Got a lot of features that i really like it’s a solid frame but it’s pretty light weighs three and a half pounds this section here is holds it rights quite a. Ways away from your body so you get a lot of air flow in there and you don’t get too hot i like that space in there it’s about three inches i guess the. Straps are quite nicely padded in here all the way down and in the back and. Also along the waist belt and it’s a. Women’s specific design so this whole section in here is quite a bit shorter than it would be on regular size it’s. Got adjustable straps in the very top. And around the hip that you can keep it. Pretty snug as well as the straps themselves tighten up and of course it’s got the chest strap as well and it slides up and down so you can make it pretty comfortable so let’s see flip it. Over and on each side has a pouch that. You can put anything you want in it’ll fit a one liter water bottle though and these side straps they tighten up or. They can be loose whichever you like there’s a side pocket on both sides. That’s kind of expands when you put stuff inside it and each side of it has. One of those on the bottom the section. Divides in half right here and inside you can actually have it a kind of. Panel that you can have and separate the top from the bottom or you can do like i have right now and i have it open lots of hooks on the bottom for hanging things on as well i put some clothes and things in here so you can sort of see but that section there is where it fits. In and then of course you can undo the. Top so right over here is a pocket. That’s really well accessible when you’re actually walking use put your hands over your back and grab it so i put things i need during the hike inside sort of more of a safety thing i guess. You can keep things inside this pouch here and then it’s pretty easy to pull. Things out I’ll just open it up and stay so you can see inside I’ll pull out my towel there’s a little strap in there with a little bit of velcro that you can hook things on and. Then again this will be oh yeah i. Forgot there’s a little pouch in here and you can put the water bladder in if. You’re carrying water and there’s a little hole right on the side that you can leave the little bit of a pipe. Through or whatever i usually just have it coming through the top though it’s just pretty easy to do that there’s a. Pouch here just for putting things in that you want to keep maybe maps and stuff things that you want accessible and quick and it’s got lots of straps on. The outside that’s for keeping your poles hiking poles and let’s see what. Else it’s overall it’s really. Comfortable i quite like it and I’ve. Been wearing it a lot and using it a lot lately so that i can get used to it oh. Yeah on the bottom it’s got an opening. That you can pull out the rain cover and. Just get it out here and it’s got a bit of elastic around it covers up the entire pack really quickly and easily and it’s waterproof so it gives you that. Little bit of extra protection so deuter. Long lacing so you can get just the. Right tension and to grab loops to help. You really get your foot in there the. Con seals are super awesome they’re really grippy issues are great they’ll. Totally get you to the top or the bottom of your climbing area I’ve been rock hopping climbing and even. Hiking in these shoes and overall. They’re really awesome shoes they’re. Lightweight they’re super grippy, and they’re you know decently comfortable on your foot you’re nice and lined on the inside for me i. Find these shoes fit really narrow so. They are they’re cut pretty. Narrow and i have a very wide foot so i. Am I finding them to be a little bit pinchy right here at the widest point. And i also found the sizing to be like. Totally out of whack with most other shoe companies for example i usually wear a 39 and that would equate too about. An eighth or an eight and a half these are a seven and a half us, but they are a. 39 and a third european so i got the 39. 1/3 thinking that would fit me i usually wear a 39 and i don’t mind having a little extra room for my toes but my big toe on my big foot only comes. Up to right here so I’m not really. Getting to take advantage of the little rubbery end of the toe and when i. Have been climbing in them they my feet. To sort of slide forward and backward a little bit i also found the back gave me. A fair bit of pressure when i was taking in them it’s not really their intended use so do. Take that with a grain of salt also i think there’s extra pressure because the soul is quite stiff and it’s intended. To be that way of course so that you can edge and smear and you know really make. The most out of these shoes. Did i say yet that i love the color is awesome it’s like great teal color goes with lots of things it’s really subtle so I’m a really big fan, and they’re just really like sleek and sexy looking so i have no. Because we know a lot of people hiking backpack and shoes and don’t wear boots, and so we said you know what let’s look at some good shoes out there and the. Vast jux j u xt this is the men’s just. Hiking shoe is not only good for hiking. But it’s just good for kind of all-around stuff right very attractive good-looking shoe the awesome I’ve been. Wearing it to the gym going around town going to bars passing out in alleys as well. Hiking and backpacking okay use it for a good amount of that and i found it to. Work very well i did some you know minor. Rock climbing type stuff with it you know just kind of like scaling up racks and stuff and huge boulders i don’t you call that bouldering maybe you do i don’t know if that really they don’t add that to my list of experience when you go to the bouldering alley yeah they’re exactly right yeah so i found it in. Those situations that the traction the grip on these was suitable up to the. Task liked it i find the shoes to fit my. Feet well they’ve got a rather high arching them i have high arch so if. Your somebody with a little bit of a higher arch this is probably a good shoot for you if your somebody with flat duck feet you know probably not the. It’s in warmer weather yeah more climates you know i don’t want a huge boobed about halfway up my leg i want something that’s more of a lower profile yeah and you know because in again to it. Also depends on you say like hiker rad you’re also thinking about the amount of weight that york area you know if you’re not caring you know everything including the kitchen sink there’s no need to have some massive boot that you can use to like knock over a wall with right want some through you can almost i mean you could almost take these out to go jogging you know yeah same time yeah no doubt about guys like football in the park with them or something i know that’s right good buddy yeah that’s right so a couple other things about the last that our tempo last again really made for you know an athletic fit for. Shorter distance lightweight technical trails that kind of stuff a symmetrical. Curve which i said great for high arches okay and as we talked about in previous. Episodes places your foot in a more. Powerful position during total are. Usually when I’m having a lot more aggressive hiking on technical trails that’s really a good feature to have. Tapered toe box gives you a lot of room which is you know which is absolutely. True my feet never think they’re all cramped up in half do you see what I’m doing over your get spinning it around but quick do you see it’s like it’s getting every angle 10 of the shoe so. That everybody I’m just saying good doing my part / he really good really good yep so it’s like i. Said got good traction on the bottom it. Features the off-the-grid outsole right. A special vast outsole and yeah durable. Grippy sticky that’s what they say good stuff during p you played in the mid-foot protects from protrusions uneven terrain without adding. Unnecessary weight and with some of the. Terrain i was hiking on it i was dealing. With rach protrusions on the trail right and there’s there was very little even. Ground to walk on it was constantly on rocks you know that feeling when you’re walking on rocks and you’re always like looking for a flat wrap the strap on and. Then sometimes just because you’re moving fast on the trail you end up. Having to step on one that’s just like jutting out of the ground like a freaking knife and it’s true that. The construction of the shoe kind of. Softens the blow of those intruding well it seems like the soul the whole shoes like squishy in the sense that they have some rubber padding yeah hits it’s. Nice you know instead of it being solid yeah just like jarring the pressure up three out of legs yeah so it’s got really good flexibility as you can see which will go a long way towards you. No fast technical trails alright and. Some other stuff about it’s got a. Suede and polyurethane coated leather upper right very nice attractive very. Nice looking shoes is it waterproof you probably know it’s not it’s not not no so there’s no cortex or any of it owe you. Know what it says waterproof on the thing here yeah okay i don’t know why i didn’t i don’t have it in my notes though because they had another there. Was a separate there was a just something or another that was discontinued at some point that was with. Gore-tex but obviously this says waterproof so i guess it is i didn’t really test it for that purpose though interesting thing about that though is that I’ve never found my feet to be you. No getting sweaty i found these to be fairly breathable while i was using them. Was working up a good sweat you know a lot of times with water for boots sometimes people say that you know they find them to be not the most breathable. For obvious reasons and i didn’t have that problem with these they worked very well so it’s got a molded rubber toe cap. Here right so it’s going to last longer time isn’t banging up against them you know the shoes not going to fall apart at the toe cap dual-density ev a footbed. Molded ev a mid sole with tpu plate wow. There you go so lots of good stuff here. If you’re looking for a nice light hiker. That maybe you want to bum around town into and very attractive-looking i would. Think this is one to look into right so go to your local store try it on see if. It makes sense for you this cost ninety dollars I’m drawn to the attractiveness of the ship i like it too it looks like it looks like a cross-trainer sneaker romo yeah and the color the it’s. Millimeter water repellent suede and has a rubber randor on the front and back and laces that go all the way down to the toes for added stability the dragon tail mountain gore-tex boot weighs in at one pound of 4.7 ounces per shoe if. You’re looking for something lightweight and agile these are probably not for you think of these as a solid pair of mountaineering boots just trim down to ankle height that definitely comes with some pros and cons these have really great rock protection incredible durability, and they scramble really well.
