The Salomon Women’s QST 92 Ski will be your go-to whether you’re railing groomers first thing in the morning or exploring some new terrain days after the last storm. With a 92mm waist width, this all-mountain ski cuts crud and chop with ease, but still rolls from edge to edge like a champ. Its All-Terrain Rocker 2.0 profile lives up to its all-terrain status, with camber underfoot that ensures excellent edge grip on firm snow and a rockered tip that navigates stuff with ease.
Salomon’s Spaceframe 3.0 AMB construction starts with an inverted 3D wood core that filters vibration and optimizes stability when you’re speeding down the mountain. The CFX carbon superfiber laminate and Koroyd honeycomb tip also increases dampening, while the power platform underfoot enhances your edging on hardpack. No matter what you’re riding, the ski’s full sandwich sidewall construction increases snow contact so you can ski your hardest.

Remember that time your friends thought you wouldn’t eat that ultra-spicy pepper? It went a lot like that time they thought you wouldn’t hit that ultra-steep tree line. Keep silencing the doubters with the Rossignol Spicy 7 Ski. The lightest and thinnest member of Rossignol’s 7 series, this versatile all-mountain ski is sure to put some spice in your shred.
Its 86mm waist provides stability and edge control when you’re ripping the groomers, with enough width to hold its own when you get a bit of fresh snow. Especially so with Rossignol’s freeride rocker, which balances a rockered tip and tale with a stable camber underfoot, giving you the best of both worlds as you float better in the soft stuff and get a smoother hold when you’re charging it. With Rossi’s Air Tip you’ll get stability at speeds and lightweight maneuverability and float at the tip, letting you bounce through moguls and fresh woods with ease. A lightweight wooden core offers versatility for use as a touring ski, letting you explore further and ensuring that your lines will stay as hot as a habenero.
Originally called the Sin in the ever-popular 7 Series, Rossignol most likely changed this ski’s name to the Rossignol Women’s Sky 7 HD Ski because, well, the sky’s the limit when it comes to this freerider. Big enough for powder, skinny enough for groomers, and light enough for the backcountry, the Sky 7 HD truly excels wherever you choose to grace your ski skills that day.
Hello my name is justin smith we’re in. Snowy lake tahoe california right now at heavenly mountain resort and I’m here to bring to you the 2017 sky 7 review this. Is an all mountain ski brought to you by ross signal we have a 98 underfoot 128. Tip and a 118 tail this ski offers. Camber underfoot as well as a rocker tip. To get you the flotation and the powder. That you want now the camber under your. Foot also releases when you are going downhill doing your big ol super g and. Slalom turns and it pushes it makes power. And it creates more power to exit your. Turn okay so the rossignol sky 7 hd is. Made of a paluma wood core and it. Reduces the overall weight of the ski by 30% we got the patented ear tip design made by rossignol as you can see there’s. Little hex x’s in the tip to make it a. Lighter like a lighter feel for your. Tip i personally love it’s awesome. The only problem with the ear tip is that i have broken the tip on my other. Ski just a little bit flimsy but other. Then that the tip is awesome the light the white weight of the ski is awesome but it’s also reinforced by carbon. Strings that go across the speed i atonal ii making this ski a lot more. Stronger and you also have the air tip on the bottom of the ski as well and because of the 98 underfoot and the side. Cut you get about a 17 turn radius which. Makes for a really good pop in your slalom turret slalom turns and all of. Your grooming turns i love the turn radius you can go it on. The groomer you can feel like you’re a racer i mean I’m a racer and it’s kind. Of like, you’re on race skis only you. Have 100 underfoot so awesome ski you. Got your bases great bases i just scratched them up a little bit got you a mini cap sidewall. Which smashes it’s a sandwich and it smashes the sidewall together between the base and the top layer so yeah. Overall this ski powder. The flotation for me I’m 200 pounds and. This is at 174 so i mean you guys are. 172 sorry it is a little bit smaller. With those about to my forehead to my. Like my nose to forehead area the. Flotation it’s good the tip definitely. Helps it with the rocker but i do find. Myself leaning back a little bit too much just because it’s not a complete. Powder ski for me so i would say the powder aiding would be like a 7 out of 10 awesome if you’re. Looking for a one purpose ski and you know if there’s a foot of powder and you just want to go sloshed some awesome for. That so 7 out of 10 for that groomers i. Would give this about a 9 out of 10 your. Edges hold awesome. You’re you know the turn radius of 17. Just gives you a really nice pop out of each turn and overall the ski i would. Give the groomers score about a 9 out of. 10 and then the overall score of the entire ski from everything from. Flotation to durability I’ll give this ski about an 8 out of 10. It does really well and all worlds from. Powder to grooming to you know anything. You’re looking to throw at it the only problem that like the downsides i would call it would be the durability I’ve. Skied these skis about 30 days, and they’ve shown some abuse and wear but so. I would say the pros and cons about this ski will start with the pros because positive is always better than negative positives it will flow for you in powder. The pros also carving on groomers is. Glorious it’s like you’re on a race ski it’s so nice it’s like train tracks you just like popping in and out of those turns it’s so awesome cut to the footage of that. And then another pro would be the. Lightness of this ski i mean you can do shifty’s you can do you know any type of trick you really want to throw at it for how light it is and i mean obviously. Depending on where you mount your mid sole but then the cons durability. That’s about the only that’s the only. Problem that i have with it and that. The part that it doesn’t keep me afloat as much as i would want it to but then again it’s an all-mountain ski for me not a powder ski but if you’re looking. To get this for all-mountain going right ahead and smash the buy button dude it’s. So good you can find these at the end of. The season for pretty cheap if you ski as hard as i would you know i possibly. Go to another pair of skis possibly like moments or lib tech’s because they’re all handmade and all that but yeah overall this ski is a. Really good ski if you’re looking to just slash them some powder turns and. Get some groomer grumbling runs in and. Yeah it’s a great ski you can see more. About this online anywhere you look and the ski is about i think it’s eight. A Hundred dollars but anyway you guys have a nice day, and we’ll catch you next time thanks for watching if you have enjoyed this video please hit the like button and subscribe.
Five years I’m jeff from skin essentials comm we are here today to do another. 2018 ski review it’s been a few weeks. Since our last review but we’re kicking. Back off with our 1st 2018 rossignol. Will be continuing 2018 ski. Reviews through the summer into next fall and in late june or early july. You’re also going to see a bunch. Of material from our first annual ski. Test we had about 30 to 35 testers at. Stone mountain resort testing about 150. Pairs of skis so you will be. Releasing results from that test later in the summer but in the meantime we’re going to keep doing some review reviews for you. Guys so this week it’s the 2018. Rossignol soul 7 hd will do a brief. History of the sole 7 I’m guessing the. Most of you’re familiar with it because it is a pretty popular ski if we go back. To seasons this is the 2016 sole 7. Basically this was a wood core ski. Matala the sole 7 we’ll start by saying the sole 7th always been kind of. Powder oriented or wider all-mountain. Ski that’s known for being very. Maneuverable very lightweight and. Pretty approachable for not just. Advanced and expert skiers you can be a solid intermediate skier and. Get a lot out of a sole 7 so yes 2016. This ski was wood core pretty much just. Wood and in the core of the ski and then. Roswell’s honeycomb air tip which has. Kind of become synonymous with their skis and with the 7 series in. Particular so you know huge following. Behind the sole 7 people that want like. I was saying I’m a new verbal ski that’s great and stuff snow great for trees. Great for skiing bowls pretty much any. Anything if you soft snow the sole seven is awesome the one complaint that some more aggressive. Skiers had which we touched on a lot for. The 2017 review that you can go back and watch and read was instability people. Felt like the ski got deflected a little bit if you are seeing choppy snow especially at high speeds i was pretty easy for the tips to get. Thrown side-to-side you hit something. I also lacked a little bit of torsional stiffness and edge hold we’re not always. On soft snow after all so it’s nice to. Have the ability to hold an edge on a groomer these are 106 underfoot which definitely. Traditionally is much more of a powder ski but these days with a ski that’s 106. Underfoot most of us are expecting it to have some groomer performance so last. Year they put carbon alloy matrix into. The ski basically a woven grid of carbon. That increases torsional stiffness gives. It more stability and it definitely. Improved the ski i go back and check out. Review from last year if you want to get more details and now moving into 2018. Carbon alloy matrix remains in the in. The 2018 ski really the big change to. This ski well there’s a couple this is a. Brand new mold so in years past the. Changes to the sole seven have been internal you know they’ve been construction changes different materials. But they’ve kept the same shape both. Both in the side cut profile and the rocker profile moving into 2018 it’s. Changed if you can see these are two. Different lengths so it’s a little bit tough to make them look identical but there’s more rise in the tip in the tip. Now basically the same out of the tail but it is a slightly different shaped tail and their different side cut. Profile too but it’s pretty subtle. These now have an 18-meter turn radius in the 180 where this is a 172 the last. Year is 180 or really any 180 up to this. Point has a 17-meter turn radius so a little bit longer turn and that’s that’s. The big difference in the shape and then construction wise it’s a brand-new tip. And brand-new construction so they call. This air tip 2.0 and it’s essentially. Designed to be lighter and stronger which you know that’s that’s something that we say a lot in these gear reviews, and they’ve done that but essentially. Extending the length of it but adding in. These they call three-dimensional. Reinforcements you can kind of see it in the tip and it integrates more into the. Core of the ski than ever before. You can kind of think of it the previous. Versions of basalt seven almost had two. Different personalities especially if we’re talking about the 2017 version underfoot very torsion ally stiff thanks for the carbon alloy matrix and. Then the tips and tails were very light very soft tremendous swing weight the. New ski it’s definitely got a more even. Flex throughout the ski that was. Something that i really noticed when i was seeing it feels a little silver. Part of the point of the to exit 2.0 is. To further reduce deflection and i. Definitely think it does that i don’t. Think i would have described the previous versions of this all seven hd. Or sol 7 as being exceptionally smooth. They were very energetic very quick very. Easy to throw around but they said they. Weren’t nearly as smooth as this loose key it’s still easy to throw around actually reduce the swing weight even. Further this by sending this tip but have given. It more strength more power basically. Because of the reinforcements that then integrates into the ski so I’ve been. Describing it as it’s more of a single entity now in terms of performance. Now that i say that i could understand why somebody would perceive that as a negative in terms of versatility but. That’s not what i mean at all its more the feel of the ski from tip to tail. It really feels it feels like it the. Whole thing wants to work together where. Previously you know you were kind of fighting to get some edge grip underfoot while you had this maneuverability and quickness some of the tips and tails i think it holds an edge better now and it’s equally as mutable some kinds of. Change that saying easy performance and soft snow so I’ve been referring to them. As blacker’s which is a little bit of a. Metaphor how easily black sea’s are synonymous with being a little bit more. Ski or more powerful or burlier and i. Think that’s a fair assessment for the new sol 7 it’s not outrageously perlier. It’s not like they added two sheets of metal to it but it’s a different ski so. If you’ve been you know if you’ve been skiing that’s all seven for a few years and you’ve been wondering what to replace it with i would say replace it. With a new soul seven and then you know if you were a skier that shied away from. The sole seven because you thought it was not quite enough ski maybe you skied. It and you felt that that tip deflection maybe you felt a little bit of chatter. These new tips really don’t shatter at. All especially compared to the previous. Version so yeah definitely check them. Out that’s the 2018 sole seven like i said. We will be releasing a lot more a lot. More info on this ski when we released. The results from our ski test you’ll get. To see what i think we had seven or eight different testers that’s keep those well seven on so you get to read reactions from a whole slew of people instead of just myself although i do try and integrate some feedback from our my co-workers as. Well but yeah new soul seven the seven. Series has been on the market for a long. Time you’re still going to see a ton of black and yellow rog mills on the hill but now they’re blacker.
Be calm i am on the rossignol sy7 hd at. 97 underfoot it’s a very light ski but. It has enough strength to get to edge it’s got a 14 turning radius -. You’re likely for more information go to. Clips keep calm and ski gear tv.com.

Hi nick a signaler with the rossignol. And I’m here with ski gear tv buyer’s. Guide for 2013 we’re looking at the experience 76 part of the new experience. Line for us last year which has gone over very well and been a big seller the. Experience 76 as the name implies as 76. Ml underfoot. Features rousing top cap construction. Throughout for enhanced durability and snappy feel also the big seller is. Auto turn rocker which is featured on the entire experience line auto turn rocker is a tip and tail rocker with. Is an all-new integrated system that’s ultra lightweight with all the reliable release and retention that you’d find in. Our high-end body line. The experience 76 is great for that. Advanced-intermediate skier who wants a. Versatile one ski quiver check out the experience 76 at your local rising oil dealer for 2013.
Hi I’m tom i just got gone riding the rossignol experience 76 cl brand-new ski. From rossignol this year and this thing is an absolute blast that’s for sure aim. For your beginner to kind of mid intermediate skier but this thing just exudes confidence for somebody that’s really looking at going from that kind of skidded and slid smear turn to a. Really proficient carve this is a fantastic tool to do that with it’s really easy to maneuver in a dodge skid and smear with relative ease but for a. Ski at this level it really gets up on the edge and rails a turn there are very few skis at this price point that can ski as aggressively as this thing do i definitely aim for on trail performance but a little bit of an all-mountain tip shape so as the slopes get chewed up at the end of the day that things still gonna perform great for you.
Hey I’m kyle i just got gone riding the rossignol experience 76 see i was a good. Ski for your beginner through advanced intermediate the beginner level it’s. Super easy to slide around and it’s not. Overly stiffed where it’s gonna kick your butt for an advanced. Intermediate who’s starting to link their turns or really actually start to carve it holds an edge really well it’s pretty icy today and i didn’t really have any issues there it’s got carbon in. It so it’s got some stiffness to it but. It’s not something that’s overly stiff and it’s gonna beat you up your beginner.
Either dino-dude neck with rossignol here at bob chalet to talk to you about the new rossignol experience men’s and. Women’s collection of skis the. Experience family of skis for rossignol is really our cash cow this is a family of skis known as all-mountain and. Deliver and they deliver a ton of freedom new this year from rossignol is. This entire family of men’s and women’s we continue with the same profiling of. The ski with with regards to the number. That will denote the waist dimension so in this case the experience 88 our number one best-selling high-performance model 88 millimeters light under the foot if you see me refer to a model that. Is known as an experienced 74 you’re. Going to note that that ski off obviously is 74 millimeters narrower. Going to be used for more recreational application what’s new in the new. Experience family we bet it will refer. To as all-terrain rocker ii so all. Terrain rocker is where the nose of the ski the for body and the tail of the. Skis have about a 30% walking. Characteristic meaning that the camber pocket is about 70% of the length of the. Ski all terrain rocker ring is it going. To allow the ski to adapt to various snow conditions much more efficiently that the ski doesn’t have quite as much. Tip pressure as the previous family of experience models a progressive. Sidecut we refer to the site cut is the. Amount of taper that takes place from the shovel to the waist of the ski into the tail a progressive side cut in this. New family refers to the fact that each one of the models of skis in this. Experienced family that site cut shaped changes per model and per model changes. The width dimension as well line control technology is where rossignol is being able to split the core of the ski and. We’ve added an internal vertical laminate that runs from the shovel from. The tip of the ski down the center all. The way to the tail of the ski so a line control technology tip-to-tail is found on every model, and we vary the material that’s going to be found in the center of the core in this particular case the new experience cd8 t i refers to the fact. That this ski has got a titanium vertical sheet that runs tip to tail down the middle of a core as i go. Through various models you’re gonna hear me refer to carbon, so we have some models that will have a carbon inlay and. Some model will have a report we refer to as a softer material known as abs all. Of them refer to line control technology. Another feature is the air tip va s. You’re gonna see a new tip profile that’s a little lower profile doesn’t. Have us much lift it’s a little fatter it’s a little cleaner a little smoother and the same is going to be true on the. Tail that’s here and then notice that the amount of lift and the amount of. Taper and the amount of rocker that’s taking place in the tail is significantly different in this particular case the experience 88 can be a belt is purchased and available either. Flat or sold as a system there you see it here a model referred to as an experienced 80 means it’s going to be 80 millimeters underfoot on underfoot the. Experienced 80 is going to be a little bit more suited for an aggressive intermediate level skier somebody who skis the whole mountain they want a. Little bit of width in order to enjoy softer snow conditions maybe a little bit of narrowness to enjoy maybe of an occasional bump run in this particular model it’s sold integrated only so it. Comes with a lock binding as you can see this is known as the look in x n x heel. Here we refer to the atc eye meaning. That the line control technology is. Going to be a reference point that there’s gonna the ski is going to have a vertical strip of carbon that runs tip to tail this experience 76 referred to. As the ci referring to carbon inlay so. Lion control technology is the brand-new call-out on the rossignol family of skis. This year carbon inlay refers to the vertical strip that runs tip to tail. Greatly enhancing the skis ability for better edge hold the new shape of the. Tail and the rock ring the nose profile. Allows the skis to be more playful and. Yes more versatile as well so this. Particular model is pretty exciting colorway sold as a system only with the. Look in ex binding hi thanks for. Watching to the end for more viewings. Please subscribe to the bob sports chalet youtube channel.

The lifties sure don’t appreciate you battling every single pole that makes up the chairlift, but it certainly is a fun way to pass the time. Most expensive, carbon-laden poles snap under the pressure of this seriously epic battle, but the Kerma Women’s Legend Pro Pole stays solid throughout all your wars. This all-mountain pole has a bias for freeriding powder days just like the rest of the skiers at the resort. As for your chairlift battles, nobody has seen a war this epic since the windmill fiasco in the early 1600s.
The Dynastar Legend 84 Ski allows you to reduce your all-mountain ski quiver to one. Its 84mm waist width offers just enough float for deep days while holding its own across groomers. Its tail and tip rocker profile with 5-point sidecut supply natural versatility and a balanced sweet spot for comfort across varying terrain types.
The Legend 84 was designed with Dynastar’s Powerdrive Free construction combining a tradition wood core and multi-layer sidewall construction. This creates ultra-smooth versatility and enhanced playfulness across the mountain and through varying snow conditions. Full-length vertical sidewalls deliver optimized edge grip for fast turns through tight trees while the wood core stays responsive, lightweight, and stable through mogul fields and deep powder.

Conditions vary, its a fact of life on the ski hill, but there’s no way you’re missing a single day this winter. When there are patches of fresh snow hidden between chopped up powder, with a groomed trail or two thrown in, you’re glad to have the K2 Fulluvit 95TI Ski in your corner. This freeride ski features a mid-width waist that’s designed to handle everything you might encounter on those gray days between storms. The all-terrain rocker profile uses a gradual rise in the tips for floating in the fluff and sailing over crud, with a low rise tail for more stability, and generous camber underfoot for optimal edge-to-edge control on hardpack.
The Fulluvit features K2’s Konic construction, which layers a stiff metal laminate alongside the reinforced Nanolight core. The very center uses this Nanolight composite and paulownia wood to keep things light, with aspen layered alongside both for additional strength, and metal at the edges for dampening and stability on the chopped-up off-trail slopes. Triaxial fiberglass braiding is added for increased torsional stiffness that still allows the lively flex of the wood core to shine through. All these details combine to produce a ski that’s lively, agile, and playful whether you’re twisting through powder-filled trees or laying it over on steep groomed runs.

Skiing is all about having fun, so you better hurry up and eat your shreddies, because you’re about to be charging a whole lot of vert on the Line Women’s Pandora Skis. As Line’s premier powder plank, the Pandora is built to surf the deep stuff, yet still rides firmer snow after the mountain gets tracked out. With a 110mm waist and an Early Rise tip profile, you’ll find yourself making big sweeping turns down open bowls, maneuvering through chopped-up snow, and carving down corduroy. Plus, the Pandora’s widest point of sidecut starts tapering earlier in the tip to reduce drag and hooking in soft snow so you can smoothly munch pow, crud, and soft snow.
Boasting Line’s Capwall construction, the Pandora blends the light and responsive performance of cap construction with the smooth, solid feel of sidewalls. Line’s engineers gave the Pandora an aspen MacroBlock core featuring aspen underfoot to ensure your turns and landings have a nimble feel and buttery-smooth flex. Thin Tip technology shaves unnecessary weight in the tip and tail, significantly cutting down on tip bounce and swing weight. Other technologies packed into the Pandora are Directional Flex for easy turn initiation and Fivecut geometry for intuitive control and unlimited turn shapes.
My third year skiing on the Pandora and i can honestly say it’s my favorite ski. I’ve ever had that early rise in the. Taper on the tip and tail helped me like just kappas know what i can stay nice and forward and make those good patterns without having to work too hard this really does all that for you and just have fun with it’s the only thing. I’ll take out and pow but it’s also really fun on a groomer if you can totally carve with it and fries I’ll just power through anything don’t let the 115 waste scare you off from doing a bit of Pandora’s it’s so easy to ski it really helps to make those turns and initiate them in the deep snow and on the service as well they’re fun they’re playful star food quick i use it every day whether I’m in. The resort just driving around giving side of the runs with my friends up in. The back country seeing big line suit powder it’s really fun on everything.
I tested the line Pandora today which is. In the big mountain category for women. 162 in length and 110 underfoot quiet. White i found the ski to be really versatile it was really strong. And held in the hard steeps and crud but. It also loved some big carving powdery turns and bouncy short-terms is pretty. Wide and has quite good news good rocker you can see i couldn’t really fault it. To be honest other than it’s not extremely cheap at. 420 pounds but yeah i just really. Enjoyed playing on the ski and for a girl who’s quite small not too big 162. Is perfect and yeah lots of floats but. Really sturdy as well-kept its edge on. The steep stuff and the crud so yeah great big master ski.
Hey we need time you wore it out the ski. Resort and utah gave me a little product. Testing with the linesman world these are 172 lengths that i was able to. Test out today there are 115 underfoot it has an aspen wood core which makes it. Really light and nimble in addition it. Had sidewall construction so that absorbs vibrations and made it ski. Really smooth right today was a typical spring utah day it was pretty firm in the morning and pretty sloppy in the afternoon i see these mostly in sloppy conditions they were super quick and easy underneath my feet and additionally. Pretty much just mocked right through all the manky snow i was surprised at. How well they skied in the tight steep terrain as well overall these are probably my favorite skis out of the bunch i definitely would like to get a pair of these and see what these are like on at least a foot of powder these. Are definitely the skis that i was suggested for any aggressive lady looking to step off her game check them out the long handle.
