Hey guys I just wanted to take a minute. This afternoon and talk about. Some mouth calls from redhead. That I’ve been using this year. And I’ve had some really good luck with I’ve been using these three. They are they’re all v-cut styles. All have the same similar a space ound. And personally that raspy sound just. It seems like and cuts through the wind. I can get a lot of different noises out of. I can cut I love using these for running a gun. And trying to strike a bird up, so I’ll go through. All three of them and just kind of show. How they’re similar. Some different sounds so that’s just a simple Yelp.
And then this one’s really easy to cut on so there’s. One here’s one I’ve been using a lot. This spring it’s so. Ican get some softer sounds on. These these other two to locate a bird. And I’ll put when they’re starting to get closer. Iwanna get a little bit softer then. This last one is a probably the loudest of the three calls so there. You go um hopefully sounded pretty good to. How’s it go guys? Today I was going to give a pretty good review on the Wood haven custom. This is the ghost cut a diaphragm from the new ninja series for 2017. It also comes you get the complete ninja series you’ll get the v-cut. And you’ll get the venom. And a lot of people like the venom but for me personally it’s just kind of personal preference I’ve really come to like the ghost cut it’s fairly easy to blow it’s a three read it’s just to. It has got a good front end. And it’s easy to shift. You want to get that rasp as well, so I’ll just I’m not very good calling, so I’m going to just do a demonstration of. You can put a little rasp into. You can also kind of move. It around their tongue sometimes I’ll play with my mouth calls I’ll move them left to Center right to Center straight down the pipe just to kind of see which. Iprefer in the past I’ve had. Some problems with the diaphragm cause. That have extremely tight latex. Or probe on them.
But this particular Wood haven calls bent really nice for me. It sounds realistic. I was just going to give it a thumbs up rating the turkeys aren’t interested today I’m in May here in Kentucky. And it’s frustrating I saw five big Toms’s. Icome in this afternoon. They were at about four. Or five hens maybe six hands with them so. Ikind of low crawl back here to the back. And see I could work. Any of them but they won’t. Even gobble or acknowledge. Anything so again I guess the ninja ghost kind of rice but up a little bit I’ll move my left.
Or Center let’s kind of sum. Some basics like yelps just yelps. And cuts with it’s probably the easiest call up Singh for cutting so. You get into like a double recall so that’s. You can actually hold your shotgun. Ican’t do it right. It only does hands my barrel here. You can grab this hand use your thumb with finger. Whatever you can use. Both hands on the gun make the call the turkey can’t see. You in here you’re ready to shoot. I have found it seems for whatever reason. It does make a little bit. More consistent calling when. That as compared to. If you’re just yelping its fine the pull cord but. If you’re trying to do. Something more subtle like / doesn’t sound quite as good as you’re using your finger. What you can pluck /. You can yell cackle cut. All with this so extremely sweet call it’s also got. This little thing right here. You can twist and turn. It locks when you’re walking out your stand. It doesn’t make noises actually does make just a little bit but not much it’s got the little speaker type thing here.
And here little holes which allow the noise to get out here’s the strap. Iused a MK a 1919 shotgun which is like a ar-15 so. Ihad a really thick front grip so. I should take a piece of velcro. And wrapped it around. And fixed it in there so. You know a little bit bigger loop. This isn’t quite enough. More for like a shotgun. You know just around the barrel but it’s a great product for one-hand operation allows. You especially like. Isaid people who are not good at mouth Kali allows.
