Hey what’s up guys today i got a review on some binoculars these are the cabala’s compact 12 by 25 intensity hd. Binoculars stick around and we’ll see a. Little further so i want to propel is the other day for the intent of looking for binoculars that are small still have plenty of zoom, and they also have a good. Picture and this is what i found first. We’ll go ahead and start here show you guys how small these get it’s a cabala’s. They call it the hd intensity binoculars. Very small you could fit that inside. Your pocket one thing that came with is. This carry case here very nice very nicely padded it’s pretty. Durable it seems like I’d definitely be putting those in there it also came with cover caps and i already took those off. They fit really snug but i just for what. I use it for i don’t really need them all right i don’t like them i should say so the next thing I’ll show you here is the focus knob it’s a very low-profile. It’s its great for when you don’t have gloves on but when you do it’s a little hard to find because it’s so low profile, and then they also have the focus right here that’s very low-profile as well i do like this fact that way you’re not. Gonna be able to bump it that much or as much as what you would with bigger ones but um if like i said if you’re wearing. Gloves or something like yeah it’s a little hard to find just because it’s its flush with this bottom part here the brace in the middle next thing i want to talk about is the eye relief turrets i think they call these eye cups so right here I’ll go ahead and take them out they don’t come out too much but it’s perfect for looking through the lens they’re real sturdy right now. They are anyways they’re not broken in or anything like that, and they work out really well so one. Think i don’t like about these binoculars is these straps they’re very. Flimsy it seems like really cheesy I’m. Not a big fan its kind of it was kind of hard to get them to feed through right here these little eyelets and then also the clips on here really cheesy. I mean they’re they’re pretty thin plastic it seems like and if you pull on it enough it will slide down i actually did have one fall out while i was hunting and i had to wait till i got back to put it back together because it’s that hard to feed it through here especially in the cold so these came in at a price right around one hundred and eighty dollars before tax probably a little overpriced. For what they are it’s their only twelve by twenty-five s like i said but um they’re hd i mean it shows a really good picture and i actually took a video a couple weeks ago. Of these are of the with the camera. Inside of the lens so you can really you could get a good look and even through. The camera it still gave a really good picture so I’ll go ahead and post that on here now and see what you guys think. But thanks for watching and hope you. Lot you may want to look at a lighter set of binoculars but these are really good fairly inexpensive you get a lot for. Your money as you do with all nikon products the adjustment for the distance. Between your eyes is very easy it has a. Nice smooth focusing ring single diopter. Focusing ring and again if you don’t. Know how to do that we made a video on how to adjust your binoculars to get them focused in the educational video section these also have a nice rubber. Eyepiece so it’s comfortable to use. These binoculars also one thing i need. To mention is these are not waterproof so if you do your outdoor work when it. Can be bad out you’re going to want to probably look at the nikon action atb which are waterproof but if you are a. Fair-weather sportsman then you shouldn’t have any problem and 10 power this might be a little bit too much for bird-watching or for general outdoor use sports hunting these would be a good. Option these binoculars come with a nice. Padded case with the loop the surrounding fits you know through your belt. Covers for the eyepieces and the objective lens and a handy neck strap.

En fait à s’ouvrir la pochette s’ouvre assez facilement et puis ça peut vite être un peu embêtant en fait de le. Transporter de cette manière là. Autre point vous demanderez le prix le. From a montana elk hunt and before the hunt i showed some of the gear that i was going to take with me i had some guys asking me about the binoculars in particular the nikon monarch sevens so. I’m gonna go over those a little bit today just a real quick video these Bushnell’s are the ones that I’ve had for years probably eight or nine years and a couple things i don’t like about them one is these old-style eye relief caps here they flip you can see. This one’s completely missing i lost it don’t even know where it is this one’s you know on its last leg these new icons. Have a really cool way of doing that. Look twist for more eye relief if you’re. Wearing glasses you can scale them back out they also have so you would get your. Focus with this ring here with your left. Eye and then on your right eye let me turn around so on your right eye you would actually use this to fine-tune your right eye now they also have integrated lens protection one of the. Things that i really liked about these was the ability to change my focal depth. With those Bushnell’s i didn’t have this dial on there were i could pull the focus out or push it in and the benefit of this is let’s say. You’re looking at a deer through the woods if you pull your focus sometimes back it reveals branches and things that are in between you and the target you know the subject matter and can. Probably help you to avoid taking a very bad shot I’m gonna roll in some footage right here so you can kind of see that you’ll see that I’m focused out on something and as i pull the zoom back you can see that it reveals things that you could not previously see so very. Beneficial loved these rings there. They’re adjustable in different increments so very innovative they’re these are completely waterproof depending on where you get them they’re probably going to be in the $600 or $700 range somewhere around there I’ll post a link in the description below I’m gonna do some searching try to find you the best price at the time of filming this video if you find them somewhere cheaper by all means hit me up tell me in the video and I’ll change the link so that’s it guys the nikon monarch 7s had a. Range-finding by nose hey because i don’t have to take a separate rangefinder and be it’s just easier and more intuitive to look through your by. They fit on my hands and i would say I’m. Pretty used to using now let me get my voice by nose to give you a comparison now these are my zeiss 10 my 45s these. Are the things I’ve lived with in the bush for about three years now super rock-solid of throwing them in places i shouldn’t have done really dropped them crawled in them dented them. And they still work absolutely perfectly so with the eyepieces fully extended. That’s roughly what we play with now as. You can see these look more stylish for. Then a lot more angular so they’re as. You like for like a zeiss 10 by 45. 10 by 42 so they’re not too dissimilar. The like is way in at 950 grams they. Just under a kilo the zeiss 995 there’s. Ice has finger grooves here and a more. Intuitive button placement i would say when my hands go but what i love about. The leica ones this button here is long and there is only one the amount of times I’ve played on the right-hand side with my zeiss and those chains and menu settings and it’s very annoying but this button does fit in the right place so turning them. Around we can see the underneath here you can set different focal lengths for. Your eyes you can adjust those and it’s very clearly easy to see which the red on the right and then the white on the. Left now these are in sets. These are justice so it’s highly unlikely that you’re going to accidentally knock them when you’re. Using the mouse in the field a couple of little fun grieves there if you open the right up you should just be able to see in there that’s what the housing where. The battery goes just don’t do that probably do it my thumb to start with and then slot the battery in now the. Extendable eyepieces here are actually. Really nice they zoom straight out they’ve got kind of indexing one two. Three two you know three different settings depending on your eye relief. But once again a thoroughly attractive. As well as functional packet now who’s. To know how these perform okay let you know in a couple of weeks times so there. We have it the locate g ovid 10 by 40 to. S they look very stylish there’s a couple of other exciting bits to them or. Features that you might be interested in firstly they’ll work down to minus 25 that sounds pretty cobras. Minus 14 bc last year and i was glad. That the equipment i had had been tested to those sorts of conditions now i don’t think I’m minus 25 as a limitation on the product itself i think it’s probably more likely to be the battery because it minus 25 a lot of batteries do freezer it’s also waterproof down to five meters now. Clearly we’re not going to be using underwater unless I’m really unlucky and lose my footing but that means that it. Looking for a pair of premium top-of-the-line binoculars with lots of features again not just good but a premium product well my search i found three models and. Made my short list those wanted the sorrel ski al 10 by 42 rangefinder. Binoculars to zeiss rf 10 by 45. Rangefinder binoculars and the ones that. You see here on the table the leica g ovid hdb 10 by 42 rangefinder binoculars. So what i did was i headed to cabala’s i. Did a side-by-side comparison and these. Were the ones i selected they were not. Inexpensive they did run away with my card but in my opinion they were the right choice for me again they were the right choice for me but before i created. My shortlist i looked at many other models vortex steiner canon nikon low. Pole Bushnell you name it but I’m sorry to say these models did not make my short list i also don’t have anything negative to say about sreob ski or sights i was basically comparing apples to apples the clarity on all three models. Was phenomenal just ultra clear lenses i. Actually own a pair of sarov skis and. Have for many years disappear vls here but these don’t have. The range-finding capabilities built in. That’s what i was looking for by the way these aren’t going anywhere so anyway what I’ll do is I’ll break down this pair here talk about the pros and cons. And then I’ll do a wrap-up at the end. They do come with covers on top for the. Eyepieces it the top one has a little slit here so you can weave it through the strap so you don’t lose them and I’ll set these aside and since we’re. Talking about the strap this is the strap in my opinion it is a little bit. Thin and you do feel it around the neck after about an hour so the solution for. That is to use a shoulder harness to. Select and your zero range and then. You’re going to download that data onto this card you will extract the card from. The adapter place it into your binoculars and you are basically done with step 1 now i will tell you this is. A multi-step process it’s not 1 2 3 then. What you would do is you’re going to carefully read pages 40 through 46 in the instructional manual that it come. That comes with the binoculars and. You’re going to start making your selections there the trajectory tables. Can be found at the rear of the booklet you’re going to go there, and they have the curb angles for the bullet. They’re in u.s. settings and european. Settings and you’re also going to find your zero range they’re mine is 100 yards that’s what i selected specifically i selected us 4 because. That was the closest match to my bullet and that can be found on page 215 so. Basically what I’m saying here folks this is going to take time it works. Better if you have two people because one person can read the instructions off while the other person can look through the by nose as you select your program. Settings take your time this is not a. 1-2-3 step once you’ve completed that. Then i would recommend that you’re going. To go to the range and you’re going to do confirmation and verification of your impact points now let’s talk about the. Advanced ballistic system that’s contained within this within these. Binoculars this system is designed to. Provide you with a point a corrected point of impact that’s another thing. That really made these shine over the. Other binoculars so what do these give. You well they give you the temperature they’re going to give you the barometric pressure but more importantly they’re to give you the angle of inclination so. If you’re hunting out west or if you’re hunting in the mountains no problem in. Short the only thing you have to worry about is the wind these binoculars will. Work with a standard plex reticle they. Will work as far as doing the. Traditional holdover if that’s what you want to do you can use them what a b rh or bd see a bullet drop compensator or. Bullet drop compensating radical or ballistic terror and what i mean by that. Is let me move these back if you have a. Reticle that looks like this no problem if you have just standard flex reticle. No problem and if you have a ballistic terry they’re also going to work with that so let’s talk a little bit more. About their range they do go out to 2,000 at least that’s what the specs say. They’re up close ranging their up. Close ranging is 10 yards they’re up close focus is 5 meters or 16.5 feet. Let’s transition now and talk a little. But about some of the cons associated with this unit a minor con is that the. There they are a bit tight in the case i. Previously mentioned that they’re a little difficult to extract but no problem if you remove the covers as well. Although that you can range out to 2,000. Yards the corrected ballistic values only go out to eight hundred seventy-five yards now if you use the. Custom settings you can get corrected ballistic values all the way out to a thousand yards now i will say that this is well beyond my range so if something is that far we’re either going to be closing the distance or we’re. Going to head back to camp for soup and sandwiches these binoculars are. Specifically designed for rifle hunting. And they are expensive i will say that. So if you’re not a rifle hunter or more. Importantly if you’re not a die-hard rifle hunter they may not be the best. Choice for you gave the hefty price tag. The level of sophistication in addition. The programming process is not one two three it does require careful reading and taking your time again this is a precise. Instrument and in my opinion you should. Take your time take it to the range verify and confirm your corrected impact. Points they are a bit heavy for neck. Carry but no problem if you’re using a shoulder harness so to wrap up i will. Say that the leica geo vids can be customized for your caliber it can be customized for your bullet type they can. Be customized for the various reticles they will give you the atmospherics they. Binoculars but this debating with the first where we are going to touch the laser range-finding binoculars made by like us of the series gear v, and we have. Here some models, so we have the h-e-b the hdr and our model, and we are going. To start this debate off with a little bit of history about the giving like as. Always about history it’s always about us first of all they are producing the knockers 400 in ten years they are one. Of the one of the producers which is considered to produce the best in others in the world and when we come to the range finding binoculars they are in the. Class of their own we could say first of. All they were the first company which introduced the range-finding binoculars and put them on the market the civil. Market the list and this was in 1992 so. This was the goe that was the. First mentioning of this name the govt 7.42 in — id — billa with the range. Finding capabilities those housings are. Still used by some manufacturers today in Switzerland there is a company which still produces range finding binoculars on blake as foundation i could say. However like a move forward with big. Same time they give you only the equivalent for a sort of range they don’t give you advanced ballistics to be honest until this year 2018. The equivalent horizontal range like all the competitors but at the same time it. Gave extremely good optical performance. Extremely fast measurements i think at. Least in my experience like as the fastest among all when you push the button you get the reading immediately and also the range finding capabilities. Are at least in my experience better. Then with all others so these new hdr can already measure up to 2500 meters 2500 yards again this is the latest. Moment in 2018 because in 2015 the hdr. Cat the acronyms type in 402 for. 8.42 type 403 410 by 42 and type 500 for. 856 now in 2018 they refresh the more. Wine and they get rid of the economy. Type in their name which is a really. Smart idea in my opinion, and they just gave the number of the arts binoculars. The best but it also features an. Additional port for the sd yeah it’s. Under here in the battery compartment next to it never try to open the battery. Compartment to the coin and always use this with every duel if you get this. Tool from Letha which is really easy to. Use and to open so you avoid scratching the cap this is the first step. Always use this cool well in this battery compartment there is a small port for the micro sd card and there is. A software made by like which you download on your computer and you’re. Able to insert to your own custom. Ballistic curve inside of the laker htp. And that means that these binoculars are. Then paired with your actual rifle and. Performance of your ammunition in your. Reference so it’s the margin of error. Becomes really small and this is the main difference compared to all competitors until this year nobody had a. Competing product with similar capabilities not size as it but still we. Could argue regarding the optical performance so this was a big i would. Say breakthrough in 2013 now in 2018. They came out with a mobile which is completely the same in all the functions but it’s marked 3000 so the hdp 3000. That means it measures up to 3,000 yards so there is around 2000. Fifteen years so they increase the range. Of measurement in the mean time from. 2013 to 2018 until this three thousand dollars came out they have even two intermediates. Series they had two thousand to two. A Hundred addition so it was limited edition which had a range of two. A Thousand two hundred yards and then they. Have an addition 2017 which was cream. But basically it’s the same product they. Only increase the measurement distance. The measurement range i think it’s really worth pointing out as well that. Usually when it comes to laser range-finding binoculars the light transmission rate is lowered because of the integrated system but here with geog rids it’s actually on quite a high level because of the time applying yeah prisms yeah and the presents really add enhance the life admission rate and generally also the field of video is great this is definitely one of the best. If not the best range value lockers on the market and normally it also carries. A really famous name of course so the jewelry is the most famous name. And nobody produces so many different versions of range-finding binoculars. Than like nobody everybody else has one. More maybe two months well i got has a bunch of different models with it. With a jewett are you have ate better. 42 and ten to forty-two then i have. Eight by fifty-six and 15 by fifty-six and these are able to measure up to two 1000 bahts over 300 yeah 1300 yards 1200. Meters and they do also give you the. Equivalent horizontal range then with an. Hdr 2700 they measure up to 2500 meters or two thousand seven hundred yards, and they. Have three models 8 by 40 to 10 but 42. And 8 by 56 like this one this is really. They’re a little bit bigger not really. Bigger they are a little bit heavier than the 42 models, but they are better. The better in little life and they give you. Only the equivalent horizontal range similar like they are, but they have a. Much longer but they do have the. Temperature sensors yeah biometric sensors i had the angle. Inclined sensor yeah and but you can only see the reading you can see what the temperature is you can see the angle you can see the pressure it doesn’t calculate you the whole ballistic curve this is what the hdb. Does the agent with us they it calculate exact number of clicks or. Holdover or gives you only that you. Land horizontal range but it takes into account your constant ballistic curve your actual ballistic. Curve so in hdr and hdb there are three. Models in both series 80 40 to ten to. Forty two and eight by fifty-six so the. Technology implemented in the hdr is perhaps it has the features that. Most hunters need today this would be enough for most i think this is probably the best buy you can buy it gives you the ehr so the cream on the horizontal range this is perhaps the most important thing but you need but this is the top. Of the i would say the top of the cake yeah it’s its the best you can buy the. Difference between this and this is this one gives you click and hold over this. One gives you only the current horizontal range which this one can also give you can program that this one works the same as the hbo what about. The difference in the price here is its quite big i think it’s like 500 or 600. Euros or something like that so you have to calculate whether it’s worth giving additional 600 euros for the monkeys that you might not need yeah you have to calculate that i in my experience most. Of the customers goes for the hdb because it’s the top of the line however the hdr it’s the best buy in my opinion. Because it’s really affordable if you compare it with other competing manufacturers it offers the same functions it measures quicker than all. Others it has superb optical performance it has superb build quality it has all. The functions you actually need in most cases hdr it’s. Almost the best buy at least in my opinion because the advanced ballistic. Compensation functions basically that. You binoculars give you the whole dauber. And centimeters or inches or that binoculars give you the value in clicks depending on which what is the size of. One click on your rifle scope you can. Set this setting inside of the menu and. Then it gives you the clique number what. People do’t don’t need this to function so this is the reason why i think that hdr is best buy if i go to. Pricing we have three different licensed. Products everything starts at jewelry. Art which starts at around 1850 euros. And it goes to two thousand five hundred. Depending on the model so you have eight. By 42 is the cheapest then 10 by 42 it’s a little bit more expensive than you have eight by fifty-six and fifteen by. Fifty six is the most expensive around two thousand faculty then if we look at. The hdr 2700 this goes from two thousand. Five hundred euros to two thousand nine hundred this 8 by 42 starts to run two. A Thousand five hundred euros 8 by 56 hdr. 2700 ends at around two thousand nine. A Hundred years and the hdb starts at around two thousand nine hundred and goes all the way to three thousand three hundred so it’s not 1850 and it goes to. Two thousand five hundred three thousand three hundred euros in this range i think it’s also important to mention that with hdr hv you also get the ocular. Coating which the the our model lacks. And also on the hdr htp you will find. Like as famous eyepieces which are i think one of the best this way styling with i can four. Different settings they can really be. Fixed in many positions, and they hold the position wisely once their face well. In essence within hdr and hdb with this. Corporate prison you also see that there. Hey folks have here some steiner. Binoculars steiner out of germany these are the 8. By 42 predator extremes the colors forth. Green they come in this really nice. Steiner case here’s the by no sir. The strap attached strap for. This case and there’s a couple little sliders here adjustments for the strap. Now in the spirit of full disclosure i. Am a huge steiner fan and it dates back. To my days in the marine corps where a. Lot of my gear tasting gear companies. Come from we use the steiners there and. I don’t remember what model it is it’s the wide ones, and they were awesome. I mean they were always crystal-clear and a big thing they were tough and let me tell you any gear that can be used by. The marines it is tough because marines break everything and i do mean everything so for these to stand up and not break they’re tough and let me tell you these. Are some tough but i healers and then. Also my I’ve always wanted a pair of the. Steiner binoculars and when i was just over in germany this last summer i got to see a lot of steiners they’re very popular over there of course because they are extremely well-made and from. What i found with the germans they don’t. Do anything that they can’t be the best as if they can’t make a product that’s the best. They don’t make so I’m a huge fan of. German optics and that’s not to say there aren’t some other optics that come. From other companies countries that are great at making them i know the austrians make great optics i believe the u.s. makes great optics i. Believe there’s a lot of good optics coming out of japan also so there’s a. Lot of company countries that make great optics but to me that the german optics. Are my personal favorite and these. Puppies here have quite a few features so bear with me i have come on ipad i. Got the web page up i got the owner’s manual i got some other resources here so I’ll have to confer I’ll try to keep. It shortened as concise as possible so. And the first thing i want to go over with these optics and these optics. Have an updated coating on them it’s the predator coating we call it and that’s whether predator optics but this coating. They have on them allows for animals to. Kind of pop out at you if you would so. What it does this coating it kind of dampers the greens a little bit subdues. Then and not even to the point where it’s that noticeable with the human eye because the greens still look really good on this but it allows for browns. And reds to really contrast well so when. You’re looking through these wildlife. Such as deer tend to pop out at you a. Little bit more than with standard. Binoculars now i usually this past. Weekend hunting its my first time and i. Have to admit i didn’t see anything any. Deer it was a terrible weekend i didn’t see any deer with these. Binoculars but i did see other wildlife i saw some squirrels some coyotes and i. Can tell you they do contrast with their. Background a little bit better than with standard binoculars i thought they popped out pretty well i really like that feature i think it’s a nice feature and for hunting i think these are about. To me i think the best optics you can. Buy in my opinion. Some other features i really like about this i like these lens caps they attach so there’s nothing to lose some of my other optics the lens cap is removable it comes off, and they get lost. These front side lens caps also are. Attached the side here is a little slot, so they actually completely disappear the side is permanently attached it’s. Kind of nicely swing away so you don’t have any issues you know they don’t get. In your way while you’re using them but. I do like detachable eyepieces so then. We have right here is the center focusing ring to focus these the first. Time you use them kind of like for signing a gun you put this you twist it. So that it’s in the middle of the range and then you use the diopter to adjust. For your eyes once it’s focused then. Then you use this for the fine-tuning focusing or the fine focusing as you go. These here also have to give you proper. Eye relief these eye cups come out. Has these little flaps here for to keep the sun out or you can if you don’t like them you can or if you don’t need them you can fold them away the picture on. Here is i kind of alluded to earlier for. Me to the steiner optics have the most crystal-clear optics that i have personally ever used i know some people say the source keys are the best some. People’s opinion i think the price on these things here. Is outstanding for the quality that you.
