The Best 13 Splitboards and Bindings for Ladies

Today is my first day split boarding. I'm out of birth dude. Pass super stoked. Couldn't ask for better conditions. Pretty amazing out here. We're just at the bottom of our loop right now going to send it up the hill and do some touring and try to get some nice cow laps in. Today I'm going to talk about my Voile universal split board bindings. It's my first day on them and I'm just gonna let you guys know what I think, on my first impressions on those bindings and just split boarding in general.

Colorado Avalanche info center says it's a super low avalanche risk today. It's the safest rating that they give also this late in the season. The snow's nice and fused up and pretty safe, but we do all have our beacons, shovels, and probes. Just in case. Oh my god, should stick out here guys. We're almost at the top. I think we might be turning around right now. I'm out riding with my buddies Jordan and come today and looks like we're going to get some good turn.

I think we're going to hit a line right up there somewhere. Maybe over there, maybe that shoot right there so I thought this was going to be the hardest part transitioning from split to snowboard mode but I guess with the lubrication from the snow that binding just slid right on it was super easy and that in that pin which a lot of people complain about wasn't really a big deal so sorry if the audio quality drops guys. The input jacks my external mic so I hope you got to hear me okay.

So we just got to the top for our first lap. I just kind of getting all the gear ready. Got my flint converted back to snowboard mode and just kind of discussing our lines. The two lines I showed you earlier. The first one is over there. Second guy is kind of ahead of us over there. The binding so pretty good on the way up I'm running the bowl. A universal split board binding just with my regular union bindings. You, guys, seen all the review videos, I suggest. Your Jones snowboards review. I'm also on the Jones explorers flip board and I have a spark rd skin, so they felt really comfortable on the way up. Nice long strides. Overall, it's been an awesome experience so far I'm super happy with the bowl a universal kit. The transition was super. Mellow putting in that tin was no big deal. Sliding the bindings on was nice and smooth so I'm really happy so far.

Really, the only difference I'm seeing is that you're elevated just a little bit over the board which isn't really that big of a deal so far. It's been pretty sweet. All right, we're at the top of the first line and a little scared but look how good this looks! All right, do it all good. All right, here comes dude that was insane bottomless George about to drop. You've taken a different route than we did. Oh good, dude! All right, it's still pretty early in the day. We're going to head back down to that cabin and go up for one more lap. We get clip down if I could we take under. Almost back to the cabin. Alright, guys. We're going up for round two. We've got some snow coming down but a temperature stayed nice and cool all day. So, it should still be nice and safe. We probably won't go up to tie this time but uh trying to get some more of those bottomless turns in that was epic.

I feel like you can get some really nice long strides with these bindings so that's pretty awesome Knudsen help and keep up with my ski. Your friends taking some long strides keeping a good pace. One think though when I was setting these guys up today. I don't have my right binding perfectly, a zero on the ball. A slider so I'm about 3 degrees angled forward so I'm not perfectly at the stance I sent my pucks at well. Yeah, other than that it's been really good out here today. Super stoked on the experience. Transition time has been really short.

I feel like it's harder to get into touring mode than in to snowboard mode when you're sliding that pin through but it's really not that big of a deal either way. I wouldn't say it took me more than three or four minutes either way, so I think these bindings are pretty sweet if you're looking to get out in the backcountry I'd highly recommend them 160 bucks brand-new msrp. It's a lot more affordable than binding a three or four hundred dollars or more split board binding alright keep going. We'll go one more lap in and then head back to the car and get back to Denver as a reasonable time.

You got the avalanche-prone terrain here. Guys, it's about 38 degrees wind blow to slope underneath this cliff band, so we're just going to traverse it one by one and try to reduce the load on this face here and get across it safely. Be found the spot. So good pretty excited much better than anticipated. Look at this. All right, dropping tj the hips and let it rip. All right, final stretch to the truck of Apollo camp. Oh my god, guys that was so much better than expected. The standard has been set for splitboarding. Now we're good hey buddy definitely going to be doing a lot more of this spring, especially, if the snow keeps up like this.

One last think on those bindings that second time. It took me a lot longer to transition because I didn't realize my binding wasn't slid all the way forward so when you are transitioning on these guys make sure that it's all the way forward or you might waste a bunch of time trying when it's not going to say awesome.

We're here at yes bow, and we're here to talk about all the improvements Karakorum is making for next year this year our overall theme was to make everything lighter without sacrificing. Performance without compromise got our new prime x bonding for next year we took our existing prime x, and we made it much lighter weight and basically we did. Everything we could to it to improve the binding without giving up any of the performance or ease of use advantages that we've built up over the years so on. This new prime x we've got aluminum hardware on the sides here that's a way. To save shave weight bryce went through with tyler, and they just thought of every creative innovative way they could go to save weight and make the bindings better aluminum hardware you can see. That here on the bottom as well. Hollow pins on the toe attachment the. Toe catch as well as the pins inside the. Heel stay all hollowed-out cord out just. As light as possible we got this overall binding weight down to 585 grams that. I'm holding in my hand right now it's really light but also very. Responsive something that's really important to us is a full length sidewall that gives you a lot more support both when you're riding and when you're touring and the prime x takes. That one step further with asymmetric full sidewalls so you still get the full. Support from toe to heel but on the inside you get a little bit more range of motion so you can drive into your turns while you're in ride mode really feel kind of more of a surfing kind of feel while you're riding but you get the high side wall on the outside of your foot which is great support for tour in so you've got a high side wall on the right you've got flex locks supporting you from the inside and altogether you've got a really well tour in binding that's extremely lightweight we. Replaced the sleeves of our individually. Sleeved tour axles with aluminum on the. Part that doesn't need wear protection, and then we have stainless steel on the critical components here so still really long-lasting still very efficient and smooth so a new door line this year is. The prime nomad the prime nomad is. Replacing the prime sl this is a kind of flagship binding kind of our bar setting binding for alpine back country performance it's all. The features that an advanced alpine split boarder is going to need so you have a really successful long tour in the back country at a more competitive. Price point this is kind of you can. Think of the prime nomad as the prime x and the prime connect had a baby it's got easy adjustment on the side this is a very responsive binding with a. Stiff less co2 heel but you have some good range of motion and kind of more. Spring-loaded feel going tail to nose so. You have good range of motion for riding it feels really intuitive and comfortable but very responsive when you're going edge to edge you really want to drive into a turn as well. New on this binding the reactive air the. Reactive high-back another way to save weight so between the reactive high-back the new x chassis and the air pod strap. This binding is about 60 grams lighter than the prime sl well-being stiffer and offering more response with a stiffer. High back and new straps so again it's. Lighter weight and also more responsive for the same price point as a prime. Myself.

Touring bracket right here it'll have updated hardware all throughout the. Lighter weight stronger and just really bad ass the last season i get to test out. The next season's proprietary nylon. Toe rings so here you go you have more range of motion articulation if i. Wouldn't be shredding some mellow pow laps I'll put it on one right there and. If I'm a do steeper terrain i would put it on the more aggressive lean forward so unlike the spark you can't. Really adjust it on the fly you need to know a both wrench to it to adjust it but you can really dial in what your stance is as far as angle so that you can have three options which is really cool as opposed to two four options this is usually better pretty much an awesome. Strap system we can talk about unique very lightweight minimalist no buckle to break which is awesome because buckles always break i was recommended carry an extra strap mister buckle for any gear you carry. With you and so how this works meeting. Is also the baseplate is a meld our. Ears cut out so it's they save weight by. Doing that unlike a spark but does have. A lot more pieces going on so it is a little bit heavier than the spark it's still extremely lightweight comparatively it's last when they offer but it has more metal going on also more. Metal on the sides here it's a more contact with your boot which i feel when I'm riding may or may not it's all my. Perception feel like more contact and more control again that's my perception you may differ how it works you see the. Interface here is different than this one so as opposed to is sliding on as a. Sparks others do it actually has an active joining technology mean it comes down lots of place. it's very tight so you have multiple. Points of contact as opposed to sliding in and clamping down like that does which work really good tell these lucent they do this contact it creates. An amazing feel and feedback from the board, and he saw how it tied it was like a had very minimal play i might want to adjust that for next tour tomorrow just. So i can have a little bit of place should i get a little bit of snow or ice in there so I'm thinking mine the spark are pretty much self-cleaning and also of note that bass player i showed you this is from last year so if you order these bindings this year you'll have a better more refined baseplate they'll do a better job of clearing snow and ice out so except to look forward to when. They come out I'll have the next week I'll update this review accordingly how. You disengage it this is very thoughtful rubber doodad right here previously i was just to take a bunch of. Guerrilla tape or duct tape and put back here so i can unhinge it but that works. Really well you saw these it was. All right so there it is that's how that. A lot more going on this binding I'm moving pieces and stuff to it you get a little bit of flex which is kind of nice. When you're really carving and how it differs to in a two-hour mode if you have sleeved axles right here you can. Actually do this part to maintain envelope of lubrication there's some oil and so as opposed to creating friction. And hinge enough of these bushings to spark this it actually locks into place. And then you tore on these sleeve axles. Which i think is pretty cool not that i haven't it well I've broken both of Karakorum a spark couple of years everybody has that just happens in a back country what I've had sometimes happen as bushings would fall out in previous generations they address that for this year, so we have me again and so i guess an earthing has an. Opportunity a fact yesterday just brother pierce snowshoes test it just happens right so prepared in the back country always carry extra buckles extra strap a couple extra bolts I've. Actually lost bolts on the tour and tighten your stuff down the night before or the morning before you tore it's just it's something you should do like you check your battery's new beacon you should check your gear make sure it's all tightened you heard how tight I'd had those things that's really tight i might want to dial off a little bit but just check your gear double-check before you go out make sure you got backup it was a military is saying it we're gonna cinavia seals one is none and two is one thing about them. So that was a long-winded tangent but. It's a very important one so to summarize the Karakorum carbon ex. Split floor binding is the bee's knees. From kara form it is super awesome the. Spark pro surge is the bee's knees from. Spark it is super awesome and you can see them side by side and on pictures below side by side as well a little bit different as far as like a little more metal contact on the spark which adds to its weight baseplate simpler more. Complex different kind of mechanism to. Walk them to the board whereas this one slides into place and then ramps down. Similar kind of high backs and that their carbon fiber carbon infused and both adjustable for terrain and for. Writing both straps are extremely comfortable pliable resilient and provide amazing contact and boot. Connection the toe strap on the spark is. Probably my favorite it just works but again there's a buckle might break my future who knows this thing is this basically well a strap and so lester break a little bit lighter. Weight so as you're probably gathering I'm not gonna tell you which one they get but hope that you're making up your opinion as you're watching this review what is more important to you a little. But lighter by like 40 or 50 grams for. Size largest I'm 11 and a half food i. Fit nice very well so if you are 11 or. 12 definite too large let's have great buckles both are hand. I'm gonna show you in the face and snow. Conditions not having terrible. Clips if i need to first I'm gonna do is. Engage my board clips i have a little cord palette on here make it easy for me. To use my gloves in cold weather I'll. Put on my tail clip. My front board clip my front tip clip. Now as you can see i have some snow buildup on my ride mode attachment what I'm. Gonna do take my binding i can use my. High back sticky wet snow when it gets. Really cold and things are frozen to the board you're gonna rely on the high back floor what you'll find is that it's a great tool for cleaning this area between your. Tabs same thing swipe off mic so. Attachment just get all general snow. Clear check the bottom of my binding. Good rotate the binding down and settle it into the ride mode engaging my lever and. My lock block and i change my ride. Stride from tour mode to ride mode go. Take lining in shret so I'm gonna change. Over from ride mode back to tour mode first thing i do is disengage my lock. Block open my lever set my binding in. The snow upside down get board clint. Nose clip just engage my back finding. Okay to do the changeover to tour mode. I'm gonna use my tour mode axle okay. Open my lever I'm resting the axle into. The cradle making sure it's straight i rotate the body down I'm gonna lastly. I'm going to show you the step in feature from ride much a tour mode now. That i have my skins on my pulls out to. Set my to a mode axle straight into the. Cradle take my tour mode axle push the. Cam over good to go. going to gauge my short climbing wire be. Ahead of my ski fall tall wire need to. Make sure that it's in the riser position and not in the heel lock down position. Oh.

I love this binding these that says January this year so now mace I've got four solid months of using it and that's strong opinions about these so this is. The lightest fighting they offer has 600. Grams besides large is a purple graphite. Highlander with the custom graphics know how the links are below awesome guy so. Carbon graphite very responsive very lightweight very stiff aggressive high. Back of course that high back easy to. Adjust for tori there we go tour mode. And then a variety this is the current. Eighteen model right here you can purchase it humpin to below next year. When they go production they're gonna have this lanyard right here lagger makes opening the back hole i easier if. You phone carrier korn's before you know you should buy duck paper grill table these i didn't or lanyard around here to facilitate open it in the cold now it. Took that knowledge and made this nice durable attachment and also when you're. Done use is locked into place very handy. So this is a sturdy strong responsive. Binding i love this baby it's made of a 75 aluminum so it's. Lightweight and strong the active joint. Technology is i think really helpful when you're writing it sucks the board together so care club has there. Own proprietary base plates this is not a plug system so you'll need to make sure you have base plate but it comes in. Their favor because of relays and boards together and you'll notice it right away when you're writing this tip your binding has a really comfortable pliable. Strap here i love this one then this toe. Strap it's a love-hate relationship took. Me a minute to get used to it but now I'm used to it makes more sense essentially you said it once that's it just put your toe in first loop it over and you're done you can get. Proficient at it gets pretty quick pretty awesome so again this is a. The Lightest binding 690 grams for a size large very responsive very strong. For the board field frank satori — these sleeve axles are lubricated and. So it is very smooth not a lot of. Friction going on because we're lubricated you can always go back and lubricated more although I've never had done that you can't do that it's a very. Well thought out buying to even the sides there's more sight going down so. Give me more support on your boot so. Really good edge hold when you're. Turning and stuff and also in your tor ii it's a very solid finding they're currently available so I'll have links below lonna gimmick comm for best prices and where to purchase them and then next year should you purchase these you'll get that updated lanyard and also a. Really cool update i should mention earlier that is currently available and will definitely be available to next season is the hill risers this was i would say the Achilles. Heel for Karakorum their hill risers were great on paper and function until they broke, and then they solve that so. Now here's your high there's your low boom very reliable very. Strong and of course you do have a heel lock down right there although i don't use that feature very often it is there and then their hardware is improved -. Would get if you purchased the Karakorum prime x and then this is the high-back. You would get to get the custom and i think it's really beautiful not only if you get a really awesome performance binding but it looks really. Hey buddy shawn sue cameron calm we have. Got a really cool comparison for you at the Karakorum prime split board bindings and the spark rd arc squid ward bindings. These are a spark rd arc they teamed up. With burton for the straps and buckles, so they're nice and buttery smooth easy. Breezy now these guys are based in. Montana they do a great job the high-back is really cool so when you're. Touring you can disengage this right here and get a little more articulation so get that touring benefit and then. When you want to get after it you just put it in place and there you go and it's cool to this tooless to design how. Much forward lean you want or don't want so that's pretty cool. What else is cool you can buy this for. Like 40 bucks and that will engage and lock down the heel so there it is locked. In place disengaged now the risers are cool. They're built into the base plate here so you pop it out there's your short riser and rest until. A little nodule right there then you pop. It out one more time so it's the same way pop it out one more time and now you're in a high so reston's a nodule. There nicely too so pretty easy. So that's engaged disengage it you're. Touring nice and smooth and again you. Can adjust there's a few different ways but you'll need a four or five. I have any issue last season's razor i broke it going forward somehow russell. Maroon Karakorum is awesome they replace her for free so next year but. Let me get to go buy these the issue won't be present and of course they have their own unique interface system that we'll get into in part 2 of the review when it's more relevant so there we go we have the proper the airport prime. Binding right here and we have a spark. Already come with the hardware the spark you'll need either you use your plastic putz from ballet or you can buy these spark plugs which are awesome and again. Whether you have the spark plugs other companies pucks bolle pucks whatever even make canted pucks now to the. Binding itself slides on with that. Channel system and then yeah latch it. Down with that guy so let's see if i can get it back on this weird angle and then. There and of course it creates a nice. Strong secure connection as well so the. Spark are indeed bindings come with the bindings that you see here, and they come. With the tour bracket here and the tie. Rakhie here you'll need to purchase this. Separately you'll need to purchase your own pucks separately and if you want to. You can purchase as padding although i don't think you really need it you. Purchase the Karakorum the cost little more money but you get the binding you. Get the puck system valley puck you get the mounting system you get the touring. All right hi I'm kyle from Karakorum and. This is the lightest snowboard binding. And the lightest flipper bunny in the world this is our new prime x carbon. Totally new for 1718 it works on our. Prime system the prime carbon with the. Problem carbon ex with the inside gravity kit weighs in at 590 grams. That's quite a bit lighter than anything. Else on the market it's a let's see. About 100 in about 100 grams lighter. Than you think we've made before the way. We were able to get that much weight out of the binding while still keeping all the performance that Karakorum has to have is we upgraded pretty much all the. Materials on the heel stay and today are now made out of a 7000 series aluminum. It's a really strong dense. Aluminum that we're able to take a lot of weight out by a removing material so. It's so strong that the shows that you can see there's almost nothing here same thing with the heel stay bryce did some. Really cool things with the design when he was producing this line in um we. Learned a lot with the connect bindings that we made last year that were released and one of the things kind of key design elements that we were able to do with that is we've put all the mounting points on the bottom as a post on the side you see here's last year's sl I'll mount hardware comes in on. The side now we put an extra bend on the heel cup all the hardware is on the bottom it's out of the way it looks very sleek and that also adds a lot of strength along the toe heel axis so when. You're making the toe side heel side turn the bindings very stiff and strong another cool aspect of the x. Chassis is it has kind of damping. Element built in if you look at it along this plane you can see that there's somewhat of an arch here it's kind of similar to the damping system we have on our connect bindings and you can just feel of it there's enough damp damping this year to absorb you know kind of the day-to-day chatter you'll experience when you're on this is the x chassis with our carbon high back so that's the prime x carbon our carbon high back we. One more thing that's kind of cool about this money and all the contact points are plastic and that's the prime x carbon prime x has our new reactive high. Back it's an extremely durable strong plastic makes for a stiffer high back. Then what we had on our sls then out this is our airflow high back this is kind of mid stiffness video a little on the soft side high back now this is a little bit stiffer it's a kind of just a little bit less stiff than our carbon high back but still very stiff going toe to heel so stiffer lighter reactive high back. All of our bindings for next year are. Going to have our new dual ride stride. Forward lean adjustment, so we've been known in the past for having our ride and stride mode adjustment so when. You're riding you have nice forward lean when you tour you get a little extra room on your stride right now we added. An extra this is the second ride mode, so we have ride stride this. Second ride mode is kind of easier setting so this is either going to be set at a eleven degrees or zero degrees and then you can set the regular setting anywhere from zero to twenty-two degrees whatever you prefer it's for me as a snowboarder. The perfect forward lean adjustment we could have gone with just a traditional tool-less forward lean but. This is just with the two settings it's by far the easiest to go between your. Rowdy and aggressive you know baked slalom like really in turns aggressive forward lean setting and your more mellow just kind of cruising around the hill not burning your ankles out setting you can adjust this while your foot strapped into the bindings so just lean forward and flip it to the other set in and now you've changed your forward lean and you're good to go. Okay! Yeah, we'll start at kind of the top of out of our line so this is the Prime X Carbon. This is for the customer looking for the apex and backcountry technology. No sacrifices, no compromises. Just the best technology can buy. They want kind of the futurist foot boarding right now, really. Stiff carbon high back all the weight savings of the Prime X. No compromises, just stiff charge. All over everything the best thing you can get Prime X. A very similar customer.

It's really up to the customer what they want in feel that same customer that wants maybe just a slightly less aggressive high back is going to go for the Prime X. I mean really happy. This is like kind of I put the stiffness of this high back at probably a seven and a half hour eight on the stiffness scale. The stiffness of this high back but the Prime X Carbon is a 10 out of 10 so very similar customers with the X and X Carbon moving into the Prime Nomad.

This is for us kind of bar study in backcountry bonding. I would just say the backcountry pier is someone that's doing a lot of time in the backcountry is going to be really happy with the Prime Nomad and as morning grows a lot of snowboarders. We're here at yes bow, and we're here to talk about all the improvements Karakorum is making for next year this year our overall theme was to make everything lighter without sacrificing. Performance without compromise got our new prime x bonding for next year we took our existing prime x, and we made it much lighter weight and basically we did. Everything we could to it to improve the binding without giving up any of the performance or ease of use advantages that we've built up over the years so on. This new prime x we've got aluminum hardware on the sides here that's a way. To save shave weight bryce went through with tyler, and they just thought of every creative innovative way they could go to save weight and make the bindings better aluminum hardware you can see. That one step further with asymmetric full sidewalls so you still get the full. Support from toe to heel but on the inside you get a little bit more range of motion so you can drive into your turns while you're in ride mode really feel kind of more of a surfing kind of feel while you're riding but you get the high side wall on the outside of your foot which is great support for tour in so you've got a high side wall on the right you've got flex locks supporting you from the inside and altogether you've got a really well tour in binding that's extremely lightweight we. Replaced the sleeves of our individually. Sleeved tour axles with aluminum on the. Part that doesn't need wear protection, and then we have stainless steel on the critical components here so still really long-lasting still very efficient and smooth so a new door line this year is. The prime nomad the prime nomad is. Replacing the prime sl this is a kind of flagship binding kind of our bar setting binding for alpine back country performance it's all. The features that an advanced alpine split boarder is going to need so you have a really successful long tour in the back country at a more competitive. Price point this is kind of you can. Think of the prime nomad as the prime x and the prime connect had a baby it's got easy adjustment on the side this is a very responsive binding with a. Stiff less co2 heel but you have some good range of motion and kind of more. Spring-loaded feel going tail to nose so. Which i think is pretty cool not that i haven't it well I've broken both of Karakorum a spark couple of years everybody has that just happens in a back country what I've had sometimes happen as bushings would fall out in previous generations they address that for this year, so we have me again and so i guess an earthing has an. Opportunity a fact yesterday just brother pierce snowshoes test it just happens right so prepared in the back country always carry extra buckles extra strap a couple extra bolts I've. Actually lost bolts on the tour and tighten your stuff down the night before or the morning before you tore it's just it's something you should do like you check your battery's new beacon you should check your gear make sure it's all tightened you heard how tight I'd had those things that's really tight i might want to dial off a little bit but just check your gear double-check before you go out make sure you got backup it was a military is saying it we're gonna cinavia seals one is none and two is one thing about them. So that was a long-winded tangent but. It's a very important one so to summarize the Karakorum carbon ex. Split floor binding is the bee's knees. From kara form it is super awesome the. Writing both straps are extremely comfortable pliable resilient and provide amazing contact and boot. Connection the toe strap on the spark is. Probably my favorite it just works but again there's a buckle might break my future who knows this thing is this basically well a strap and so lester break a little bit lighter. I love this binding these that says January this year so now mace I've got four solid months of using it and that's strong opinions about these so this is. The lightest fighting they offer has 600. Grams besides large is a purple graphite. Highlander with the custom graphics know how the links are below awesome guy so. Carbon graphite very responsive very lightweight very stiff aggressive high. Back of course that high back easy to. Adjust for tori there we go tour mode. And then a variety this is the current. Eighteen model right here you can purchase it humpin to below next year. When they go production they're gonna have this lanyard right here lagger makes opening the back hole i easier if. You phone carrier korn's before you know you should buy duck paper grill table these i didn't or lanyard around here to facilitate open it in the cold now it. Took that knowledge and made this nice durable attachment and also when you're. Done use is locked into place very handy. So this is a sturdy strong responsive. These are a spark rd arc they teamed up. With burton for the straps and buckles, so they're nice and buttery smooth easy. Breezy now these guys are based in. Montana they do a great job the high-back is really cool so when you're. Touring you can disengage this right here and get a little more articulation so get that touring benefit and then. When you want to get after it you just put it in place and there you go and it's cool to this tooless to design how. Much forward lean you want or don't want so that's pretty cool. What else is cool you can buy this for. Like 40 bucks and that will engage and lock down the heel so there it is locked. In place disengaged now the risers are cool. They're built into the base plate here so you pop it out there's your short riser and rest until. A little nodule right there then you pop. It out one more time so it's the same way pop it out one more time and now you're in a high so reston's a nodule. There nicely too so pretty easy. So that's engaged disengage it you're. Touring nice and smooth and again you. Can adjust there's a few different ways but you'll need a four or five. I have any issue last season's razor i broke it going forward somehow russell. All right hi I'm kyle from Karakorum and. This is the lightest snowboard binding. And the lightest flipper bunny in the world this is our new prime x carbon. Totally new for 1718 it works on our. Prime system the prime carbon with the. Problem carbon ex with the inside gravity kit weighs in at 590 grams. That's quite a bit lighter than anything. Else on the market it's a let's see. About 100 in about 100 grams lighter. Than you think we've made before the way. We were able to get that much weight out of the binding while still keeping all the performance that Karakorum has to have is we upgraded pretty much all the. Materials on the heel stay and today are now made out of a 7000 series aluminum. It's a really strong dense. Aluminum that we're able to take a lot of weight out by a removing material so. It's so strong that the shows that you can see there's almost nothing here same thing with the heel stay bryce did some. Really cool things with the design when he was producing this line in um we. Learned a lot with the connect bindings that we made last year that were released and one of the things kind of key design elements that we were able to do with that is we've put all the mounting points on the bottom as a post on the side you see here's last year's sl I'll mount hardware comes in on. The side now we put an extra bend on the heel cup all the hardware is on the bottom it's out of the way it looks very sleek and that also adds a lot of strength along the toe heel axis so when. Second ride mode is kind of easier setting so this is either going to be set at a eleven degrees or zero degrees and then you can set the regular setting anywhere from zero to twenty-two degrees whatever you prefer it's for me as a snowboarder. The perfect forward lean adjustment we could have gone with just a traditional tool-less forward lean but. This is just with the two settings it's by far the easiest to go between your. Rowdy and aggressive you know baked slalom like really in turns aggressive forward lean setting and your more mellow just kind of cruising around the hill not burning your ankles out setting you can adjust this while your foot strapped into the bindings so just lean forward and flip it to the other set in and now you've changed your forward lean and you're good to go. I have a shallower sidecut than the rest of the boards in the line so it's going to make big wide arcing parents.

This one here is our Euphoria and this is a powder surfer and a powder specific shape. As you can see, it's got a super wide nose, a cool little fishtail that helps your back leg thank you, and it's 27 centimeters wide so lots of surface area for slope motion. And then over here we've got our women's offerings on the Oracle and a Tempest. And these are the women's versions of the Paragon and Storm that we talked about over there more of an all-mountain shape for just riding in bounds with the resort. A variety of conditions and then a pretty rad shape for ladies that want to take it into bigger terrain. So, that's the Venture Lineup.

And then we're just going to slide these. Two halves apart now you're in ski mode so you're going to swap it like this so. That you have your side cut on the inside edge for better control and then. You'll take the binding and it's going. To attach right here using that same pin. On this pivot point and then you're. Essentially going to be able to use it like a tele binding while you're skiing. So that's the basics of how that works it's really a very efficient way to. Switch between modes and it's way more. (Efficient) than snowshoes in the back country for the latest snowboard.
