Hi Dave Jennifer clamp protocol we're here at Pro day in Minneapolis at their headquarters. We got over 275 pro staffers from across the ice Belt gonna be here checking out the new products. One of my favorite new products here is the conversion kit. What this allows me to do is take my drill. Idrill holes in my sheetrock head home. And hook it up to a nice drill. And drill holes through the ice. You know some of the new features. This year is we have a hexagon shaft. That cuts right into. This Chuck, so we don't have to remove the Chuck to make. It usable in the wintertime. We also added some adjustments here so. It handles more different kinds of drills. Any of the drills you get will fit on here it's important. It has a big battery. You know this is a 4 amp battery here you'll really need to make sure. You get a good sized battery to make. This work but you simply got. These nice handles squeeze the trigger. This thing works I'd never cut a hole through the ice slab to attending but my electric auger.
You know try to make sure. It seemed easier so you'll have.
StrikeMaster® Lazer™ Hand Auger
Available: 4", 5", 6", 7", 8".
Orderlies are a hand auger from Amazon use. It we're gonna see all well. It works some of our economy ice fishermen. That don't want to buy a gas-powered auger it's kind of nice a real light tool beats lugging around a 40 pound propane. One yeah they're under $100 yeah that's right. Some on Amazon we paid eighty-seven dollars for this is a six-inch auger. We got the six inch. It comes in four five six seven eight inch augers sizes the six inch. You can get a big northern through. We can get about a 10-pound truck through no problem so. We do a lot of trout fishing here in Sheboygan cinch is playing so. And then it's easier to drill through to the bigger auger. You get a little more resistance. You get, so we're gonna try the six-inch looks like. We got an adjustable crank handle here for a different height. If you're taller or shorter got. Some pin holes in there for your set point here. We go here's oh even came with a nice little protectant oh yes boy. Idon't know I don't look like a stench yep that's a six-inch small. That was that a the original. We were using our first year. Imight have been an eighth then I'll have to measure yeah that's gonna be that'll still work those fish. They compress right dong there. We got a nice little wing. That on here real quick fast assembly with. These things here we'll pull. This bad boy out oh is. This metal could then 20 Bowls for the last four nights here in Wisconsin so. This metal is gold we're gonna put. It on the highest setting yep then. Ihave to those other settings must be for youth maybe go look at.
This easily assembly. That is nice stick it rights in there. One two three and you're drilling pull. This out right on the ice into. One for like 87 dollars 87 not bad under $100 it's better. And spending for four to six hundred dollars yeah you're just getting started. And ice fishing good gotta get. That baby lined up perfectly. Iguess gotta see through. That hole with my bad eyes oh she's taking yeah real quick set up. Iwould say preferably. You want that wingnut straight up. And down so it doesn't catch on. Anything it comes with a nice guard that's nice. You need to have to protect your off place. These blades on here let's look at these blades. All right these are. What they call the laser blades they're pretty sharp boy. It looks like they are interchangeable replaceable yes. They are you need to get on a set screw that's why they call. This happy you had a laser so. Ithink those would be replaceable yes potentially. All right what does the quality kind of look like here overall I'll give her a kind of.
All nice it comes with the cover yes. That is nice song seems. All pretty good quality got a nice little have honor up. Some of those slide up. And down one doesn't move. That can mess with your rhythm sometimes yes. All right we're gonna try up today give. How well she cuts give her a test on the ice yes. It comes with the owners owner's manual here oh yeah there. We go see what we got in there. What I'll probably have. All your replacements probably comes a little warranty oh yeah. That little warranty thing in there it's not much it's like just. One page booklet limited warranty limited. How long that's micro print. Ican't read it yeah looks like for all their products oh okay so check blade screws before. And after each use to make sure. They are tight looks like.
You got two types the laser. And the Mora not sure. What the Mora is but I'll look into. It looks the laser is a little. More expensive so that's definitely the better. One of the two Sol yeah. Iwould probably get the laser for sure but I'll look into. That baby's type eight millimeters I'll turn off of there. We go check this side yeah quarter-turn there. We go she's nice and tight alrighty so. What you have an eight-millimeter yeah so the manual says tighten your blades check blade screws before. And after each use to make sure. They are tight It looks like we got about a good nine ten inches ice here for sure. You can see that thing just ripped through their out of. That feel everything pretty good okay nice and smooth okay. We got the six-inch auger out here but.
We realized we maybe should the six into work. We should have got a seven-inch oh yeah we'll bring some fish today well sure but the six inch for fishing here in Sheboygan for your trout Northern Neck six inch will work that's as small as. You want to go but yeah. We should have got the seven that's quick nice six inch holes yes just fine yes those are. Some nice sharp blades man the laser yes let's cut nice and. These handles nice and on their nice not a lot of effort to use. It over have it just under a hundred bucks yep that's a good price economy ice-fishing. That seemed like it works pretty good for. Us great yeah more inexpensive way to start ice fishing yeah well we're gonna check. This is uh she's cutting through a foot of ice no problem work out to. You get down to that bottom a lot smoother transition that's the ticket waiter not twice makes. It a lot smoother breakthrough transition okay. We just cut through four holes like. Nothing and that's a foot out here we'll do.
Quicker Oh Shannon's out of juice 1 2 3 4. This is our fifth hole oh yeah 6 full there. We go whoo 6 holes in about 6 holes no problem real quick makes. This baby's punch nice. On a smooth-running not jerky. You feel that clean out. That while you'll get to the bottom the water's coming up its gonna bind up no matter. What really nice the StairMaster six inches on. This auger yes I'm very impressed with. Iwould recommend for Sheboygan fishing area here the rivers. And the marina I would use the seven RT 8 but the six works just fine tool just a little small especially on cold days like today on its 23 bowl you're gonna lose an inch yeah so inland then. You could use would be perfect for the inland you'll bring up oh yeah you'll bring a forty 40 inch. Or the thing is we got trout here. They get big they could get big. Most of them are gonna be five ten pound rates.
You know ninety percent of them so yeah they've inland the six inch. And then the bare minimum out here for Sheboygan. Or the Great Lakes these big trawler inches the seven are the eight. You know the bigger the auger a little. More friction you're gonna have. Ithink we're gonna order up. Another auger but these laser the StairMaster laser auger is awesome it's look at. That cut through there so. Ithink we're gonna yeah we're gonna bump her up to eight inches. Once that's the biggest. You can get they got our light to be carrying around at 40 Paul gas lager. All righty we're gonna move. Some beats are on and hopefully. We get a fish little 6-inch hole okay 25 below zero out here we're on the Sheboygan marina it's December 31st New Year's Eve happy new years fans. Is a little truck down here we're not Tucker a model little bit. It is brutal out here today at. It sure is it cold oh yes we're on an arctic blast here for the last week oh yeah there.
He goes he's got some energy. He don't like the look at. Us whole hey come on there. He is oh boy Louise a nice little guy yeah it's hard to see our hole got really small yeah it's right at sunset yeah a nice moon behind. You yeah that before. And it's almost a full moon here. We go ya know that northern pike bit through the line yeah Oh your video oh yeah well. That happens hey we do a lot of fish in. And not catch we do know there's an earth-sized bra just got oh there's an artificial doll. That in here it's not a small hole got a Tucker long yeah. All right we're hoping for at least. One third a 6-inch hole of andrel yeah. We went a little too small. We should've went with the seven. Or the 8-inch seven would have been the minimum, but we're gonna tuck her mouth got. Some spunk — oh man. And Bill you caught a 30-inch northern today right yeah in two hours not bad good catch.
And release we had a northern pike on hit snapped the line bit right through the line earlier huh. Another 20 30 yards. They yell with our chick hey Tyrone there. We go headfirst Josh yeah. Iwant to be gentle with him get them through. All oh yeah don't force them to tuck her mouth don't get him tired yeah. We do our six hole here today. It froze up as you can see down to about a four-inch hole. When it's 25 below zero. You only get about three hours on a hole that's your max he's gonna come headfirst. This time yeah it's a nice problem look. You gotta get their head through. That hole we're gonna get. This eight inch hand drill for out here six inches is the bare minimum that's better for the inland. If you're gonna fish for northern pike. And your pan fish but out here in Sheboygan for our trout a seven eight pounder oh yeah definitely about five. And a half six bro yeah yes what's up. What a beauty Emily of. He buried ad hook real good that's. What we need okay the cameras in the red we're dying here.
That was with our little 6-inch hole that's at least a five pound trawl. We do have a scale we can measure. If I'm telling you that's over five that's over five pound truck yeah beautiful brown chalk Happy New Year's Eve guys good again oh yes your boy in Wisconsin excellent.
