I don’t know about the issues others had with the shrink wrap but I have fletched over a dozen of my practice arrows with these and it has worked great. I will get about 3 months out of them when I am shooting regularly. If you follow the instructions you shouldn’t have any problems. I recommend a rolling boil.

Hi it’s chris larson from crossbow. Expert calm with the 2017 hea trade show. In Indianapolis I’m at the Excalibur booth and I’ve got their new for 2017. Bill this is the micro suppressor and basically what they did is they put the 355 the micro 355 limbs on a bulldog. Stock and what that does is it moves that trigger forward makes it easier to. Shoot they put their new ex hanger quiver so it’s an adjustable quiver you can move it up front when you’re hunting so it’s out of your way your hands you get your gloves in there you go to cock it slides back out of the way that’s their new ex hanger the cool thing about this. Bow though all the suppression on it’s super quiet micro they put the rubber in. They put the string bats in it’s got the reds it’s also got the air brakes and. The air brakes make a world of difference and trimming the sound off of these crossbows got the air brakes built-in you got a rubberized stock rubberized hold down spring. They’ve basically taken all the sound they could take out of a crossbow into this micro suppressor so. Very cool bow at $11.99 it’s just like a. Micro 3:55 but all tricked out with the. Silencers and they put this bulldog. Stock on it to move that trigger forward you can find the micro suppressor at crossbow expert com.
Guys its late august we’re up in Quebec. At laurentian wildlife and we’re not on. Black bear ameer we’re hunting elk, and we couldn’t think of a better way to. This bow really you’re not blind with three big guys we were able to maneuver it unbelievably quiets even after we shot. You know we brought you a lot of videos last year on crossbows and crossbow hunting one of them that i found fascinating because it taught me something that i never knew is you don’t. Wax the serving on your crossbow when. You’re waxing the string jake i have to ask you this because there’s a lot of. Information out there a lot of different advice how often or how many shots. Should i be taking before i way that. String right and dan that’s a great question because there’s a lot of different information out there what we would typically recommend is that you do it every time you take that crossbow out and shoot it you’ve taken it outside exposure to the elements whether it’s just dust on the wind could be rainy moisture in the air waxing your string you’re never going to be able to do it too much so you can’t over wax your string and like i said we. Taught people including myself is that when you wax that center serving that’s. Going to mess you up isn’t it is yeah and one of the big issues that that people have is they actually convert and use vaseline instead of using either. Rail lube or string wax, and they do the same thing when they’re on the serving so you cock that bow and it’s got that that substance on it when you bring it back into the trigger mechanism it actually collects dirt and dust and gums up the trigger so that your crossbow won’t fire anymore won’t fire and that’s the question that we get a lot is some people say vaseline is okay to use on my string is that true yeah absolutely not we don’t recommend vaseline does the exact same thing as string wax would when you put it on the serving of your crossbow you’ve got that substance on there and when you cock your crossbow it actually gets back in the trigger mechanism and gums it up collects dirt and dust and actually will prevent your crossbow from firing you always want to use some kind of oil lubricant to lube. The rail and string wax on your strings we have some actually shipped with all of our clubs little two brothers you’re ready to go right from the package when you run out of this thing we always recommend scorpion venom is a great purchase option you can go to basically any retail store and pick that up and it’ll last you for a long time and does the exact same stuff so what i want to do with that is basically get the rails. Yeah and in this string but not. Directly on that serving right and i can. Overdo it no with string wax no with rail lube you. Don’t want to put too much we always recommend putting two drops on either side of the rail and using your finger just to spread it out. If you run out and it looks like you’re not going to have enough to spread add two more dots halfway down the barrel and bring it all the way back up underneath your retention spring or. Retention brush right back to the trigger box and you’ll be already little goes a long way little does go a long way especially with oil that’s awesome that’s great information that you need to know when you’re shooting a crossbow remember vaseline is not a substitute don’t use it on your crossbow for more. Information on crossbow hunting and crossbows in general go to ten point crossbows calm.

Okay today I’m going to talk to y’all about ten point crossbow maintenance the first thing we’re going to do is apply string conditioner to the string cables. You want to make sure you apply a decent. Amount you do not want to put wax in the. Middle because it will come up your trigger box and grilling it so once you. Got it all on you’re going to want to. Rub it in so it melts into the string. And cables ok so once you’ve waxed the. Strand cables i am going to use the 10. Points microloan oil I’m going to put a. Drop on each side of the safety. A drop on the dfi and you also want to. Put some on each bolt.
Hi it’s chris larson from crossbow expert calm i got a real quick simple. Easy tip to help maintain your crossbow. Keep it working better keep everything running the way it’s supposed to be really the two things that you’re going to want to do and i think this is probably the most important thing that’s something that a lot of people overlook and that’s keeping this rail lubricated. So it’s real simple you can take a little rail lube and basically what i do is i just put a drop on each side drop. There and then i drop there so just take. My finger I’m going to rub this into the rail and basically what you want to do. Is kind of get it all the way back in here as far as you can get it don’t worry about getting it was back in here because this string is you talk it and shoot it’s going to pull it back there so I’m going to put a little here a little there what that’s going to do is just keep everything going keep the system this rail system the strength. Just the least amount of friction possible keep that moving the way it’s supposed to be moving this is going to make your crossbow more accurate it’s going to add a lot of life to your string as well the other thing that we really recommend is waxing these strings now when you wax your strength the main. Think you want to make sure that you’re not doing is you don’t want to get lacs on this serving the other thing is i see. A lot of people will use like a vaseline type substance or an oil based lubricant. For this rail don’t do that it’s going. To start tearing this apart if you use wax up on the serving the other thing that’s going to happen is you can get way up into your trigger box it’s going to gum up your trigger box know what you want to do to wax these strings just put. A little wax everywhere where there’s exposed string I’m just going to put. Some on edge and use your favorite whole. String wax and then you just take your. Fingers in just keep that up and work that into the string and then another thing you can do is there’re some leathers out there you can use to heat it up and get them there but really you’ve just got one bowl or one cross so. You can go to use your index finger and. Your thumb and just work that whack in the string you just heat it up a little bit and it just kind of melds into there as far as. String way how often you should do it i would say once or twice a year if you’re. Out there and you’re hunting in the rain of life and you may want to do it a little bit more but typically you know a couple times a year especially is just. Getting you across a lot if it’s been stored all winter you have to do a lot of shooting now you’re going to get it out a lot of times you’ll feel that string will start to feel a little dry and that’s the time when you want to get some wax on that strength as far as lubricating the rail here to do that. You usually know about 20-30 shots it really depends on how much you shoot your crossbow if you only shoot it a little pointy 30 times a year and you’re. Probably going to lubricate that rail a. Little more often this is a recurve bow next caliber kind of the same idea we’re. Just going to put a couple drops on each side of the rail rub that in and again. The string is going to carry that lubricant in there for us so if you. Shoot your crossbow a lot you’re probably looking at put a little extra lubricant on there about every 30 shots you don’t shoot it as much you know if you only shoot it 23 times if i do it. Two or three times a year same thing with the way here you’re going to put it on the exposed string don’t we need to. Get it on here you don’t need to get it here you don’t definitely don’t want to get it there and then you’re just going to rub that lac to the string so just. Two simple easy steps it’s going to. Really help keep your string and your. Crossbow working the way it should be and help prolong that life and get more. Out of your crossbow and try to keep that thing so you’re not having to take name of the shots for more information check us out crossbow expert calm.
Hello my name is jacob howell with ten. Point crossbows customer service and warranty department today we’re going to be talking about maintaining your crossbow let’s start with flexing and stringing cables you want to apply a. Decent amount of wax to both the string and the cables not waxing and serving. Because it will gum with the serving and the trigger box about every 75 to 100. Shots or at the beginning of each season if you do not shoot that much then. You’re going to want to rub the string cables to melt the wax into them next. Let’s talk about lubricating your crossbow we recommend the 10 point micron because it is far superior to any other oil on the market you want to start by putting one drop of oil on each. Side of the fly trail and rubbing it in all the way back to the trigger box and. Out to the riser on each side never want. To use a vaseline based substance to do this because it will gum up your trigger box and ruin your service also if you. Over oil the fly trail it wolfs ruins are. Serving and saturate it next you want to. Put oil in your trigger box by putting one drop on each side of the safety slide window one drop on the trigger lap. And one drop on the dfi usually when i. Do this i like to move the parts and work the oil in next you’re going to. Want to put a drop of oil on each bolt. That is exposed to weather. Also a little bit of oil on the axles to. Make sure your wheels turn true every. Time you cock your crossbow and if you. Happen to get exposed to weather or any kind of element where your trigger box can get wet spray wd-40 on your trigger. Box and re lubricate it now lets’s talk. About maintaining your active joy unit. First you’re going to want to put a. Little bit of wax on your accudraw cord as needed will not need it often but it. Will help the longevity of the cord do. That you just put the wax on and rub it. Under your finger if you ever see anywhere on your cord do not use your accudraw unit send it back to us for. Replacements for oiling your accudraw. Unit you want to put a little bit of oil around the pinion gear that you put the crank on and on the inside of each front. Hole where the cord entry if you’re a. Kajal unit ever gets exposed to weather take the covers off dry out the inside. Put a little bit of wd-40 in it and then. Relocate it checking your scope is. Something you want to do every time you go out in the woods if you ever need to. Change your scope battery rip the light intensity knob and twist the top cap counterclockwise take the old battery. Out and insert a new one positive side. Up it is a 2032 watch battery. Restringing crossbow is very important. It needs to be done every three to four years if you have a gt curve or a gt. Flex free curve model you can do this at. Home or in the field start by getting a. Restraining tool and putting the. Restraining tool on the secondary shelf. Of each limp tip once it is secure draw. It back just to the dfi you don’t want. To draw it all the way back into the trigger box next remove the string from. The limb tips and you’re ready for a new. String when you get in your new string. One always put it through the loop of the. Restring err from the inside out and. Twist your string up making sure that you twist it the same direction as the serving is wrapped so the serving does not come on wrap it and put it through. The loop of the other end and not do the. Limb tip when you get to this stage the. The Easiest way to release the restring er. Off of the dfi is to pull up on the. String and get the restrainer off of the. Secondary shelf then it is free to come. Out of the trigger box. Once you get to this stage check your. Tailor height on the outside of the years lump pockets it needs to be about. Four and three eighths to four and a half inches if it is short or long put. More twists or take twists out accordingly to get the tiller height. Correct to ensure performance.
Hi it’s chris larson from crossbow. Expert calm I’m at the 88 trade show and I’m in the rage booth right now and one of the things that we’ve seen a lot over the last few years is guys having a ton of success with the rage hypodermic. Broached but what we also saw were crossbow hunters taken that hypodermic. And putting it on their crossbow and some of the high performance crossbows with that standard hypodermic we’re. Having some issues because that standard hypodermic just wasn’t designed for crossbow use well rage kind of took some. Notes and said yeah we need to come out with a hypodermic for crossbows, and they did this year this is the new rage hypodermic for crossbows it’s a little. Bit beefier as far as its retention system is going to work a lot better for you guys using those high performance crossbows they’ve made it in a 100 and a 125 grain and you can find these new. Rage hypodermic for crossbows at crossbow expert com.
Hey I’m john siever some of the rage broad heads I’m here to talk to you today about one of the broads that we have in the line and this particular one is the hypodermic crossbow now this brought this broad head comes in two different green weights comes at 100 and 125 grains and it’s based off of. What our original hypodermic was and when we came out with a hypodermic it immediately came a huge seller really fast because of it’s got a lot. Of really cool features and it’s got a stainless steel ferrule which is really strong really tell if it’s very short compact one of the other things it. Has it’s our hybrid tip so it’s kind of mixture between a leading edge blade and a chisel tip so it’s really a tough. Blade and it’s got a 2-inch cut so when this broad head opens up and deploys it. Opens up to a 2-inch cut so you get a big huge cut field point accuracy and all the toughness that a hypodermic is and what we do at rage when we design. A crossbow broad head is we make it work better with the actual arrow and. Bolt itself so what we’ve done is we’ve designed this high-energy shot color so the high energy shot color is designed it’s red and you put the pedal. Underneath the blades and that pedal is. What’s designed to hold these blades in place and lock it and the other thing that we did was we oversize this shot collar so that it’s wedged out and it flows with the actual aerodynamics of the bolt so the outside diameter of bolts is 22 to 22 64’s which is bigger. Then what a standard arrow is so this allows it to flow aerodynamic lean and give you a really good arrow flight so like you say it’s got the steel ferrule hybrid tip two inch cut high-energy shot. Collar it’s gonna stay to stay locked in. No matter how fast your crossbow is if you’re shooting 100 and 125 grains it’s. Just a really good broad head to. Be shooting out of that crossbow this year so check it out.
Alright folks paul morrison here with bow hunting comm 2000 1980 a show is underway I’m here with ryan from fara dyne he’s got a new bridge rage broad heads he’s gonna tell us a little bit about it yeah so this is the new rage. Hypodermic n see the biggest attribute. To it that you’ll see i mean we’re known you know as the most effective two. Blade three blade expandable broad heads on the market all using the shock collar. Or a band system at one point in time in order to retain the blades the biggest feature on this is that we’ve removed that blade detainment system as a whole so the nc is no color okay so you no longer need a collar and so ultimately. It has these fingers within the broad. Head itself, and so they create a pressure in order to keep the broad head closed so um equally is as accurate and dependable at. Your 34 35 40 pounds a m– pressure. Retention and everything as what the collar was just a lot slimmer sleeker and for sure gonna you know just be. Devastating correct and so you know the. Features that you know a stainless steel ferrule 35,000 blades you have a 2-inch. Cutting diameter so you’re still gonna get those massive wound channels to you know to put your target down as quickly as possible you know there’s a there’s a. Vertical bow and a crossbow version so. That crossbow version is tested up to 420 feet per second you know and a. A Hundred percent of no deployment no pre deployments at all during that shot. Cycle testing well perfect there you go guys the same great product that rage has had for the past years but a little. Tweak to it to make it even better so where do we go to find out more about this broad head you can go to farad I’m calm and it’ll teach you push you to all. Of our websites to include rage broad heads perfect thank you ryan.

Hello so here’s a quick review of the. Raven crossbow hard case they’re super. Expensive they were on sale at cabala’s. And bass pro for about two 49.99 so i. Did pick one up there little pricey but now that i have this for a couple of. Weeks i noticed that it’s the quality is actually pretty good so as you can see it comes with these awesome heavy-duty. Of wheels and you can wheel around the. Plastic itself is very tough it’s. Very durable it looks like a little coffin but it does protect your crossbow pretty well the handles everything is pretty. Sturdy as you can see the hardware the. Connectors are first class is even a. Little even event here in case you bring. Out an airplane you can always unloosen it so that the pressure i don’t know why it would do that but i guess maybe the. Pressure doesn’t blow the case open or something comes with a pretty hefty. Hinges so you can see over here it’s a. Little hard to see with this light, but they’re pretty beefy they’re not your. Typical hinges that you would see in a. Tupperware or and or any other type of. Cases what’s pretty nice it’s got a. Little gasket seal i try to zoom in here. A little bit so it does keep it air. Tight in the latch is a pretty heavy. Duty but two-step process latch as you. Can see here it does latch pretty well. And here is my crossbow in it there’s. Enough room that i could leave my. Rangefinder attached to it and it still. Closes and there’s no touch points at. All so as you can see with the modifications that i have done to the. Crossbow I’m still able to keep this. Think I’ll keep my rangefinder attached to my. Crossbow and it fits in the case which. Is pretty good I’ll see you in a couple of pockets here and here now you’re able. To keep your crossbow bolts in with it i. Have another one here noose over here. But i can you can always cut into the fold and insert here and bolts into it. Other than that it’s a pretty nice piece unlike the rest the latches for the. Heavy duty attach is real well there’s a. Front one here you see comes off a. Little buckle result goes right on it’s all form-fitted so there’s no movement. Whatsoever there’s a good example of it. Shaking it the whole thing’s shake and your crossbow is pretty sturdy and held pretty tight within it the only addition. That i will probably do is attach a. String maybe down here to up here so. That as i pull it open it won’t let it just fall back like this but other than. That it comes with this little piece of foam here for the additional protection. And it’s actually a very i thought it. Was a very good buy even though it’s very pricey this case works real well. The previous case that I’ve had before. Was a spire and it was okay but you. Could tell from the thicknesses of the. Plastic molding this just for some. Reason it just wasn’t good enough and it. Didn’t close down perfectly either just. Because of the rangefinder i had to put. On it i did do another mod when i took. The bow max case and actually bolted it. Into you can see the bolts right here actually bolt this into the spire top. Case I’ll open it up so you can see what. It looks like as you open it up. Here’s the bolt points see it here with. A washer and only here with the washer. So the spire case is okay but it’s very. Loose because you can see the plastic is. Pretty thin so it’s very flexible i just didn’t feel like this was a good enough case on my reign the raven crossbow so. That’s why i went with the coffin take. It easy.
Hi folks nolan with burkholder archery, so we’re spending a little time out here. On the range taking advantage of this beautiful spring day we’ve got the new 2019 Excalibur micro 360 take down a new. Bow for 2019 for Excalibur so just doing. A little shooting at 60 yards kind of. Want to show you what the factory quill bolts can go coming in a little bit on. The light side i guess at 355 grains with a hundred. Grain tip but the accuracy is unmatched. So you know the bow being three hundred and sixty feet per second you’ve got yourself you know roughly around a 60. Yard effective harvest range so you know we feel that the bolt for that range. Even being a little light it’s still going to get the job done but again a. Super accurate bolt, so we just kind of wanted to show you what this bow can do. With the stock quill bolts so gonna. Shoot a three bolt group downrange at 60 yards and just kind of show you the accuracy. All right so as you can see we’ve got an excellent group downrange they’re probably by looking through the scope probably about a one-inch group maybe a. Touch less so great bow it’s got the. Shakedown feature or just pull the. Stirrup down the head comes off for easy travel easy storage you know. Anything like that but extremely accurate so you got any questions on. This micro 360 take down or the take down. Pro we have both in stock and give us a call here at the shop at five seven four. Seven three zero six or.
