Something else I also talked about. This the stand right here it’s got to be why as I’ll show. You later interview as well. That you can adjust so the tree might not be perfect. And you can adjust to the level your platform up which is absolutely awesome it’s got a billion-foot rest. Imean you just can’t ask for much. More when we neom but uh I’m gonna show. You before and then after camouflage spray-paint, but we’ll get to. It alright guys know I’m done with a stand.
That uh slapped a little bit of paint on. It you know to help camouflage blend in quite a bit I’m pleased with. How it turned out and didn’t take. It about 10-15 minutes to camouflage. It up pretty good the only thing else I’m gonna do is hang on Reggie strap right there that’s bronze. And then should be about. It and lean they give. You a padded shooting girl. It goes around top of. It that’s pretty nice but uh just velcro zone. Something out, so I also mentioned the stands it’s a the seat is adjustable from 16 to 20 inches so. If you’re not really the comfortable in the world with. Where you’re standing position seat height for different sized people like myself I’m 63. Igot it jacked up a little bit high, so I’m not necessarily knees. Or not what about your tremendous the bad but I’m extremely happy with.
This stand and I’ll give. You all folks up bank job here’s as well. What I was talking about the seeds is adjustable. You just pull this knob out. And the Sam can shift quite a bit of a movement for the tree. If it’s bowed out or bowed in that’s very nice but I’m very pleased with. How the sand turned out that’s. All you do is cut cardboard out. And slap the paint on. It I’m pretty happy very nice lock on as y’all can see. How comfortable this stain is. Ican sit in about all day long but. Something I’ll say about millennium is they’re known for their capability. And it doesn’t really matter. What kind of standing you get from the m7 to the m150 here they’re. All really comfortable. When it boils down to. It but these big stands like.
This it’s like the Cadillac of LOC homes. You won’t get no more comfortable but a really nice shooting real. They just give it loose right here talking back down to. Where you want it marry your didn’t shoot that’s. Something I like about. This stand is you can put a shooter long like. This and it’s working it’ll work absolutely perfect. And that’s something I think it’s important with new especially hunting big deer. Iwant to be a rock star as. Ipossibly can though but William tree stands guys. Iappreciate you watch and be sure to LIKE. And subscribe your check them out.
All right guys millennium m150. This has to be one of the. Most comfortable hang on stands. You can put your backside into. This guy right here is huge mesh sheet comfortable. It feels almost like your living room recliner at home it’s awesome I’ll tell. You about a few things right here. This stand is 19 and a half pounds the platform on. This guy is 24 by 37 so. It has a huge platform the seat is mesh get a little breath ability to. It on the warm days it’s not a foam. That the critters are gonna chew up which is super awesome. One of my favorite things about. Any hangs on stand the ladder stand. Any stand is this footrest right here. Itend to hunt dark to dark. That it’s a 12-hour day in the tree stand an hour before daylight. And an hour after daylight so. Iabsolutely am in love with the footrest simply. It takes just a little bit of weight off your legs. And allows you to sit a much longer period of time. This guy right here. Ihave spent 12 14 hours at a time in Kansas the last couple years. They are awesome I would highly recommend looking into. This it’s an aluminum platform again 19.
And a half pounds so it’s not super heavy it’s going to have a 300 pound capacity as well I’ll show. You a little bit real quick. This stand you like to stand up simply got. Some bungee cords on the side here it’s got. Either side you can just hook. It to a little bracket here it’ll stay up. You don’t have to worry about. That seat coming down. Another thing too is. When you’re hanging this guy. It’s going to come with a bracket. That allows you to strap. It to the tree first. And I’ll show and bear with. Me here the stand is not loud it’s out it’s our tree stand system here but. This bracket right here you’re going to strap. This to the tree this secured on in a good location there’s a bracket right here on the backside of. This stand this will just slide right into. It so right here will slide right into.
And it’ll absolutely make your hanging process a lot easier as. Iknock things off the stand so right there makes a life a lot easier. Than trying to hold. That stand and then Ratchet. It around if you’ve ever struggled but make sure you’re wearing safety harnesses lifelines. And stuff like while you’re hanging this tree stand but. This guy right here in our flyer. And on our website is gonna be — $1999. Ihighly recommend you take a look at. If you’re looking to upgrade your deer hunting game a little bit so. You can stay on stand a little bit longer. This guy right here will definitely check yeah Roger sportinggoodscom. And remember everything over $100 ships free.
Welcome back good limit outdoors fans as. You can see the weather is changing so for me. And the rest of the gang. That says it’s time to get ready for hunting, so we’re gonna do today is we’re going to show. One of the products for muddy outdoors. This is the outfitter hang on stand we’ve already got. It put together as you can see it’s got. Some little grooves in the back. You just set that on the tree. And then grab the top up here. And push it against the tree then grab your ratchet straps pull them around the tree. And then you can see there’re little loops on here. These loops go on the knobs. That are right in here okay just pull the ratchet pretty snug good just a couple tools on there. That way you can get the bottom. All adjusted make sure it’s pretty level okay. And then the other strap. That goes on the bottom the same thing come around. It on the keeper right there. And then pull it snugs a couple of the key features. We like about this particular stand is the adjustable platform. That give them an outdoors are different heights so it’s kind of nice for us for those. That are taller you can adjust. And move all the way down. And those are the roughest is a little shorter remove. All the way up the top so. When you’re setting here your feet are actually going to be rested on.
This platform top about the seat a little bit. This is extremely comfortable see look. How thick and you’re gonna be sitting in the tree for you know hours on end. You want to be very comfortable. This seat will definitely get. That done for you the other thing is. When you’re bow hunting and. You go to stand up the seat moves out of the way for you so you’re not leaning out too far over the tree so guys. If you’re looking for a good tree stand go check out muddy outdoors website. Or wwo muddy com get a limit outdoor sponsored by rigid industries LED lights cigars always the best legend boats build Marines muddy outdoors pressures. And arms game calls by hunters apparel slow rate spy navigate dominate.
the muddy outfitter stand starts with an extra large platform measuring 34 inches deep by 24 inches wide. That features an expanded metal non-slip pattern. It has a three-inch thick triplex foam seat giving you increased comfort for those all-day sits. And flips back to full platform use the outfitter uses the silent cam buckle. And silent ratchet strap system to secure to the tree. This stand also has the fixed footrest for added comfort an additional feature for the outfitter is the angle adjust in the platform. And on the seat allowing you to hang the outfitter in trees of.
Constructed of steel rectangular tubing the outfitter also features d-force 3-inch expanded metal grates. And the whole stand is coated with fiber guard texture for extra grip the outfitter features an extremely nice 24 inch wide by 34 inch deep platforms. That also incorporates a footrest. What I love about the size of. This platform is when the buck of your life shows up. He gives you the run around the tree you’ll be ready the outfitter comes with two leveling systems. One for the seat one for the platform adjustment is simple to adjust the seat move. This bolt in or out to adjust the platform. You simply pull take pressure off of the platform slide the next available slot. And lock back down again the outfitter features a very generous 15 inch wide by 11 inch deep seats the seat is comprised of three layers of triplex foam totaling three inches thick there is also a water-resistant epic camo seat cover the outfitter utilizes nylon washers. And other components throughout its construction to lemonade noise. And to keep moisture out the outfitter is attached to a tree with the ratchet strap at the top. And the cam strap at the bottom the bark biter at the top of the stand does an extremely good job of biting in additional teeth can be found at the bottom of the stand to ensure. You are locked in and you’re not going to go anywhere in addition to. Everything else you’ve seen the outfitter also comes with an instruction manual a safety harness a window sticker a DVD on tree stand safety. And an accessory bag which originally housed. All the bolts and washers the outfitter tree stand by muddy is a really great buy in my opinion.
Iwas able to get this stand for right around 130 dollars. That money you get a lot of great features. That you’re gonna love as a hunter the only drawback to the stand is the weight it’s a little bit heavy at 18 pounds. You could pack it in as advertised but there’s other options out there. That fit that fill for a permanent stand set for the season. You are not going to find a. More comfortable stand to fit your needs.
You have that part on the tree then the stain that’s simple. You just here’s the backpack straps right here. You know you just pull. It off of your back. You reach up here you slide. That bad boy in boom just like. You know be quieter. Both hands I wouldn’t be holding a cell phone trying to video. You know push that down boom. And climb off your sticks into your stand good to go. Ihad a better angle to show. You guys but I’m I’m digging the stay in the stands the seat is comfortable. Isit down the seat. Igot there’s plenty of room I’m a tall guy I’m not super tall. You know I’m about 6 foot 200 pounds so. You know I’m not super small but. This seat is uh just comfortable for me the. One thing I can kind of feel. Some pressure right here in the seat. Where it’s doubled up but. Ithink that’s gonna break in. This just because it’s a brand-new oven. Or sat in it before but. Ialso have longer legs so my legs are. You know at 90 degrees so it’s not as much pressure on the back of my legs. You were a shorter guy. You know your legs were not really touching the platform as much as mine. More pressure on your legs. It might become a problem but. You know I don’t see. It being too much of a big deal.
Something I like about. It is the stainless so it’s really short compared to. Most of my stains but so is the seat so. You still have a ton of foot room. It feels like more room in. This thing then my other lock owns. This is a way shorter platform. Idon’t know the exact dimensions on. It rights I can look. It in the notes but. You know it’s got a big enough seat. That you’re comfortable. And then you still have plenty of room. This is perfect you stay there. And there’s no you know we’re not bouncers zero flex in. Because it’s so short it’s a stronger it’s a stronger system. It feels like so but uh yeah.
Ithink that’s how I’m gonna carry. You know when it’s on your back it’s like it’s ready to rock. And roll a lot of people. Isaw we’re complaining about. This screw right here. Because as it comes. This screw is out you know. Whenever you’re whatever. You pull it out of the package. This stands all assembled. And ready to rock and roll so. You would think but the seat is flipped. That way backwards and then. And then this is up here. And then you carry. You know there’s your back it’s upside down right. Now but why don’t you just take the screw out. And flip it around get. How it’s supposed to go. That way you don’t have to fiddle with. When it’s in the tree. Because a lot of people were posted on there. You know you drop the screw but walk cuz yeah. You drop the screw when you’re 20 feet up you’re probably gonna ruin your hunt. Because you’re probably never gonna find it so. Either carry extra or three. Or man just you’re staying like.
This hey there’s nothing wrong with. Because it’s still super short. This doesn’t even hang hardly down past the stand it’ll actually. You are loading your sticks on here. And strap them down. If you’re a climb estate kind of guy it’ll actually keep your sticks closer to your back. You know this won’t be hanging here. And then your sticks be here. You know this is just flats your sticks will be closer against. Idon’t know just a fall uh. Some things I’m thinking about doing so a new strap leave. You know ready to go. You know I’m not gonna fiddle with. That bolt while I’m in the tree. And then uh yeah I think that’s pretty much. All just a quick look at the m7 micro light it’s very nice stand big fan of a super lightweight very comfortable after. Ido a couple hunts in. It I’ll probably post. This video, and then we’ll go from there alright guys thanks for watching.
This is the first of our good gear reviews. We want our subscribers to know. What we use horn hunting and why we use. We don’t have any sponsors so. This is just stuff we’ve bought. We have kind of went through over the years we’ve been hunting 20 years. And there’s a lot of stuff. Istarted our thinking was great. Idon’t use anymore. This is just the stuff. We truly love and I’m gonna start with my favorite piece which is a tree stand the Millennium m7 microlight. This is new I think millennium came out with. These last year we have been using the M 100 U. And the older version M 100. That you’ve seen in our videos was around 14 pounds. And that’s not including the strap. That attaches to the tree which is about a pound. Ithink comes in at around 8 pounds. It feels lighter it is an excellent stand let. You real quick how to set. It up it’s easy with the way. That the foot piece is made to get to fit. This on the back of a backpack to run your straps through. It that’s one thing we love about. It’s easier than the old M 100 let. How quiet it is to set up a lot of people complain about the ratchet saying it’s too loud but. You can do it pretty quietly. You get used to you take your time.
You don’t try to hurry through. It so the first thing you got to do. When you’re setting it up let’s unscrew. One bolt I usually put in my mouth so drop. It on the tree get it through. This cloth portion sometimes up is the hardest part. And I’m doing that fast. And making it loud but. You can do it really quietly set. That against the tree hold the ratchet strap tight. And then very quietly. And slowly to slow more slowly do. It into less sound work. That ratchet strap that’s tight. Ihad to what was that five. Or six turns on the ratchet strap. It is super tight with the tree then reach down grab. This there’s a pinhole. That goes through here I’ve already lost my pin to be honest but. Idon’t use that portion. We never used it on the old m100 but. You have to put this in the receiver of the mount I’ve got. This is usually metal-to-metal I’ve quite mined up by putting a little bit of duct tape on the top of.
That was quiet next step push the bottom down. They have to move it over a little bit. Now that’s pretty solid. And next thing I’d do is reach up with my foot can. That thing in still shakes just a hair but I’ll show. How confident even without. Another strap on that thing’s not going anywhere but. What I like to do I use an old military strap. Igot over a military surplus site. This with all my tree stands it’s not just. It around it’s super lightweight on the. Many ways to nothing it’s not. Isay it’s a third of the weight of a ratchet strap stick. That on the bottom right above the platform pull. It tight rolls and I’m telling you. That sound going anywhere. What I love about this tree stand it’s just enough size to work correctly our old M 100 use. They probably came out. This far that’s great but. Inever used the end portion of. This just comes out far enough for it to work so give. Me enough room to get.
All the surrounding way’s not loud. Imean I’m smacking on. Idon’t know with something with my boots. Ican be really quiet on. It the seat up and down makes no noise whatsoever. Most important part. Icannot sit in an uncomfortable tree stand the reason I’ve never tried a lone wolf. Ihear they’re great stands of people. That go to lone Wolf’s love them the reason. Ihaven’t tried that seat looks uncomfortable to. We use as m100 use for five. Or six years they were great they’re like a recliner they’re just the stands a little too heavy for me. Now I’m getting old. And decrepit so this stand is. You know five or six pounds lighter. This seat these metal pieces on the end. They don’t dig into my legs at. Icould sit here we stayed in the tree.
This year it doesn’t bother. Even feel like I need to stand up. And to get relieve the pressure off your area in. You don’t even need to take. Any breaks it’s just super comfortable my favorite tree standing by a mile. Idon’t see us using anything else in the future. We went through enough tree stands to know. What we like this will be our permanent setup for filming at home.
