Equipment says it comes in at 325 grams. I've weighed it after i bought it and after I've worn it for a while and off life and washed it and in size m it. Actually comes in slightly below dirt and stays up that way but so do you know. Fit up the jacket is really nice it's really nice and snug it's long enough the it it's got articulated arm. So if you're using your arms above your head for climbing it doesn't come up too much it's got really cool adjustments. Here on the hem don't ever wear you can see that where you can adjust either. Front under back length individually which is pretty cool and it's also got a small pocket on the. Inside here which is big enough for phone or maybe a couple of power bars so. The side pockets are a little bit higher so you can still access them when you're wearing a harness the jacket also comes. With a hood which is pretty nice and thin and easily fits under helmet so. I've worn this instead of a hat in. Scottish winter in any ups as well and it's always kept my neck and my ears and. My head warm enough and even i mean this. Is the great thing about synthetic insulation that even when you get a bit wet or damp towards the end of the day it keeps you. Relatively warm obviously it's not going to be nice and cozy anymore but warm enough that you can keep going and get yourself back to the car or wherever. You have it the jacket also all parts. Another layer on when you stop for a little bit so you can just keep going with this layer on all day and it makes. Your day a lot more efficient out in the mountains the only thing that bothers me a little bit about this jack is that on one of the seams so I'm assuming it's a. Manufacturing error the other seam seems to have been flipped over inside this when it's been sewn in but it's not really an issue. That doesn't impact the performance at all okay let's summarize the other. Prize of this jacket is super lightweight it's got a really good insulation to weight ratio it packs down really small into its own pocket it's a wind brief its breathable and all. Of these make it a really versatile jacket that i would take out on any day in the mountains the only. Cons are there seems to be like an issue with the manufacturing of one of the seams and it's not cheap and I'm saying. Not cheap and not expensive because yes it's a lot more expensive than some of the mid layer alternatives maybe such as. A simple fleece but it's so much more. You can wear it as an outer layer on days when it's not chucking it down of rain it remains relatively warm when it gets. Wet it's windy it's super light it's really pack able so yeah i would highly. Activities like that but it's also a good jacket for wearing on energetic. Walks like this one has been today so. So we get hot you can open it up like. That there's also a draw cord loop there. But there's no draw cord in it you have to put your own draw cord in but if you want to you can do now well they got what they call a low volume bottom of. The trousers that is to keep them in. Sort of fairly close and i really like that because as you can see you don't. Get all cat up with mud up here which is. Often happens you know with your trousers normally when you're out walking but it helps keep them clean stop some gets away and get some muddy. And if we go up a little bit I'm not. Hi I'm paul from hike light and this. Video is going to be about the ibex pants from mountain equipment now the ibex pants are a soft shell stretch pant. At a very affordable price and in my opinion once you try to stretch pant and doing outdoor activities you won't want to go back and the important thing about the ibex pants is the premium you're paying for stretch pant is really quite small so in my opinion well worth the money so let's go through some of the features the pens now the first thing i want to talk about is the fabric now this is a proprietary fabric from mountain equipment which is why its possible thing that is sold at a pretty affordable price now my opinion the inevitable is to compare with shala. Which is a very expensive material and the rolls-royce as far as shell pants are concerned and in my opinion these compare very well firstly the stretch is. Superb and much as you could want they're very good in terms of breath ability and also water resistance and compared to shoulder actually quiet. A hard outer — these almost like a sort. Of an a face fabric which means that they're far less inclined to get caught by bran blur than things which is something that Charlotte tends to suffer from so compared to shoulder I'd say. These are considering the price difference superb value for money and really very attractive the cut on. The ibex pants is pretty athletic, so they're quite figured hugging, but they're. All like tights and not gonna make you feel like you look like a marathon runners they do look quite sensible on the hill, but they are quite close-fitting these are 32 inch waists. And i would say my waist is 31 inches which means i could choose between a 30. And a 32 in my opinion if anything I'd. Go up a size of these because they aren't quite a figure hugging if i took the 30-inch waist then i tend to find they're they're too tight for me, so they are quite a close count now on each side. Of the pants there are two pockets and up one and a lower one now these pockets. Are reasonable size, but they're not gigantic you're not going to get a map in anything but then you probably wouldn't want to and then on the right-hand side there's also an additional pocket on the rear but that's only on that song but. The waist fastening is with two poppers which i think works much better than one and then there's a sensible belt with a. Good clasp ear and also the belt is. Enclosed most of around the waist so you don't get the problem riding up which can happen with some belts only have a few loops around the edges finally the legs have zips with an.
