Have you ever wondered what the best way to stay hydrated is while enjoying a whole day outdoors? The Oasis 1200 by TETON Sports comes with a leakproof 3-Liter hydration bladder and is thoughtfully designed with plenty of room for all the gear you want to keep handy. Rehydrate easily—wherever your adventure may take you. The Oasis 1200 hydration pack is a 20-Liter backpack designed to fit close to the body and weighs only 2.45 pounds unfilled. You can adjust the shoulder, chest, or waist straps to get a custom fit. It comes in a variety of colors and includes features normally seen on more expensive packs such as a shock absorbing chest strap, built-in safety whistle, and reflective trim. This super comfortable pack includes a thick air mesh back panel with 1/2” foam pads that fit tightly to minimize bounce. Shoulder straps have comfort-taped mesh with a notched foam stabilizer. The Oasis 1200 includes a free 3-Liter hydration bladder with a large opening to make cleaning easy. You will want to wash your bladder before your first use: Rinse out your bladder and hose with lemon juice or mild soap and warm water to remove any residues—then let your bladder dry out completely before reassembling it. You may need to prop the bladder open with paper towels to allow it to dry completely. Once it is dry, reassemble it. Be sure to tighten the hose at the base of the bladder—the O-ring gasket needs to sit down into the receiver so it can seal properly–this will prevent leaking. The kink-free sip tube is lightweight, but durable and the cushioned bite valve is easy to open or close: simply pull the mouth piece to open it and push it closed when you’re done drinking. To avoid drinking warm water, remember to drain the hose before you take your next sip. This can be done by blowing the water back into the bladder after each use. To lengthen the life of your hydration bladder: • Only use water in the bladder—acidic juices, alcohol, or milk will promote bacterial growth and corrosion • This bladder should not be exposed to temperatures over 120°F or under 0°F • After every use, thoroughly clean the bladder, tube, and valve with a mild, anti-bacterial detergent • Avoid prolonged exposure to UV light • And keep your bladder away from sharp objects

In the description to get this product today, at the best price, versatile bike, hydration vest the camelbak chase bike. Hydration vest.
Hey everyone welcome back to the channel review on the camelbak chase. Hydration vest this is kind of the lightweight uh low impact option. If you’re looking to carry water on your back, I got this because I had a yt capra and, as you all know, they don’t have room for a water bottle cage. So I wore this at the bike park and you know around my local trails, so I just wanted to share my thoughts and talk through a couple pros and cons of this particular vest, so I’ll go ahead and start with the cons here at the the start of this.
I think the first thing um for me is that the fit is a little bit tight um. It’s definitely you know good for someone who um, you know is kind of average size. I would say if you’re you know anywhere between five six and six feet. You’d probably be fine in this, but outside of that, there’s no adjustability, so you might just want to be a little bit careful um. You know with the sizing when you get this. I think the second thing is that the water, because the bladder is so close to your back- it’s like the only thing between your back, and that is this little bit of mesh.
Your water does tend to get pretty hot in the summertime, so I would just make a note of that as well. Um, there isn’t a ton of room in this, and you know that’s also a pro of this vest not just a con depending on how you look at it. But, like you know, you can get a tube some snacks, your 1 5, liter bladder and then a couple tools in there and you’re about maxed out, there’s not really room. For you know extra clothing, if you have to stash in there is really kind of the bare minimum, and I guess what I would just say about that is you know if you’re looking to go on like a longer ride like there were a couple rides.
I went on this year that were like over 15 miles where I ran out of water, and I really wish I had something more so I mean, as you can see here, I’m kind of putting it on and you know showing the adjustability. It definitely is super comfy, so I’ll use this time to transition over to the pros of this vest, I think first off super lightweight super small again. I bought this because I didn’t have a bottle cage, but I also didn’t want to have to carry a ton of stuff.
You know on my back. I did have one of the osprey raptor or whatever they’re called the ospreys bike. Hydration pack- and it was just a little too big like I didn’t- want to carry three liters of water all the time, and so you know this has a pocket for your phone. It has a pocket for some tools. You can fit snacks in there. It’s really just a great um. You know hydration pack to have when you’re going out to do a quick ride on the trails. There’s no movement of the vest when you are going down a hill- and I guess I shouldn’t say no movement but limited movement um.
You know a lot of the bigger vests that carry more stuff tend to shift around more as you’re descending or climbing. You know, if you’re moving your body a lot, the vest is going to kind of jostle a bit, but not as much as it would a traditional backpack, and I you know, I think, the last one. While there isn’t room for a ton of gear, you do have quite a few pockets on the back and I was able to fit a 29-inch spare tube, a small pump, a tool master link, trash, obviously from the snacks I was eating and then that one one and a half liter reservoir, which is really plenty of water.
If you’re just doing you know an around town or a quick, quick ride. So um, you know there’s quite a bit of space again, not as much as you would get out of something that is, you know a full-on pack, but I think the vest does a great job and camelback did a great job kind of making it. So you could fit a lot in there with a little bit of space, and so you know those are kind of the pros and the cons again. I I think the biggest con for me is like you sometimes get suckered in, because it’s such a great vest to take it on longer rides because it’s so comfy, but it really doesn’t provide enough water for a longer ride.
So I would just keep that in mind, but otherwise it’s a great product. It’s held up great. I would highly recommend this um. It is definitely one of my um favorite ways to stay hydrated on the trails. My new bike does have a water bottle, holder, so I’ll be doing some combination of the vest and the water bottle holder, but um you know other than that. I would definitely recommend this. Just keep a few of those cons in mind when you’re looking at this, and you know whether or not you need more than one and a half liters of water.
So thanks for checking out this video we’ll see you next time.
Hi, this is my review of the camel Bank for gravel sake on it sets high on the back and it lets you access your Jerry pockets, which is one reason that leichter it’s a 1 5 capacity and the Crocs I believe they call it reservoir and which, which is included. It’s quite a good design. Imagine as degree you’ll get dirty over time, but chuck it in the washing machine, and this is our poor kit. That goes all the way through just this store and like a waterproof or something Chuck gloves and- and here there’s a can- you open pork, again, I’ve gone up and in Judah and green keepin.
This pokey here is where the reservoir fats and as you’ll see that stress we want in the back so as I mash as a slate padded mesh. However, it does heat the water up quite dramatically. Of course, it’s near your body. I was running on cyclin weather to try a one other grape I’ll get to the main grape layer, as that is just too short to who corny here you who could round one back and then you know you slap over here, but it’s really tight and you feel as if you’re really bending these unnecessary I think it’s unnecessary.
We take a camel back Muir. Thank you, as I’ve had for years with slate, where I stated, never an issue and I loved it, which is why I went for the camel back again and I use a comeback. Bowls and well familiar with the brand to end. Somebody you’ve got miss doshy, stretchy pocket here. You’ve got as that porky here, which is by NSAIDs rooms up enough for a multi-tool. It’s your two canisters! Then it’s about two went through my hand. You know it’s a decent size for a small pack and again being I mean that’s.
Does that high on the shoulders high in your back? Sorry so that you can still access your pocus there’s a SAP pokey here which, for example, I’ve got two little late son, and so they are just giving you an indication of the size of Poker and there’s only one of them. So there’s a ones that pocket there bad a fight of their for the loop another play on or something so really. That’s the back covered the Camelback square, a subtle design, the quickly that national thing by doing that, the brain nsaids just brings it up to what you see what’s in there and somewhere to try a thorn backpack I’ve got so that’s the bank shield covered off coming her into the front again.
It does look short now, I’m a 42 inch chest. It does fat, make weight. Well, there’s a good adjustment on the side, 42 inch chest. That’s probably was left there to give you more adjustment, so um, quite like the fat 10 extent on it. So here does an elasticated pocket big enough for a folded over jail. So that’ll give you an idea of size to the jail, Senate, Stanley, a row for cycling or running so I. I, can you fold it up and it’s a flop? No, no there’s porky here, which I believe you can put one of the store, flasks and- and it’s got a toggle here- just do really tighten up if you’ve got a flask in there, so that it’s clear, a gusset on the side there, if you like I, wasn’t going to user with a bottle.
I was just going to use the the reservoir so and here, for example, to give you an idea of size, I’ve got in here and I. Think I’ve got enough, so yeah and so I can pray inside just to see us yeah decent-sized pork. So that’s on the rate side when you’re weird enough. So when somebody mesh pocket is that poker here no I’d show you my for Nana but I’m using before and I’ve got a Hawaii p20 me pro hunk, it’s cold, so it’s a fairly big phone and it does fatten here. So this is like a dual access pocket, so you can access it from there or and that’s looks more kryptonite where this just cuz I’m using my phone officer or here and then it can flap down.
So when you’re running or cycling, you’ve got our 1g pocket in here, which muffle and doesn’t fan, but pan Keys. Do it, and so I need took my phone and the main back, which it’s got, let all them Said’s, so that it doesn’t fall straight. Oh you know it does send me a quick snug and I had gins on um yeah. It was good and then again, oh he’s a poker which is a nice touch. Just for maybe a bank card keys, whoever its usual Camelbak material has nicely made the quality. It does feel good, doesn’t stop as far as I can tell back in forsaken, and if you want to try running with that, yeah yeah, you know you’ll know yourself, you just really have any thorns or anything so just best avoid the mesh I’ve never had a camel back with us mesh before I.
Guess that would stand the test. A time has been probably tried and tested. The seeds are structurally that hasn’t hasn’t stretch here, such as more design to be breathable, lightweight and so I don’t have any issues is nicely stashed. You know if we will meet there’s. No any issues. Very nice tension, not anything this. It looks great good and there’s the two loops here, we’re clear for the straw and the other look there for the straw from the included pack. It came with it just gonna strain.
It came with the the reservoir coming out. The left shoulder because it’s looked here and there’s up stalks there. You know I’m right-handed, so just personal preference I just brought our deaths aid. So, although it’s not cast Dorper a bludger, a nothing for it to go through I was fine. With that, the confusion thing is an S is one of two one of three grapes, the the the the me one of the main ones as these two claps here. So these will be on your right chest as these clips here designed to hold the straw in place.
Now that’s fine, but when your sake, when some magnetic would be about more convenient, I’ve seen another ones and the claps are about further it getting it out, I didn’t take. We awake them and the fact of the two seems about over cow as well, and so yeah I wasn’t too sold on the whole clapping and keeping the horse out the way saturation fast. When I was bringing over my right shoulder yeah, there’s nothing for it to cry porn on magnetically catch on either. So these are on the left and in my eyes, redundant.
So yeah I didn’t like that. The main issue that I’ve got with us as to issue as well as that the actual reservoir itself no I’d met. That’s maybe a for a batch, but, as I said, I’ve had camel banks before well from where with the brand, and you need to be careful when you’re, you know screw the animations on the perfect delivery thread it comes with us handle here which mmm again, it will be tried and tested by. Just thinking about flumsy, to be honest and it leaked, is the wall in the shore of it, I felt it up and not fully I.
Admittedly, I fooled up fold it up sorry about halfway. It’s a 1 5 years of why I put maybe about enough for a decent Seiko. I, know that and all I normally go through about 500ml, so I put half a banana and a SATA on my wok top again, a definitely made sure it was sealed here. Sat on my wok top go out the bag raid. They got a few other things ready and I came back, and it was really where, underneath that old ride that, when I felt up so I knew it wasn’t weight to that extent and so I gave it the benefit.
Don’t I went out with that interview, honest with him. A bike was talking yeah, it was not pleasant and I was checking this because I’ve not had this on a reservoir before so that pops, om2 hello, ease of cleaning and I think if you’re racing as we’re, what helps for quick changeover I’m, not I, don’t know if that’s where the week was coming from um, but it could be here, one of the places um or a for a fame. You know gap and it’s somewhere as I see it will be rear and it will be I fall.
I fall just probably unique to me, but certainly I wasn’t sold honest and capable of holding water. To be honest, which is I mean thing about a bladder the bait valve is, is the traditional camel back again this um tape of locking mechanisms new since the one that I’ve had before but good floor? Some one of the balls I like that. No issues there at all so again, I’m actually going to be trying to return us back to heat up water. I got it for about 70 pounds but as I say, I’m, gonna, try and Ratana, because I’m not sold on this bladder and again and again, it’s a Manor thing, but that tag that toggle is to take comfortable, get room dear and I, just think through tame that may snap, with the force required to get it through there and if that was like half a centimeter longer or something we just buy back more comfortable and it wouldn’t take away the effect of it.
Secure ordinate. So as I say between that that the strange clutch system in the front which again it’s a personal preference, um I, didn’t like again even if he dead, bring it over the left, shoulder sorry rate, shoulder yeah rain, sugar, sorry and that to clapper, and these two clips to keep her hood, bring it Oh. Everything just was quite about yeah pian. As I see I used this apron and I used it runnin runnin no I wasn’t sold on. It was my first time using a hydration pack running and I didn’t like the water jumping up and down, but then later because it was talking my back and the fact that the war are cool and the tube if it was fairly cool, but all in the bank.
It was absolutely worse than the heats up the war um. So again, it’s not designed for runnin, but even on the bike. The reservoir was getting warm because there’s no insulation by guess has because there’s designed to be lightweight so and somebody if you’re looking for if it was slate with cheaper I, would have Croix character back in. It was about a 70 pounds mark and so I. Try not fit for purpose for m14 and with a sleek I was just about underwhelmed by a few ache. I think this storage is about rank for that D.
On the tree ocean we’ve got four cat, the others I say for a waterproof, the odd bat cat and snacks and stuff you could squeeze about water near easy as well, and that that poor cat there will be limited. Obviously, with the the hydration pack fill. We filled up, we got, doesn’t Duke’s I just didn’t want it leaking all over me, but so yeah, that’s my opinion anyway, and hopefully of some use to you as I, say it’s probably just a one-off with the leak in here, and so, if you do get one, it doesn’t leak which I’m sure you won’t and as a good pack and just with small nickels um.
But you can’t please everyone. So that’s why I thought. Just let you see it Thanks.
Let’s face it, not every ride happens the way we want it to. Your bike can break, the weather can change, and the trail may not be as well-marked as you’d like it to be. The Raptor 10 is specifically designed with these challenges in mind. A premium pack that carries it all without weighing you down, the Raptor features winged shoulder straps that contour to the shape you’re in when you reach for your handlebars—delivering superior stability even when the trail turns super techy. AirScape suspension evenly distributes your load while permitting dynamic range of motion, and a mesh-covered foam backpanel leaves you well ventilated. An included 2.5-liter reservoir slides into its own dedicated compartment for fill-up simplicity, and another devoted space at the base of the pack houses a Tool Roll for your mini-pump, tire lever, hex keys, and more.

For cycling or fast and light day hikes, the Osprey Raptor 10 has an array of features that make it the perfect trail, companion included with the Raptor, is a 3 liter Osprey reservoir in a dedicated externally accessible pocket. The reservoir is held securely in place, which reduces the sloshing effect normally associated with reservoirs. A molded foam back panel provides a contoured and comfortable fit and the padded bio stretch harness and hip belt mimics your shape and movement during activity, so they don’t chase as much as some other packs.
The pack has got a lot of organizational pockets and it even comes with a zippered lower compartment that is dedicated to storing a removable, roll-up tool, pouch for your bike tools and accessories. Let’s take a closer look at the Osprey raptor 10. This pack is built with a 70 d by 100 D nylon material, so it is very lightweight, abrasion, resistant and durable.
It’s got a lot of features that make it great for cycling and fast and light hiking, one of those being the suspension system. So, on the back side of this pack, we’ve got osprey’s airscape suspension system. It is a very lightweight version of the suspension system, so it is very flexible and it kind of molds to the shape of the user. The back panel does have an elevated foam section and it’s kind of a ridged foam here with mesh on top, so it does provide some airflow and breathability, and you’ve got a channel down the middle that splits off toward the bottom.
To give you some extra airflow, it is kind of frameless, so it doesn’t really have any aluminum or any real structure here. So it is very flexible and contours. Well, the Bayeux stretch, harness and hip belt are really comfortable, unlight weight and they kind of stretch to form to the user as well. So with the shoulder straps, you do have some light padding behind that airy mesh and it is perforated.
So you get a lot of breathability with that material. It’s got some soft padding on the backside to really rest nicely against the chest and shoulders in the hip belt. It is a very minimal hip belt. It’s not really got a lot of padding, but there is enough mesh down. There provide ample breathability and support where you need it just to keep the thing in place, so it’s not moving around as you’re riding or as you’re hiking.
You do have some stretchy hip belt pockets down there as well. This is the perfect place for gels or energy foods. If you need those, while you’re out on the bike, really easy to access those pockets quickly, you do have a very low-profile hip belt on the pack as well. So it’s going to provide that structure and stability where you need it down low, just help.
Keep the pack in place while you’re moving the big feature with the Osprey rafter 10 is the included hydration reservoir, so Osprey includes their hydraulics reservoir. It’s a hydro pack built reservoir, so it is a really nice easy to use reservoir. You’ve got an ergonomic bite valve. You can kind of move that to where you need it, and it actually has a magnetic attachment that Clips right to the front of the pack, so it keeps it in place while you’re riding it’s nice and secure, and it just keeps your hose where you need it prevents it from dangling all around in front of you.
It is routed up through the shoulder, strap and goes right into a dedicated, hydration pocket. So it’s easy to access easy to take out and refill. You can just simply kind of roll that back unclip it and access your hydration reservoir. So it’s right in there, like I, said hydro pack, built reservoir, really easy to access kind of. Has that zip closure at the top and just as simple and sturdy it’s a really nice included benefit with the Raptor pack and just having that dedicated pocket makes it much easier to get to that piece and take care of all that business on the front of the pack.
We do have a few organizational features, so you do have space to put extra gear, whether that’s additional layers tools, whatever you need for your ride or your hike. You can store that in this pack, you’ve got a single panel loading opening on the front just under this really durable haul handle so that panel style opening is going to give you your main access, it’s about 10, liters of overall capacity, so the majority of it is in that big pocket.
Just in front of that, you have a zippered, slash pocket, it’s a pretty small pocket. It have kind of an embossed material on the inside. So it’s great for sunglasses or items that you don’t want to get scratched and inside that pocket. There is another pocket, that’s your organizational pocket! You can throw things in there like keys or other items. You do have a key clip for that, but it’s a little bit of a more secure pocket on the inside of that smaller pocket on the front.
We’ve also got Ospreys lid lock helmet attachment. So you can easily put a vented helmet on the outside of this pack. Just by pulling that through one of the vents kind of letting it go, it locked it down in place really nice feature for when you’re off the bike. If you’re heading into a store you’re in town, it’s a great additional bonus on the front. We’ve got a stretch mesh pocket, so you can throw a light weight windbreaker in there.
If you need to, if you need to put a bike lock in there, I’m sure it would fit as well really nice stretchy pocket on the front and at the bottom of this pack, you’ve actually got a pretty cool feature. Osprey includes a tool pouch so down at the base of the pack. You’ve got an included and removable tool. Pouch. So right in the bottom. You’ve got your tools.
You can make the changes to your bike as you need to if you kind of pop your chain, if you need to change a tire tube, you can do so. You can add those tools here. It’s a pretty sizable pocket for those items, so just makes things a lot easier, while you’re out on the trail, you’ve also got a blinker light attachment. So, if you’re riding in an urban area- and you need to be seen, you’ve got that benefit there- there are reflective hits throughout the entire pack, so very highly reflective pack for riding at night or in those low-light conditions.
Overall, it’s a very light weight pack, it’s very durable, very comfortable, it’s great for those mountain bikers or those cyclists who are riding all day every day or those light and fast day, hikers who just want a small hydration pack for their daily hiking. It’s the Osprey raptor 10, thanks for watching. Really cool mountain biking, hydration pack, that’s built to hold all of your gear I, could see this pack being perfect for the bike packers, who are trying to go lightweight but still be comfortable while they ride. This pack is also flexible and versatile enough to be your daily trail riding pack, the Raptors built on osprey’s airscape suspension system and sits comfortably next to your body.
This foam frame sheet allows the pack to mimic your body’s movement so that it can move with you. As you tear down the trail. There is soft breathable mesh and die cut foam to enhance the ventilation. The shoulder straps have rolled soft edges, so the pack can stay comfy. Even when you’ve got it loaded up. It includes a two and a half liter hydraulics, LT reservoir. These reservoirs are made by Hydra pack, so they’re Baumer and really easy to use.
There is a direct, zip access area for the reservoir and a hose path for easy loading and unloading. The sternum strap has a magnet which clicks right to the bite valve. The main compartment is large enough to house all of your goodies. There’s also some pocketing for organization on the inside. The packs got a really nice removable, roll-up tool pouch, which makes it much easier for on trail maintenance.
There is a lid lock, helmet attachment point for when you’re off the bike. If you use a full face, helmet the side, compression, straps double as a helmet holder as well, there’s a large stretch, mesh front pocket for a windbreaker or something else. It’s also got side stretch pockets for anything you want to keep outside of the main bag. The pack also has a scratch free pocket, which is great for sunglasses.
There is also another zippered stash pocket on the front panel. Plenty of organization can be found on the raptor. Great deals and trail knowledge we’re the gear specialists at backcountry, edge, awesome gear, amazing service, see you on the trail.
The Osprey Raptor 6 is loaded with features as a hydration pack as a day. Hiking pack also is a mountain biking pack, it’s one of my favorite packs that snag before I, head out on the trail for the day. So let’s take a look at some of the stuff. That’s in it here. First off and foremost, we’ve got the Osprey bike bike valve here, I’m off of there, a hydraulics, hydration bladder, will pull that out here and take a look at it, but it does have this nice magnetic attachment right here in the sternum strap, which is a which is great, holds everything right in place.
It’s got a nice waistband here, I also got some stretch, pockets right back on the side. If you trail run or ride with this pack, you can tuck a gel down in there. Shoulder straps are lightly padded, but also ventilated and turn one inside out. Here. Let’s you see that you can see the cuts in the foam that allow that to breathe while staying just a slight bit stretchy and I’m really comfortable, so in the top pocket on the rafter. Six is really where the bladder goes. This is Ospreys hydroformed bladder.
This is a two liter that comes in the the raptor six I. Don’t have any water in this one right now, when you do this locks down into the pack, the pack actually applies a little bit of pressure to the bladder when you close it up and- and you don’t have to pull on the right valve nearly as hard with your mouth to get water out of it. It’s a really nice system. We’ve got a lid lock here. I’ll show that in just a second but I’ve got a nice stretch pocket on the front. This is reflective.
So if you do run with this pack, you you’ll be seen at dusk, the stretch pockets great for stashing, something like a jacket, a little vest action, and then we have a front pocket, got some storage behind that stretched pocket. It’s great for things that you take on the trail like a headlamp I’ve got a clip for your keys, so you don’t lose them. I, usually tuck my wallet down inside my pack. That way, it’s protected and I know where it’s at and it’s also a protected pocket right up top here, it’s great for cell phone GPS, whatever it is that you carrying last but not least, let’s get right back to that lid lock.
This is a really neat feature on this pack makes it great for mountain biking or transitioning from mountain biking to hiking. You got this kind of toggle on an elastic cord pop your helmet right on the front, pull it out through one of the openings and lock your helmet right on and it stays put doesn’t bounce around on you. It makes it really nice for a day on the trail and your bike or hiking.
Hi Curtis here with leek and Craig, came today. I want to show you a little review about this nice awesome pack. They wrapped their tin, perfect for mountain biking, perfect for hiking, it’s great size for us not too thick, not your small and essentially what I use my wife uses during the winter and fall months, because this little bigger allows you to put a little more layers when you want to take them off, I’m, a pack and so forth. First of all, it has it’s a nice cinching piece here.
It allows you to quickly open up and put the water inside I do like this over camelbacks version, because it is much easier to put anything refrigerator for the pouring of water in instead of getting a big mess and everything bouncing right out of the bag allows you to easily push up the air. So you don’t have a big old bulky water pack in your pack. You slip it on and there you go. The bite valve is really nice. Yes, because this is not leaked on me yet, and so that’s just a bite down on it and it opens it up better a bite valve I think, but the lock locking mechanism is a little hard to do to one hand it’s these.
Are it now, but it’s usually pretty hard to do if you’re on the trail biking and to get that done so by them that we just leave it open. It does not leak at all. This have a nice bike, helmet you’re, not riding or whatever you can easily put your bike helmet on here and if I say, if you’re, walking or hiking or just want to have your your helmet on your pack looks really cool too. That’s a nice puck on the outside. Here you can keep your buff your gloves or whatever in here.
First it here, nice, thin, glass, holder, nice pad for the end that keeps everything from being scratched, put your goggles or glasses in there. Your second apartment is nice and spacious. You put your your outer layers in the back catch per se, get here and nice air gauge here lots of space. You can put your phone right here, keep it nice and safe. The back is really nice. It’s very air friendly, keeps you nice and cool different. It’s like so cute back or anything great support on that.
You also really like this tool. Pouch this full patches record you easily unzip it here’s the bottom, the pack, so you don’t have to dig through the entire pack to get you your stuff. Everything is right here, real quick! You can get your tools and nice rollout kit here. You can have multiple tools in here to do a much larger repair to our bike or whatever then I’ll zips up at the bottom. That’s the Osprey Raptor Tim! Alright, thanks for watching.
What’s up, everyone welcome to the bike in Mike’s show today, I will be reviewing an osprey Raptor 14 hydration pack that I purchased tamari I not long ago. It is going to replace a Camelback mule that I had been using since around 2003. This thing had been through hell and back, and if it could talk the stories it could tell about, the epic rides that it had been on I almost hate to retire this relic, because it served me well for many years at this time.
I would declare that I am NOT a paid advertiser for Osprey or REI co-op I wasn’t really looking to replace the mule until I attended dirt Festa Raystown Lake. There I spoke to an osprey representative about the new technology that they put into the Raptor 14, which pretty much sold me on it. The biggest selling point is that Osprey has a lifetime warranty on all of their products. Even if the damage is from abuse. He even told me that if they cannot repair it properly, that they will give me a brand new pack free of charge, they were completely sold out of these packs.
At the shows, so I ordered one from REI as soon as I got home. I got a pretty good deal on it, paying roughly a hundred and twelve bucks as they were, having their Memorial Day Sale I, checked Ospreys website and the MSRP is a hundred and fifty bucks on this pack. I cannot guarantee what the current price will be, but I will post links for a few vendors in the description below when the pack arrived. I could not believe how many pockets this thing actually has, even after using the pack for a couple weeks, I realized that there were pockets that I missed in the filming of this video.
If you have something that you cannot find a place to stick it in this pack, it probably doesn’t belong in it and you could just stick it well. I, especially like the pockets on the waist, strap on the right side. I carry my portable hand, chainsaw, which I will review in a later video. So it is easy to get to if I should encounter a tree dropped across one of my trails on the left side. I usually carry my spare GoPro batteries. The bottom chamber of this pack was set up to carry tools.
Most of my filled tools fit and a little water-resistant pouch that I bought from the folks at dirt rag magazine the included tool. Roll holds the spots very nicely. The lid lock system is also a nice feature to hold your helmet, while walking around events or whatever other non helmet wearing needs. Come your way. The claim that it will hold a full face helmet as well, by utilizing some side straps, although I do not own a full face helmet to confirm or deny this, the two and a half liter reservoir seems to be an industry standard when it comes to larger hydration packs.
If my memory serves me, correct I believe that my Camelback had a three liter reservoir I know the size of your bladder doesn’t really mean everything, but on a hot, humid, 90 degree + day, I want to carry all the water that I can with me. I thought that the zipper access was a nice detail for easy reservoir removal. The magnetic bite valve was not such a big hit with me because, as far as I know, the magnet on the sternum strap can only go on the left side, which puts the hose directly across my gopro chest.
Mount I also had to remove the magnet for two reasons: one the magnet is hardened heavy and swings around as I am shredding trails and I figured that when hitting the right obstacle, it could crack the lens on my GoPro, the second reason being that it is a magnet and a pretty strong one at that. I am not 100% sure whether or not it could erase an SD card if it hits the right spot on the camera, but I have removed the magnet from mine. I do think the magnetic buckle and the sternum strap is pretty rad, though now, let’s talk about what I like and don’t like about the Osprey raptor 14, some of the key features of a pack that I really liked is that the materials seem to be of top quality.
The straps in the back panel are nicely ventilated, yet they still offer some protection for your back. If you should happen to loop over on a wheelie or such the zippered hip belt, pockets are convenient and nice to have the roll-up tool. Pouch keeps my tools handy and organized the shoulder. Straps and back panel are very breathable compared to my old pack, and these packs come in three different, colors, red, green and black. Lastly, I think that the lifetime warranty is pretty kick-ass okay, so here’s a couple things that I don’t like about the Raptor 14 Osprey needs to add a few more inches to the sternum.
Strap I like that. There is a little elastic in the strap, but I’m, not that big of a guy and the strap is pretty snug at its max setting on me. I am not fond of the magnet on the hose swinging and bouncing around where it can hit the lens on my GoPro in conclusion. Would I recommend this pack hell yeah, there’s a period of breaking yourself into it, but give it a chance, get it down to fit you, and it should serve you quite well, so how many of you use a raptor 14? What do you like or dislike about it? You use another brand that you like better.
Please tell me in the comments below I’d like to hear about it. If you find this video informative, please subscribe if you haven’t already click the bell to get notified for future. Thousands of gallons of sweat, I’m gonna, retire, my camel back Blowfish well, I guess: semi-retire, it’s a pretty big bag, so it holds a lot of stuff and I’m sure it’ll come in handy once again, but I’ve got some other plans for my my bag in my gear that I want to carry so I’ve got this drone that I want to be able to take on longer rides and I needed a bag that had some clips to be able to do that. So I looked at a bunch of different bags and the Osprey 14 liter Raptor looks like it fit the bill and I just got it.
So, let’s check it out a little bit of a new bag. Smell I actually want to see. If this helmet hook works, okay, yeah I, guess that’s a decent feel like I’m. Just gonna destroy my helmet. If I let this thing go in here, all right. Never use that again, probably really like this big toe handle right here. It’s got this little mesh here to try to let your back air out but definitely not as pronounced as some of the other hydration packs.
I’ve seen the Dakine bag really has a nice hard line right here. So you know air is going to flow through this and not so much so. We’ve got the hydration hose that is magnetized to this clip in the middle here and that’s going to be a problem, because, if you’ve watched my videos, I always have my my GoPro mounted on my chest. So hmm I’m gonna have to figure this out how I’m going to be able to mount my GoPro on my chest and then still have this hydration tube, not flopping around and crazy.
The whole time pretty cool pocket right here for various gear cell phone sunglasses, that kind of stuff- and this is how you can tell it’s- a 2016 bag- just look at the pictures of the product. You can see this. It’s got this this design on the the waist bolster I, guess you would call it that the earlier models have kind of a more bird wing design right there. So one of the really cool features about this bag is it has a tool roll in here, and this is actually neat.
It’s kind of got it like a little lock to keep the zipper from coming. Undone so open that up this little tool. Roll in here can roll. It out have your tools, which is great, because I’ve got various things that clack around and just kind of I can’t find a good spot for them inside my other Camelback, but here they’ll be rolled up tight like my little co2 cartridges that are metal, that kind of clink around I feel, like there’ll, be a lot more stable inside this thing it comes out if you need it to take it with you somewhere else or if you’re, just on the trail, and you want to use it separately, stuff sack here for various things you want to put in and then kind of another bigger area here and I guess you could put your helmet in this section.
– I’ve seen that seen people doing that as well. Just really getting this very stretched out and stuffing it in right there or your jacket after you get hot on your ride, stuff it right in yeah. This lime green, is a quite vibrant plenty of room. It’s got a couple side: pockets here for keeping stuff up right. That was kind of one of the problems with my Camelback was I, had my pump my hand pump in my bag and it ended up laying down flat and then started wearing a hole in my bag.
So in here you could put the hand pump in vertically, and hopefully it won’t wear a hole from that position. Okay, so to open up the hydration pack and actually start by the hose and come up that way. Three liters 100 ounces. That’s a good amount of water to be able to bring I’ve gone through on some big rides all hundred ounces before and was very thankful I had it all there. This doesn’t feel right, I feel like I’m, breaking it yeah.
Okay, this is a nice design. My Camelback started leaking on me recently and I had to mess with like the o-ring and all that stuff to keep it watertight and I. Think this is a better design fold over not have to worry about it. One of the reviews I read on the previous year, was that their whole system turned yellow. After not much time so we’re going to see if that actually happens to this hydration pack or not I’ll, let you guys know in more long-term review.
This is just the first look to show what kind of features it has you know. One thing I found about my Camelback is that I never had any kind of problem with a mold or it being dirty on bill. I started using Gatorade in my hydration pack, so I would just always use water, always use water, wash it out rinse it out even leave the water in there and would never have any problems, but once I started using some Gatorade I think that sugar kind of mold and stuff feeds off of that- and there was I I- was eight I, got a few black spots and stuff in my tube and was able to wash it all out and be good, but I feel like you kind of almost have to keep it pure water.
But then you know you you’re on the trail and you’re only drinking water, you need electrolytes as well. So so it’s a balance between being really anal about cleaning it or just throwing water in there and not having to worry about it. Hmm, okay! So maybe this is a decent solution here without kinking the coat the hose I kind of pushed it down in there a little more and just going to see if that’ll kind of there stay there be out of the way, I might actually be cutting these off to keep these out of the way of the GoPro when I’m filming and writing alright I’m digging the bag.
So far. If you want to check it out, I got a link to the the bag on Amazon down below a pretty pretty nice piece of gear, we’ll actually see how it holds up the test of time, because I’m going to be riding with it pretty much all summer. If, if it does, what I need it to do so, I’ll be able to have a nice nice review in a few months here and after I’ve poured some sweat into this thing and put it through its paces.
Thanks for watching you guys, I’ll see out on the trail.
What’s up youtubers so today we’re going Osprey, hydration packs, so we’ve got a raptor 10 and a raven 14 to have a look through to this face fear he’s in a hers, although they are unisex type packs. These are brand new. This would be almost an out of the box on a review as well, because we haven’t used them as yet so we’ll go through the features and then we’ll hit the trail and go try them out for real.
Let’s go check them out alright, so we start with the Raptor tent. This is going to be my pack, so we’re large you’re going to use this for our mountain biking and just carrying the water. Well, they use it for better day hiking as well. Fresh out of the bag. Obviously super all our tags attached, the pack itself, 10 liters in size, there’s a three liter water bladder inside and it’s made out of kind of durable kind of 9 on each type material.
That sounds pretty rugged at the front here, so we’ve got a little pocket here. That’s got this kind of stretchy material here that Osprey I’m kind of known for just on the front in your shopping, whatever you want in this pocket. Let me see so it’s just a little padded economy area here you might want to shove in your sunglasses or the candies or just stuff, to protect anything that might get scratched, and then you slide that with another little pocket little key hanger in there.
That’s a nice little compartment there just to put away any things you don’t need on the ride. The main pocket is pretty flashy green on the color. So again, we’ve got another little stretchy pocket here see little compartments. You can see it’s quite a deep size kind of area. Speaking about your food clothing down the bottom here, I got this really nice little feature use a little tool, storage area, so it’s secured here by this little flexible kind of strap roll it out.
You got all these little compartments in here that you can put your little multi tools, spiritual puncture, repair kits, and this itself it’s actually removable. So if you don’t want it to remove it’s quite a handy little feature there, you can just gonna roll up secure it. That’s not going to make any rattling noises, so the base material and it’s quite kind of sturdy kind of nylon.
So it will take a bit of a battering now on the back of the pack at the shoulder, strap tear. So it’s just a thin kind of foam material. That’s about these little holes up and down both sides just to help with the air circulation on the sternum strap. So these are fully adjustable, so you can move them up and down both sides just to get them positioned in the right spot, for your comfort and on the sternum, strap you’ll find this little magnetic kind of latch which holds your hydration hose securely.
So that’s not going to be flattened about getting in the way, so it’ll be fixed in one position. So when you need that quick drink, you know where to reach for it down the bottom. Here, yeah we’ve got more pockets made out of this stretchy type material that cost us across the break on a pocket either side of the hip, sticky little power, gels energy bars in there for quick, quick, easy access on the side.
Here, we’ve got these little little cinching belt. So if you’ve got a lot of stuff in your pack, you can kind of open it or if you don’t have that much, you can just squeeze them down just to keep everything’s nice and tight and then the foam backing itself. So it’s nice kind of molded material covered by this protective mesh just to allow the healthy air to circulate.
Now the actual bladder itself zipper it kind of goes almost diagonally across the bag. That’s a three liter bladder now when you come to fill your bladder up for the first time, locking- and you might ask yourself well how do I get the water inputs? This is all completely sealed, so just for that first time it’s actually quite stiff, but you just gotta peel. It gently back up the access to the bladder.
Then, when you’re finished fold it back down, get your locking mechanism slide it back on. It becomes a couple of other features wrap to 10, so it’s sturdy little grab handle here at the top made out of a pretty durable type. Material I’ve got one of the key features here, which is called the lead lock. So it’s secured with this little bungee type cord and the idea being.
Is you take this little contraption here and your trusty element you feed that through and it secures your helmet to the pack. So if you need to get off the bike or go somewhere we’re not wearing your helmet, you can attach it here down the bottom here and down the bottom here this little book, just a foggy zipper in place for the two compartments that doesn’t come, undone so zips themselves.
You can stick your fingers through. So if you’ve got your mountain bike and gloves on it’s still easy to to access. So all in all, it seems like quite a functional kind of well-thought-through hydration take on a pack. That’s the Osprey Raptor team, we’ll just take a quick look at the the Raven 14. So this is actually a women’s pack, though I see no reason why a guy can’t can’t lose this one either.
So it’s 14 liter as opposed to the Raven 10, and that additional four liter capacity largely comes from this section here at the front where you can open up so I pocket that stretchy material, so again, as with the Raven tier and you’ve got the same kind of pockets where you’ve got this little front compartment. The keys I mean Sony’s this larger kind of pack in the middle bulky items here, your jackets and whatnot and you’ve also got the three liter bladder.
So we’ve actually got three liters of water in this particular kimono. Just so you can see how bulky it is with the order. So you can see there. That’s still reasonable sight kind of size, smaller size. We’ve fooled three leaders so again, you’ve got your lid lock got your sturdy. Conic grab handle all sorts of attachments, zippers and cinch. That’s pretty much the same pack, which is slightly larger.
Now what we’ve? Actually just noticed while filming this is the the little compose here, it does have a tendency to leak, so just something to be mindful of not drastic but yeah filming it again. It’s got that little magnetic latch just to keep it out of the way, while you’re riding today guy that’s the raven 14 with the Raptor 10. Let’s seem like pretty functional kind of hydration packs or hiking packs.
So let’s go hit the trail and so yeah like before. So how does the packs before we’ve just done a freaking easy for? Take a look down back on the northeast rail trail, northeast Tasmania? No, you don’t know Scottsdale area and the packs have performed quite well very comfortable once you get them adjusted shoulders. Chest and hips notice on your back. I’ve got two liters I’m a comfort point of view, they’re fantastic, so we haven’t given them the real workout on a proper mountain bike trail, but you just sense that they would be quite comfortable to be on your back all day.
The magnets work. Well, it’s easy to take on and off it doesn’t come off on the tone board sets. There is a bit of a plasticy Turner taste with the water juice, so we got asked from wiggle online and about $130 each Australian dollars investment from this one ride quite impressed. So if in the market for water, bladders hydration packs check out the Osprey rap 210 and Raven 14.
Designed with hard-charging mountain bikers in mind, it has pockets for all the layers, tools and food. You need on a long ride. An included reservoir will keep you hydrated. While on the move, the pack has a peripheral light wire frame for support, an attention mesh air speed back panel to provide superior ventilation. The shoulder, straps and hip belt use soft breathable spacer mesh and die cut foam for ventilation, which is especially useful when you’re working hard on the trail indiana conditions.
The wing like shoulder straps of this pack are designed by Osprey to fit the natural curve of your body when you’re reaching forward for your handlebars. This is a panel opener accessed by a large zipper along the top of the pack inside there’s over 1 200 cubic inches or 20 litres of storage space. That includes a dedicated hydration compartment with the included Osprey hydraulics LT 2 5 litre reservoir.
The sternum strap has a magnetic attachment to keep your bite valve from flapping around. You can use a zippered tool organization pocket to hold all the stuff necessary to fix a flat or repair a broken chain on the exterior of the pack. There’s a large stretchy mesh pocket for layers and other quick access, stuff, hip belt pockets. Allow you to store small stuff like energy bars and gels close at hand a scratch free heat, embossed, zippered, slash pocket, serves as a safe place for glasses and phones.
There’s a blinker light attachment for low light situations when you’re on a road or when you’re backcountry riding partners need to see you dual stretch: mesh side, pockets, keep bottles at the ready upper and lower compression straps snug down the packs contents. So they will sit closer to your body and bounce less. The pack has an integrated rain cover, so you’ll never have to be caught in nasty weather without it.
Osprey made this one with high visibility fabric, so you can still be seen in a poor when you’re, not riding the easy-to-use lid lock system will carry your helmet while you seek shade or coffee. This pack has a lot of specific features for those riding on mountain and slick rock trails, including especially designed shoulder straps a helmet, carry a tool pocket and an included hydration reservoir.

Hi, I’m christopher from performance bicycle, and this is the osprey raptor 10 hydration pack, the Osprey raptor 10 features 5 very large pockets. Here, start at the top with the pocket. That’s scratch proof, so you can put your camera in there, your phone and it won’t be damaged during the ride. Let me move on to the large second pocket. That’s divided on the inside, so you can keep your tools and your tubes and your nutrition all separated in there and organized on the outside.
You have some easy access side, zip pockets with a little key clip in here and all the way on the outside. You got a little stuff pocket where you can stick your jacket during the ride or your gear, as well as a place to clip your blinky light. Now. Osprey has got a couple: fun features that set it apart from other hydration packs on the market. The first one I want to address is their their helmet lock with this device. You can stick it up through the vents in your helmet and it holds the helmet to the outside of your pack, while you’re not riding.
It’s super convenient on the front here. You’ve got their their airscape back panel, which allows for ample airflow of your back, so the pack doesn’t get all sweaty you’ve got wide waist straps which provide for extremely secure attachment to your body, while you’re riding, as well as padded, shoulder straps, which are adjustable in the back. So you can shift the weight of the pack on the fly now under these straps hides hospitals, probably biggest feature, which is, of course their hydroformed reservoir, and the osprey bladder has a very large screw top opening.
So it’s easy to fill easy to put ice into and easy to clean. It’s got a it’s got a rigid back on the bladder as well, so that that keeps the water balanced instead of letting the water pool all at the bottom of the reservoir, and then it has their air bite valve, which is an extremely good high flow bite valve, which uses a magnet to hold itself onto the your chest, strap right there. So you always know where it is. If you’re looking for a full-featured hydration pack with everything, you need look no further than the osprey raptor 10 available at performance, bicycle.
