Manors high standard and all on freestyle boot that’s a little bit softer than average i believe vans rates them it has a three on the flex rating scale but I’d say they’re about four I’ve got about 40 days on these things. And they’re holding up really well they have a synthetic upper of. Course nice of a pleasure cuff on back that isn’t harsh on the back of your calf and a traditional laces what didn’t. Like about the lacing system that was like this kind of independent ice day that allows you foods to have like separate tensions in upper and lower. Zones and they’re actually really lightweight and that’s because of that. Classic light source it onto a coach kind of material there’s a little bit of rubber there for that for the high abrasion area and the rest is pretty. Much just that kind of ultra light material have a little bit of wear in that heal in a lateral heel area but. Other than that these things are holding up really well the synthetic upper looks. Like damn, you’re brand-new still enough I’ve rolled these things a lot inside of. This is gonna be like a webbing harness for that try fit x line or not this is a. Dual density liner there’s a custom heat. Foldable and has a nice little like mid step support which is really good it doesn’t allow your foot to get cramping right out of the box which is really nice isn’t there’s that like kind of foam x support around your ankles or. Didn’t like a body is that the upper section of the liner seems to be just a little bit softer but there’s still enough supporting your mako so like you’re not gonna blow out your ankle if you get crazy but you can still tweak out your tricks pretty hard and then there’s that neoprene toe box and a wool light bottom inside of the tribe phoenix. Couple of boots within the vans line that’s part of the high standard series. And collection they have the pro for the kenai the top end they have the og for everyone else in between and then for those really young gp kids they have the line of this dx but this is the pro this. Is a team favorite it’s design driven by innovation of course function, and they’re actually really comfortable there for almost restyle use you can. Ride side country you ride groomers and be in the parks and you can really fall in love with these things or heat multiple and for anyone for basically intermediate to advanced level and ability because of the flex rating now I’d say they’re a. Little bit stiffer than your average but of course they’ll break in but you’ll probably give them out of five six style feel but then a couple of things that. Make them feel and be a little bit more. Supportive and of course more responsive now this is a traditional lace style. Boot you can actually separate the lower and upper zone style attentions with the. Tongue tension system that you find on this kind of 3d shape full flexing tongue a cool part about this tonga it. Has features are a tongue lock down too. So on the inside of the tongue there’s a. Little loop so when you tighten that mid step that actually forces the tongues. Mid step section or in stuff into that. Heel area to lock your heels into the heel pocket now that’s a big one big problem that a lot of stores get to a toe side edge we’re getting heel lift bands combats that with that heel or. Lock down style system there’s no really like flex notches in the boot, but they. Did have a nice little plush style or pleasure cuff well on that backside so there’s not like a harsh bite but there still is a good amount of support with those double back stays another great thing about the boot is the power strap. You’ll see that across the front of the. Tongue now the one great thing about or another good thing about the design of this power strap is that you don’t have to wear it on outside of your boot you can actually just wear on the inside across the front. Of the liner or you could just cut it off if you like — i didn’t tend to like my boots to be super tight up on top so. When i ride the g or the pro i actually. Put it all on the top side you know I’d like to have this lower section kind of loose for better circulation with my feet another cool thing about the boot. Is actually the heat retention layer they’ve actually updated it for this year to actually encapsulate the toe box. So not only is the key potentially under your feet but it’s also around your toes that keeps the heat inside and the cold outside the tongue is great you know like i said it has a kind of 3d style shape it’s little bit firmer style flexing has a nice little pull tab for pulling them on and off and then there’s of course internal gussets but the. Fabric on this colorway is pretty cool it’s kinda like a i think this is actually genuine leather i don’t think this is a synthetic leather there’s a. Blue stick style a nylon of course um i think the black colorway it just has like a synthetic sound material on the outside instead of this what i think is actually you learn and then of course is the mid in the outsole this is what’s. Called the v2 waffle flex outsole it has. Auto code auto cushion the mid step so it absorbs lots of impact but it still. Has rubber in those high abrasion areas with a inverse waffle style of saw tread. So you can still grip around but for the most part they actually kind of reduce the amount of rubber in the boot keep it just a little bit more lightweight inside this bad boy is a v2 style. Harness now the harness system which is kind of hard to see here actually wraps. Around the v2 liner but you know it does. Have a lock down system so it’s not going. To become loose and there’s a nice little loop in there to get those to those hard-to-reach section but then v2 harness wraps wrong you know this v2 ultra cush liner this is a dual density liner it has internal j-bars it’s heat moldable has a pleasure cuff along the topside for better comfort the comfort flex style toe box so you know you’ve. Land deep in the basement you’re not gonna blow out your boots there’s a little comfort notch to keep the pressure distributed across the top of your foot with your ankush up and then there’s this ex cage. Now this ex cage is kind of cool because you can kind of adjust where you want it. To be if you have a little weird pressure points inside so this actually stiff in the boot up just slightly but if you want to take it off to make it boot just a little bit a more little bit softer because you’re going to be in the park you can actually definitely do that and then of course there’s gonna be yes this is a v2 footbed it’s a dual. Density eba has a moisture wicking style. Top it’s ultra cool style material it. Has a little bit of a heel and arch support there to quite a bit more it feels a little firmer and then what you find in the v1 but this is a really. That kind of vulcanized look and feel and some soul you’ve been riding on every signature colorway or boot that yeah since the 30s check i had the. Same exact soul you know so i really like that and I’ll always change like a couple of things that like i think stuff like this will just never change that’s just what i like and i like the lacing system yeah it’s the maiden was below. Was like a shorter cut you know this one is higher and just because it’s kind of like the same way you grow a lot of certain things you know i just kind of moved on to something else and sure been writing this on all last year and i really liked it so I’m happy with everything yeah awesome and you’re right though like with that soul you know with the type of ride and then you have been doing is you like. That board feel yeah and that’s in. Your soul and come makes it happen.

Yeah, it does and I think I always compare it to like the fact that it’s flat and it’s like truly flat. I just feel like if you’re putting that on a board you’re gonna be able to feel every kind of little thing. I mean when it’s in my head or not it works, you know. I like it and if I had a bunch of thread or a bunch of other stuff here i. Just don’t think i would have that same feeling yeah so it works for me and I think it’s awesome for that they do it on their groups awesome man and this was kind of like a step up in the liner series to still intuition. Heat-moldable liner but this is the. Team fitters all right that’s correct so moving into the team fit line you’re out of here which is going to be a dual density foam that we’re doing on here you have built-in j-bars on the inside that’s going to be a little more of the dense foam.

This is a moldable liner so after you ride this boot five or six times your body heat will make it take shape around your foot which is different than everybody else’s foot. You can see we got the power strap up on top to hold you all in place down. Here you have some little pockets on the side which is for the heel hold kits that you can put these a little basically doughnut looking pieces in there that’ll take up some space and just adjust your fit to make it fit even better than what they already do and then down on the inside.

You have your molded footbed with the heel crater cradle which is a little harder piece around your heel area to hold you in place and give you some nice stability and support yeah ah that’s anice then great colorway awesome. Insole as long as you need a little bit more support you can do it some bomb drops and things like that yeah just kind of that’s the way it goes or even like jumping a little bit more just the waist nobody’s going you just keep going maybe faster than you used to things like that yeah the window you get that so yes cool it’s nice too involved with. A boot to andr sort of outgrow and just kind of progressed in what I want to design and what I want to see in boots and things like that.

Here’s a question for you. When you’re in the suite do you prefer bungees drop-in ramps or winches? I was in the street, prefer natural speaking like I had a snow hill behind it like they don’t prefer that. Bitch i like the way these look they can. Look like a classic low-cut skate shoe as you see it says three and two for 32. This original design came out of kevin like etnies skate shoes and pierre andre. I think it was like four years ago decided to come out with the low-cut yeah a boot that looks just like daddy’s. Skate shoe now this is gonna have a. Little bit more of a more support than your average boot or average boot within. The 32 line has a five-minute I’d say even maybe even a six on the flex rating scale one being soft ten being released if there’s a lot of boots underneath it dinner you know a little bit softer than this thing it doesn’t have any support or doesn’t ever be like a big flex not. Hello I’m matt guf from the house comm and this is a ride triad snowboard boot it’s Sebastian teutons all-mountain freestyle intermediate to advanced level boot that really rocks the house it’s actually a really lightweight boot within our take articulated shell it does have a flex rating of a 5 in an awesome speed zone lacing system there’s actually two different zones in it the upper section in a lower section both are controlled by different pull handles yeah this is a really great boot it’s. Pretty much bomb-proof and it’s really lightweight i think one of the reasons that it’s lightweight is because of this bloom lite outsole this white. Density material is very light and then. There’s actually black sections of rubber for thus more abrasion prone. Sections of your boot overall it’s super. Lightweight and that’s like one of the things that i noticed right away when i pick it up out of the box is like this is a lightweight boot other than the fact that of course it’s lightweight inside is an amazing liner this is an intuition liner it does have internal. And external j-bars that lock in the heel into the heel pocket and then there’s extra support panos both on the lateral and the medial side so it gives a little bit more support than some other liners that that ride has and like i said it is completely heated moldable now you may be wondering what about the lacing system well the liner lacing system actually has a great harness that’s on the inside of the shell what’s cool about. This is that it does have the lock down. Lacing system so once you tighten that liner lace you can lock it on to the tongue which helps to keep the tongue centered in addition to the velcro. Hello I’m matt guff from house common this is a pair of two thousand 1932. Exits no more boots this is kind of. Where it all starts 432 within the line before beginning to intermediate level riders that want something with the traditional lace and a low price point with a comfortable out-of-the-box fit that’s extremely lightweight out of all. Of those kind of categories 32 does a. Really good job at checking off the box of each of those um it is an extremely lightweight boot and if you’re a freestyle rider on a budget and you want. Something that is shock absorption or has a shock absorption this is actually a really good boot it hasn’t felt and flex of a two on the one-to-ten fluctuating scale it’s gonna be quite a bit softer of a mood as you see and it will be part of the comfort fit style series so right again right out of the box is going to feel good, but they do have custom heat moldable liners there’re traditional laces it’s easy to lace up you know the separation system right between the mid step generally i like my uppers tight my lowers just a little bit looser this the shell panels you know. Our support along that backside is kind of it has a little bit of a back state but it’s not overly like aggressive it doesn’t have a lot of forward lean to it on the tongue is what’s called a comfort tongue it’s like kind of 3d style shaped it does have gussets to keep some of the elements out and the special part is actually what’s directly underneath your foot this is the sti evolution outsole. Foam this evolution foam is a new upgrade to the thirty-two exit for this season um it hasn’t had it before and this is one of the things that makes it so lightweight the liner is actually integrated has an integrated lacing. System with a locking tab which is really nice and the liner is actually. A dual density style foam it’s intuition its proprietary to 32 only 32 can use. This style of intuition foam there’re other brands that have intuition, but they don’t have this kind as integrated. Again lacing system and there’s a grip and rip kind of back stay along this section this is just velcro that kind of. Keeps the heel lock down just a little bit more inside of the liner so you don’t get me a heel lift but one thing i love about 32 boots is that they. Have good heel hold and with that dual-density there’s good harder foam and there’s a softer foam it’s a good combination of both but you don’t really need to heat mold easy if you don’t want to you can just put them pull them out of the box and your body heat will actually activate the molding properties your foot rests upon this thing this is a comfort footbed single density va has. Kind of moisture wicking style top there’s a little bit of 3d or contours to it but there’s not really much support with it overall though if you. This is a pair of two thousand 1932 last snowboard boots one of the most well-rounded boots within the 32 line therefore all mont freestyle use from the peaks to the parks powder and. Everything in between and anyone can actually ride them from beginners to advanced level abilities can really enjoy the lash now the lashed has been. Within 32 for i think gosh almost two. Decades it’s gone through a long different changes and i think this may be one of the best lasts today it has a. Feeling flex rating of a six a little bit stiffer than your average booting is part of that team fit collection as you see this one actually features a. Traditional lacing system there’s a lot. Of different last for this before this year there’s a crab grab there’s a santa cruz there’s a premium there’s a double boa and this is kind of the traditional one and you know 32 has done that because a lot of people follow the last bay, but they want some little stuff well. There’s some different things about it but this is connected the tried-and-true one this is the one that everyone kind of has always fallen in love with but it’s a little bit stiffer than average now with that six feeling flex there’s a. Performance style back stays a little stiffer on that back side but it’s still. Soft along that top so you’re not gonna get that boot or hide back bite when you’re on your heel side edge there’s also articulation that separates both upper and lower zone sweetie you’re bending over the top of that toe side edge in combination with a 3d molded even flexing tongue you’re gonna get a nice even consistent style flex it’s not gonna like flex out odd and then lastly in the upper section there’s a those independent eye stays it’s a wrapping material over the top of your boot instead of just like squishing all the material together when you tighten those laces now the another cool part about it is there’s a bration resistant style toe and then that that back say again is a. Little bit thicker over like a rubbery style material a little bit more abrasion resistance so when you’re getting in and out your boots if you’re hiking yeah it’s gonna be less likely to. Wear out a bunch another great thing about the 32 lashed is that it has a 1 to 1 last which means that if this is a. Size 9 and a half liner it’s gonna fit into a nine and a half shall not a size. 10 shall so a 32 does that with the lash and that’s a great thing because you get the best performance and the best fit underneath your foot is going to be this thing this is a sti evolution outsole foam sole its super lightweight it has lots. Of rugged tread and it’s its not gonna last as long as trub. But that’s a kind of price you pay for having a super lightweight style boot and then inside of this is a an. Integrated team lacing system so notice. That the liner doesn’t have a lacing system or on it there’s an internal style harness that has a locking kind of. Lace handle to it only goes up about halfway so the top section the boots could need a little bit softer than the lower section especially with something. Stuffed that happens inside of here this is the team liner it’s a dual intuition. Style foam custom heat moldable you don’t have to keep molded because your body heat will actually activate the molding process which is great there is a support panels on the lateral and medial side of power strap up on top so you can crank that down which is nice and then one of my favorite things is actually the heel hold kit there’s actually little pockets on the lateral and medial side where you can place these little rings this is a five millimeter thick ring and this one is a. Three millimeter thick ring if you have an odd c foot and you want better heel hold you can just slip these inside. Those little pockets for a better fit the boots do feature a kind of exaggerated style size j bars on the inside which is nice and a neoprene style toe box so there’s a little give there so you don’t just smash in your foot into your toe box your foot rests. Upon and desks this is a team foot bit i. Do a density there’s a heel create a little bit of arch support with a moisture beginning style top this is a rad boot you know one of my favorite. Things about it is the heel hold if you have a problem with your heel is kind of lifting up of 32 laughs doesn’t really. Good job at holding it down this is. Snowboard boot designed for a beginner to advanced level snowboarders this is kind of like jp walker’s brainchild it’s an extremely lightweight boot that makes my top 5 bakers your bucket category for 2017 this is a really read. Boot with a softer flex right a lot of for the synthetic kind of upper doesn’t. Have a lot of support to it there’s a little bit traditional laces, and he kind of softer 3d molded tongue the cool. Think about 32 boots all of them is that. They have one-to-one last meaning that this shall exactly fits this liner not. Just one shell that fits two different size liners that can really stands out. When i look at 32 boots and how they fit there’s a bit of articulation in that upper not much of a back say however the. Light does have abrasion resistant heel material and tomita real as well and. Then underneath your foot is a sti. Evolution foam outsole there’s no rubber. It’s extremely lightweight and wear down. A little bit quicker than traditional rubber but with that you have you know an extremely light boot there’re traditional laces of course and one of my favorite things about why the lights. Fit so well is that lower section. Actually wraps really well around the top of your foot there’s not a lot of material there that gets in your way if you want it to snug there you can get it snug and wraps over that. 3d molded tongue really well another cool thing about the top section so just a little bit softer so you don’t get that boot bite when you’re on that heel side edge its part of the comfort to the series within the 32 line there’s. The comfort the team and the performance this is a supposed to be super comfortable right out of the box and it is and part of that is because of this level one intuition foam liner the liner. Is heat moldable of course i like to have a little bit of velcro in that heel pocket that actually you know connects. To the heel that’s a in the interior of the shell you know i said there’s not a lace harness there’s integrated lacing system actually on the liner it’s pretty simple there’s nothing to like can i keep it centered, so we were he molding these things make sure that the liners tongue is exactly where you want to be. And then inside is a Sherpa line top. Evie a style footbed there’s really not too much like 3d contouring to it at all. But it is extremely light footbed super. Comfortable because of that plush Sherpa top this is a cool it’s probably 32. Light again is part of my top 5 bang for. Your buck boots out there a little bit softer than average but it does have a. Boot jp had first got his pro model boot. From 30 to a decade ago and they did the. Styling that kind of resembled his. Original boot it’s an all-mountain freestyle boot you can take pretty much anywhere it has a feeling flex or about four it’s part of the comfort fit collection right out of the box it’s gonna feel really good and anyone can. Ride it from beginners to advanced level riders who want something that’s. Extremely lightweight with a traditional lace and a good amount of kind of like flexion over the top of that toe side edge as you see it does yeah have it has traditional laces but the upper shell. Panels actually have a good amount of articulation both on the lateral and medial side so when you bend over the top of that toasted edge there can be a lot of material pinching underneath your. Ankle strap the support panels that you. See on the shell a little bit bigger a. Little bit larger than you’ll see and some of the other boots underneath this price point there’s a little more you. Now a lot of medial stiffness and there’s gonna be these beefy material panels on that toe box area and in that. Heal you know gp of course he’s anonymous bindings a lot hiking stairs and you need a like abrasion resistant. Resistant material in those high wear areas while you’re inside like getting in and out of your bindings the tongue. Is a 3d molded tongue it has internal gussets the 3d molded tongue is nice. Because it very consistent and even flex there’s not like a flex notched i like ben’s over the top and you know the lower section is stiffer or feels to further than the upper section and actually flexes really evenly underneath. Your foot is actually this spi evolution. Outsold style foam it’s extremely. Lightweight but it will wear out just a little bit more it’s still super shock absorption absorbent and you know kind. Of surprised they didn’t put you know like rubber in there but actually not really I’m not that surprised because they the boot is called the light and it’s extremely lightweight if they added a rubber so it wouldn’t be as lightweight as it is i guess um inside of this bad boy. Is yes this is the comfort fits a liner it’s a dual density it has a little bit. Softer of a top so when you’re leaning on that heel side edge you’re not gonna. Get a lot of high back bite it’s actually just a little bit softer which is nice there’s gigantic internal j-bars. Integrated locking a lace system and. Then a grip and rip velcro heal that helps keep the liner like inside that. Heel pocket of the shell another cool. Think about this is that it’s actually a one-to-one last that means that this size 10 liner actually fits into a size. 10 shall some blue manufacturers put. Like a nine and a half liner into a ten shall this has a perfect integration perfect fit liner and shell which is. Which is really great I’m glad that 32 does that and then of course this lastly is this molded dva footbed single. Density moisture wicking cell top there’s a little bit of 3d contours to it but there’s really not much support to him but overall the gp or the. Hello I’m matt guf from the house calm. And this is a pair of 32 light snowboards. Boots they’re designed for freestyle driving they’re really lightweight really comfortable of course because of 107 heat moldable liners and. They’re kind of like jp walker’s like. Under-the-radar pro model boot hijab you know that ambassador / legend status. Within 32 he’s been riding for 32 for a really long time, so we still kind of has. A pramana boot and it’s pretty much known as the light it does have a flex rating of a three on the one-to-ten scale meaning that’s gonna be quite a bit softer there’s traditional laces articulation of course on the outer shell legs through panels a little spine. Back stain and then an independent ice state but that means that um near the transition zone between the upper and the lower sections of the boot there’s actually a nice state that wraps around. The top of the foot for a better secure fit along with that is going to be an. Awesome sole now this outsole is called. Evolution outsole it’s a one-piece one. Density material its proprietary to 32s. It’s really lightweight and that’s one of the things that makes us think so lightweight what’s great about the evolution also though is that it has a high density for hollow lightweight it is so it’s pretty abrasion resistant almost sometimes as abrasion resistant. As like a solid rubber inside of this awesome shall it’s gonna be a level one liner it’s 100% heat moldable it’s. Called an intuition liner even if you can’t heat mold them the your body heat. Will actually help to form this to your foot making them completely customizable. There’s an integrated lacing system right on the liner nice little g bars internally and a nice little support. Panel up on top inside it’s going to be a plush top-level one foot bed it’s nice. And simple clean-cut this is the 32. Light snowboard boot a well-rounded freestyle boot that’s of course lightweight and you can check it out at the house calm.

In this video we’re gonna talk about the new Bataleon Carver. It’s a board for the guy that’s a sophisticated rider that understands the nuances of laying a trench on the mountain. It’s a board that harkens back to stiffer more aggressive carving boards.

It does have traditional camber coupled with their three bt and sidekick technology but that doesn’t matter. It helps this board engages more. This is a board for turning. This is a carving man’s carving board. This board. Features battalions dynamic camber which. Is a more aggressive camber.  It really lets you load it up and spring out of turns. I’t still traditional camber. It still has battalions three bt and Sidekick technology on. It’s just more aggressive traditional camber.

This board is unique. I mean it’s a carving board obviously so the flex pattern is very directional, slightly softer nose, stiffening up back through the tail with not a lot of torsional give to it. This board is stable though if you want to go mach 10 down a groomer go for it. If you want to race boarder cross go for it.

This board is designed to go fast as and absorb any chatter or micro vibrations that you could feel. It’s one of those boards that’s very specialized and it’s very itchy. This board does have snap and it’s really designed to snap out of turns but that translates over to pop and holly’s for this board. You have to aggressively load it up and when you do you’re gonna feel that snap coming right out of this board. It’s designed to pop when it needs to. You’re coming through the board across course the guy in front of your fault awliyas as that’s what I would do. Don’t forget to tail tap his head too, just to let him know he’s a bitch. This is a board that you can snap and pop with when you need to.

So, how does this board turn? Well, it makes right turns. It makes left turns. You could even try to switch turn it although I wouldn’t recommend it because their tail kick isn’t that high. This is a board for card. It’s at home on edge. You want to set it. Rip the turn transition over to set it. Forget it. This is a board for layin trenches. You want to eurocar. Get down as low as you can. Really drive that nice center flex that board and push it to where it needs to go.

This is possibly one of the best Carving boards I’ve been on in years and with that 3 BT technology you get an easier entry into a turn it transitions in smooth and then you drive that board and then you transition over and drive it again. This is a board that doesn’t want to be flat based. It wants to be on edge. It wants to aggressively drive through turns. There’s only one person that I would recommend this board. For the guy that wants to go fast and turn hard. This is for someone that’s doing usasa events and railing board across. This is a guy that’s he might be in the beer league of boardercross but he wants to win go for.

It’s a board for seriously carving and that’s it I can’t stress that enough. This is a word that’s a in a super niche and it’s designed to just be in a person’s quiver. This is not a daily driver. I can’t stress that enough. All right, so now you’ve decided what snowboard you’re gonna get and you’re going to decide where you’re gonna buy it. Hi I’m connor from surface to our sports. And this is a battalion 2019 and. Recovered so a lot of people come into. The store and ask me connor what’s the magic carpet for what sort of level of rider and be honest any level of riding. The ride magic art whether you’re an absolute beginner just sorta mastering the first turns all the way up to an advanced level rider who’s got many seasons under the belt the magic carpet. But gone medium flex profile so it sits on about six out of ten what that means is that beginner novice level riders it’s gonna be soft enough forgiving. Enough that they’re not gonna find it difficult to ride on but at the same time there was advanced level riders gonna get enough out of it enough response there’s a mountain and this. Board you can charge absolutely anywhere. On the mountain it is a twin tips powder. Board which is generally unheard-of. There’s no other board that i know of that’s like that what that means is that they took battalion took the border there’s the ct nice surfy powder board. That they have a directional shape they went look how do we make it better they chopped in half and the mend into a twin tip so it’s effectively a freestyle twin tipped powder bolt and it is incredible. Three bt we’ve talked about this before triple bass technology on all battalion boards what’s it really does so it’s three. Separate panels on the tip and the tail. Of snowball that run down to about here what that means that gives the board so. Much more float and so much versatility that you can take this board into the powder and it’ll just lift you up out of the powder kind of like a spoon that will just lift you out of the snow you’re not put loads of pressure on your back leg anymore you just glide and off through the powder but then at the same time you can take this into the park if you like hitting kickers you’re on a sort of 360s 540 ain’t big spins gives. You load more forgiving ride because you can land a little bit off axis a little bit of overall headed under rotated and it carries you through makes. You look that actually makes you a better rider so in addition to three bt. Battalion have also added the sidekick. Feature which is you can’t really see it there but it’s the concave shape that lifts the board out of the snow just past the contact points so this is the part of the board where you actually initiate your turns and this bit of the board doesn’t really have any need to touch any of the stuff and by lifting it up there they add into that already wonderful triple bass feeling it just gives that that little bit more lift little bit more forgiving ride and it. Also carries you through sometimes they hit that like that tundra hard pack snow it just sort smoothes that all out but again just makes it better rider So I’ll talk a little bit about the carbon placement in this board what’s gots got two carbon stringers that run from the tip and the tail to about this point in the bindings here what that does is it stiffens the ends. Of the board up so you can charge round at speed and you don’t have to worry about the ends and board that sit there wobbling around and this being a twin tipped board as well-designed the e can be riding at switch but at the same time but not carbon in the ends and forward means that dramatically increases your ollie any nollie potential while even. Then center of the board nice and soft so you get a really lovely playful surfy. Feel while you’re out on the mountain The magic carpet also comes with a hyper. Glide wintered base now wintered base you’ll find is twice as fast as an. Ordinary extruded base you really notice that the first ten meters where you’ll just get that sort of whip of acceleration and then it also holds wax. Twice is not just more porous and all. Around just better quality base now come down the big question how much does an amazing board like this cost i let you know that it’s 499 pounds but for magic. Carpet that’s completely reasonable price this is a board unlike any other. On the market the twin tipped freestyle powder board you’ve absolutely dumped it. Down with snow you want to take it out at their back country side country it’s got you covered you want to hit the park twin tip twice in three bt gives you that versatility just amazing or you just want to cruise. Around all the mountain it’s got you covered 499 pounds its bark. Sizing the magic carpet comes in four sizes the 151 154 156 159 and you’ll. Notice that there’s no tremendously large sizes there’s no like 160 ones or anything like that the reason for it is there’s no need with the magic carpet in the powder it rides about six five to. Six centimeters longer so if you normally get like a 56 powder board you. Want a 51 in this but then don’t worry too much because it also rides sort of two to three centimeters longer on the piste which just again adds to its amazing versatility as a snowboard but. Hi guys I’m angelo from surface-to-air. Sports and today I’m gonna run you through the new 2019 battalion whatever. Snowboard. Okay so whatever 2019 first thing you’ll probably notice is the graphic yes it’s a Louisville hate. Graphic surface-to-air sports we love it. But we know some people and not cat. People and they may not love it as much secondly the name whatever that is sits. Into this board perfect for example what. Do you want to do whatever this board literally can do any terrain whatsoever. It’s actually noted in the sheet you’ll actually clearly see all mountain freestyle powder cruising whatever you. Do or don’t want to do than whatever has got you covered so yeah make sure you check this one out for sure let me run you through some of the features so. Sizing what size is does it come in okay. So the whatever comes in a few sizes of 51 a 54 at 57 and then also has two wide. Offerings for the guys with a bigger fee or that heavier weight shorter guys which is a 59 and a 62 remember wide. Boards from battalion around about one. Centimeter wider than the standard size okay so if your life-size 11 through upwards then. Really look at a wide board or at least give us a call or talk to us or pop in store may help you out okay so with a name like whatever obviously it’s got a suit quite a few types of rider so if your beginner all. The way through to an advanced rider again the whatever it’s got you covered that is the beauty of this particular board so that’s got you covered what. About flex the flex rating is bang in the middle with a five out of ten so again it’s not too stiff it’s not too. Soft hence why you really can ride it all over the mountain being a board that covers a massive amount of terrain for everything from freestyle or mountains. Or powder obviously you would expect it to be a type of board that can be ridden switch yes it can it’s 99 percent swing. So if you’re into riding switch weigh your 180s whether you just learning 180s. Or anything like that by fall is you know that you can land and ride away with this with no issue whatsoever you’re not going to lean over the front or the back of the board on landing. okay so one of the main features or the. Main feature really further whatever and all battalion boards you’ve probably heard of it before is free bt triple. Based technology no other boards have this is patented by battalion and i. Cannot express how well it actually works it makes the board very forgiving super easy to ride but at the same time. Just gives it super immense floating. Powder i mean no more burning that back leg you know trying to get the nose up or anything like that you just don’t have to do that with a battalion with tbt basically it acts like an axe like a. Bit of a scoop on the nose and on the towel so when you’re riding and nose is. Actually being pushed up out of the snow and pushing the snow either side to the left and right which means you’re just not sitting on your back foot burning all the time which makes it really good and easy to ride in powder but the bonus is not just powder right there when you’re on piece to initiate a turn at hillside to toe side. Transition it’s super easy quite simply. Because they’re lifted so the tip and at ao is lifted ever so slightly too really. Make you engage that edge of a finish to turn up for you but most boards with this kind of technology like rockers and campers the downside is when you go quick the boards aren’t quite stiff enough and you get the speed wobbles and then you start to think you know what I’m going to fall so I’ll better slow down well as with tbt that doesn’t. Really happen because what you’ve got is you’ve got a mid section of the board is completely flat or maybe a little bit of. Moderate camber in there but the rest of the board’s got tbt so it lifts those contact points so you’re not going to catch an edge puts everything else on the snow and keeps your surface area solid to the snow which in turn makes. The board very stable. On the whatever 2019 as a carbon. Placement rod here to here and basically what that does it stiffen up the center a little bit still keeps the flex in the tip in the tao but by stiffening up the center just make sure that when you’re at speed you feel secure so underfoot is solid you’re not gonna get the speed what was earlier that you do get of a lot of other boards and that’s always nice to know the whatever’s also had a core upgrade this year okay it’s got dst rods one long one here on one long one. Here and basically what that’s done they’re hollow so it’s drop the weight dramatically of the board which obviously in turn is always nice to know but it also makes the edge response a lot more lively and snappy. Which is obviously what we always want from board especially when we transition them from toe side to hillside or you. Want that take off on a kicker you know you want to make sure that edge locks in on takeoff so yeah so that’s another good feature up to 2019 from the whatever Flip-flop base what is it good the amount. Of complaints, you get on snowboards about these what colors my base is gonna be when it turns up we don’t know so. Basically what happens is a flip-flop base works like this is to try and make the whole process of building a board is more mentally friendly as possible so. You can see the base itself is blue and. Then the writing is black okay the next one that comes out of factory for example will have loads of wastage so you’ll have where it’s black here and be blue so what they do is they flip-flop the base so where you’ve got. Blue on this base it will be black and when you’ve got black on this base it’ll be blue and that way what we’re doing is we’re not wasting loads of materials but i know as the customer you always want. To know what base you get in some people like the blue some people like the black so just make sure you ask us first because obviously you can never guarantee what you’re gonna get it is a 50-50 but if you really want something. Then give us a ring we’re help you out and make sure that you get the right color base. In this video we’re gonna talk about the Ventures Zelix. Their quiver of one board. If you will from their lineup it’s got a slight setback and a slight taper to it but not enough that it’s overwhelming or you’re drastically gonna notice. This is a board that you go from the peak to the park although I really wouldn’t recommend going in the park of this board and everything in between.

This is a board that is their quiver of one and they cater more to a niche market, they cater to that guide that’s going to be out there chase and pow that one that’s you know weekend warrior trying to get in as many laps as they can. The person that’s just out there regardless of conditions and that’s where the zeal extends its that board for that guy that can only have one board, but they have more of a focus on free ride or putter chasing.

This board features Ventures straight-line rocker which is a flat in the rocker so outside the insert packs there’s a mellow rocker in the tip and the tail which gives this board stability underfoot better floating pout and easier turn initiation. Seelix comes in with just above. Middle-of-the-road all-mountain freestyle flex to it you’ve. Got play in the tips and you’ve got a decent amount of torsional flex by-and-large this board is very stable especially underfoot there’s a little bit of chatter and the tip in the tail but it doesn’t resonate back underfoot.

This is due in part to the rocker profile. It’s a slightly stiffer than middle-of-the-road all mountain freestyle flex that’s stable the sweet. Spot that’s in the tail is minuscule and. I mean minuscule you’ve got to know where it is to properly engage it but. When you do this board will lock into a. Butter it will lock into a press you can. Play around with it that if you don’t. It’s gonna be really soggy and you’re not gonna like it’s just how it is. The one thing i really liked about this board was how well it laid a trench when. I was driving it through a carve this is a board that just is super quick to. Engage super snappy and you can drive. Aggressively or be laid back on it does. What you needed to do and it’s very damp underfoot you don’t get bucked around you don’t notice any chatter on edge it plows through everything with ease this. Is a board for the resort rider that’s searching out pow and taking freestyle. To it someone that’s sending it off a cliff dropping off cornice is buttering. And deep fresh snow someone that’s really out there just pushing it to the limit and going for it.

It’s one of those boards for the guy that’s transitioning from being a park rider to a powder rider someone that just wants to go out and spin into fresh snow. Matt guf here! House Snowboard Shop. This is the K2 Ryker snowboard boot. This is an amazing boot. When I first pulled this out of the box I thought to myself no way that this boot at this price point has so many rad features. A lacing system, of course, is gonna be the BOA lacing system. You guys all know about works. Click it in, strap it down. Quick easy efficient. You know every once. In a while your laces get loose this. Think if it does which it won’t pop it. Lock it tightens, it good to go.

It has the kandra interior lining system. Inside your boot there’s a lining system that tightens from the outside of your boot .Every once in a while if you’re in, if you’re going inside, the silage got a long lift line or you just want to walk around without tightening or untighten in all of your boots well. Literally all you have to do release this lever and the inside of your liners are going to be nice and loose. You don’t even have to undo the quick and easy BOA system.

On the outside it has a low pro harsh mellow outsole. Low profile. It’s nice and thin. Saves a lot of weight and just like the K2 bindings and boards have. They have the new harsh mellow technology in the forefoot. You’ll see like right here is a silence soft little padding is actually all throughout the forefoot and in the heel as well the footbed. On the inside is 3d form evie, a footbed with again harsh mellow. If I were to take that liner out on the inside it would be 3d formed which is definitely nice for comfort because if you have uncomfortable boot you’re not gonna want to ride for a long time. I’m kind of guy that when you go on hill or when i go hunting heel I’m out there pretty much non-stop all day until the lips close down. So if you get it comfortable boot like this with levee a foot pad harsh mellow it back throughout the outsole and the footed.

This thing is gonna be comfortable all day long. The line of it. Is definitely rad it has a multiple J-bars. These bars are other small little inserts that you put around your ankle so you get a nice tight heel fit in your heel cup. It also has the power straps so it’s inside. You’ll see that you can ratchet this thing down a little bit tighter then you could most traditional cuffs in the liners. It does have a 3d moldable tongue so the things can be wrapped around your leg. It’s not gonna feel like a big piece of plastic in front of you. It’s going to be definitely comfortable. I’m nobody can see from there but this is pretty cush stuff. This is pretty soft and it does have an asymmetrical cuff so you know even though the outside of your leg and the inside your leg or shaped a little bit different around the calf area.

These things are going to be shaped for maximum comfort from the bottom of your foot basically to the top of the boot to on. The boot flex is about a six so it’s a little bit stiffer than the average boot but once you break these babies in their pretty much can be bomb-proof. Let’s get the K2 Ryker boa system, kandra system.

I’m at gulf this is a house tour job. This is a key to rikers snowboard boot this is the boot that everyone wants to ride because it sets the standard with the boa system the intuition comfort fit. 3d liner is going to keep you happy and snug all season long because of the. External j bars that lock your heel in place and because of the power strap that keeps the 3d molded tongue a lot. And a loaded the low-profile harsh mellow. Infused outsole is going to keep your. Feet happy and smiling all day long the. Marshmallow system is part of this boot. All over an outsole and in the comfort. Ev a footbed you’ll see those. Marshmallow pants well katie and decided. To keep your feet happy and well damn. Bird with the harsh mellow system great about these liners is actually the lacing system that it has an internal lacing system in the show you. Can tighten and loosen the internal. Liner lacing system on the outside of. The boot so if you’re going inside the chalet your boots are really tight you don’t want to take your whole foot out or anything like that all you have to do is just pull the so strap over and up a. Lot of to loosen just a little bit by pulling this strap as well the bold. Coiler system is what makes these boots so efficient to loosen the boot all you. Have to do is pull the boa knob out and. You’re out to tighten the boa coiler. System all you have to do is push not in and turn clockwise and the boot don’t. Tighten this is the boot that everyone wants to ride it is the key to rikers snowboard babe. You.

United Shapes is a new brand for us this year. Really cool designs all their boards. Look really good. They’re all gonna feature this positive camber profile so just lift in the center of the board. Keep it aggressive. keep it really solid. You know, all classic snow woods are built this way. It’s the way a lot of people learn to ride. Personally, I’m a big fan. It’s just gonna be really solid hold an edge. Really well when you’re carving hard on icy day and also be really solid if you’re leaning back too far when you go off a jumper you know right in that back country.

It’s gonna feature a set back a little bit so the nose is gonna be a little longer in the tail. Got a nice lift on the nose to keep it up and out of the snow in the powder. It’s also gonna feature this set back insert again so if you want to set it back even more and just have a lot of weight towards the tail your board in that deep pow day and just slash hard carve get real zip you feel. You have the option to do that. As well the base of this board is gonna feature a graphite wintered base so graphite is what basis for racers.

Usually use really strong really fast gonna want to keep it waxed up every couple times you go ride but the space is gonna keep you riding fast all season long that’s pretty much it for the space cadet. Again, just a really cool board. You know, it’s gonna ride really well. Switch especially for a tapered board. Really getting the power, really getting the whole mountain. I’m just kind of board. You can take everywhere but definitely gonna be super fun in the powder. Gonna have a pretty just full positive. Camber profile really long camber. Profile on this one so gonna be really good for riding at high speeds really good for if you want to zip through some turns just charging really fast not. Gonna be quite as if through trees like. A moment the shorter camera base or like a reverse camber would be but it’s gonna float really well it’s gonna pop early well and be really good for when you’re charging really fast it’s gonna have. About a two centimeter setback it as well. Has this kind of extra set back area right here so if you really want to set. That back get that nose fully out of the powder this thing’s gonna float really easily you can kind of ride with your knees more relaxed and have to worry about leaning back super hard to get that nose up it’s also going to have a. Wintered base so really strong really. Durable base gonna hold up really well against whatever’s lying beneath the powder and you do want to make sure you keep this waxed up though so you can keep charged and fast throughout the entire season other than that i mean. It’s pretty much just simple just all-around good powder board that you can take on the entire mountain a little bit of a lifted note so you can keep that floating well yeah really cool. It’s one of those boards that’s versatile enough to ride the whole mountain whether you’re going in the park or your chased and pout and believe me i chased pow on this thing overall it’s fun it’s forgiving it’s not. Gonna kill you and you can ride it just about anywhere so this board does have like a set back camber to it but it’s more like a camber 2.0 and you actually look at the profile of it instead of just having it arcs it like kind of comes up flattens comes down hits that rocker. In the nose so when you do load it up. You get pop and snap but it’s very easy to engage it doesn’t fight you and this. Board just wants to pop off anything in its path overall the pioneer comes in with one of. Those middle of the road flexes you got play in the tips you got a lot of torsional flex to it yet it’s still stable it’s very lively it’s a board. That you can go up and go fast with and. Not worry about the chatter but you can. Still play butter when you need to overall it’s playful that’s what you need to know about this board alright so. This board has cambered and that means it’s gonna pop you do have to load it up and when you do it snaps this board can. Handle jumps that’s all you need to know you look at the shape on this thing and you think it’s a powder board it’s not you can go out you can hit jumps and yet. Don’t have to worry about it the tips of this board are super playful and you can really get your weight out. Over them and just press into it that knows what that setback in that rocker is amazing you can pop 180 lock it in. Hold it snaps right back out and continue. On your way this board swivels and sizzles when you want to butter with it. And if you want a jib fuck it go jib. With it i did i know you will so that’s all you need to know you want to get sideways that camber profile is gonna hug the rail you wanna nose your tail press go for it. Don’t worry about it the side cut on. This board is quick and nimble it engages its edge hold and it stays locked in and it drives all the way. Through the car this is a board that when you see where you want to go and you get it on edge forget it’s on autopilot it’s just gonna cruise right over there and do what you needed to do. This is a board that it fucking rocks at. Carbon that’s all you need to know about it I’d recommend this board for anyone. In this video we’re going to talk about the united shapes cadet it’s a. Directional shaped board with camber and rocker that you can ride all over the. Mountain yes it does look like it’s a. Freebie stick but it’s actually an. All-mountain board it’s fun its poppy. It’s lively so this board does have like. A setback camber to it but it’s more like a camber 2.0 when you actually look at the profile of it instead of just having an arc it like kind of comes up flattens comes down hits that rocker in. The nose so when you do load it up. You get pop and snap but it’s very easy to engage it doesn’t fight you and this. Board just wants to pop off anything in its path The cadet has one of those middle-of-the-road directional flex patters that means softer nose slightly. Stiffer tail now the flex that’s softer. In the nose is only where the rocker hits the camber zone so that’s where you’re gonna notice the most flex out of it which also creates a great butter pad and then it just slightly stiffens up. All the way through to the tail which is just a hair slightly stiffer and there’s. A decent amount of torsional give overall this board is very stable it. Didn’t me i didn’t get knocked around I’ve charged through a bunch of shondor field there was a bunch of scree. And underneath the fresh snow that had fallen in a basin so you know you’re. Going from great power slashes into just hit and frozen death chunder and it. Didn’t wash out it was great i didn’t get bucked i didn’t fall over i didn’t get knocked around it was just a great all-around stable ride so let’s talk. About pow buttering on this board that rocker and the nose coupled with the flex pattern is amazing. This board walks into like 180 noses. Butter so you just spin around you land on your nose press into it and then you just swivel right back out it doesn’t hook it doesn’t fight you it just locks. In perfectly and makes it fun i was buttering all over the mountain on this board just having a blast in the fresh snow that i was right look it’s on a table i put a. Snowboard on the table because people said they needed to see a snowboard on a table this sport has a slight taper to. It does that affect it no does this. Board get on edge easily yes does it carve well yes can you rail a. Gyro carp most certainly this board is. Designed for turnin and burnin it’s one of those boards that you can go out and rail a bank slalom with or later oh carve on a grim rock with now granted the. Groomers were kind of covered with fresh snow so i was really out there just slash and in bash an where it still. Turns well that’s all you really need to know about it so who would i recommend this board for i would definitely recommend it for the guy that’s gonna have one board once a. Hey what’s up guys tj here today I’m out. Riding at keystone, and we’re gonna be looking at the united shapes orbit. Snowboard let’s check it out alright. Guys the orbit is more of a free ride and. Carving specialist but it’s also going to do really well in powder it’s got a lot of tech in it that are both conducive to carving and providing float and powder. It’s a camber dominant snowboard but. You’ll find a little bit of early rise rocker in the nose that rocker is going to start just a little bit past the front insert pack it’s also a really wide snowboard I’m on the 57 today and. It’s got a twenty-six point three centimeter waist width so pretty wide at the waist that’s going to be conducive to laying turns over and preventing heel and toe drag the orbit does have quite a. Stiff flex I’d write it rights around to seven out of ten it feels pretty similar in both the nose and the tail but it’s a very lively and. Energetic snowboard this is the type of snowboard that if you’re not on point making sure that you’re pushing the snow around the snow is gonna push you around. you’re also gonna find a six millimeter. Taper on the snowboard so just a little bit of a narrower tail than the nose and a 15 millimeter setback so that stance is set back within the side cut on this guy and honestly the taper combined with. The setbacks dance and the camber dominant profile are my three favourite things that when they come together they make a snowboard that’s really fun for carving seriously so fun for carving guys. Couldn’t really lay this board over at high speeds it’s gonna set a strong edge you really just open it up the orbits. Also gonna come with a high density wintered base it’s gonna keep you really fast in all snow conditions it’s picking up speed really quickly out here today super impressed with how fast it’s going on these groomers and if you do find yourself in powder the orbit comes. With an extra set of insert packs so you can really set your stance back on those deep days and make sure that you’re getting loads of flow we don’t have any powder today out here at keystone but I’m confident that that taper combined with that setback and the rocker in the nose is gonna give you plenty of floats if you find yourself in some soft snow. The router that comes to mind for me on this snowboard is gonna be that guy who just really enjoys rippin groomers making turns at really high speeds looking for those technical steeper.
