Vortex® Diamondback™ Tactical FFP Riflescope

  • First-focal-plane EBR-2C reticle
  • Tall, exposed tactical turrets
  • Zero-reset feature
  • Fully multicoated lenses
  • XD lens elements

Find the Vortex Optic that is right for you.

The Vortex Diamondback Tactical FFP Riflescope utilizes a first-focal-plane reticle, a feature ordinarily reserved for four-figure-priced optics. The FFP reticle allows full use of the EBR-2C reticle for range estimation, holdover or windage correction at any magnification power within the zoom range. A 30mm main tube and tall, exposed tactical turrets provide a broad range for dialing in shots. Zero-reset feature gets you back to original zero quickly and consistently after a long shot. Side parallax focus adjusts from 20 yds. to infinity. XD lens elements with full multicoating maximize clarity and brightness. Waterproof and fogproof.

You Alright guys well I’m back today with the new vortex 6 224 by 50 diamondback. Tactical first focal plane rifle scope. And that is a mouthful, but we’re gonna break this scope down why you would want to buy something like this in the price category of this optic a lot of times vortex really does cover the wide variety of prices anywhere from a. A Hundred dollar scope all the way up to a two thousand dollar scope so I’m going to explain why something like this is a great option for that mid grade ar-15. That you want to stretch out in the distance but you don’t have a thousand dollars to drop on a scope i want to give a huge shout out to optics planet for sending the scope out to the channel for us to try out these guys are a huge supporter of the channel always getting us the latest and greatest high value and budget options, and they also have that coupon code 704 tactical for 5% off. Of any optics planet order also when you’re going on their website look around for their special offers or deals look for the free shipping options and then even try to include my code if you have any problems give them a call they’ll be more than happy to help you out now the reason why i like this scope is that this particular version is the sixth of 24 comes in at about the $400 price point right now it’s on sale. For 399 then with that coupon code 704. Tactical you can save even more money now the rings I’m using on this optic are some utg amazon rings i really wanted to try these out because i get a lot of questions about like cheaper. Rings and normally i try to use a little bit nicer mounts with nicer op tips I’m happy to say that these utg ones have been holding 0 perfectly and so has the. Scope we’ll talk about more of the performance in a minute now vortex again offers some cheaper options than this. But this option right here gives you a lot of the features of their higher-end scopes but not at that higher-end price so what are some of the differences and why would you want to spend more on an optic and a lot of times that has to do with how far you shoot are you really. Gonna be shooting a thousand yards often are you gonna be shooting at twilight and dusk because light transmission and glass clarity at a distance is key when you’re buying one of those thousand dollar optics and sometimes you can’t skimp if you’re gonna be shooting a thousand yards and beyond and you’re going shooting at twilight and dust scenarios very often and you might have to pony up the cash but if you’re shooting at a thousand yards and in and you’re predominantly gonna be shooting in the daytime something like this is gonna. Really stretch you far out and make. Those long-range hits with an impressive reticle and overall setup but at that. Four hundred dollar price point a lot of people say you want to spend as much on your glass as your rifle and sometimes that’s really hard to do so this four. A Hundred dollar price is generally the price of a very budget ar-15 or about half the price of a very expensive ar-15. To start off i want to talk about the fact that this is a thirty millimeter tube and a fifty millimeter objective lens which will help gather light a little bit better than those smaller scopes allowing you to again extend that. Range of shooting into the twilight hours or into the daybreak hours which. Is perfect for those hunters also the. Fact that this is a first focal plane scope being the fact that it’s a first focal plane scope the reticle itself zooms in and out as you zoom in and out allowing you to range effectively at all. Different distances the reticle on this as you can see in the intro and I’ll try to roll over now has a ton of hash marks. And dots to estimate wind age and elevation now this was a little bit blurry but you can kind of see what I’m getting at the reticle option itself comes two different options you can get. Either the moa or the mrad i tend to select the moa because in my opinion. It’s a little bit easier to understand and I’m shooting at a little bit closer distances again five six hundred yards max so most of the time i can’t even stretch out that far but. Something like this allows you to range effectively especially if you understand. The bullet drop that you’re shooting for your particular load that moa marks and. Windage l elevation adjustments all built into the reticle system allows you to not tinker with or fiddle with the turrets to make accurate shots which is. Pretty cool if you want to make those range estimations and shots quickly some. Other quick features i want to talk about that this one has and is lacking is the fact that this does not have an illuminated reticle i find an illuminated reticle is really important when you’re making night shots or twilight shots or even just kind of dusk. Shots so this one does not have that again the more expensive models the $800. Version of this the thousand-dollar version of these vortexes they do have some of those options so that’s something you sacrifice and this one also has the parallax adjustment on the side which i think is a huge plus you don’t have to reach all the way to the front of your optic to adjust that parallax you can simply stay on target and adjust the parallax as you’re transitioning from distance the distance also the fact that this one does come. With a sunshade which is a very nice touch to help prevent that sun and glare affecting those longer shots when i. Posted a lot of these photos on Instagram i have a lot of questions about the turrets guys were asking if. The turrets were just as crisp and nice as the more expensive vortexes and the. Answer is yes they have very audible and. Tactile clicks and they’re also labeled. Left right up and down and i try to show you guys that real quick and focus in so you don’t have to guess or look to the side of the optic you can literally pick your cheek slightly off the stock look. If you’re going right or left and make your adjustments very quickly and this was super simple signing it in actually. Cited this in at holly springs tactical one of the new ranges I’m going to take a look at and doing a lot of dynamic shooting there i also got to shoot this off of like a 40-foot shooting tower at. Like a hundred yards so that was really cool when this scope performed very well in all types of shooting conditions so very impressed with the quality and performance of this optic i had no problem sighting it in everything tracked very well and actually it was. Only off a few inches at a hundred yards so there really wasn’t much sighting in to do and a lot of times i attributed that to the cheaper rings but in all honesty everything held zero fine, and we. Can talk a little bit more about that reticle right now we’ve already mentioned that the reticle itself has a ton of different options but the fact that it zooms in and out is a very nice feature because again you can range effectively at all distances everything. Is very crisp and clear and at a hundred yards you could easily make out those shots unfortunately i haven’t stretched this out shooting past 100 yards but i have looked out the six and seven hundred yards with this scope and the fact that it zooms all the way into 24 with again those range effect. The lines that you can tell exactly what you’re shooting at it makes it super simple i assume to make those shots at that six and seven hundred yard distance as long as your rifle is capable because the reticle itself was super crisp and. Clear and the glass was very clear at those distances i plan on doing a range. Day at holly springs tactical very soon where i bring out a lot of these precision long-range guns and stretch it out to about three hundred yards i think this shot is about 260 to 275 and i can. Update you guys on the performance on a lot of these vortex optics from. Opticsplanet so if you’re ever in moors borough north carolina check out holly springs tactical and if you happen to be looking for some scopes especially some of these nice vortex options on sale go check out optics planet i also want to give a huge shout out to bear creek arsenal they kind of sent over some of these grindle uppers and a few other uppers and rifles this month because october is rifle month at bear creek arsenal and i think I’ve posted this deal on facebook but it’s sold out really quickly you could get this entire sixty-five grindle upper. For around two hundred and fifty dollars with my coupon code 704 tactical so go check out a lot of those sales they’re ending pretty soon so i hope this gives. You a high value option to add to your air 15 that is gonna give you the performance in most cases of one of the. Really $1000 or high-performance $800. Optics then at about half the price again there are some circumstances where. You can’t get away with an optic like this but most of the time they’re few and far between and when you do buy those higher-end optics you will get a little bit better performance in twilight or early dawn for those really. Long distance shots in a twilight scenario but most of the time i believe this vortex is going to be plenty for. Most long-range shooting applications thanks for watching guys have a good one.

Welcome to another installment from long. Range productions today we will be doing a budget scope comparison we have the intent originally to compare five budget-minded scopes with some excellent features directly against a Bushnell. Elite tactical 3.5 to 21 dmr scope which. Has over the years proven to track true. And be darn near bulletproof stay tuned to see the results. And back to zero next scope up for. Testing is the athlon argos btr in six. To 24 by 50 with milla justments the. Scope overall is quite nice with a lot of features that usually find on much more expensive optics such as reticle. Illumination and being first focal plane msrp is $445 with the street prices. Being closer to 330 at the time of filming the turrets on this optic feel. Quite good overall but the magnification adjustment is very stiff and somewhat of a painted turn the illumination also leaves something to be desired i like the fact that it has the ability to illuminate the reticle but the execution was poor at best with tons of light pollution spilling out of the crosshairs and all throughout the image on all but the lowest of settings i also want to mention that while this optic does not have a true zero stop you can add a. Makeshift zero stop and athlon will. Provide you with the necessary shims free of charge which is a very nice bonus overall i like this optic but i do want. To give a fair and honest review. The cabala’s covenant is a bit of the. Unknown in this test at a $250 price. Point it has some great features including a really nice reticle and some very excellent glass the glass clarity. At least to my eye during these tests was on par with optics costing many times more than the scope did this one. Is the four to fourteen by forty-four millimeter model featuring a 30 millimeter main tube and a reticle. Situated on the first focal plane the turks feel good if not a tad bit mushy the magnification ring moves freely with just enough tension to trust that it will only spend when you want it to no zero straw for illumination available and it is only available in moa but it really does have the best. Optical clarity out of the budget scopes compared today i would put the clarity on par with the Bushnell dmr that is our baseline for this test yes. It really is that good so this one. Is moa it’s not mills so I’m gonna want. To go up. The next scope in the lineup is the. All-new vortex diamondback tactical ffp. This one is in mils and like the name suggests it is a first focal plane scope this one is for two sixteen by forty. Four and features exposed target turrets. With a really excellent layout easy to read nice feel the turrets however to. Not lock and there is no zero stop available the reticle is the ebr to see. Reticle which has proven itself to be an excellent reticle design over the years the turrets and magnification ring have. Great tactile feedback and the glass is quite good but the eye box at a full sixteen power does get awfully small if. You have a good ergonomic setup on your rig there shouldn’t be an issue but it could catch some people out with a subpar setup. The last cup in our lineup today is the Bushnell engage the engage is a newer. Line of optics from Bushnell that incorporates some nice features for not a lot of money well you can only get the. Engage in moa and second focal plane it. Is still a very usable optic i have this one mounted on my very favorite hunting rifle browning ex bolton seven millimeter Remington magnum the engaged scope is. Held up on this light rifle with a pretty stout loading in this cartridge but 162 grain hornady ldx moving along. At three thousand one hundred and seventy feet per second has nothing to sneeze at and the engage handles it well the deploy moa reticle is a very usable. Reticle though in order to use it as designed for range estimation or measuring you do have to be at a full sixteen power this can be a hindrance. In some situations the optics are very. Good and the turrets are of a pull to unlock design they have a good tactile feedback in the power ring is easy to adjust overall i give it good marks. Five minutes outs of one two three all. Right and now that we’re back home what does all this tells us well i think the. Most important thing that it tells us is don’t go out and shoot on a day as windy. As that and expect to shoot from a platform without major shot disruptions. That wind was actually physically. Blowing my truck around to the point where i was shooting off the tailgate. And it was blowing it to the point whereas you can see from the groups down here. That gun is its accurate and consistent. Enough that this should all be one. Ragged hole and it typically is if i was laying down prone it probably would have been but because of the wind conditions. That head-on wind it was hitting my truck broadside it was moving the truck twists in the truck the suspension was moving around and bouncing around and i could not get a super steady shot. Just from the wind gusts so you can see everything is kind of spread around i did get lucky a couple of times the bush and all engages were pretty close the cabala’s covenant was pretty close time. Back tactical had a little bit of spread on it these are the three shots from the. Dmr the Bushnell dmr here’s another. Athlon down here so a lot of this may. Not be scope tracking so scientifically. This doesn’t give us a great data set. But it’s something interesting to look at so i went through and i did the math on everything and you can see this was. The aiming point on the target i tried to get video of the bullet impacts but. Again it was so windy it was pushing the camera around on the tripod really badly so from point of impact or from point of. Aim this was the constant point of aim i never deviated from that point of aim we. Can look up here the diamondback tactical that was two point nine mils i. Dialed three so two point nine that’s. Pretty darn close the athlon is as well. As two point nine one mils so both of. Those almost exact you know exactly the. Same i did dial 32.9 two point nine one. So it’s a tenth off and again that could be the truck getting blown around. Here’s the Bushnell engage that shows up. At ten point five moas that was 11 inches. So that is ten point five moa i did dial. Ten so that’s pretty darn close the dmr. Three point two six mils so 1/4 mil high. From what i dialed and then the cabala’s. Covenant i dialed 15 total and i ended. Up with fourteen point eight moas so that’s pretty darn close so again the. Room for error there is probably in the. Wind blown the gusts and all that so. Then let’s see so the dmr was the first. Scope that we shot and that was again three point two six mils from point of impact or from point of aim to point of impact three point two six mils then we went right and that was. One point eight mils was the impact, and then we went left and. That was two point five mils then we. Shot the athlon right here that was two. Point nine one mils i dialed three total, and we went right that was two point. Three six mils right and left one point. Eight seven five mils after that it was. The cabala’s covenant and that i dialed fifteen point or 15 mils or 15 moas. Excuse me and i ended up impacting. Fourteen point eight moas so i actually. Wrote this out as mils but that is the correct conversion for moa so dialing right that came out at six. Point six nine moas dialing left five. Point one three moas and then came back. Down and you can see impact number one. Impact number two so that actually. Worked out pretty well that’s fairly consistent coming back to point of. Original point of aim from there we did. The diamondback tactical and you can see. This was shot placement number one and. This was the follow-up shot so. Diamondback tactical we dialed three. Mils we ended up 2.9 mils in elevation. Dialed right diamondback tactical was. 1.8 mils right next to the dmr dialed. Left the diamondback tactical is one point five nine mils and then back to. Complete zero and you can see the second impact right here right on the line so that was actually fairly consistent. Again when definitely played a factor. Their last one was the Bushnell engage i. Believe this was shot number one then we. Dialed up Bushnell engage ended up. Hitting at 10.5 moa dialed right we. Ended up at 5.7 moa, and then we dialed. Left at 4.3 moa and then back down you. Can see shot number one and then shot number two here and then i dialed down 5 moa i ended up. Impacting almost 6 moa lo so this was. Shot number 3 and that was the only one that i did that with so this here is you. Now just basically with that wind and. That shooting platform what does that. Tell us you know it does show that. Dialing back down to zero after cranking. The turrets it they all were fairly. Consistent so that’s a good thing they were also fairly consistent with my. Shooting dialing up as you can see. They’re all kind of grouped here dialing left and dialing right all fairly consistent so some of these shots. Were definitely thrown some of these shots were moved around from my shooting platform being moved by the wind but. Overall i would say they were all good performers and i would trust any of them i will definitely get back out and do some more testing and calmer conditions and from a more stable shooting platform where i was shooting it’s a little too dusty to be shooting from prone on the ground it’s all very. Very fine silica type moon dust dirt and. Shooting headlong into the wind is. Just a way to a good way to sandblast your teeth your rifle and your optics so. I didn’t want to do that anyways i hope. This was informative to you if you have any questions comments or concerns please feel free to put them down below. In the comments and i will be more than happy to answer them.

So we’re gonna review the vortex diamondback tactical scope today i got in the 416 by 44 30 millimeter tube on. It i got this one with the eb rtc. Reticle and the m’ red which is. Basically a mil dot i know some people. Think that the reticles like that are a little bit busy which to a certain. Extent they are but what’s you used to it i found personally that i really like. I’ve got some horse vision scopes that. Are very similar i should say which more. Texas license through worst vision one. Of the big things is first focal plane all your values are the same no matter what power you’re on so if you’ve got a. Skull know that if it’s three point six. Inches at 100 yards on for power it’s. Three point six inches on 12 power at. The same distance you don’t have to mix and match and try to figure stuff out. The eb rtc reticle is a little bit. Different than some of the horse vision reticles that i used the wind age is. Pretty much the same but when it comes to elevation they only put in a half mil. Dot in there they didn’t break it down in and subtending 2.2 mils which is a. Little bit different i kind of wish it would have but it’s not a huge deal. Especially out of $350 scope it’s one of the great things about this you don’t. See very many first focal plane scopes for 350 bucks especially not quality ones the downside. Is and i use this on two different deer this past year at low light the reticles. The lines in the reticle are a little. Hard to see especially if you’re shooting out long distance you might. Lose ten minutes of shooting light depending on how good your highs are I’m. Gonna call vortex on that see if they’ll thicken those up they probably. Try anyways one of the other downsides i. Had during sight in and when i say sight i had done have a bore sighted and it. Only took me six rounds to get it to zero but i did have an issue with some. Of the clicks where they did not take effect immediately i had to fire a couple rounds to get me go on now a huge deal to me as i use the. Reticle more than the clicks some people. Like using clicks i don’t it’s something extra you have to do in the field that’s why i like that eb rtc reticle you can. Just automatically go on the fly all you. Gotta do is your calculations you don’t have to mess with your turn stall you don’t have to reason or your turrets big. Things the two deer that i took. Along with the first one was at 292. Yards you know it was at 4:35 so this scope will hold its value i said i cited. In i only did a 200 yards zero i went. Through a ballistic calculator pulled off the round on this 300 and it was. Identical all the way out to 435 i. Rejected at 315 yards just to make sure. That it was on target for my hunting that those lines matched up as far as what the calculator told me perfectly on. First round hit 315 yards target so i. Was comfortable at that longer distance. If you’re out west hunting this would be. A great scope i had some clients that. Were using bdc reticle scopes unfortunately one missed my boy he was. 13 times on two different occasions. Largely because he didn’t understand his. Scope and looking at the site or the. Manufacturer it was very hard to be able. To determine on the fly where those. Bolts we’re gonna be hitting with that. Scope that he had and so i advised him on buying something like this or similar i think that would go for just about. Anybody else as well i will say the clarity on this thing is great I’ve had. A Thousand dollars fifteen hundred other scopes clarity was no different so it from that. Viewpoint everything turns and moves pretty easy focus is great I’m looking. To get another one of these for my ex er to replace the hawk scope that i got so. Long few years ago from horse vision and. So if you’re looking for a good scope i would definitely go with the vortex diamondback for 350 bucks its kind of. Hard meal to beat happy honey.

How you do youtube this is anything you come at you guys with the second part reviewing tracking tests at the. Vortex diamondback tactical first focal plane if you guys watched my first video you guys saw that i had the rifle scope. Mounted on this rifle and i wasn’t. Necessarily pleased with the accuracy. That i had gotten that outing with the. Frontier cartridge so for this part 2 of. The video i decided to take this rifle. Scope off the ruger mounted on this rifle here this is a Remington 700. Chambered in 308 it shoots a hundred and. Sixty eight grains sierra matchking is very well so i wanted to test it against. This scope here this is a Bushnell elite. Tactical first focal plane three-and-a-half to twenty-one power. Mill nail with the g2 reticle so what i. Was hoping to do is test both rifle. Scopes on the same rifle shooting the same ammo on the same target and see how. Those shots tracked around the board. Together. It was raining that day i did have some. Gopro issues as well i wanted to film. These shots impact in the target and. Also back at the range at the bench I’m. Sorry i was not able to do that i only have footage of the shots down at the target. Before we roll into the shots at the. Range I’ll go over the target board here. On the tabletop so you guys can kind of. See and get an idea of how everything. Happened and then we’ll roll the video. Of the range okay youtube so here we are. Looking at the target tracking target. That i made for this test as you guys can see here i have this one labeled vortex diamondback zero this one labeled Bushnell elite zero this is where i. Started and finished the tracking test. For both scopes originally i started. With the vortex diamondback you guys will see its first shots printed over. Here and then adjusted dials and got it. On paper and then started the box test. Took my first shot at the start and then. Couldn’t read my own handwriting so i. Only dialed one mil instead of two and this shot printed here at that time in. The video you’ll see that the target had. Come loose and i had to run down there. And secure it runs back down at the bench and get started shooting again so i dialed another motivation and printed on the target dial two more mils which puts. Us at four mils of elevation and the. Shot with the vortex landed off to the. Right side i don’t know which was the first one which was the second one but. It landed off to the right side initially i thought that i pulled it so. I took another shot, and they stacked up right against each other so what i conclude is that the target backer wasn’t necessarily square to me when i. Put my level on it and made sure that it was level i don’t think the target backer was necessary a hundred percent. Squared to me so that’s why that shots went off to the right dialed wind age and then back down in. Elevation and it came right back to zero. Next i through the bush snow don and i chased the euro around for a. Little while i didn’t know what was going on and i hadn’t torqued everything. Down correctly so i had taken the scope. Back off put it back on torqued everything down right and then i just. Through another pasty over the existing. One got it zeroed and started the box. Test and as you guys can see the shots pretty much followed each other around the target board i I’m pretty pleased. With the results of the track game for the vortex for three hundred and fifty. Dollars i think you’re getting a heck of a deal and a heck of a scope I’ll roll. Into the footage of the shots. Downrange now and then we’ll talk a. Little bit more about the scope at the end. So there you have it youtube very. Pleased with the way that this scope. Tracked in comparison to the Bushnell. Elite again for $350 i think more text. Has knocked it out of the park the only other budget first focal plane. Scopes that I’ve seen out in the market that i think would maybe come closer. Compared to this is the new Bushnell. Nitro line but even though scopes for. This magnification ranges the middle mill. The first focal plane are a couple. A Hundred dollars more i want to say somewhere in the $500 price point which. Is still very affordable for a first. Focal plane nil-nil target scope but for. Three hundred and fifty dollars it’s tracking right alongside my Bushnell. Elite which i paid three or thirteen or fourteen hundred dollars for and i couldn’t be more pleased with this little scope so if you’re on the fence about these don’t be pull the trigger go. Get one and thanks for watching.

Hi this is cody from bo’s loaders calm and today we have a new scope from nikon. The mic will be here to describe that to it yeah thanks cody well the new scope the code is talking about it’s the p3 muzzle on your scope it’s actually a remodel we’ve given it a face lift and. You probably will recognize our past mother-loving scopes the omega the in my necks are and how the p3 muzzle-loader okay, so we’ve made multiple different updates to it but to those that have. Been using the past products i want to ensure you that it’s the same great pro staff glass that we’ve always had in the scope with coating updates of course. Throughout the years, and then we always have our consistent five inches of eye. Relief which is really something that i don’t you know most years really have really wanted in this product some of. The updates that we have is for one thing we’ve actually taken the rubber off of the zoom ring and the focus wheel. As well so it just shows off some of the durability we’ve put some deeper. Indentations on those wheels it’s also a little bit easier to grip particularly in cold weather now have instead of. Classic turn caps we have metal turn caps then we’ve changed the logo and it’s all laser engraved a lot of hunters these days use a surrogate rainbow hunt. 50 grains of powder how does this go match that load yeah they’ve actually the bdc 300 is built specifically for that load however because we want people. To have the opportunity to customize or you know they’re shooting setup we have. A program called spot-on which is a ballistics match technology it’s a free app download so it’s free download your phone it’s free online and essentially you go in there and change a lot of things i mean you can change your bullet your powder charge or caliber you can even change the atmosphere conditions so in reality is you know it’s really built to match. Any kind of custom setup that’s out there awesome what’s great about this app too is if you use an imr white-hot or black or 2 9. Tired xrs on top of that with power bell or hornady boulud this app. Allows you to put that into it and use that yeah absolutely i mean in the last for me honestly the great thing too is everything’s covered under nikon supplies are there no fault policy which is lifetime so basically if. The customer breaks it they can send it in and won’t give them a new one settles that awesome well this scope is available on our website right now as a single product it’s also on some pre bail packages and you can put it on most of our inline rifles on our custom package page you can find that at muzzle. — loggers calm or you can call our customer service line at eight five two three six five thousand.

Most long-range shooting applications thanks for watching guys have a good one.

dedicated video on this mount again where I’m pretty sure this scope was in it so if you want to know more about that go ahead and check out that video

Hey guys and welcome dulce reviews. Well time checking out the Leopold vx-3 i three point five to ten by forty trust. And doll systems go now i thought I’d. Leave it in the box guys because I’m going to obviously mount it and take it out on the farm and use it but i thought I’ll just do the unboxing you know this scope is very new to the. Market especially here in australia so i. Thought I’d unbox it and show you. Exactly what comes with it ok so let’s. Just run through what comes with it we’ve got obviously the owner’s manual there with a sticker a bit about the. Custom doll system now guys if you want to see that i guess you know in use. Check out my actual other video I’ll put the link here on the loophole with a custom doll system because i actually really test that out this here obviously doesn’t have the custom knob of the doll. System fitted to it as yet because i haven’t decided which caliber and ammunition that I’m going to use so. We’ve got a little bit about long-range. Shooting systems a bit of stuff about. The nra and allen key the scope and a. Cover ok so the first thing honestly i. Think about this scope when i pick it up is very lightweight okay tommy. Thirteen point one ounces or 371 grams. The overall length of it is twelve point six inches or just on 32 centimeters and. It’s a one-inch tube so for me this would be an ideal hunting optic or if. You just want to keep the weight down in general on your rifle which I’m a big fan of it’s got 52 moas of adjustment for. Both wind age and elevation so you know that is plenty of adjustment quarter. Inch clicks on the scope too so you know. You can really i guess fine-tune it gets. Right in make sure it’s really accurate with those fine adjustments now. Like most loopholes go something look it’s its tough it’s very rugged. It’s made of a six-oh six-one t6. Aircraft aluminum alloy i can say the. Housing is extremely tough you know it’s not easy to break one of these scopes it’s waterproof its fog proof and the biggest thing about Leopold i guess is the lifetime. Guarantee that they offer you know what our people wonder well what’s that. Lifetime guarantee about we’ll look if something’s wrong if something goes faulty or it just starts failing you pay. You can send it back, and they either repair it or they replace it and that’s for the life of the scope so that means you know not only if you have it like i. Mean if you sell your rifle and you’ve got a loophole scope on it that transfers over to the that new person. That new boy or the new owner so i mean. Look that is really hard to beat that sort of guarantee it’s made in the usa so you know like you’re assured of a bit. Of quality there you know it’s not something that’s just made cheaply in the philippines here just for having a scope sight you’re actually getting. Something that is quality now what is. Different about the vx 3 i to the normal. Vx 3 scopes now the biggest difference. Is from what i can see is they’re. Advertising it saying well it’s you know it’s newer it’s better its cheaper you know it’s around $200 cheaper than the. The x3 so you know approximately $700. For this particular model here but the. Big thing with it is this twilight max light management system now that just. Sounds like a bit of promotional garbage really doesn’t it but in reality what it means is you can see deeper into the. Shadows okay so perfect for hunting at. Dawn or dusk now obviously the lenses are coated with. The typical loophole finish then you’ve. Just got a very nice sharp image so what I’m going to do guys is some I’m going to actually I’ll mount this on a rifle and I’ve got our scope can okay now I’m actually. Going to be reviewing that individually as well great device for putting your. Iphone and stuff like that onto the rear of the scope so you can actually look through it so I’ll be using that so that. I can look through this optic and we’ve. Got to look into the shadows look around you know early evening and stuff and just show you just what it’s like to actually look through the optic so let’s. Get out on the farm now and put this scope right through its paces now I’m. Just looking through the scope here just at the bank on the d and I’ve got the reflection just on there as well and you. Can really see where this scope stands. Out with the quality of the glass really. Really nice crisps image and you can just see the ripples on the water make out all the detail we’ve even got a little duck called an email I’m trying to get a grasp but let’s see if we can. Focus on him okay so there once again. You can see the clarity of this scope. So as you can see guys the sun’s well. And truly going down here on the farm so you know this is probably the latest that you’d be looking at doing some hunting you know if you didn’t have any sort of lighting so what we’ll do now is. We’ve just come over to put about it’s. About four hundred meters away from us here on the farm you’ll see a clump of trees here now as you can see you know. Keep in mind the video camera picks up. Light fairly well but to the naked eye i mean i cannot see under those trees okay. It is very dark very hard to see or. Make anything out there so if you had you know for example a deer or something like that standing there you really wouldn’t be able to see it with the naked eye so what we’ll do now is we’ll. Jump over to the actual last coke can. Okay so we’re looking at the same area. There guys and you can clearly see the crosshairs okay it’s just gathering that last bit of light that we’ve got of the day you know so if you had any sort of. Game there and you want to take a shot i mean you could easily do so even going. Into the really dark patches there you’ve still got that bit of light. That’s being gathered by the skype so. Overall look you can really see that the quality of the glass is there and the light gathering capabilities is definitely there on the vx-3 eye in general all right guys I’ll wrap up with. My final thoughts on the loop hold via. Three eye now honestly I’m really happy with this scope but i guess I’ve used a. Lot of Leopold scope so you know I’m not. Disappointed i kind of know what to expect the loophole because it’s just a good solid benchmark of a product like. When you’re looking at scopes i mean you know if you can’t afford some of the really high-end scopes but you still want that great scope that’s going to give you a great warranty give you a great amount of features and at the end. Of the day just simply work then loupe holds a way to go so anyhow look i can’t. Really say much more about it guys as i said in the intro price roughly for this particular model about $700 but have a. Look at the new vx-3 eye line there’s just a heap of them to look at the other. Think I’ll add two guys because at the time of doing this review if you want to. Actually win one of these scopes there’s three that are being given away by niall, so they’re giving one away this month. Next month and the following month ok so. May june july so all you need to do is jump over onto their website put your name down and you could actually win one for free anyhow this scopes going to do me i. Might actually get out and have a little bit more plinking fun with it alright guys hope you enjoyed the review we’ll catch up with you next time.

Guys welcome to the mac jack youtube channel this is another review I’m going. To do on one of my hunting products that. I use out in the field um today we will. Be reviewing the nikon fuck masters 3 by. 9 by 40 rifle scope but i bought this a. Few weeks ago for a new rifle that i. Acquired and i’m loving this scope guys its great it’s equipped with a bdc. Reticle and just a great scope guys now. I’ve already taken the skulls out of the box i just thought I’d show you the nice packaging it comes in with the buck. Masters logo on it I’ll open up the box. Anyways and show you know what comes. In it open up there’s the buck masters. Logo again we have some warranty. Information wow 30 year national limited. Warranty that’s pretty good guys and we. Have no instruction manual. It’s a sculpt it’s pretty simple i didn’t need to read that so i don’t open it yes had a cool cardboard insert in there for the scope sitting and whatnot just. Great packaging so anyways that’s the. Package also this scope nikon has this. Spot on ballistic match technology this. Is an app you can download on your phone and basically in the crosshairs a bdc. Reticle it has your normal crosshairs. And then it has these four little dots dropped milk back dots so if you use. This spot on app you can punch in what. Round you’re shooting how many grains what the brand is you know caliber all. That temperature wind speeds and. You just set how many herbs you want to. Zero in it and it will tell you what. Each one of those circles is paired in. For it’s pretty cool out guys i used it. In this great onion so now i know exactly you know if the coyote you know. A hundred yards out i just aim for the center crosshairs if it’s a hundred and. Forty yards out i you know i move the crosshairs up i just used the first dot. And so forth it’s cool man it’s a really cool reticle anyways we’ll move. You over here to my rifle where i have the scope mounted on it there we go. So this is the nikon buck masters 3 by 9. By 40 know what i like about nikon is. They have these really nice skull caps you’re not see-through skull caps but when you feel them they’re high quality, and they really fit on their. Scopes quite nicely but anyway so I’ll. Take the scope caps off has a very nice. Matte finish on it as you can see. There’s the dial so 3 all the way to 9. Really cool I’ll take the turret caps. Off now some crummy scopes come with. These really stupid turrets where you. Now you need a dime or whatever to even adjust them not this scope guys this is. Really nice it’s just you know simple adjustments so you can throw your rifle. In and then this these adjustments actually have in little allen key on the top you just take that out and you can set the turret back to zero so it’s a. True zero they label it my caps back on. Mine’s already zero so i don’t have to. Do anything with it and you know try and. Get a view with the cam of what the bdc reticle looks like but. You can see the rim of the bell you. Now it says buck masters really cool let’s get a really nice finish on it. Labeling for the bdc reticle the eye. Relief is great no problems at all guys. I’ll just try and get you can see you. Down okay so there’s the reticle you see. It really cools a great quality many ways. That concludes my review for the buck masters nikon buck masters 3 by 9 by 40. You can get this rifle scope at. Amazon.can they run for about i think. There are 219 dollars when i last. Checked anyways I’ll leave the link in my comments below so you can go and. Check it out highly recommend getting on these status great scope.

Hi I’m scott with the riflescope store. This is the Leopold riflemen scope and. It’s exactly the same as the old blue pulled very x2 let’s take a look the. Leopold riflemen is an entry-level scope but that doesn’t mean it’s cheap Leopold incorporates its fully coated lens system meaning there’s anti scratch coatings of both ends and it provides a decent sight picture even in low-light conditions when considering a price the sight picture is excellent the wind age. And elevation adjustments are micro friction what that means is you’re going to need a coin or screwdriver to. Manipulate them the eyepiece is. Adjustable and lockable simply loosen up. The locking ring adjust the eyepiece to. Your liking lock her back down the power ring is. Little pulled stiff which is not a bad thing and it’s very smooth and of course. Leopold incorporates all their fog proof and waterproof technology into the rifleman and backs it up with a lifetime guarantee the rifleman is an economy. Price co that will provide you with repeatable accuracy and years of dependable service to me a favor before. You buy a scope mass-produced in china. Please consider the rifleman you’ll pay just a little bit more but you will get a lot more scope for your money consider buying your rifleman from us today.

Hey guys want to do a quick video for. You today let you take a look at a scope i just picked up it’s made by Leopold as. You can see this is their rifleman it’s. A three by nine power with a 40 millimeter objective i was other day on. Facebook probably last well if it was a. Week ago or so but i posted that i was looking for a good scope for a new rifle. I just picked up and my budget was around $200 or less i just needed some. Suggestions for some good scopes in that price range and i got quite a few suggestions and i appreciate all the. Comments and all the suggestions not checked out each one of them read a lot of reviews and a lot of writings on these scopes and the. Loophole rifleman is the one that i decided to go with its right at $200. Got it at midway free shipping no self. Saks and i had a 15% off promo code so i. Got it really cheap right i delivered to. My door a lot cheaper than even buying. It at one of the big box stores had it but it was like right at $200 and i got it around $170 range so I’m real happy with it haven’t mounted it on the rifle yet i want to let y’all look at it first we’ll go ahead and take it out of the box here I’ve been playing around with it some it comes with an owner’s manual here. Loophole has been around for a while i think since the 1907 maybe, and they’re based out of Oregon let me get this out. Of the box here alright it comes with a. Black matte finish i think it weighs a. Little over 12 ounces like say it’s three by nine has a 40 millimeter objective you see there this is the rifleman scope and i say just all the. Reviews i read a lot of good things to say about this one likely for that price range all the standard you know fully. Coated optics shockproof all proof waterproof all that good stuff it has kind of wide a duplex reticle see if. We can look at it right here if i can get it to focus your kind of get the. Pictures kind of wide it gets narrow there at the crosshairs a really clear picture really clear. Picture I’ve been looking through it like some like sigh mounted on the rifle jut right after i turned the camera off here and I’m really excited about. This guy going on a hog hunt later this. Here in march later in the month with some good buddies here on youtube and. Looking forward to it getting to meet a couple of i haven’t ever met, and we’ve talked a lot online get to meet them in person and I’m really excited about it but yeah nice scope guys just from what i can tell the quality build we’ll see how she holds up imma get her mounted on the rifle and get her dialed in but um. Any guesses as to what kind of rifle I’ve got it’s one of if I’ll give you a. Hint it’s one of my favorite it is my favorite fire manufacturer matter of fact I’ve got probably more guns by them. Then any other manufacturer you guys want to take a guess who it what kind of rifle it is I’ll give you another clue here’s around it shoots so yeah guess if. You can guess in the comments what type of rifle it is what manufacturer and like say there’s the round of shoots and this is the scope that’s going to go on it so I’m looking forward to it i have. Another follow-up video soon where it will be citing this bad boy in and seeing how she holds up but um yeah real. Quick this is the loophole rifleman so 3 by 9 power and 40 millimeter jeff dudes so anyways guys i appreciate you watching y’all have a good one.

Hello I’m todd mode ski with atg. Marketing i represent loopholed and stephens which is a riflescope manufacturer and optics provider for the. United states based out of beaver ton Oregon today i want to talk about the loopholed rifle scopes loopholes been manufacturing rifle scopes since 1947 in. Oregon they’ve been in existence as a. Company since 1907 so they’ve got a long. History of manufacturing quality instrumentation and quality equipment. What we’ve got here in front of me is three different levels of rifle scopes. There’s the vx 1 dx 2 and vx 3 i like to. Refer to it as kind of the good better the best scenario when looking at rifle. Scopes the Leopold vx-3 a 3 to 9 model. Right here is animat finish also available in silver finish it is kind of. The original rifle scope that was. Developed for the hunting market and the 3 to 9 by 40 gives you a good mixture of magnification and objective. Size to accomplish a great day of. Hunting so this scope the vx one has a multi coat lens coatings on the exterior lenses fro both on the ocular side and. On the objective side and then there’s a magnesium fluoride coating on the lenses on the inside what that coating is an. Anti-reflective coating that allows a maximum amount of light transmission to. Come through the scope thus making it bright when you look through the scope in low-light conditions the scope has. Fingertip adjustments right here for. Both the wind age and elevation adjustments it is waterproof shockproof. Fog proof and has an unlimited lifetime. Warranty again loopholed is a u.s. Manufacturer of rifle scopes and that’s an incredible warranty for this type of. Product in the very x2 series of the vx. Ii series there’s a slight upgrade in. Lens coatings that’s available you. Get multi coat for lens coatings. In the vx1 but in the vx2 you’re going. To get what they call an index matched lens coating so that means every particular lens inside this rifle scope. Has a lens coating that’s specifically. Designed for the function of that lens what it’s doing inside that optical system the exterior lenses have the. Diamond coat lens coating on them which is an extremely durable lens coating its something so when you’re out in the field and you get dirt and grime in there and you invariably you’ll go take your jacket and try to clean it off you won’t be scratching the lenses and inhibit some of your quality of your image it’s going to maintain a. Durable coating on the outside this diamond coat and it’s going to protect you from yourself ruining your lens. Coating this particular model has the. Option has several options for reticles but it also has a unique. Option called the cts dial system that’s. A custom dial system and what that is. When the purchaser the consumer. Buys this rifle scope they’ll take it. Home and they’ll monitor on their rifle they’ll cite it in just like any other rifle scope but once they get it sighted. In and they determine what ammunition they like for that particular gun and for this setup what they’ll do is. Or what they can do is call up Leopold and Leopold will give them a brand-new. Or a dial rather a custom dial specifically designed for the ammunition. That they’re using in this set up that particular dial or that specific. Dial doesn’t cost a dime to the consumer that’s included in the part of the price. And what they do is a laser ratchet with. All the ballistics from the ammunition and then that ballista or the dial is. Then sent to the consumer, and they can take the dial off by just a couple of set screws here take this off and put. The other one on and bring it around to zero and therefore when they determine the distance of something they’re shooting at they would just literally dial in that distance hold on it and. Shoot so the cts is a credible incredible feature that’s available on. The vx series the next series in the line of. Scope is called the vx 3 the vx 3 i know. They look very similar like they’re all the same but the vx 3 is actually got a. Couple of extra features that the other. Two don’t it’s and again it goes back to. The lens the treatment of the lenses they do an interior coating on the. Exterior of the lens is called a darkened edge and what that does is that prevents against additional refraction. Of light with inside the optical system so that’s kind of neat feature to it in addition to that there’s some bdc. Type reticles boone and Crockett. And the varmint hunter reticles which are glass sets reticles which enable the user of the scope to use holdover points. While they’re shooting long distance so. These are also available in a variety of configurations they’re available in a 30. Millimeter main tube this happens to be a one-inch main tube right here, but they’re also available in 50 millimeter objectives which will allow you to get a little lighter transmission on higher. Magnification and low light conditions the 30 millimeter tube was designed more in the long range versions of this scope. And that allows for more adjustment for. Windage and elevation so technically you can adjust your scope out to shoot a lot further about longer distances again. Loop holds made in the united states their factory is in beaver ton Oregon and. They’ve been making scope since 1947. Fantastic company and all of these products are available at cal ranch. You.

And we have a little poll here on the. Table today so technical optics this. One’s designed for an ar this one is the. Mark ar mod one it’s a one point five before. Magnification adjustable and twenty. Millimeter objective wins the tube if. You’re gonna put scope rings on it which you will have to they are one inch it. Does not come with scope rings or any type of mount just the scope it does. Come just real quick comes with the. Battery because it does have a eliminated ret reticle comes with the. Couple of little tools here where you can adjust your caps once you have. Inside of the end your registration car. Comes with a little hard to see once you. Put it on something dark though it’ll be easy to see it’s white so just a little. Decal here i like when companies send. Decals i like to put them on my uh my. Say four different ammo boxes or something like that and you know just to have them on their comes with the little. Booklet here on how to use the reticle. System and then here’s just the regular. Owners manual for it and when i say it. Comes with a book for the reticle system that’s because this scope is actually. Designed to put rounds on target with. The with the two to three or five six fifty-five green round at thirty-one. A Hundred feet per second muzzle velocity. It’s calibrated for that and the way the. Reticle system works is. To it’s for that round so the holdover. And the drop and all that stuff is calculated into the scope now right here it’s a. Button that adjust the illumination. Battery goes inside that so you just. Unscrew it does have an o-ring in. There so it should be waterproof I’m not. Gonna give you a bunch of technical specs on it but uh. Probably hear the air-conditioner in the. Background but anyway stow the battery. In and pushing that button turns the. Purge the reticle home and it also has a. Couple of settings in there to adjust. The brightness level so you can adjust the brightness with that button for me one thing i don’t like about this scope though is the brightness of it’s just. Not very bright compared to a regular red dot it’s not anywhere near as bright the reticle is green and here it’s just. Not not as bright as i would like also since I’m talking about things i don’t like about the scope the 1.5 on the low. End of magnification I’m not crazy about 1.5 because you can’t use it as you. Would a red dot if it was one exactly one you can use one of these you know. These scopes like this as a red. Dot i say it’s gonna be different just. Because it’s a tube and you have your eye relief and all but you really it’s. Hard it’s hard for me anyway to run a scope that’s not exactly one power with. Both eyes open so that’s that’s a. Negative to me now do like this calibrates it for that i would expect. That it’s called the mark a are should. We calibrated to fit you know the. Standard ar round here’s an adjustment. For the magnification just go ahead and show you here 1.5 go to the floor pretty. Standard there as i was saying it comes. With a tool here to set these up so. When you do 0-0 it i can’t talk what you. Want to do is put your zero on this dot. Here and by loosening this cap you can. Turn it so you can put the zero on that dot that way is zeroed on zero. And then if you need to move the clicks you know where to move it back to get back to your original zero so that’s. Pretty good always like that when you can do that ways you know it’s. Probably ten or twelve ounces on weight. Don’t have the scale out if you want to. Look up the specs of us all on the website you know it’s about nine or ten. Inches long so it’s not too big not. Too bulky i just want to do this quick table-top on it before it’s mounted or. Anything so want to do this quick tabletop video. Just to show this scope there so if. Somebody’s looking for something like this they can pick one up it’s not it’s. Not cheap there’s other options out. There that i would probably go with over this one but it’s a loaf hold a good. Brand there’s some other brands that i. Was till i was still chosen especially for something like this i know i could. Get a another one too for scope cheaper. Then this one that i like way better so. I would go with that when I’m not going to mention their name in this video but starts with a v they make a lot of good. Scopes also but both of them are good brands the scopes probably in the 350 to. 400 range and this is in 2018 so i could. Change as time goes but just want to do. This quick little review on the tabletop. Here I’m sorry there’s no shooting or. Any video of the scope on a rifle. Yet but maybe we can get something done for that i appreciate you. Watching the channel subscribe if you. Haven’t already y’all have a good one.

Hi good morning guys america today we. Take a look at something from our buddies over loop holder leopold or however they pronounce it anyway this is. From their new kind of economy line and that’s called the vx freedom it’s a three by nine with a duplex style. Reticle in it that’s thing retails for at 389 so it’s definitely on the cheaper in for loopholed but there are a lot of things going right for the scope got the loophole brain quality i probably clearly a glass we’ll find out here in a minute as well as you know a lot of hunting guys prefer kind of employing reticle like this so it’s great for a. Hunting rifle it’s also great for an ar which we’re going to test it on today we also got an ar map from blue bolt. Alright so out of the box this is an incredibly light scope which you know we can’t expect for a three by nine at this point it’s got a one-inch tube on it there you got one inch range lying around you’re taken care of that’s also going to help you tribute to that light package so I’m gonna get this thing mounted up, and then we’ll get order it up and get her a test it alright, so then we are all matted up using the springfield armory st. edge as a test platform today no one thing i. Immediately noticed mounting this thing up the clicks feel really positive. Especially for a scope in this price point which is you know actually kind of rare, so we’ll get down well zero this thing. Up then, we do a little baby box drill to make sure their tracks correctly be in business for ammunition your date were using already black which traditionally has been some very accurate ammo, so we’ll see how this does out of the old edge as well. All right moving up two inches and back. Down two inches. Hey good return to zero let’s try right. Three inches and back alright looks like. She trash let’s go look at our target okay well that could be mistaken for a hot mess it just shows me that our gun does track like it’s supposed to so guys zero up well we had to the right. Came back chuck that’s been a little bit and that’s probably more on me than on the gun then on the gunners go came back. To zero left fine down five alright so. There you have it Leopold vx-3 done three to nine quarter moa adjustments which proved is that they are they track correctly glass is. Very clear especially for the price point stuff in the market for more you know economy a are hunting scope low polls got you covered.
