Hey, what’s up everybody coach Kyle here, if you like this video, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel for more content. Today, I have a review of the Nathan speed shot plus insulated flask and I won this from a little giveaway online somewhere and I’m pretty pleased with it it’s insulated, so it can keep your beverages a little cooler.

This is the Kentucky blue. What I really liked about these honestly looking at the website here, is that they have a lot of cool colors like and with all their bottles like nathan is nailing their designs right now. This to no fusion coral is a badass color, but the Kentucky blue is good too, so they this one’s, a 12 ounce.

It has a really nice cap, its a durable cap and I haven’t had any issues with it thus far. I wish this was a little wider because, let’s say I wanted to pour like if I have a large like container of a Gatorade type beverage. The scoop isn’t much smaller than this, so bottles need to have bigger caps. Bottles need to have a larger mouth than any scoop and that’s something that brands need to get get their their button mcdeere with.

So that’s a complaint, but that’s a pretty universal complaint. It would be a big bonus for Nathan if it was a larger mouth, it’s not around a bottle which I really like it’s flat, so it fits really well in here and since this is a 12 ounce, it’s small enough where you can run, and you really don’t have to hold on to it.

It fits so well right here tip if you need to use your hands flip it around, and then you have two hands here. If you need to mess with something else, but um. One thing that is a negative with bottles like this versus a a round bottle, is that with this I can’t quite get it squeezed as easily as if it was a round bottle.

So I have to it’s such a problem, but I have to do a little more work with like sucking it out, rather than just squeezing it out. So that’s kind of an the nature of I find anyway, the flatter more narrow bottles versus the round models, but this flatter shape is more comfortable in the hand. So there’s some give-and-take with that.

As for the design of the handheld itself, it’s it seems pretty pretty sturdy I like that. It has an extra little grip right here. This is this is more narrow, it’s more narrow of a strap here then I often see so I, don’t know. If down the line, that’s gonna be an issue, there’s less stitching, because it’s it’s half as wide so I, don’t know I can’t say for sure.

But anyway it’s a good bottle. It’s easier, it’s easier to remove from here compared to others that I have, which is just a nice little thing when I’m washing it. It’s nice that it’s not a huge struggle to get it in and out of this, so yeah, it’s a great bottle. I would recommend it. It’s $30 at their website, Nathan sports com.

They have a lot of great products, so check them out, but yeah this is, they have a lot. They have a lot of different bottles, but this is a speech shot plus insulated flask, so check it out. Let me know what you think: oh yeah, it’s reflective so another bonus there. So just just a little extra thing that they put on there.

Some the the insulation is, is reflective, so kudos to them for thinking of little things like that, but yeah so check it out. Let me know if you have any questions comments. Have you tried this or something similar? What do you think you.

Hey: what’s up runners flat, it’s got here, dude review. This is a Nathan Speed, Max Plus. Alright new design this year really excited about it. So speed, Max Plus from Nathan you’re, seeing it handheld, 22 ounces, adjustable, strap here. Hands-Free, essentially thumb through the gripper here and what I can do is run with that.

It’s nice and slim, it’s not hitting my hip I’m, not really having to feel like I have to hold on to it the whole time. So I can relax a little bit. They had an ergonomic bottom last year, but it still had a small lid on that small lid. When you’re in the middle of the 50-mile race, 400 mile racer, you know half marathon doesn’t matter, you lose some of the ability of using your fine motor skills when you put a nice big lid on these, like they did on this newest generation.

What you get is something that’s really easy to work with art I like how they redid some of their zipper handles because again, fine motor skills when you’re using a lot of effort in a in a run. It’s a lot easier to get a hold of that than it would be something that’s kind of paper-thin. They also softened up the bottle itself, so it’s a little more pliable, so you can squeeze it a little easier and the bite valve again is a big old bite valve and you can get a big flow of fluid coming in and out.

So, if you’re, someone that likes to have one or two of these- and you don’t want a bunch of stuff strapped on you, you can get a couple of these and have it be real easy for yourself or your crew, really big old compartment on the inside of that carry some gels or your keys or whatever it would be, with some little kind of micro pockets inside there.

If you want to separate some things and then you still have another little pouch on the outside, that you can stick stuff in this same retails for thirty dollars, really easy to use I really like the setup with it. It fits tight, Nathan, speed max plus thanks for joining the run spot.

Hydration option and are perfect for shorter runs when one properly handhelds provide a grip free way to carry your water. Here’s how it works. Hey guys, what’s going on today, I have a it’s. The Nathan speed draw plus 18 ounce. This thing is sweet. It’s probably my favorite handheld water bottle to date. So let’s just get right into it here she is all 18 ounces over. It does come with the pouch on front and if you need a good bit of storage space in your handheld water bottle, I would say that this one bust quite a bit. So actually, let’s just get into it in this handheld I, have my key some door lights, Larabar and my phone, which is not in there right now, but you can see that fits in there and that’s a I phone five, something other I can’t remember decent sized phone, so yeah I fit all that stuff in here now, I, don’t take all that stuff with me and I go running but I know a lot of people want to take a good bit of stuff with them a lot of the times.

I’ll just take I’ll just take my key and really when it comes to this bottle. That’s my only complaint is I. Don’t know come on up, but there’s there’s no little strap in there or any kind of little dividers to help hold your key down. So you know when you’re running you get the jiggly key thing, which kind of gets my nerves. Now you can remedy that by when you put your key in there, you can kind of put it in horizontal and jam it down in there, but you got to be careful.

You want. You want to rip through the fabric on the side, so I’m kind of keeping watch, while not don’t be obsessed with anyone, be totally distracted with your key when you’re on top and then yeah. This thing this thing’s sweet put some water in there, so I could show the race cap cap in general. That cap does not leak which I have had caps in the past, the do leak and that’s not cool man when you’re running you know 1015 miles and you count on your bottle to hold your water and you look down.

Oh cool I’m out four ounces of water. You know so, if you’re like me, you got every ounce of counting four. So you not want your cap to leak, but it comes with the race cap. So you get the race car and get the sweet little bag thing here, and you know you get the nice little bottle as well. It’s got a pull, strap on the back, which this thing works: great clamps down, clamps down perfectly it’s easy to adjust. If you don’t like this thing, flapping around, when you’re on then I just tuck it in and you can tuck it in the hand, strap or whatever or you just tuck it under the actual strap.

So you know where you cut it off. I, don’t cut it off because I know I’ve cut it off and I need it for some reason, but the strap is sweet again. It has the thumb which you know is true. True, hands-free running I, just I love it. So much and a good thing about the thumb is no I. Don’t hear this talked about a lot. Maybe it’s just maybe I’m looking in their own places, but a lot of the traditional hand held bottles. They don’t have the thumb they do this.

So, if I’m flying down a trail and I need to be grabbing trees, how how am I going to grab a tree like this, but like this I can grab a tree and I’ve done it and it’s not. Obviously it’s not as easy if your hands are completely free, but you still have the ability to somewhat you know, grab a tree or or whatever you need to do. Yeah, it’s a sweet bottle, I love it I, love use a lot and again it’s got the nice. It’s got the nice lining on the outside.

It’s on the inside, so it’s rich. It’s really comfortable, there’s a decent bit of padding right there. The padding is just right here and I, really like I, really like this I. Have this problem in the past with another model is try it when you try to get it out of the case super-easy, it’s got a little more flexible stuff. It just comes right out. Look at that. Oh man, I, love that comes right out of that and what’s sweet about this bottle on its own is I.

Have that’s why I’m wearing this hydration best I have the Nathan fire catcher hydration best this baby fits in fits in there perfectly I, don’t even have to clamp it down right here. You don’t even have to use this I just pull right out. It’s awesome, I love it and it’s since the back of the bottle is flat. It lays up against your chest. Just awesome, I love it because I’ve tried to use round bottles and now I’m, just not feeling it.

It just feels goofy to me it’s just it’s really weird and this bottle was just so much different, I’m, so obvious, I, just I’m totally into these bottles. Now absolutely I’m, not a big I, don’t like the hydration bladders I’m, not really into that. I prefer the bottles, and these do they just sit nice on your chest. So, typically, what I do is I, take a 20 and a 10 or 18 sorry, but I call the 20 and just put those in my best, mostly because I don’t have another 20, but uh last time, I checked you couldn’t get you couldn’t get just one of these bottles.

You had to get the whole deal so maybe now you get replacement bottles, I, don’t know and I think I want to say when I bought Beck’s I bought that several months ago it was, it was 25 bucks which is awesome. Price I think I got no problem with that price. At all another cool thing about the case is it? Has this I don’t know like it’s like that, rubbery stuff, that non-slip stuff you know so when it when it goes in the when the bottle goes in the case, since it is that more of elastic stuff it, you know, your bottle doesn’t slip around.

It’s pretty sweet. So that’s my review of the Nathan speed draw plus 18-ounce and it is sweet, can’t say enough. Good things about it. Get yours today, like comment subscribe, do what you do. Happy Trails.

Okay, so today we are going to switch different product today, we’re going to review the Nathan speed, draw plus water bottle for runners walkers, and no light hiking. This retails for approximately twenty five dollars at your local store, running, store, athletic store. Those types of things and I purchased this a couple weeks ago for training runs longer than probably six miles in my prep for the San Francisco Marathon, it’s the first time I’ve ever ran with anything like this and I have to say, yeah it’s.

It’s not bad I’d like to go over some of the features of it and what I think they could make with some improvements. So, first of all, you’ve got the nice bottle. It’s thin. It’s maybe inch and a half wide flat on the back. It’s got the nice harness that comes with it with a carrying case up front. A carrying case is really good for something like these big bars. They just slipped right in I ran the other day with one in there, as well as my keys, and it was perfect.

They also advertise. This case is good enough for the iPhone, and this is the iPhone 5s same size as the five I gather, but it’s it’s a snugger fit and you know it fit there, but it’s going to get might to rub the fabric a little bit wrong and might wear out after a bit so I would remove. The case fly was going to do that if I was going to put my phone in there, this has some unique features in it.

The way this harness functions, your hand, just kind of slips right in and your thumb comes up through that loop and it’s supposed to leave your hands or your fingers free. The concept behind that is is that the more you’re going to squeeze the more tension you’re going to put in your arm the more attention you’re going to have in your shoulders, your back, etc and I have to say this. Actually, the design of this harness works flawlessly.

Here’s where the downside is you get this nice neoprene fabric here, but it’s up against this flat plastic bottle and within about a half a mile on warm day your hand will be sweating profusely right here and you’ll can constantly want to change hands, and all that really does is just give you a chance to drive the other one out for just a second, a recommendation on that would have been to put the same fabric you strip with this down the back, and that would eliminate that that way, you’ve got fabric on both sides.

The other thing is: is it’s got the ounce markings on the back here? I guess: maybe you need those if you’re going to mix an electrolyte drink or something else or if you just can’t, handle all 16 ounces of water if you’re, only good for maybe 10 that day, you’re you’ve got the ounce marker again, that’s pretty bad back there. It doesn’t really matter, it doesn’t work. What would have been a better idea is to put a sight tube right down the side with the ounces marking down the side.

So at any moment you could take a look and you could go: hey I’ve only got 8 ounces left or, if you’re going to mix something hey, I need 10, ounces or 12 ounces. That would have been much better put it on either side and you would have been good to go the ounces in the back here. It just doesn’t work. It’s it’s irrelevant a great feature. This is this positive pressure port in that, if you squeeze or if you suck on it, it will automatically open an internal flap in there and you’re good to go.

You don’t have to pull something out with your teeth. You don’t have to try to close something you’re, not getting water all over the place, so it works. It works really well. Like I said this is the first time I’ve ever bought. Anything like this. Most of my runs are shorter than 6 to 7 miles, but I’ve ran with this the last three days and I, like it other than those minor flaws. I. Think it’s great.

It’s the Nathans speed drop plus I picked it up for $25 at my local running store here. In Northern, Nevada and I’m sure that they’ve got a website as well other than those minor things. I think this is a great product. I think you’ll think it’s a great product, give it a try. Let me know what you think.

Handhelds are a great refillable and are perfect for shorter runs when worn properly handhelds provide a grip-free way to carry your water. Here’s how it works. First, loosen the strap next make a handshake and slip your hand in and upward, until your thumb, slides into the thumb hole by the nozzle. Next tighten the strap or velcro look ma no hands our handhelds come with hard and soft bottle options that are either insulated or not insulated.

If you prefer, your drinks, cold opt for the insulated version. We offer a variety of choices, some with enough storage for a phone and others with just enough storage for your essentials with handhelds water is always in reach.

Hi I’m actor Steve forget their magazine today. I’m testing, interviewing Nathan’s speed, draw plus hand flask most times when I’m heading up for longer runs, I’ll, wear a hydration pack leader and a half or more of fluids, sometimes when you’re going out for just an hour. So you need something like this a small hand model it’s taking a little while to get her under doing it, because it was a lot different from other hand. Goblet tribe I really wanted to give it a good try before I review right off the bat that notice it’s not a conventional bottle, shape it’s more like a flask, where it’s narrow on the size and wide, in addition to the black model that I have here, you can also pick this up in both blue or purple.

All three bottles feature the same 18 ounce plastic size as well as the wrist cavity for really hot leather. You can also pick this up in. What’s called the speed draw plus insulated version, which is the exact same design, only features an insulated glass instead of just the single plastic wall. Construction of this one in order to get a better sense of how this thing works, let’s take it out on the trail for a test run. One of the unique features of this bottle is how it actually fits on your hand.

They have what’s called an ideological grip. Does you see you pass your hand through the back, as well as your thumb through this loop? What that does it? Let your hand fall a fairly neutral position which is similar to how you normally run anyway. So when you’re running you don’t even have to really hold on to this. It stays on by itself. Also, it stays cool in the back because it has breathable mesh here and features this strap, which allows you to tighten or loosen the bottle, as you need to the bottle also features what they call the race cap, which makes it really easy to drink from just tip it up to your mouth, give it a squeeze and you’ll get the fluid that you need for your run without having to mess around with a cat.

Finally, you’ll notice that they have this backpack on the front nice little pocket, which has room for keys snack, even a cell phone everything you need to get through your shorter runs. It actually works really well in the trail and after I got used to it. I found it quite handy for all the runs that were less than now. Let does it for my review. The Nathan speed drop plus flask for more information on this and all the prizes head to Nathan sports com.

I was wearing my camel back, but it was. I also tried carrying a plastic water bottle, but that was frustrating. This is way better. It is less water, so it is lightweight. It is reflective, so I can be seen at dusk can easily be filled and stored in the fridge to be ready for walk, slash, run. I picked this out for walking and running.

It is lightweight, it stays on my hand with the handle. It holds just the right amount of water without being bulky. I really like this bottle, but there was a learning curve to using it. Oh, my god, the bike valve was new to me, but because of the bite valve, you can use this one-handed, which is fantastic. When jogging, it’s not huge, but that’s good, because since it’s soft-sided it would be floppy and unwieldy if it was any bigger.

I love the size of this water bottle. The color is great. The price is great, very durable and easy to clean. This is a great thing for runners, as well as anyone who wants to have a water bottle phone key and nothing else with them. It would be good for day use while backpacking, since it’s pretty compact, I love running with this.

It fits like a hug for my hand with the adjustable strap. It’s easy to sit from no need to tilt it up, and the nozzle is good holds plenty, but not too much water and it’s got a separate pocket for em. What more could you ask for click link in description for more reviews.

Hi there today I like to take a look at ml, silicone water carrier. So over here you see, there’s the 1000 marking. This is a nice and this is no leak, guarantee BPA, PVC, free temperature range top rack, safe, hydro pack, 1 liter, 32, fluid ounces. You’ve got this silicone ring over here took on two things, and this kind of hard operate with one hand and because it’s a twist top not a pop top and then for the little chair you pop this open and when, when it is empty, then you can scrunch it all up and stuff it.

So it’s a pretty small little package I’ll go fill it up. So when you fill it up, it is about nine inches by five inches. It is a little difficult to fill up just because it’s like filling up a water, water balloon or something you know, there’s nothing to hang on. -. There’s nothing horror down here. So the only hard place hang on to is right here around this ring around the top there. So I kind of hold it like this and then I fill it up. The the opening is a you know, pretty much that and then the other thing I don’t really like about it.

Is you twist this to open this? Alright, you twist this well in order. You also twist to undo this. So with the two twists. I, don’t know it’s just a little bit funky, it does seem. Oh and you do need to use quite a bit of force to to push water out of here. But if you push you know from the bottom, then it’s good. It seems to be strong and it’s basically like a water bladder. So it’s nice that when it’s empty, then it squishes down to you know pretty pretty small package and then like that, so there you go up there.

Any questions go ahead and leave them in the comments below. Otherwise, thanks for watching.

Mooses Gear goo review, I’m moose and today I got a water bottle thing to review, and this is it alright. So this is the hydro pack stash 750 milliliter flexible bottle, so got a lot of information right off the product stuff. Here we have bpa, PVC, free and then beyond lifetime guarantee. So I guess, if anything happens, if it gets punctured or something stupid, you know you should be able to replace it.

As you can see with this little diagram, it extends to this, and then it squishes it down to like a little hockey puck doughnut. So it’s a 42 millimeter wide mouth screw cap flexible, carry handle backcountry water filter, compatible, 100%, BPA and B PVC free collapses down to one quarter of the size and can be frozen or filled with hot water.

Well, that’s crazy! Now that being said, heíd effect does make some other cool stuff and they make flasks and they did partner up with katadyn water filters and they were able to create a system with a very good water filter, and that would also fit on to this cap and maybe I’ll be able to demonstrate that in a second. As far as the actual branding on the bottle, we have hydro pack here we have no leak, guarantee BPA, PVC, free sixty degrees to 104 degrees, Fahrenheit and hand wash.

So you can hand wash this. There is markings as far as milliliters in volume, so you’ll be able to do that and yeah, and it’s called the hydro pack stash. So it’s 25 fluid ounces. Now we’ll say the cap is actually really robust, it’s a hard plastic, but then it has kind of like this grippy rubbery ring around the edge, and it also has this kind of rubberized hanging handle.

That is actually feels like the same material as around the seal of the cup or the lid. There is no tether to the actual lid as far as making sure that once you take it off, it actually attaches to the bottle there isn’t. So if you lose the cap, you’re kind of out of luck, but don’t lose the cap and that it is a wide mouth now. One thing is because it’s a flexible water bottle, if you have water in it and you squeeze it or somehow miss hold the bottle, it will splash.

Although reach that’s one thing, you need to be aware of, because it’s already happened to me a bunch, but I do like that. It’s freestanding it feels pretty rigid when you’re actually holding it and when you do hold it, you kind of want to hold it by this lip here and that’ll help. You hold it if it is flexible and kind of push and I’ll kind of almost two handed, but whatever I believe these are also kind of stackable as to the vacant area down at the bottom.

So we can actually test that see if it’s yeah. So if you have these a couple of these, you can actually kind of compress them and stack them oops. So pretty neat, so yeah I’ll show you how to shrink this down and collapse. It so and then I’ll also show you how to open them, because that’s a trick to in itself to open this thing, bow that I really like it so check it out so yeah, okay, so to collapse.

It originally there’s this white little sticker around here. That said, squeeze here to open it well, I’ll show you how to open in a second but I recommend that when you collapse it, you actually twist it so first off you want the cap off and then you want to compress as you twist down and then you kind of press it in, and you want to make sure all the sides are tucked in then you kind of tuck one edge underneath these little lips and now as you’re doing that you kind of press and clip it in and then it is compressed boom, like so scroll the cap back on, and now you have a very compact expandable water bottle.

That’s actually really light forgot. What the weight is on this thing, but it is light. It’s 2, 5 ounces, so pretty lightweight collapsible water container. That seems really good I, like the fact that it’s a wide mouth so now here’s how you open it so, like you said you had to squeeze so you kind of have to put two fingers right on the edge and you find a spot where there isn’t a lip or something or there is one I, don’t even know, and you press or you press until one of these edges pops open there.

You go like that and then you kind of just squeeze as it pops open around and untuck it’s good to have the cap already unscrewed -. So then I can just fill with air. So there you have it. That is how you do it twist it down and it’s boom. Then you squeeze the one side and pop it open. So there you go guys. This is the Hydra PAC stash 750 milliliter.

Definitely a cool water bottle I’ll, put links in the description below. As far as where you can pick one of these up, probably an amazon link get the most up to date. Price I also put a link to the water filter that works with this nozzle as well. It’s very cool I know that please like comment and subscribe check. The I in the upper right hand corner for other videos like these two extra videos over here.

Hydro pack, soft flask that I recently purchased at REI. There are three different models. This is the largest of the three the SF 750, the SF 750 holds 25 3, fluid ounces, retails for $20 95, the other two models: the SF are the SF 500, which hold 16 9, fluid ounces, cost 1995 and the SF 350, which holds eleven point. Eight ounces and retails for 1895. The dimensions of this model are 4 25 by 10, 5 inches, it’s constructed from PVA free polyurethane or assume a thermoplastic urethane, and it weighs- or this model weighs two point.

Four ounces I like this model or this type of hydration bottle, because it is made of similar material to the typical water bladders that you can put in the hydration packs, so I it does pack down so as you’re drinking it’ll. You can no compress this I want your finish. Drinking takes a very little room in your pack or wherever you’re, you know whatever. However, you want to carry this another nice feature of this Hydra pack. Soft flask is the bite valve which is located here.

So it has a cover, prevent dirt and debris from getting in and then here is the bite valve and it works just as you know, just like any other water bladder already bite down. What’s the water in that you’re drinking the water from this flask, it will is you’re sucking air out of it. It will crumple up as you’re drinking and what I liked what I found useful was after I would I would drink the water and it would compress I’d simply bite down on the bite valve and blow air into it, and then that’ll bring it back to its.

You know normal rigid shape. It does have a nylon loop here, so you can attach it when you know with a d-ring to your backpack or whatnot, it does have space here. Also, you can touch, you know paracord or something like that to it, and then it has this cord right here to prevent the dust cover from falling off getting lost. Another neat feature is by turning this bezel. Here you can turn the intake on or off so that water does not escape out of here. It does have a fairly wide opening, so you can fit ice cubes in here.

It’s also makes a little easier to clean. Both sides of the the water bottle are made of a rigid plastic or somewhat rigid plastic. It’s still soft pliable, but is more rigid than this. The main body I wasn’t sure. If I would like this, this water bottle, but after using it on vacation recently I found it really really a convenient, and it also is great draw on a plane. You can fill this up at the airport after you go through security or and then you know, I draw wire on the plane as you’re drinking it’ll get smaller and he was easily stowable.

So that’s my review of the Hydra pack, soft flask SF 750 bottle. If you have any questions, please go ahead and leave a comment below. Hiya J here this week, I’m talking about that collapses away for you, saving on size and weight when it comes to backpacking now, I’m going to tell you all about the different features of this thing and also some tips and tricks that I’ve learned along the way so stay with me and we’ll check out this nice collapsible water bottle. This is the first time to my channel thanks for coming by. As always, the links to all the products are down below in my description and if you would subscribe and like that, would be awesome.

I’d love to have you, along for the ride, I, put out new videos every Thursday on outdoor gear and such now. Let’s talk about the water bottle, so, let’s start with the concept. The concept is to have a collapsible water bottle that is lighter than a stay average water bottle. Now, when it comes to one of its same volume like this Camelback, this Camelback is almost six ounces. This is three ounces, so it is considerably lighter. It is fifty percent lighter than a normal water bottle, and what’s nice is when you’re, backpacking or even just having it along for a day, hike or whatever? You can collapse it away once it’s empty and it becomes incredibly small when you look at the size difference, so that’s kind of the concept they’re going with there so now.

What is it actually made out of you’ve got your plastic ends, your bpa-free plastic ends, but then what is all this? This is TPU material thermoplastic polyurethane is what this is, and that makes sound kind of creepy, but I’ve looked it up, and this is used in so many different water bottles and in pouches and different things, it’s actually used in medical equipment as well. So it’s a safe product. They say the only way, that’s not safe. Is you put something in here to actually break that material down like a like a real heavy chemical, or something like that? But water pop drinks that type of stuff it’s completely safe for consumption and and for human beings? But what it is is because it’s that TPU, it’s so flexible and it can just twist and can put compact right down- it’s also incredibly durable.

So my son has been using this for over a month now and we had him use it at school and in his backpack, so he just kind of crushes it in his backpack and and then drinks and then crushes it back down and has used it the way it’s supposed to be used and it’s held up just absolutely fabulous. So beyond the unique features of being half the weight of a normal water, bottle it being able to collapse down to nothing and store away, how does it work as a water bottle? Well, this is what we found before full.

You can kind of see that it’s sort of it’s it does keep its form. It doesn’t collapse down. Turning you can collapse it, but it kind of springs back up, so it does hold its form without water, but let’s put water in it and you can see how, because how how stable it becomes when you actually put water into the water bottle. Now this water bottle itself is 25 ounces and they make them in larger sizes as well, and you also make them in bladders and all types of different product now for backpacking, camping and wilderness activities, so I have a 25 ounce, Camelback and a 25 ounce, hydro pack right here so now here it is, it’s got its full its to like just below the actual cap area.

I can set it down like a normal water bottle, and then it won’t spill. So that’s kind of cool how it actually stays is a water bottle. The difference is how you grab it. You do never. You never want to grab it actually in the TPU material here, the middle, because it’ll just squirt, so you have to get used. This is where you have to adapt to the water bottle. You always have to grab it by the rim, the top part, and then you can drink from it. That way, now you put the cap on so with the cap on.

You can see that it really holds its shape, no problem. You can tip it over, but it stays up really well with that. Actual plastic base and it slides into a backpack, really easy a side pocket. Those types of things hold again keeps its shape where it becomes a little bit different. Where you have to change your thinking is when you actually take it off the cap off. You can’t grab it here, because it’ll just squirt out, so you always have to grab it by that top plastic part, and it’s not bad drinking from it, but you can see as I when you go like this.

It kind of bends and right now it’s full. It’s not a big deal, but when you get down into a lower amount, you’re gonna always want to kind of grab that bottom plastic piece and guide it up. Otherwise, it’ll just bend over when it gets to be about halfway. So you just kind of grab it by the bottom or just push it by the bottom, and it’s really not that hard to drink from you just have to get used to that. It’s different! That’s all there is to it now. Another cool thing is: if you drink it down, let me just pour it in here see you can see how it droops over.

If you don’t actually grab the bottom one, but now say you’re actually or at half water bottle. What’s cool about that is you can actually collapse it down twist it and now you’ve got a smaller, smaller actual footprint for the you’re, putting in your backpack and you’re, not taking up all that extra space that this empty water bottle would be taking. So that’s another unique thing is that you can actually collapse it down and seal it off so that it stays smaller in your pack as well.

So now that I get it halfway, you can kind of see if I just try to drink from it. It just droops over. So you just put your hand your thumb or when I’m right there and you just push up on the bottom plastic and it works just fine. No, the last thing I’ll talk about is the actual cleaning of these. My son’s use nothing but water in here. You could certainly use energy drinks in those types of powders or whatever in here, but you’re gonna have to clean it and you’re gonna have to use one of those.

Fine scrubbers like you would use in like a Camelback or any other bladder type thing. Hydro Peck also sells tablets that you drop in that really sanitize and clean. It I’d, rather just kind of use it for water and keep it as clean as possible. Let it dry out on its own and then use the brush to actually clean it up, but you definitely want to use a brush that doesn’t have metal at the bottom, the one we have has a nice little rubbery tip on it and then brushes around the outside.

So that way, when you get in a corner, you can actually scrape the corner with the rubbery tip, but you’re not gonna, actually scrape and scratch any of this TPU material. So, if you’re thinking about getting into a collapsible bottle like this excellent for backpacking excellent for day, camping, bicycling, anything where you want to just collapse it away when it’s done I’d say go for it. They hold up they’re made well they’re, made out of good materials. This company’s been around they’re, coming out with even more bladders and different things that you can use in the backcountry and, like I, said -.

It truly is half the weight of a normal water bottle. Now some people would say: I feel safer with a hard knowledge in styled water bottle, there’s a camel back, but because it’s not as puncture this could puncture I guess I would always carry two water bottle sources. So that way, if this did puncture, you would be able to. But you’d have to really have something sharp poking against this, because this is a really strong material. People can actually, you can stand on them and they don’t burst or anything.

But of course it is kind of rubbery, so it could get punctured. So you might want to have something. That’s that’s a little tougher water bottle with you as well, or two of these for that matter. That would work fine as well now I want to know what do you think about a collapsible water bottle like this? Is it useful? Is it something that you would carry when you backpack, and maybe you found this video useful if you did if you could hit like and subscribe? If you want to get one of these yourself, you can check out the description down below I, put a link to my Amazon affiliate for it it is hydro pack, it’s not hydro.

It’s Hydra pack- and this is the hydro pack stash the smaller version and there’s actually a larger version too. You could get one of those as well, but I think you’ll be pretty happy with them. They’re unique, they’re neat. If you get used to drinking out of it, it’s not a big deal at all till next time, just remember life’s a hike, so hi Cappy with a collapsible water bottle thanks so much for sticking around to the end of the video. If you’re new to my channel, if you hit subscribe, that’d, be awesome, I put out new videos every Thursday around outdoor gear and, if you’d like to support me, you can check out my merchandise.

You.

So I thought I’d review. My new water bought this because I’m running Pikes Peak in a couple weeks and I really wanted a water bottle because I know hydration is extra important during that race, because it’s at elevation, so I really wanted something to bring with me. The water bottle I’m upgrading from I got a couple of these little sports wine, guys that I bought at Walmart that are pretty cheap, but I got by with them for a while, but I definitely wanted something a little bit a that held more water and B.

That was a little bit sturdier and would hold up. So that was my motivation in full discloser. This is the second water bottle of use, so I don’t have a lot of basis to compare it to just my old Sportsline model here, but overall I really liked it. It’s got a Auto closing valve in it, so you don’t have to worry about spilling or anything like that.

You don’t have to worry about opening a cap or anything like that. It just automatically comes out if you do want it to close it down tight, so it won’t come out. Even if you squeeze it, there isn’t a valve here at the top that you can just turn and then no water will come out at all got a screw cap that comes on and off really easy.

It’s got grips so even if your hands are sweaty, I can easily put that on. Take it on and off one thing I like about it too is the mouth on. This thing is kind of a rubbery plastic, so you don’t have to worry about ripping your teeth. It’s insulated! So that’s a nice feature. It keeps your water or sports drink cool.

It’s got this zippered pack here. That in theory, is supposed to be able to hold your phone I have a samsung, s4 and it’ll, just barely close with that in there, and it’s so tight that I, wouldn’t even trust that I’d be afraid it was gonna, bend or or burst the seat at the seams, or something like that. So I, wouldn’t, if you got a modern big cell phone I, wouldn’t count on being able to fit that in there.

If you got a taller one, you could probably fit it in there and just leave it open. If you really have your heart set on that, but it’s plenty of space for some gels or you know nutrition Yorkies. Maybe you know some change or something like that, but I wouldn’t really count on it being able to fit your phone in there there’s also another little weave on the side here for more room, there’s a little strap that goes along the bottom, so that it doesn’t vertically slide up which is kind of nice.

It’s also lined with this reflective material all the way around, which is a good safety feature. If you run into the dark like I, do I get up early in the mornings during the summer to run before it gets too hot. The handle itself is nice and padded. It’s got this padding underneath here that you hangs and slide through.

It’s got an adjustable, strap I have noticed that the strap doesn’t really stay down that. Well, you kind of have to keep tightening it every once in a while. It tends to kind of undo itself, but that’s just a minor qualms. Another minor qualms I have with it. Is there really isn’t any wear for your thumb to go? There’s no thumb, strap work and there’s not really an ergonomic place for your thumb to go.

So you just kind of hold it like this and your thumb, wherever you want to put it there, are these little indents here, I, don’t know if that’s the idea, where some kind of goes, but it’s not I, don’t know. I haven’t found a real great way for your thumb, to kind of sit like that, but overall I really liked it I had any problems with rubbing my hand, the wrong way or anything like that.

So so far, I’m pretty impressed with it I’ll see how it does for my first race with it right now. I’m just using on chuan training runs when I want to have some hydration with me, especially in the seat I paid like $27, something like that on Amazon, where I bought it. It has pretty good reviews on Amazon as well, so I guess I’m, not alone in being pretty impressed with it.

So it’s a lot of money for a water bottle, but it seems to be you know: do the job pretty well so I think I would recommend it. If anyone has any other water bottles, they’ve used that they would really recommend to me. I would love to hear about it. Like I said I, don’t I, don’t like when I run, marathons I, don’t usually bring my own water bottle.

I just take you know it’s sports ring from water at the at the stand, so I really only got this mostly for training runs and for this one trail race and if I do more mountain trail, races in the future. That kind of thing but I would love to hear about other options. People you know what people like give it a shot if you’re looking for a new water bottle, thanks for watching I’ll, be back with more gear reviews, training tips and race reviews.

My favorite one was the Camelback and I’ve never seen this model before it’s the same water bottle that a lot of my friends use cycling. It is an insulated bottle or if you can see here when you squeeze it, you can see the there’s two layers of of plastic and then inside it’s in the middle. It’s an insulated material and it does keep keep the bottle from sweating when it’s real hot out and in the winter it keeps it from freezing as quickly as well. A lot of people I know really like this water bottle, and this worked really well.

It cinched down really really tight and locked in place and it does. It is reflective material if you can see it in the in the video, but the silver is is reflective like a 3m, material and I like this yeah downstairs, it’s not flapping around cool and and the pouch is a little bit smaller than the other ones, but enough for a do and and a set of keys this nozzle actually locks in place, that’s actually open, so you can squeeze and get water and then it locks in place.

So it completely shuts the valve off when it’s open, there’s actually another piece inside that. If you’re running it doesn’t it, it might leak a little bit, but not much so when, when you’re traveling, you might have a full water bottle in your bag, you want to lock it in place and then it doesn’t leak at all, no matter what so it’s nice to have that option to totally lock it out in place or if you’re gonna be taking a few sips eating the power bar or something and then take a few more sips.

You don’t have to lock it out, because it’s not gonna leak or if it does, it won’t make much with all of them. I would just walk back and forth. I would flip the strap up, yeah swap hands, yep, tighten it back down because I wanted to even out the yank my hand would get yeah some guys wear one on each hand and finger balanced, yeah I guess runs yep. This would be good and then I’ve got the alternative of taking this off and use it. It isn’t just a normal water bottle.

Alright bike, which tide bike a lot so yeah for me, this is this is the best choice for me. Oh no, if you guys know but Rob’s a pretty big deal on a bike. Yeah, that’s pretty good huh.

Today, we’re taking a look at the amphipod Hydrofarm ergo light ultra handheld bottle in 20 ounces. The key feature with this is that it’s insulated, and that’s really the big feature with this there’s not a lot of these handheld bottles out there that are gonna come with the full feature set that this one includes, but also are insulated, which just makes perfect sense if you’re out in hot or cold weather, and you want insulated beverage inside you’re running bottle. So let’s take a look at these.

Some of the other features that kind of set this apart. It has three gel pack holders on the outside here. It can quickly squeeze your gel packs in there. If need be, it’s very comfortable and easily adjustable on the hand, hold the hand hold holds really well, and it also has a little thumb loop here, so very comfortable, very easy to hold on to it’s ergonomically shaped, so it handles pretty well and it’s not gonna feel like a burden on the run. Now. One of the key things with this particular design is that this large pouch on the outside has a few little cool features.

It has this nice little key fob here which allows you to hook on anything really neat to that has a loop and it has a little dividing pocket on the inside, which allows you to stick wallet keys money, whatever you need in there and what they claim is that you can stick an extra large smartphone inside this pouch and let’s go ahead and test that really quick. If you’re foolish enough to have bought the iPhone, 6 plus or the galaxy note like I have- and this is the 6 plus you’ll notice- that’s it’s really hard to carry that on a run.

So if we stick this inside this pouch here it’s a bit of a squeeze, but it fits looks a little funny, but it actually does fit. This kind of neoprene outer stretches to hold it very well and yeah. It’s not bouncing around at all. So if you have a big smartphone, this is going to work for you just as well. The cap has the new jet system, which really is just an improvement on this little nozzle here, and it works fine. So if you’re looking for a running water bottle, that’s you’re not gonna have to really hold on to.

You can just hook a strap on to it’s comfortable. It’s gonna keep your beverage insulated in the hot weather and can carry a very large smartphone. This is a great option for you, I’m Pat Baum, and thank you for watching. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call at one. Eight, eight, eight to nine three, three, nine three four or visit us at.

You walk into any store and you’re gonna find a water bottle with a big ol that mean that it’s a safe bet stay tuned, because today we’re gonna be talking about picking the best water bottle, I’m, Michele, fennec house and I’m. Here once again with the lovely Andrea, Beaman and Lisa Luton, we are health coaches, which means we are just as interested in the theories behind health and wellness as we are and helping you put it into practice every day and one of those everyday things.

It may seem a little bit silly, but it’s a water bottle. Am I right? We all have one of these- hopefully, hopefully, hopefully we’re not just sucking down coffee all day, long, I. Think more and more people are realizing that drinking water is the way to go, not the soda, not the juice drinks, but when we’re buying bottled water, that’s not a great idea for the environment and it’s not a great idea for our health, because the plastic contains endocrine disrupting chemicals that you do not want in your body, so we’re buying reusable bottles and that’s great BPA.

Free plastic is definitely a good. First step, but a water bottle has to be functional. So what’s your favorite Andrea, my favorite functional water, bottle well, I’m, a rugged kind of gal and I need something. That’s durable! That I could take on my hikes because I love hiking all over the place and it needs to be bpa-free and not leak. So like this is a REI. You know the store. The REI co-op store, I think it’s called recreational, something or other like I, don’t know what the REI actually stands for great cool.

You know that you know whenever you purchase their, then they give to the environment everything back. It’s great, so I love this bottle because it is rugged. I can drop it on the rocks, it can fall down on the Mount and it’s not gonna crack it’s BPA free. It’s also has an attachment right so that I don’t ever have to worry about losing the top, and you know, I haven’t had any trouble with it.

I can put warm liquid in here, but not hot I can put room, temp and cool and then I have another bottle. It’s my hydro flask, and this is for hot liquids right. So if I, if I’m hiking and it’s cold and I want a hot coco or you know like a hot, you know toddy or you know, mulled cider thing like that. Then it goes in my hydro. Flask cause, it’s gonna, keep it what it’s gonna, keep it warm all day, long and I don’t have to worry about it and it’s also BPA free.

So those are two of my favorites. What do you got? Lisa, oh my god. So I was using this plastic cup for a long time and it was BPA free, but I thought I really want to upgrade to glass and I went on Amazon and I thought. Oh, my goodness, there’s so many choices, so I did what Lisa fashioned I ordered like nine of them have enough family members. I can give them two, but it was I was really happy.

I did because they’re all so different and I just want to share a few things with you that I realized. So when you’re buying your own. The first thing I realize is that when I’m drinking water at home, I really love a straw and I know it is plastic, but it’s less plastic and it’s a glass container and this company lol ello they make a number of glass cups with straws that are fabulous. They totally of my endorsement I think they’re super great now when it came to going to the gym, though, I wanted something like a little bit more durable, something that wasn’t going to spill and so ordered a whole bunch of these babies, and what I found was that there were really big differences, for example, the Camelbak.

You know it was really nice to hold I could see the liquid, but this rubber spout. You have to kind of chew. They put your teeth down to. Let the water come out and I found that I wasn’t drinking as much water as I. Usually do so. I was getting a little dehydrated because it was such a slow amount of water to come out. Same thing was true for this life Factory one, it’s very cute. It has a nice little handle to carry, but I found this little spout.

You have to get in the exact right, angled position to get the water, or else it stops that gets frustrating when you’re grabbing your water in the middle of the workout. You know, and it was like uh-huh. So this one here is my favorite. It’s called Zuzu’s or oh and what’s so cool is it comes standard with three different tops? You can one with a straw, one that is just kind of a little bit of a open spout and the other one is a total open spout.

So it’s totally your preference for me. I can drink more water. This way didn’t think I like this one I did, and so it also has a nice little handy dandy. Carrying thing so I would say my vote. Hands down is this Zuzu row and they use the URL I can put a link in the Facebook group to it. It’s also like a woman owned business she’s like I, think a mom entrepreneur, so I, really love springing up and then I’ll put witness lo1 as well, is just downright fabulous.

So that’s my take on the Battle of the water bottles. Did your homework on that product design is very important in everyday items. Right, especially, you know, you’re dropping a good amount of money on these things right to last a long time, and you want to be functional. Yeah reason that I think this conversation is so important beyond what bottle we’re gonna order off Amazon after we do. The hospice is because of the topic of hormones.

Hormones play a major role in our health and the chemicals found in plastic like BPA. Not only BPA, however, are known to be endocrine or hormone disrupting they get into your system and they throw everything off so women with terrible PMS or menopause symptoms hormones. Obviously right thyroid problems. You got a hormone problem: how about insulin resistance? Guess what insulin is a hormone? – I actually have an article on my website.

It’s called a new perspective on hormone disruption and weight loss. We could link to that in the show notes, but I think this is really really important. We want to get the plastic out of our lives as much as possible, so I’m gonna tell you when I went looking for a water bottle, I look for something with as little plastic as possible or none at all, and you were talking about glass bottles, Lisa I, don’t know, but did you notice the first time you switch from like plastic to a glass bottle and you put it in your bag, how much heavier your bag? Yes, yes, it is true.

Glass bottle is heavier, but I always thought. Maybe it would break on me that has never happened. I’m the one I’m using now is from contigo is the brand it’s made entirely of glass with this silicone sleeve on the outside, which keeps it from breaking, because I have dropped it and the attached lid is stainless steel, which the water barely touches anyway. But even if it does it’s, the water never touches any plastic whatsoever and it doesn’t leak even if it’s sideways in my bag and I really do like that.

It has no straw. So there is no piece of plastic floating in my water all day long. So like that, this is the best one that I found yeah, oh my god, so many water bottles to choose from. Hey guys today, I’m gonna be reviewing handheld water bottle, it’s ten huh, it’s ten ounces. It does come with the thumb, hole grip which I absolutely love. It’s got a nice velcro strap super easy and you’ll really clamp it down. While you’re running it doesn’t have. It doesn’t have very much storage space, which is fine with me. It does have a little velcro pocket right there. You, probably you, could fit a gel in there I.

Imagine I, don’t know that I ever have most important for me as it fits my giant key and how I typically put it in there, except for you guys. Oh well, first of all, I usually put it in there not wearing it. So there’s a tip right there, but anyways put it in put the velcro in, and you know it’s not coming out and the pointy part of the key I always have it sticking out the top. So it doesn’t rip a hole in the mesh and eventually fall out somewhere on the trail and then I get back to my car I’m like oh gee and I’m Mikey, that’s cool! No, it’s not cool makes for a bad day.

So keep that in mind, but one of the downfalls are doing that is I’m, somebody that you know I’m always wiping the back or the you know, wiping the face, the backs of the hands and a couple times I might have poked myself, scratched myself so definitely watch out for that you don’t want to lose an eye on the trail either the now when the keys not in there I’m. You know when I wipe it, it feels.

Ok, it doesn’t seem to be too it’s not too sharp or anything, and then they have the nice soft lining. Anyways all around you know the edges on the outside, as well as the inside. It’s it’s very, it’s a very comfortable handheld and there I got no issues with this thing at all. I love it and the thumb hole was just fantastic for the you know the hands-free running it really. You know you can really just feel like you’re running.

Naturally, you might inadvertently grip onto the bottle. You know hearing their, especially if you’re struggling or whatever, but you know, just relax and just get your hands back to the way you know this should be so yeah awesome, handheld love it one complaint with it’s, not a total like doesn’t totally kill a product for me and it was more of an issue in the beginning than it is right now. But this thing is, the bottle is so hard to get out of the case.

I mean I, tried, I tried everything when I first got it. Cuz I was like. Surely these are these are buttons somehow and it should release the the case from it or whatever and nope no they’re, not those are not buttons. Those are not buttons. Now. You would think that this one was like this one for sure Lee’s got to be a button, somehow releases it. No, no it doesn’t. It does not do that unless I’m a completed it I’m partially an idiot, so you know like it could be my fault.

Maybe there is a way as some magical formula, some Rubik’s Cube type stuff, to get this thing out of there, and if somebody knows about it, please say something in the comments. So I don’t have to do this and when I first got it, it was really really hard to get off there, but you can see now. You know that was rough. That was relatively simple and it might also have something to do with you know it’s pretty warm right now, because I’ve really been handling it, and you know it seems to go on and off fairly easy right now, but when I first got it, it was really hard to get out and I was really concerned about.

You know damage in it. Somehow you know I even looked all over the internet and I was like. Surely there’s got to be somebody that knows how to take this thing off to clean it or whatever to refill it or I. Don’t know nothing. I couldn’t find anything. Maybe there is now I, don’t know, but that’s what I came up with just manhandle it, the newer hmm, it’s the quick is the quick draw plus. Maybe I can’t remember it’s it’s.

It’s got the same shape as this bottle, but it’s 20 ounces. It’s actually. They call it an 18 ounce and it comes out of there very easily it’s more of an elastic material. But anyway, that’s oh I. Have that bottle. I’ll do review on that in the future. This is for the more minimal. You know, 10 ounce run and it’s awesome. It’s rugged super rugged. One of my major concerns with running with a handheld in the beginning.

Was you know what do I do? What do we do if I fall like? Ideally, you don’t want to fall on your palms anyways, especially on concrete, but a lot of a lot of us do or you initially break your fall a little bit and then you shoulder roll or whatever it just seems like the hands naturally come out and that’s fishy when you’re on the trail, because you like looking for something to grab or something to break your fall or whatever, but the first time I fell on this thing.

I fell hard like I was running downhill flying through the air right onto a rock I mean it was just. It was brutal right onto rock and it I thought for surely I was like, surely I broke. This thing I was worried because I was pretty far out and I hadn’t started drinking my water, yet so I was like I need, I’m gonna need this water soon and I was worried, I broke the bottle and the water was gonna go everywhere, but it was a beast man.

It didn’t it didn’t damage it at all. Some water came out of the race cup, you know squirt it all the race, cop or whatever, but I didn’t lose any water and I had some dirt and stuff down in there. But whatever I’ll take that over losing my water so awesome hand, he’ll love it I can’t remember the price on it, I’m sure you can get it for about 20 bucks now, I’m, pretty sure I mean I, don’t want to say all my say: I got this for 15 bucks.

This is an older model, so there’s a lot of the ones. Now have the pouch on the front. I, don’t even know. If you get this model anymore, I hope he can I wouldn’t discontinued this. It’s awesome so yeah anyway. That’s where I’m at my review. I hope this was helpful. The Nathan quick-draw 10 ounce handheld can’t go wrong. Happy trails.

Keys gels, water and more my first running, vest well worth the dollar sign slow on delivery, but a great vest. I purchased the extension straws as it was awkward to drink from the bottles and the vest. I am so impressed with this vest it’s so light and has many pockets. I’ve been using this to train for a trail marathon. It has been crucial. It fits plenty of water plus my phone and goose.

While I’m running, I love the soft water containers. They are easy to carry and work great. You.
