Hey y'all look here. Today I'm going to do a review on the vortex diamondback ten by 42 binocular i. Bought these off midway usa for about. Two hundred and twenty dollars this is my second vortex purchase a little bit. Pricey for me but definitely worth it. Can't go wrong with these things compared to other products for this price so when you unpack first thing i. Seen was this nice hard case it's hard but it's kind of like a foaming kind of spongy at the same time very durable as. Far as impact i think it would take a lot of punishment good room in here. Nice little strap also is gonna come. Instruction but i probably threw them in the garbage cleaning cloth and it kind. Of sounds funny to library on but this. Strap here it's great usually when you. Buy a product like this you're going to get just a flimsy uncomfortable strive. For text and a good job sending you a good we're sending the consumer the. Buyer a nice product therefore the strap. Actually went a little different route. Though about this for $20 off the midway. Goes over your shoulders it's just elastic makes a little easier to hit. With a little quieter keeps it out of. The way okay I'm gonna go over and the. Binoculars here kind of talk about them kind of give you some different angles while I'm talking about them good covers. I really like both set both sides. Of the covers here these are made to. Move and adjust to whatever adjustment. That you've got the binoculars on also on this side i usually take. These off to hunt with but as far as you. Lot of punishment in my opinion they've. Got nice little grips here for the thumbs and the clarity is amazing all. These binoculars i was honestly blown away i went from a little cheap pair and. Icons to these i couldn't believe what I've been missing out on probably the last six seven years but y'all zooming. In one hornet's nest probably 150 to 200. Yards away another thing worth. Mentioning is the low light performance i mean it's pretty amazing what you can. Pick up in such low light with these binoculars the field of view is great. And you know you can acquire your target. Very fast with these binoculars they're very sleek and you know a real. Good size I'm probably about 6 1 240. Pounds so these feel great for me. We've got probably medium-sized hands not real big but the warranty was. Something else I'd like to mention with the ho for tex company i believe they call it the vip warranty it is a. Lifetime warranty and from what I've. Been told and from other experiences. There're no issues whatsoever with having. To get some work done on your gore-tex. Product I'm in the Tennessee mountains i. Don't believe that you need anything more than this set of binocular. Unless you were going out west and taking you know if you were really you. Is the amount of light that they pass through when it comes to environments with load with low light the thirty-two. Millimeter lens does not allow lots of light to pass through but it's still more than the eight by twenty-eight model the db 200 the device in front of. You is the new model of the diamondback. Db 203 it's a very compact size. Binoculars they are like 114 millimeters. In length with the end away like 440. Grams they are green with a. Rubberized body their field of. So start it comes in an awesome case wow. I wasn't expecting that an awesome. Hardcase check that out on I've never. Ever bought a pair of binoculars that have an awesome case like this so that's. A big bonus for me it's actually really. Compacted and realize my old binoculars. Are pretty big and bulky with the same. Specs as well so. Got some lens cleaners here. Like here we have our neck strap you. Now and what's great about this company guys is that a local company great. Company and their warranty is lifetime guarantee so whatever you do to this thing drop it in the stream or something like that something cracks inside or if it gets water damaged just send it back in they'll send you a new one to replace it so but here's the diamondback series. Right here first time first impressions holding it feels good in the hands we've. Got some great eye covers help protect. Your lenses that's nice. Zoom is very easy focus is very easy and. That is really clear wow as your adjustments for glasses or your. Eyes which is awesome as well wow it's. Ready to go right off the bat here guys so i have to do is really connect your neck strap and you're ready to run so i got a separate strap that i put on my body here we're gonna put that back strap on here into the vinyls, and then we're going to take it on out into the woods but first impressions guys this is a fantastic piece of equipment very. Alright kiddies today's product review. Is about my vortex diamondback ten by. Forty two binoculars when i was getting. Ready to go on my trip i was doing a few. You know trying to find the things that i would really need to take with me on this trip and you know stuff that was gonna be really important for hunting you know planning to hunt and scouting. And doing all of that kind of stuff that goes along with actually going out and putting some meat in your freezer one of. The things that i got talked into was buying these binoculars and i got to. Tell you I'm very very pleased that i got talked into buying these my friend. Joe over sportsman's warehouse there in Robert park he showed me a couple of different ones he showed me the diamondbacks, and he. Also showed me the vipers they didn't. Tell me which ones he was handing me he just had me go through the procedure of. You know getting them balanced on the eyepieces and then about six different. Targets to look at and focus in on and. You know he'd hand me a set of binoculars I'd go through the process and look at these several targets that he told me to point out and it's just super amazed at the quality on. Both of these glasses but when i got. Gone looking through the second pair i handed him back to him and i said you. No i can't tell the difference between the two, and he said that's why you're gonna buy the diamondback as ted of the viper because about $200 more for the vipers you're not really able to see the. Difference you know maybe some of you're gonna disagree but this is my review of this product and i can tell you i looked. Again and i couldn't tell the difference between the two the diamondbacks just really very nice. Binoculars they've got some nice weight. To them they're not too heavy not terribly familiar with a lot of the modern optics that are out there but i know I'm very pleased with the weight of. These they're they're not straining on my neck i don't have a i don't have a chest. Carry case i have the carry case that came with him which i don't have to be able to show you today I'll put a picture at the end of the review about that I've got that carry case at home. But you know let's just go over a few of. The features you know first off obviously you have the ability to. Balance the focus on them you know for. Those of you that are not familiar you close your right eye at least with these. At most of most classes that I've seen the focus for the one eye is always on. The right eye so you close your right eye you get them focused so that your. Left eye is seeing super clear I'm. Gonna turn that in just in case that sunshine in their then you close your left eye and you turn this ring on the. Right eye to get it equally focused now that balances because we don't our eyes. Aren't the same on both sides so that's that's a great feature a lot of binoculars have got that most you know decent quality and better have got that really pleased with how easy it was to. Adjust these one of the things i noticed on the diamondbacks is that that right. Eye focus ring is fairly firm which means it's not going to bounce out of position when you're hiking around and. You know scout and crawl into the brush and stuff now the focus ring the focus. Mechanism on these super easy to turn. Super firm the smallest little. Adjustment just gives you a fantastic. Focus you know i can focus out to. You know a thousand yards i can see fairly decent with them obviously you. Now with these at a thousand yards you're not going to have the same quality that you would have with a spotting scope but that's why you have a spotting scope (separate) than these the. Dust caps that come with this you can see on the output side these dust caps fold. Down they've got their own little elastic band on there so it keeps them. On there you can drop them down out of the way and you know they're they're. Pretty secure and then the eyepiece you've got this dual dust cap that. Goes on there one side is notched so you. Can get that off of their pretty easy and the other side is closed loop so it stays on your neck fan I've used these. In a number of different situations today I'm up scouting for hunt and. Coyote we're up here in the high desert of nevada up above the town of pah rump. And you know I'm easily and. Clearly seeing 600 plus yards away today. Definitely take a look at the vortex. Hey what's up guys today i got a review on some binoculars these are the cabala's compact 12 by 25 intensity hd. Binoculars stick around and we'll see a. Little further so i want to propel is the other day for the intent of looking for binoculars that are small still have plenty of zoom, and they also have a good. Very small you could fit that inside. Your pocket one thing that came with is. This carry case here very nice very nicely padded it's pretty. Durable it seems like I'd definitely be putting those in there it also came with cover caps and i already took those off. They fit really snug but i just for what. I use it for i don't really need them all right i don't like them i should say so the next thing I'll show you here is the focus knob it's a very low-profile. It's its great for when you don't have gloves on but when you do it's a little hard to find because it's so low profile, and then they also have the focus right here that's very low-profile as well i do like this fact that way you're not. Gonna be able to bump it that much or as much as what you would with bigger ones but um if like i said if you're wearing. Gloves or something like yeah it's a little hard to find just because it's its flush with this bottom part here the brace in the middle next thing i want to talk about is the eye relief turrets i think they call these eye cups so right here I'll go ahead and take them out they don't come out too much but it's perfect for looking through the lens they're real sturdy right now. They are anyways they're not broken in or anything like that, and they work out really well so one. Think i don't like about these binoculars is these straps they're very. Flimsy it seems like really cheesy I'm. Not a big fan its kind of it was kind of hard to get them to feed through right here these little eyelets and then also the clips on here really cheesy. I mean they're they're pretty thin plastic it seems like and if you pull on it enough it will slide down i actually did have one fall out while i was hunting and i had to wait till i got back to put it back together because it's that hard to feed it through here especially in the cold so these came in at a price right around one hundred and eighty dollars before tax probably a little overpriced. For what they are it's their only twelve by twenty-five s like i said but um they're hd i mean it shows a really good picture and i actually took a video a couple weeks ago. Of these are of the with the camera. Inside of the lens so you can really you could get a good look and even through. Way guys with everything going on these days don't eat these please don't eat. These here's some kind of buckle will. Maybe a neck strap not 100% sure what that is pull it out one thing that's really cool right off the bat is you get a chest rig with these by nose and you. Don't have to buy an aftermarket one this is the one that i used all of last. Year in alaska and montana love this. Think and this one's really neat because the fury is so compact so is the chest. Harness there they are so this has the. Front piece that's removable so that like all other vortex binoculars this is. Easily tripod compatible nice little by. Nose same build quality as all the other ones that I've used great size in here. Is your spot for your cr2 battery which. Comes included that just screws out with a big screwdriver or a quarter or whatever you want to use drop that one battery in there and shatter it up what else is in the box here we have lens. Covers on the ocular side lens caps for. The objective end so anyway a little bit about the fury again one of the really. Cool things about this binocular is its size I've hunted with some bigger range. Finding binoculars in the past and I've sold them because they're so big and so heavy these things aren't light, but they're definitely not nearly what you'll get in some of the other big range finding binoculars and with that said the price points right on these two i don't think. Really shines for bow hunters too if you've never given any consideration to bow hunting with a range finding binocular it lets you minimize your gear roster you've got your binoculars here at all times there's no fumbling around switching for your rangefinder to your binocular i used to be one of those tree stand hunters that didn't hunt with binoculars because i figured if it was close enough to shoot with a bow it was close enough to positively identify what it was but once you start hunting with a pair of binoculars out of tree stand you won't go back so as i mentioned maximum yardage for the range finding capability on this thing is 1,600 yards and the. Okay so they've got these little rubber. Eyepiece caps and then the ones on the. The other end are actually built into it. Pretty simple I'm guessing that's a. Battery yeah battery unit because there's your range-finding controls they're pretty. Standard adjustable eyepieces for your. Die out diopters there's an adjustment. There pretty standard those are not and then. We're gonna be able to see this when you. Get up to the work but basically when. You press these buttons here you got a. Measure and a menu button and these have. Been pretty easy all you got to do is hit the button there's a little reticle inside the binocular hit measure and it. Gets you back a measurement the menu. Goes through all the menu options, but they're rubberized pretty light for what. They are the glass is good quality kind. Of hard to show you on a camera here but you gotta take my word for it i guess, but they are i think they retail for. 1500 I've seen em on amazon for about 1200 pretty good so far. They're way 31.8 ounces and at a. A Thousand yards you get three hundred fourteen feet of field of view. So not too bad and they go out to 1600. Yards max so it depends on if that's. Hey what's up guys today i got a review on some binoculars these are the cabala's compact 12 by 25 intensity hd. Binoculars stick around and we'll see a. Little further so i want to propel is the other day for the intent of looking for binoculars that are small still have plenty of zoom, and they also have a good. Picture and this is what i found first. We'll go ahead and start here show you guys how small these get it's a cabala's. They call it the hd intensity binoculars. Very small you could fit that inside. Your pocket one thing that came with is. This carry case here very nice very nicely padded it's pretty. Durable it seems like I'd definitely be putting those in there it also came with cover caps and i already took those off. They fit really snug but i just for what. I use it for i don't really need them all right i don't like them i should say so the next thing I'll show you here is the focus knob it's a very low-profile. It's its great for when you don't have gloves on but when you do it's a little hard to find because it's so low profile, and then they also have the focus right here that's very low-profile as well i do like this fact that way you're not. Gonna be able to bump it that much or as much as what you would with bigger ones but um if like i said if you're wearing. Gloves or something like yeah it's a little hard to find just because it's its flush with this bottom part here the brace in the middle next thing i want to talk about is the eye relief turrets i think they call these eye cups so right here I'll go ahead and take them out they don't come out too much but it's perfect for looking through the lens they're real sturdy right now. They are anyways they're not broken in or anything like that, and they work out really well so one. Think i don't like about these binoculars is these straps they're very. Flimsy it seems like really cheesy I'm. Not a big fan its kind of it was kind of hard to get them to feed through right here these little eyelets and then also the clips on here really cheesy. I mean they're they're pretty thin plastic it seems like and if you pull on it enough it will slide down i actually did have one fall out while i was hunting and i had to wait till i got back to put it back together because it's that hard to feed it through here especially in the cold so these came in at a price right around one hundred and eighty dollars before tax probably a little overpriced. For what they are it's their only twelve by twenty-five s like i said but um they're hd i mean it shows a really good picture and i actually took a video a couple weeks ago. Of these are of the with the camera. Inside of the lens so you can really you could get a good look and even through. Hi this has been with red start birding and here to take a look at the vortex raptor binoculars so unlike a lot of the. Binoculars we stock here as would start birding the raptor is going to be a porro prism binocular it doesn't have those straight through barrels it's got this jog in the barrel kind of like an old timey binocular and it really helps get the production cost down on a pair of binoculars like this it's a relatively inexpensive way of making binoculars but another great feature of that is that it allows these ocular lenses to get really close together so for kids who love recommending this binocular because often times we won't be able to squeeze the two barrels of a roof prism rocker close enough for a young face whereas this blocker will fit. The trick where adults out there as well who have an arrow into papillary distance that find the raptor to be a really good binocular it comes in a six. Hi I'm ben with redstart birding and want to show you a little bit about the zeiss terra idi binoculars so typically. You see that zeiss name the german brand. New sinked herself this appears but I'll consider cost thousands of dollars and certainly his ice makes absolute premium. Top-shelf optics we were thrilled when they came out with a terra idi though which was gonna sell for under $400 the. Idi stands for extra low dispersion glass that's one of the things that's gonna set this binocular apart great color contrast really good low-light performance and really worthy of the. Zeiss name some of the features are pretty typical for what you want in a good mid price butt knocker twist up and down eye cups we're gonna make it easy for high glass wearers to use it's got a closed focus well under 10 feet so really versatile for using in all sorts of habitats and conditions and speaking. Of which its waterproof and submersible so if the weather is out raining outside you don't worry about that keeping you from birding with yours i stare at idi binoculars come to the case neck strap lens covers and zeiss is lifetime warranty it's got a 8 42 10 by 42. There's going to be the really popular sizes for bird-watching and if you want something a little bit smaller and lighter way to take a look at the 8 by 32 it's also going to have a little bit wider field of view compared to the other models so that's going to be it. In a full disclosure been never impressed with binoculars had a bunch as a kid they were usually pretty cheap had. Then in boy scouts stuff along those lines and what it came down to for me is. What do i want this like 2 pounds of glass in my backpack for I'd rather bring snacks, and they never did anything. For me and then moving forward into the military in the marine corps here's these like five pounds steiner binoculars which we're probably really. Good like 20 years ago when they first got issued out and by the time they got in my hands I'll beat up scratched you. Can't see anything through them so fast-forward now as i start to get more and. More into hunting one i realize the. Intended application where they really shine and to actually get turned on to. What you're paying for with quality as. More and more I've gotten into using. Binoculars especially a good pair of binoculars I've come to realize its kind of along the lines of a trigger in. You ar you have a standard m4 trigger. And you use that for a long time all of a sudden when you drop in really nice guys lee super similar matic enhanced. Trigger in there you're like wow like this is awesome huge quality difference. Right so binoculars you use crap ones. For a long time and then when you use good ones you're like okay this is where the money's going like this is the quality like that's what I'm looking for conversely you hand someone a pair of binoculars, and they look through them. Haven't looked through any other pairs of binoculars and I'm like oh that's cool how much are these and you're like oh this is the price, and they're like are you serious because again there's no. Frame of reference these ice thierry. D-10 by 42 binoculars are great back. Here you have a nice big adjustment knob for your focus really comes in handy. See if it's colder than you have gloves easy to manipulate and it's really smooth doesn't get stuck anything along those lines the 10 by 42 is in reference. To tin power and then up front a 42. Millimeter objective lens i find these. Tin by 42 s to kind of be the sweet spot a couple different respects one as far. As tin, they also make a eighth power i like the tin that extra magnification glassy and hillsides and in addition to. That kind of size and weight about four. And a half inches by five and a half inches weighs a little over 25 ounces. Not super heavy not super big kind of. That perfect size and depending on how you want to carry them it obviously comes with a strap you can go throw l in. There and let these guys rest or what i like to do i don't usually have the strap on there cuz i find it gets in the way and I'll just keep them right in front of my hill people gear kit bag. Really handy right there or if I'm driving around it's a lot easier too not. Have that strap hanging off of them when you're trying to pick them up from the center console something along those lines some other notable information. With these terry ds is water-resistant not waterproof on their site it lists. Then as water resistant to 100 mil bears. No idea what that means looked it up one. Mil bar is basically in reference to. Thirty three point four feet underwater. These will not go that far. 100 millibars is basically pointed one bar. So what it really comes down to is don't. Submerge them, but they're good for weather events rain snow stuff along. Those lines don't dunk them as far as. Temperature operating range good from five degrees Fahrenheit up to 140 should. Be good for most instances maybe you don't take them down an article but overall pretty robust binoculars one. Think i did find interesting is these binoculars have a twilight factor of twenty point five what does that mean so. Twilight factor is actually kind of the antiquated metric for measuring optics. Binoculars as far as how much detail you. Can see in low-light not necessarily how much. Light gathering capability that actually hinges on the coatings of the lenses but. How much detail under low-light you can see the way they come to that is a. Formula it is the magnification multiplied times the objective diameter. Lens 42 millimeters then you get the. Square root of that which is about twenty point five what does this mean basically you can see pretty good detail. Even under low light that isn't in. Respect to how well these gathered light and i will say though they do a really good job and that's where that's where. You really get to appreciate binoculars any type of optic is kind of that wolf. Light before dawn after sunset like. Everything's kind of really dark lights going you can still see because with good. Optics they do a great job of gathering light these definitely do that and I'm really pleased with them investment you get yourself a good pair of binoculars you're gonna be using them for years and. Depending on how you want to carry them it also comes with a pretty cool kind of semi rigid hard case on the one side there's belt loops you can throw it on your belt slide it through webbing on your pack however you want to have it and zipper closure as well as this little magnetic top and when it opens it doesn't flop all the way up and so these things aren't going to tumble out smash themselves on some rocks pretty handy depending on how you want to carry it as far as the price point usually around four hundred dollars you can get them through amazon as well some other places but talk to the guys over at base camp. Okay so i want to give my impression of. Two pairs of binoculars that i had bought that you see in the foreground. These are 10 by 25 Oculus that are the. Bass pro brand and this is a pair of 8. By 25 source keys and the source keys. Are made in austria the bass pro brand. The Oculus is made in china now i wanted. Something smaller than the two that you. See in the background these are a pair. An excellent pair that i use for astronomy these are fuji nines 7 by 50s beautiful. Pair of binoculars and by the way fujinon makes the largest binoculars in. The world there are 150 millimeters. Which is 6 inch diameter lenses so the lenses 6 inches to 6 inch diameter. Lenses and then the other pair that i. Have back here i bought our 8 by 40 2s. And they're leopold's, and they're very nice for what they are and but i wanted something smaller that. I could carry with me obviously these things are huge they're heavy and i use. These mostly for astronomy and these other ones are nice too they're small but i just wanted something that's even smaller as you can see here i wanted. Something that was almost you know just. Made for the pocket something that you could carry and almost be out of the way. Ok I'm going to get the weight of these announces the first pair is going to be. The Oculus 10 by 25 now they come in. Excuse me in about 8.4 ounces now the iq. Lists are made in china okay they're. Made in china they're 150 dollars at. Bass pro and again they are the bass. Pearl brand now the saguaros keys. They are made in austria they are $819. For that pair those are 8 by 25 now i do. Realize that i should have done had two. Of the same pair okay but the problem is. Bass pro in perrysburg did have a pair. Of source keys that were 10 by 25. Problem is when i got them home they had. All kinds of white dots all kinds of little i don't know what it was dirt little specks all over and even over on the objective end here and. The ten by twenty fives actually are. They were eight hundred and eighty dollars so the ten by twenty-five works. Is where 880 versus ten by twenty-five sr. 819 and there's no way in hell i was going to keep them i did cause the worse key they had no idea what it was so i. Just returned them so in any event i did. Take a look at the ten by twenty fives in the store though we evaluated them. But so i just wanted to make that note. Okay here's some general impressions between the two the both pair i thought. Had real nice tension between the two. Halves at fold now the reason they do that I'm almost assuming is because to make them small most binoculars fold in. The center but that dominate fold that. Be too big and wide so by doing it and the edges like this to get them more compact but both pair i felt had been. Very nice the edge does go to the source. Keys they feel better but nothing objection about the other on the. Focusing really had big problems with. Then personally with me with the focusing on the Oculus okay I'm used to. Then either being in the center or here closer and what happened for me at least is when I'm trying to focus i always found myself having to move my down here to focus it was just awkward. Not something that was insurmountable but i just found them awkward whereas. The source keys are right up here they. Were beautiful just nice they were very intuitive you. Placed them just right i felt comfortable now the diopter adjustments. To correct on both pair the adapter adjustment will be for the right side and that calibrates if you're if you're. Both eyes or if one is different than the other you first focus i always close. My right eye focus with a left i close. My left eye once focus open up my right and then you turn the die after adjustment and when the focus is good. Then both sides are calibrated to each. Eye so i thought that the dr. adjustment. Which is up here was finders i had no problems with it had a very good tension. Not too tight not too loose it does have a plus and minus here and it's got a. Little arrow at the zero point. But the diopter adjustment was. Spectacular on the sorceries it's that. Little button down here now in this case. — you couldn't bunk that so don't get me wrong you wouldn't be able to pump that those are good i really liked it down here though and you can get to them you. Now you just once adjusted you couldn't. Get to them from the bottom so when you're using them you couldn't bump them so i really liked that i thought that. Was a nice feature the other thing is. They both have eye cups that are adjustable now with the iq list they. Have kind of two settings up here. Then they have a little where they click. Stop there i found that to be nice the. Source keys on the other hand they just. Went up and down very smooth with no issues okay. So if we take the binoculars and fold. Then up these silver skis are just a. Hair taller not much just a bit taller. They are thicker this or skis are thicker, or they're a bit thicker and the. Skis are a bit wider again they're both. Excellent binoculars if you want something portable as far as size wise they're both they're both very nice so. Now you're looking at the eyepiece end. And the objectives and of these. And both optics are coated but both. Binoculars have coated optics. Okay now i wear eyeglasses and i have to. Have eye pieces that have a good length. Of eye relief and so i relief is the. Distance it's a fixed distance from the eyepiece lens to where the exit pupil okay from the eye lens the front through. The exit pupil where it forms an image so I'm just going to put my pen here now. This is exaggerated but you know so you. Could have high relief and again this is exaggerated so say 18 millimeters which. Is a good eye relief and then it could be out here to work and that's where your eye has to be placed it'll never be that far but I'm just trying to give an example so you could have i believe that is only several millimeters which means if you get glasses you're going to vignette and you're not going to see the whole field of view and that's extremely annoying so with my glasses. These are perfect I've read am half of. Both pairs that have excellent eye relief so there're no issues with either one of them and if you want to control. Where they set so when you put them on so if you want to control how the where. They're positioned that's when you can use your eye cup to where if you want to. Put your glasses right on the shield. Then you just adjust them that way now i find that i don't need to do that again if you don't wear glasses then that you then these come in handy because then you can put them up and you can put them up to your eye and that's when the eye. Cups will come in even more handy again. I don't use them with my glasses i don't need them but again both pair were. Excellent eye relief if you were glasses and i don't like taking my glasses off especially at night during the day what's how you're going to do with your glasses so both pair that's not an issue. Okay so just a little word on exit pupil. So that's just the diameter of the light. The beam of light the shaft of light that is coming out of the binoculars and. That enters through your eye. Now the that's always exploded are given in millimeters so to calculate. The exit pupil all you have to do is take the aperture which is the diameter. Of the lens okay the objective or the lens you take that diameter which in this source keys. Are 25 millimeters well both period are 25 then the source keys they're 8 by 25. So you take 25 divided by 8 you get 3. Point 1 to 5 millimeters so that's the diameter that cone of light work where your eye has to be placed where it forms that image 3.1 to 5 millimeters now in. The other pair in the Oculus pair. They're 10 by 25 so that's 25 divided by. 10 2 and a half millimeters is the diameter of that light cone shaft coming out to where your eye is placed that's where that's the exit pupil diameter there now given the fact that the 8 by. 25 s are two times less magnification of. The tens it would be given that you have a brighter field but i was very impressed when i did compare the 10 by. 25 s at bass pro to the demos that they had of the sources 10 by 25 i was. Extremely impressed what you get for $150 very impressed i mean i still. Would have probably edged out the source. Keys for other reasons but brightness wise these are pretty damn good i really. Have to give i really have to give it to. The Oculus they've done a really good job at that price point at $150 i thought they were extremely nice in fact. These are a hell of a nice pair you want something that's relatively cheap and. And rugged really you can't beat these i. Mean even though i wasn't too happy with the focus i could live with that it would just be hitting me having to get used to that so for that kind of. Money i think there are a hell of a. Bargain i really think they're nice doesn't you know now the source is. On the other hand the 10 by 25 s that i. Saw at bass pro the demos obviously for. $880 i would have to say that they were the. Better the better between the two if you. Weren't looking at the money and in this. Particular case i wish i could have made. A pair of eight by 25 because that's. Really what i prefer to have i really want the 8 by 25 and so to make a long. Story short I'll be returning to 10 by. 25 for me hand-holding is also much. Nicer a little easier to handhold over. Long longer period of time the eight. Time magnification versus the ten uh and. That's just me everybody's a little bit different that's why you know you need to get a pair check them out i wanted to bring. Then home start test them i thought both pair were excellent um and the stars also but i have to give. The edge i have to say that the salwar. Skis are better now again i wish i would. Have had the 10 time to check out on the stars also but i just like the eight. Times all-around better and i think it's. Just the better investment for me but. Again you cannot go wrong i think it's. That this video Oculus is a spectacular. Spectacular buy i mean it's really. Amazing what they're giving you up for $150 so with both binoculars you get a. Case this is the Oculus okay somewhat. Plain and simple ah the belt loop here is somewhat of a. Pain in the ass i would say it's very snug yet it would work i just not the. The Best simple case velcro. Works just fine. Just like that one thing i do like about that you fit in dice there's you don't have to work at it to get them out it works very well so that's nice. Okay the case for the source keys are a. Hole cut a ball which i would expect for. What's how you pay for them you've got. Dual zipper really nice padded interior. Very nicely padded okay versus the. Ayat list which is just your material. There is no plan i didn't state that it's got some kind of inner lining but there is no padding. Per se there is no cushioning these. Have real good padding throughout i like. This ring it's got a nice neck strap. That attaches so that you can actually carry this around your neck it's got a. Really nice belt thing here if you want. Okay today we're going to take a look at the loophole buicks 1 Yosemite. Binoculars these are 8 by 30 s so they. Have 8 power magnification and 30. Millimeter objectives here and i used. These binoculars for a couple of years. When well i couldn't afford anything. Else really, so they aren't quite affordable i think i paid $100 for these and for the money they are really very. Good if you read the forum's people say that these are better than 500 dollars. Binoculars better than a thousand dollar binoculars as far as the optical quality. Goes the optical quality of these binoculars is absolutely phenomenal. They're as good as my zeiss conquests. Here which are you know like six seven $800 binoculars and yeah people are. Absolutely right about that and the reason for that is that these are porro prism binoculars, so they have kind of that old-school angled objective and. There's nothing wrong with that in fact they're very comfortable to hold and. Good overall for that but there are some. Negatives to this and it's quiet. Unfortunate because they're there they're very good binoculars the negatives are the build quality of everything else which is they would fix that if they would make a pair a $200 pair of binoculars with this glass that. Would be phenomenal the bad things about these binoculars are everything is. Kind of especially the eye cups they're. Just there's no stiffness in this there's no. Detent they just move themselves it's a. Hard plastic so it's not very comfortable and for my particular eyes. These large objectives don't fit me very. Well i have the same problem on my diocese so i can't really fault a binocular for that but this looseness isn't very good something if. You have the objective extended and you put your face against them they might sometimes you just pushes all it takes. To get them to move on you so that's. Um that's quite a big name. The other thing is the focus wheel on this is it's quite stiff so it's. Difficult to focus and it also moves. Itself so if you maybe not you push in. But it's stiff for turning to move these. Objectives outward then it is to move them inward move them outward as stiff movement in is very easy and that's worse than hot weather so it's not that hot now but when it's hot it almost moves by itself because the. Grease in here gets heats up but whatever else happened so that's that's. Another disappointment and for me as i sort of hinted at these. Hard objective lenses don't particularly. Fit my eyes very well but i had that problem with a lot of binoculars so i can't really fault them too much for that but oh man i did use these for a. Couple of years and i was very happy with them in fact I'm not sure I'm still. Not sure it was worth upgrading to these isis because i paid five times as much. For those but for the price there. They're truly excellent the quality of the glass is phenomenal you wouldn't think that these were 30 millimeter objectives i mean they're very bright they let in a lot of light they're clear there's no distortion. Phenomenal glass but poor build. Quality if they would just invest a little bit more into making a good decent body for these ten out of ten. Maybe the binoculars to buy as it stands. I'd say maybe eight out of ten good ifs. You're on a budget good if they fit you. Well very good but if you want high. Build quality. Maybe's maybe it's not quite for you. Yeah it's its a little bit hard to say. Really it's some i mean they are for the. Price they really are phenomenal but the to three things i don't like it's enough to make me sort of not want them anymore so these are actually being sold just do you know — um. Hey guys welcome back to gun city I'm ferg and today we are looking at the cricket it is beautiful little Leopold at Yosemite by nose now these little. Yosemite z' are a fantastic little pair of 85 30 by nose which are great they. Give you a very big field of view they're nice and cheap they're also very easy to use every person and the family would be able to use them because you can change the distance between the eyes and also the eye focus is very easy to use as well they're really clear like they're pulling the light really well for the price point that they're at and that also nitrogen-filled which means that that shockproof that waterproof and. I've also got some nice rubberized armor on the outside now also they've got low fold gold band warren tell me which means a lifetime warranty so if you want. Some good all-round blinds that are compact you can go on in your bag and pull out when you need them check these out these little polls by nose are. Really nice to hold they fit your hand real well, and they give you a really crisp wide field of view really nice.

This is another rangers tabletop review of leopold tactical 10 by 50 binoculars. These just arrived in and yeah we woulda. Liked them there are a couple of things that we don't like which we'll go through later the things we do like are. These 100% waterproof nitrogen-filled and fog proof the eye relief is really. Good when using the form blanc for long periods of time you don't get the i stress this is really nice they just. Twist out like this particular. Variation comes with tactical milling. Reticle emr or mil dot reticle i would. Suggest if you're going for long distance shooting long-range shooting then you're going to want the tmr because it's a finer ekta chol and more. Useful for ranging over long distance what we also like as well is this. Actually turns this dial here the. Reticle now you won't be able to see this but if you want to range anything. That's horizontal or vertical but it's. Not exactly 100% vertical or horizontal then this actually adjusts it also if. The binoculars are being passed between two three people that's really useful. For iced basing things we don't like are. These rubbish lens caps we have to say I've lost these probably three times. Already a bit of a throwaway item on an. Expensive pair of binoculars it's its. Not really the right thing to put on léopold these need to be changed. I would suggest something like the steiner design where you twist some off. Pull them off and they just are held on. The strap underneath the binocular world the binoculars are in use these actually. Are really important items if they're. Not built properly and they're lost and. These get damaged then the very. Expensive pair of binoculars is pretty. Much throw away abul so not very well. Done for their pole for these. These also cheap nasty these areas here. Again needs some attention these would have been better in anodized stainless. Stainless steel or aluminum a nice. Black finish over something that's harder than these little plastic things here they don't get top marks for those. Either overall though these are really. Nice we like them just a little little. Things like that they'd fallen down and unfortunately another plus is this as. Well this pack that comes in its one of. The best packs we've seen on the pair of binoculars here at ranges actually nice. Heavy-duty zipper lots of padding inside. It'll pocket in here so you can put any. Lens dust cloths in here and your the. Pieces of maybe any tools there's a. Little bit of room in there you could fit quite a few things than their if. These are dropped these are going to be protected in this case you like that also we like these male attachments on the back this can be attached to your. Tactical assault packs. You've got molly down the side here and on the front overall a very nice. Package that just the lens caps leopold. Change those and these are gorilla a winning pair of binoculars for the price. Probably one of the better ones on the market.

Hey folks have here some steiner. Binoculars steiner out of germany these are the 8. By 42 predator extremes the colors forth. Green they come in this really nice. Steiner case here's the by no sir. The strap attached strap for. This case and there's a couple little sliders here adjustments for the strap. Now in the spirit of full disclosure i. Am a huge steiner fan and it dates back. To my days in the marine corps where a. Lot of my gear tasting gear companies. Come from we use the steiners there and. I don't remember what model it is it's the wide ones, and they were awesome. I mean they were always crystal-clear and a big thing they were tough and let me tell you any gear that can be used by. The marines it is tough because marines break everything and i do mean everything so for these to stand up and not break they're tough and let me tell you these. Are some tough but i healers and then. Also my I've always wanted a pair of the. Steiner binoculars and when i was just over in germany this last summer i got to see a lot of steiners they're very popular over there of course because they are extremely well-made and from. What i found with the germans they don't. Do anything that they can't be the best as if they can't make a product that's the best. They don't make so I'm a huge fan of. German optics and that's not to say there aren't some other optics that come. From other companies countries that are great at making them i know the austrians make great optics i believe the u.s. makes great optics i. Believe there's a lot of good optics coming out of japan also so there's a. Lot of company countries that make great optics but to me that the german optics. Are my personal favorite and these. Puppies here have quite a few features so bear with me i have come on ipad i. Got the web page up i got the owner's manual i got some other resources here so I'll have to confer I'll try to keep. It shortened as concise as possible so. And the first thing i want to go over with these optics and these optics. Have an updated coating on them it's the predator coating we call it and that's whether predator optics but this coating. They have on them allows for animals to. Kind of pop out at you if you would so. What it does this coating it kind of dampers the greens a little bit subdues. Then and not even to the point where it's that noticeable with the human eye because the greens still look really good on this but it allows for browns. And reds to really contrast well so when. You're looking through these wildlife. Such as deer tend to pop out at you a. Little bit more than with standard. Binoculars now i usually this past. Weekend hunting its my first time and i. Have to admit i didn't see anything any. Deer it was a terrible weekend i didn't see any deer with these. Binoculars but i did see other wildlife i saw some squirrels some coyotes and i. Can tell you they do contrast with their. Background a little bit better than with standard binoculars i thought they popped out pretty well i really like that feature i think it's a nice feature and for hunting i think these are about. To me i think the best optics you can. Buy in my opinion. Some other features i really like about this i like these lens caps they attach so there's nothing to lose some of my other optics the lens cap is removable it comes off, and they get lost. These front side lens caps also are. Attached the side here is a little slot, so they actually completely disappear the side is permanently attached it's. Kind of nicely swing away so you don't have any issues you know they don't get. In your way while you're using them but. I do like detachable eyepieces so then. We have right here is the center focusing ring to focus these the first. Time you use them kind of like for signing a gun you put this you twist it. So that it's in the middle of the range and then you use the diopter to adjust. For your eyes once it's focused then. Then you use this for the fine-tuning focusing or the fine focusing as you go. These here also have to give you proper. Eye relief these eye cups come out. Has these little flaps here for to keep the sun out or you can if you don't like them you can or if you don't need them you can fold them away the picture on. Here is i kind of alluded to earlier for. Me to the steiner optics have the most crystal-clear optics that i have personally ever used i know some people say the source keys are the best some. People's opinion i think the price on these things here. Is outstanding for the quality that you. Get I've caught up to msrp is on it let me check here real quick i believe it's five four or five six hundred like that. Let me check i apologize for not having had information it's not here on a. Website but their price significantly. Significantly less than the Sikorsky. Optics which i think is awesome and i. Will as i go through I'll post a price. Supposed to help with internal fogging in the case of extreme temperature changes that's really important up here in the north where i hunt it's nice and warm inside when you go outside it can be extremely cold they have rubber armor. Right on them and the bottom here has a place for your thumbs kind of comfortable it's nice in glasses it nice. When you have gloves on it helps with gripping and it is nice texture. Here also and then another feature i. Really like about this it's called the nano protection optics and it's their. Protected against environmental impact and has a high water repellency so even. When it's raining you still see well the. Water is going to beat up really nice on it so i need as i said it's the 8 by 40 2's they weigh twenty-six point five. Ounces excuse me field of view is 369 feet at a thousand. Yards i believe it is 42 millimeters the. Dimensions of these in inches is 6.9. Lengths 2.6 height and 4.9 width so if. You have never tried out steiner optics. I highly encourage you to do so and you can even you know it's so a nice thing about optics unlike guns you. Can't really try them out in the store a nice thing about optics is you can go to. The store and try them out you can compare other optics to them look at the. Contrast if you compare these to any.
