That it comes in it also comes with a little case so you can put the binocular and fits in there perfectly if you want to put it in there to put it in your pack or you can just leave them out floating freely like most people do than. I do as well also at the same time that. Does come with some of the eye caps i was blocking the sign back here so thank. You for moving that so again comes with some white caps to put on the protection well get into the great stuff so edie glasses in here essentially that is high definition for your eyes we all remember was like watching tv several years ago. Before hdtv came out this is hd for your. Eyes low-light conditions up to 92% more. Light transmittance into this binocular here it comes with field flattener lens. So it's going to get rid of in that chromatic aberration that you're going to be getting it's gonna be a wide field. Of view, it's gonna be about 362 fields of. View at a thousand yards so very. Impressed with these binoculars i really think this is going to cause some serious competition for the european brands out there nikon really went all. Stand on binoculars is losing the objective covers i can tell you nikon did a great job designing durable covers. With great retention that are also easily replaceable the color and clarity. From a montana elk hunt and before the hunt i showed some of the gear that i was going to take with me i had some guys asking me about the binoculars in particular the nikon monarch sevens so. I'm gonna go over those a little bit today just a real quick video these Bushnell's are the ones that I've had for years probably eight or nine years and a couple things i don't like about them one is these old-style eye relief caps here they flip you can see. This one's completely missing i lost it don't even know where it is this one's you know on its last leg these new icons. Have a really cool way of doing that. Look twist for more eye relief if you're. Wearing glasses you can scale them back out they also have so you would get your. Focus with this ring here with your left. Eye and then on your right eye let me turn around so on your right eye you would actually use this to fine-tune your right eye now they also have integrated lens protection one of the. Things that i really liked about these was the ability to change my focal depth. With those Bushnell's i didn't have this dial on there were i could pull the focus out or push it in and the benefit of this is let's say. You're looking at a deer through the woods if you pull your focus sometimes back it reveals branches and things that are in between you and the target you know the subject matter and can. Probably help you to avoid taking a very bad shot I'm gonna roll in some footage right here so you can kind of see that you'll see that I'm focused out on something and as i pull the zoom back you can see that it reveals things that you could not previously see so very. Beneficial loved these rings there. Okay today we're going to take a look at the loophole buicks 1 Yosemite. Binoculars these are 8 by 30 s so they. Have 8 power magnification and 30. Millimeter objectives here and i used. These binoculars for a couple of years. When well i couldn't afford anything. Else really, so they aren't quite affordable i think i paid $100 for these and for the money they are really very. Good if you read the forum's people say that these are better than 500 dollars. Binoculars better than a thousand dollar binoculars as far as the optical quality. Goes the optical quality of these binoculars is absolutely phenomenal. They're as good as my zeiss conquests. Here which are you know like six seven $800 binoculars and yeah people are. Absolutely right about that and the reason for that is that these are porro prism binoculars, so they have kind of that old-school angled objective and. There's nothing wrong with that in fact they're very comfortable to hold and. Good overall for that but there are some. Negatives to this and it's quiet. Unfortunate because they're there they're very good binoculars the negatives are the build quality of everything else which is they would fix that if they would make a pair a $200 pair of binoculars with this glass that. Would be phenomenal the bad things about these binoculars are everything is. Kind of especially the eye cups they're. Just there's no stiffness in this there's no. Detent they just move themselves it's a. Hard plastic so it's not very comfortable and for my particular eyes. These large objectives don't fit me very. Well i have the same problem on my diocese so i can't really fault a binocular for that but this looseness isn't very good something if. You have the objective extended and you put your face against them they might sometimes you just pushes all it takes. To get them to move on you so that's. Um that's quite a big name. The other thing is the focus wheel on this is it's quite stiff so it's. Difficult to focus and it also moves. Itself so if you maybe not you push in. But it's stiff for turning to move these. Objectives outward then it is to move them inward move them outward as stiff movement in is very easy and that's worse than hot weather so it's not that hot now but when it's hot it almost moves by itself because the. Grease in here gets heats up but whatever else happened so that's that's. Another disappointment and for me as i sort of hinted at these. Hard objective lenses don't particularly. Fit my eyes very well but i had that problem with a lot of binoculars so i can't really fault them too much for that but oh man i did use these for a. Couple of years and i was very happy with them in fact I'm not sure I'm still. Not sure it was worth upgrading to these isis because i paid five times as much. For those but for the price there. They're truly excellent the quality of the glass is phenomenal you wouldn't think that these were 30 millimeter objectives i mean they're very bright they let in a lot of light they're clear there's no distortion. Phenomenal glass but poor build. Quality if they would just invest a little bit more into making a good decent body for these ten out of ten. Maybe the binoculars to buy as it stands. I'd say maybe eight out of ten good ifs. You're on a budget good if they fit you. Well very good but if you want high. Build quality. Maybe's maybe it's not quite for you. Yeah it's its a little bit hard to say. Really it's some i mean they are for the. Price they really are phenomenal but the to three things i don't like it's enough to make me sort of not want them anymore so these are actually being sold just do you know — um. Yosemite z' are a fantastic little pair of 85 30 by nose which are great they. Give you a very big field of view they're nice and cheap they're also very easy to use every person and the family would be able to use them because you can change the distance between the eyes and also the eye focus is very easy to use as well they're really clear like they're pulling the light really well for the price point that they're at and that also nitrogen-filled which means that that shockproof that waterproof and. I've also got some nice rubberized armor on the outside now also they've got low fold gold band warren tell me which means a lifetime warranty so if you want. Some good all-round blinds that are compact you can go on in your bag and pull out when you need them check these out these little polls by nose are. Really nice to hold they fit your hand real well, and they give you a really crisp wide field of view really nice.

Difference in low lighting and being out there trying to glass with other people who i know it's crazy spending you know a thousand or three thousand or even more on you know on a piece of optics but it really makes a. Difference on the crystal or the prisms. Or whatever that whatever's going on in their yes this is great for perfect lighting. Wide-open concha everything that i need. If I'm in the right area right time sure. Does it give me the view that i want at. One two hundred yards so far if bow hunter is that perfect yes if i was. Caught in the optimal condition of finding my game at that range now if i. Glass something and I'm looking for this. The Smallest little baby air horn something at a thousand yards i. Don't think this is gonna cut it to be. Honest but so i was advised to step up. And they make the other version it was a. Little over a thousand bucks and i should have listened i really should have but i didn't so that's obviously. Gonna be my next purchase and that's what i hate is buying something the same thing twice or three times when you. Could have just bought the right thing one time and i know again who the hell wants to spend that much money on optics. Sometimes you got it so this is. Something that it works for me but if. You're gonna be stalking and glassing at some very long distances i would think twice invest a little more money vortex. Is a great plant brand vest a little. More money in house i mean especially you know early morning. Towards the evening i mean those are. Prime hunting hours, and we're talking about not the most optimal light. Conditions but you need that and you need to be able to see and pick out the keys the smallest thing unless you're lucky and something just presents itself or you're just sitting in a tree stand all day which there's nothing wrong with that but unless it comes to you want. To have something for you to spot stock. And come to it and for me that's my type. Of hunting my type of doing things i can't just sit around and wait for it to happen or to come to me i want to make. It happens close the deal however you. Want to put it in a metaphor or whatever. I want to make it happen i see it i want. To go find it takes care of it I'm not. Gonna sit there and wait for it to come to me because you know what there's. Nothing wrong with that but i feel like. You're dealing more with luck and uh especially here in montana and i mean. You can't paint there's there's none of. That it's a straight skill so I'm gonna. Choose a stocking over sitting so with. That great binoculars for me but i would. Have gone with something different just food for thought but as an archer and if. You find yourself the optimal conditions again go with these they'll work if you. Don't want to spend the 1100 1200 bucks or 3 grand or whatever you know it gets.

Make me very happy because definitely not in the budget and yeah it's something i have to have. It really is it's to me binoculars are. Import an important piece of gear to have because you know you want to be able to see your terrain that you're in you know and especially you know if you're hiking or hunting what you know. Whatever maybe you know it's its been a. Vital piece of equipment so i like to. Always have them around so what i had. Were these nikon's now you know they. Worked I've had these for quite a few years, but they broke like i said and. What broke is this toggle that zooms in. And out it just shattered inside of itself for no reason at all and there's. Course no warranty that sucks there's no. Better way to put that i think is you. Now it wasn't offered it's not an option you know it's just there's nothing i can do they're broken so goodbye to those what. I replace them with and I'm so happy i did vortex diamondback now before we get. More into these exactly the reason i was. So set on going toward vortex optics not. Because just to everybody has them but. Well that's part of the reason why everyone has it's their warranty that. I'm so big on warranties because you. Now if you pay for something you do expect a certain amount of you know quality control and if something goes wrong you know that company should have to answer for it in reason and. Their vip warranty that they offer i. Haven't found one yet that really is. Simple and as great as theirs i mean. Because you can drop them accidentally. And you know break the lens or scratch the lens and you know they're gonna repair it or replace it you know truly. If it was accidental or if there was some true defects you know in the optic that you were using. And again is no questions asked you know again unless you obviously try to do it. On purpose like smash it with a hammer and I'm sure they can figure that but. Yeah it's just to me i don't have to. Worry about these now if these break ten years from now they'll take care of it so enough about that you guys can read more on them on their website if you want but what I'm showing off today again is these diamondback it's the 10. By 40 twos and they really include. Everything the only thing that's missing is the tripod adapter they don't include. That you do have to buy that separately but i guess not everybody is using these. On a tripod like i am so you know i cuz. I do like to view long distance and i don't have the steadiest hands so tripod adapter is a must for me as well but it. Comes with the lens caps for the front. And the back sorry I'm not using the proper terms because you can't think of them but again they adjust typical you. No right on the top there and it does. Have and also of course the eyepiece for. Focus as well but the case that comes with is really nice it's a semi hard. Case and you can actually carry this around. Your neck so for any of those like serious bird watchers or you know or if. You're just looking to keep it in the case and keep it safe again you can put. This around your neck and just it doesn't actually fall all the way open it's got these little straps here on the. Side that prevent it from dumping all. Your stuff out so just a really neat design they really kind of thought this through when they made this but again. Comes with the strap for this and it. Comes with the neck strap for the binoculars as well which this is actually nice it's got kind of kind of. A grip types material so it doesn't just slide around your neck it actually stays put which is nice but again fairly soft. Not ichi by any means but yeah i mean. Really these are just they feel good you. No again i got bigger hands and everything, and they fit well and the image and that's what I'll go. More into it's just their crystal clear I've never owned good glass you know. I've never i mean I'm not gonna count. Those a night cause this good glass i guess that's entry-level glass not to offend anybody i guess but I'm sure they make nicer ones now but there's just. Seeing some of the bigger names now you know i know vortex makes their hd glass which these aren't hd but it's still. Such a difference these vortexes compared to mine icons is night and day. It's just incredible and you know it's just it's frustrating i waited this long to get you know an upgraded pair of. Binoculars because i can see so much. Better what I'm looking at compared to those old pair that broke on me so for a. Budget-friendly you know again on their website the msrp I'm not mistaken as a. Round like 270 280 you know which is. Within reason but i got to say look around because i bought mine off re i have like a 20% off coupon or whatever. And i only paid like a hundred and. Eighty dollars after everything like maybe 190 so wide a bits of a savings you. Now to still get you know for tech's brand binoculars and i still get that vip warranty doesn't matter where you buy it from you're still always gonna. Have that warranty even if you bought binoculars off a friend or whatever a scope you still have that warranty it's. It always goes with the product so that again really cool so yeah i mean again i. Didn't want to make this a super detailed video because i don't know like. Their binoculars and you know yeah. There's a lot out there but i just wanted to share with you cuz you know i posted just a picture just to say i got a new pair of binoculars on twitter and people are like you have to review them so i did because well i guess that is kind of the point of this channel right i should probably review most of what i. Performance ratio and of course vip. Warranty which i will talk about more. Later this is a new model it was. Introduced in 2016 from the diamondback. Series the there is a older version of. The same binoculars diamondback series. Is a best-selling vortex series it. Offers incredibly versatile binoculars. That are hand friendly waterproof fog proof and also have incredible optical features the price performance ratio. With this binoculars is the highest. We've seen you can choose among 8. Different models for different outdoor use or hunters bird watchers traveler. Travelers hikers and so on we have. Smaller models in the series so we have. 8 and 10 by 28, and we have 8 and 10 by. 30 to write out words which are compact. Binoculars and we have 8 and 10 by 42. Like this and bigger for low-light use. We have 10 and 12 by 50 monikers these. Binoculars are made in china they weigh around 607 grams. They're quite light for this configuration they are around 13. Centimeters wide and fourteen point five. Millimeters centimeters sorry long as. You can see they're compact they have. Schmidt mechanisms have a nice and slick design this green. Dark green color with some black features they are of course fully. Waterproof and filled with argon gas to. Prevent an internal fogging they are. Protected with rubber armor inc which. Offers a comfortable grip especially with these dots on the side they as well. Have here a special place for your. Thumbs so the handling is even easier. These monitors can be adapted on a. Tripod this tripod adaptable screw you. Just unscrew this and you can mount them. On a tripod the design of these. Binoculars is ergonomic they lie. Perfectly in your hand easily adjust the. Focus with just one finger or maybe holding them with one hand the field of. View is 100 point 6 meters at a thousand. Meters honestly this is a bit narrow but. That's because of the ten power magnification optically these binoculars. Have a sharp and bright image the image. Is sharp the center not so much on the. Edges there's very minimal chromatic. Aberration but that's to be expected in. This price range this diamondback model. Is recommended for the birdwatchers that. Are observing larger birds in open areas. Such as on the sea lakes and large. Fields and these balancers are as well. Perfect for hunters who would like to observe more detailed image for example. From the stands in the woods forest or in the mountains when the object is far. Away focusing can be done with big. Central focusing knob has ripped. Surface so the adjustment is even easier the turning is hard enough so there is. No fear of accidental turning knob is. Also nicely positioned you can turn it. With finger there is a logo and. Configuration printed on the knob and. For the name series you can also adjust. The difference in your eyes on with. Right i hope turn the knob also seems. Reliable so there is no fear of accidental turning i cops are robert. They offer two fixed positions so by. Twisting we add this middle position and. The top position if you were glasses you. Can easily adjust these eye cups for to. Best fit your needs. These icons are also reliable in any. In-between position which is not stopped. So turning it down is really they want. Easily turn down the rubber on this. Sorry i cups is quite strong and feels. Reliable these binoculars come in this. Hard padded case with a vortex logo on. Then case is quite big it fits all your. Accessories and for the binoculars. You also got a special strap for the. Case strap for padded strap for. Binoculars cleaning cloth rubber eye. Cups eye cup covers for protecting of. Your eye cups there is also attached. Objective lens covers which are made out. Of rubber, it seemed quite durable they. Also come with this ring so you can attach them to the barrels and if they. Bother you can easily remove this. And you have binoculars without the. Covers. You also get instructions. Of course the famous vortex vip warranty. Which is unlimited unconditional. Lifetime warranty basically that means. That they will repair or replace the fact if or damaged products for free to. Sum up this video review these are great. Binoculars for detailed observations. There are nice sleek compact and light. They have light design the image is. Satisfying it is vivid sharp especially. When you consider the price of these binoculars they cost around two hundred. And sixty-nine euros these are a great. Option for bird watchers or hunters and. Of course the best thing is the vip. Warranty to point out some bad things. Field of view could honestly be a bit. Wider when comparing them to other 10 by. 42 configurations these binoculars have. Quite a narrow field of view close folks. Distance is 2 metres so maybe these. Developers are not so suitable for close. Observations but considering the price. These are really a great choice durable have a great image so i think these. Binoculars are a great choice thank you. So start it comes in an awesome case wow. I wasn't expecting that an awesome. Hardcase check that out on I've never. Ever bought a pair of binoculars that have an awesome case like this so that's. A big bonus for me it's actually really. Compacted and realize my old binoculars. Are pretty big and bulky with the same. Specs as well so. Got some lens cleaners here. Like here we have our neck strap you. Now and what's great about this company guys is that a local company great. Company and their warranty is lifetime guarantee so whatever you do to this thing drop it in the stream or something like that something cracks inside or if it gets water damaged just send it back in they'll send you a new one to replace it so but here's the diamondback series. Right here first time first impressions holding it feels good in the hands we've. Got some great eye covers help protect. Your lenses that's nice. Zoom is very easy focus is very easy and. That is really clear wow as your adjustments for glasses or your. Eyes which is awesome as well wow it's. Ready to go right off the bat here guys so i have to do is really connect your neck strap and you're ready to run so i got a separate strap that i put on my body here we're gonna put that back strap on here into the vinyls, and then we're going to take it on out into the woods but first impressions guys this is a fantastic piece of equipment very. Clear vinyls and you have an awesome. Hardcase at the end of the day to pack it back in too and keep everything nice and organized, so we're gonna head out in. Think maybe that's why they're free yeah. A little bit big for me i think that's the problem with having such a small head its they get a little you know i. Like them but i guess small how i get a. Back and i did a review on it and I'm really happy about it and i bought it because I'm going on an animal pump now. Probably by the time this video comes out it i may have already been a lot but. Who knows i don't pay attention to half the one 1/2 the videos, and he'll put them out and everything but and you know diamondback this one here I'm a pretty. Big fan of vortex if some of you guys might know I've got a vortex diamondback. Hp4 16 by 42 on my 6.5 creed moor i have. A diamondback strike eagle 1 to 6 by 42. Or something afro what that is no i have a diamondback scope for my ar-15 my. Wife's got a crossfire on hers and i. Just recently picked up a diamond or a vortex rangefinder to ranger 1000 which. Also put a link somewhere in here or descriptions so now here is the. Diamondback binoculars now they're around 230 dollars come with. A really nice case here look at that and. Again the reason why i chose the diamondback is really just the fact that. They put on a really good product and. It's the warranty the customer service. As you guys if you've done research on diamondbacks or on vortex themselves they're just phenomenal the the the you. Now if anything goes wrong with it has no problems or stories with guys that are dropping them and smashing them or anything else, and they're getting brand-new ones so this is kind of neat so you. No don't turn a camera around, and we'll open the rest of it down here on the counter and show you guys what it looks like ok so here we go again diamondback just regular 10 by 42 and. The reason why i mentioned the binocular. Case the vinyl xr that i got from badlands is because the 10 by 42 was the. The Largest binocular they recommend for that so that's when i went with these and i was looking at the vortex diamondback as well as a lua polled there was a loophole brand and i. Don't remember the name offhand but there was a loophole one out there it was about two hundred and sixty dollars at sportsman's warehouse that's local to me, and then they had these the. Diamondbacks there for 230 well i decided to buy the diamondback for 230 dollars and get the free hat because i. Thought hey i like hats i thought that was a really cool look but hats a little bit big for me so I'm not going to be able to use it so I'll maybe give it away to somebody so anyhow diamondback. Hp or diamondback i mean really nice setup here looks really nice it's not. It's like a little plastic or something case that they give you this in it almost looks like there's gonna be a strap here because this is what you would hang around your neck no it's. Pretty bulky and clunky i don't think I'd be wearing this thing on my neck anytime soon but it is nice it opens up. It's got pleated sides so this way the. The flop the lid doesn't flop open too. Far cardboard insert let's see here are. These things here what is this charters. Are strapped in here someplace this is probably one of them okay it's. This is okay well this would be the case strap so this is going to be the strap that this would go to, so we connect this on there and this one on. Here so you'd wear it something like. That so if you guys can see that it's oh dangling around so you'd wear it like that not something I'm gonna be doing anytime soon okay give you a lens cleaner little. Cloth and it looks like a binocular. Strap as well which I'm not gonna need that either let's get to the meat and potatoes of this one here we go. Nice erat feels really nice these. Little grooves here for your thumbs. Really nice one piece either so that's nice you. Won't have to hate the two individual cap thing that kind of annoys me. These flop out well they also come off. Too so you don't want the little lens covers you can take them right off but that's pretty slick i like that idea yeah see that's pretty cool. So and then they just come right off if you want them there you go look at that's pretty cool so yeah you know i. Guess the hardest thing is going to be to try to figure out if I'm going to be able to convey to you guys what these will look like you know the lens and. Everything like that what its gonna look like in the inside but trying to spin. This knob here and it feels like it's rolling pretty good wow. It's hard to for me to convey what its gonna look like but I'm actually just. Looking forward to okaying this is your. Left eye piece focus and let's see if. There's a dot right there you think did a little dot right there a little white line so nice yep so but like everything. Else you know it's a the higher and vortex the higher and vortex just like a. Lot of other higher and optics definitely going to be made us these. Made in china not always pleased about. Seeing that but yes it is its a lot. Harder nowadays to get things that aren't made in china but yeah it's um. That's nice they're comfortable they. Feel really nice they're pretty lightweight they're gonna their gonna be really compact to go inside there I'm. Not sure if the clips are gonna fit on this that are on my badlands pack yet but I'll have to go check that out off. The maybe I'll go get the pack real quick here and I'll show you guys what it looks like so yeah let me go get that badlands pack and I'll be right back you guys hopefully you guys will see this okay i hate not having a lenser or a. Screen so here's the vinyl xr and again. I'll try to put a link in the video or something like that too so you guys can. Go to that one foot this was the case i bought and it's made for these so flip this open binoculars. Go right there well as a shot nice and. Clean down below is the laser or the. Rangefinder so again it's got a little. Cord there so just dangles a little shock cord so i did that so now here i. Can reach in here get the black euler's what that they have is where's the. Little things at no right here well. That's my little headlight you a little. Headlight thing there so this is the. Clips show you what these look like. Again during the video earlier on I'm. Not sure how this will come across through me you guys to see here see if these are gonna fit no see they won't fit too big so badlands did this i don't. Now why they did it but it doesn't fit. Binoculars or range finders this big ring so you have two options you either. Take this little copper ring off it's a. Little split ring type thing it's just. Crimped like a hog clips or something that they call them it's copper you take that off and you run. This shock cord through here and you put it on there but then that makes it these will be permanently mounted or you take. Shock cord like i did for this i attach. Shock cord to that and i left the big ring on their I'm not really keen on that but i have it nonetheless and it works so what I'm gonna end up having to. Do is I'm gonna have to make some shock port and attach shock cord to this big. Ring so this way i can clip this on and. Off again it's a this badlands bad idea. Bad y-you ever even thought of that i. Have no clue i mean the little clippy thing is awesome but bad so yeah so. I'm gonna do that but just to show you guys that's why i bought this size and out of different sizes because I've had to fit inside this pack here so yeah. So if you're not using them you just took you just take them stole them away to put a little pocket in here you can. Put that there but I've had some people ask about this size and dimension and what you can or cannot use these so now you know that. The diamond diamondback vortex diamondback 10.40 2's fit perfectly in. Here and no issues. So what I'll probably end up doing is going ahead and get the little shock cord thing so you do this then if you have to drop you could drop them, and they'll dangle on refer to you and that'll be it but hey they fit perfectly. Look at that awesome that's what i. Wanted so excited maybe by the time. This video comes out I'll be in montana hunting i don't know or i gotten back and you guys are gonna start seeing some of the video from the trip or some pictures book so yeah again don't horse. In a race i don't get any money and i. Don't get any money from vortex or anybody like that i bought all this. Stuff myself so if you wanna jump on. Amazon you can check opticsplanet.com they have stuff like that sometimes. Cabala's or somebody they run those manufacturer sales but $230 they're. About there's a couple other higher end. Ones where the glass is definitely gonna be a lot better and then when you get up to that five six eight hundred dollar mark this they're gonna probably made in united states but again I'm on a really. Alright kiddies today's product review. Is about my vortex diamondback ten by. Forty two binoculars when i was getting. Ready to go on my trip i was doing a few. You know trying to find the things that i would really need to take with me on this trip and you know stuff that was gonna be really important for hunting you know planning to hunt and scouting. And doing all of that kind of stuff that goes along with actually going out and putting some meat in your freezer one of. The things that i got talked into was buying these binoculars and i got to. Tell you I'm very very pleased that i got talked into buying these my friend. Joe over sportsman's warehouse there in Robert park he showed me a couple of different ones he showed me the diamondbacks, and he. Also showed me the vipers they didn't. Tell me which ones he was handing me he just had me go through the procedure of. You know getting them balanced on the eyepieces and then about six different. Targets to look at and focus in on and. You know he'd hand me a set of binoculars I'd go through the process and look at these several targets that he told me to point out and it's just super amazed at the quality on. Both of these glasses but when i got. Gone looking through the second pair i handed him back to him and i said you. No i can't tell the difference between the two, and he said that's why you're gonna buy the diamondback as ted of the viper because about $200 more for the vipers you're not really able to see the. Difference you know maybe some of you're gonna disagree but this is my review of this product and i can tell you i looked. Again and i couldn't tell the difference between the two the diamondbacks just really very nice. Binoculars they've got some nice weight. To them they're not too heavy not terribly familiar with a lot of the modern optics that are out there but i know I'm very pleased with the weight of. These they're they're not straining on my neck i don't have a i don't have a chest. Carry case i have the carry case that came with him which i don't have to be able to show you today I'll put a picture at the end of the review about that I've got that carry case at home. But you know let's just go over a few of. The features you know first off obviously you have the ability to. Balance the focus on them you know for. Those of you that are not familiar you close your right eye at least with these. At most of most classes that I've seen the focus for the one eye is always on. The right eye so you close your right eye you get them focused so that your. Left eye is seeing super clear I'm. Gonna turn that in just in case that sunshine in their then you close your left eye and you turn this ring on the. Right eye to get it equally focused now that balances because we don't our eyes. Aren't the same on both sides so that's that's a great feature a lot of binoculars have got that most you know decent quality and better have got that really pleased with how easy it was to. Adjust these one of the things i noticed on the diamondbacks is that that right. Eye focus ring is fairly firm which means it's not going to bounce out of position when you're hiking around and. You know scout and crawl into the brush and stuff now the focus ring the focus. Mechanism on these super easy to turn. Super firm the smallest little. Adjustment just gives you a fantastic. Focus you know i can focus out to. You know a thousand yards i can see fairly decent with them obviously you. Now with these at a thousand yards you're not going to have the same quality that you would have with a spotting scope but that's why you have a spotting scope (separate) than these the. Dust caps that come with this you can see on the output side these dust caps fold. Down they've got their own little elastic band on there so it keeps them. On there you can drop them down out of the way and you know they're they're. Pretty secure and then the eyepiece you've got this dual dust cap that. Goes on there one side is notched so you. Can get that off of their pretty easy and the other side is closed loop so it stays on your neck fan I've used these. In a number of different situations today I'm up scouting for hunt and. Coyote we're up here in the high desert of nevada up above the town of pah rump. And you know I'm easily and. Clearly seeing 600 plus yards away today. Definitely take a look at the vortex. Diamondback i can't say enough about them oh yeah one other thing i didn't show you dust caps back on sorry the. Winds kicking up we're probably gonna affect the audio they also have you can. See this they have these adjusters at. The eyepieces so you can set the distance that the lens is away from your. Eyes it's got three you know it slides. But it's got 3d tents there's all the. Way down there's a midpoint and then. There's all the way out, and they lock in. At that but you can adjust a mid way if you need to i keep mine at midpoint. Having them all the way out seems to. Affect my focus and my visual on. Then and having them all the way in you'll find that you get my eyelashes. Will leave marks on the lenses so i got to clean them all the time so playing with him today at midpoint and seeing how i liken that so far like and it's just fine again vortex optics. Diamondback binoculars ten by forty-two. Super pleased with him definitely would. Alright so here's the carry case for the vortex binoculars you can see it's uh. It's a nice case it's fairly firm i mean. It is flexible its i wouldn't say yeah. That's probably crush proof if that's. That zippered shut but you know folds opens got these bellows sides so it does. Have a carry strap so if you're carrying. This around your neck like so and you. Put the binoculars in you know the lid doesn't just fall open on you there so you can you could use this as your carry case i know there's a lot of other. Products out there that are a little more functional for something like this but it does have the release clips on. Here that's the carry case.

Hi this is toby from oh outdoors and. We're just going to do a product review on the vortex crossfire binoculars all. Right started alright so what we got here is. The vortex crossfire 10 by 42 binoculars. They're a roof prism binocular fully. Cooked fully multi-coated lenses great. For low-light situations really a good. Binocular in the price point that there. You can get them for around 150 bucks and i mean for as much technology they. Have into these they that's a really good price they're fully waterproof fog. Proof they've got an armor coating all. The way around on rubber coating it's just great non-slip it's got a center. Focus wheel it's very smooth you can get. A tripod adapter which adapts right in. There that's that is separate though you have to buy that from vortex they have a. Unbelievable warranty vortex is got what. They call a vip warranty which means. Anything happens to them you can send. Then in get them repaired or replaced. Literally gonna dog can chew up the caps. Hi folks thanks for tuning in today I'm going to be reviewing a new pair of binoculars killers i started my research a few months ago i wanted something specifically for rifle hunting and i was. Looking for a pair of premium top-of-the-line binoculars with lots of features again not just good but a premium product well my search i found three models and. Made my short list those wanted the sorrel ski al 10 by 42 rangefinder. Binoculars to zeiss rf 10 by 45. Rangefinder binoculars and the ones that. You see here on the table the leica g ovid hdb 10 by 42 rangefinder binoculars. So what i did was i headed to cabala's i. Did a side-by-side comparison and these. Were the ones i selected they were not. Inexpensive they did run away with my card but in my opinion they were the right choice for me again they were the right choice for me but before i created. My shortlist i looked at many other models vortex steiner canon nikon low. Pole Bushnell you name it but I'm sorry to say these models did not make my short list i also don't have anything negative to say about sreob ski or sights i was basically comparing apples to apples the clarity on all three models. Was phenomenal just ultra clear lenses i. Actually own a pair of sarov skis and. Have for many years disappear vls here but these don't have. The range-finding capabilities built in. That's what i was looking for by the way these aren't going anywhere so anyway what I'll do is I'll break down this pair here talk about the pros and cons. And then I'll do a wrap-up at the end. They do come with covers on top for the. Eyepieces it the top one has a little slit here so you can weave it through the strap so you don't lose them and I'll set these aside and since we're. Talking about the strap this is the strap in my opinion it is a little bit. Thin and you do feel it around the neck after about an hour so the solution for. That is to use a shoulder harness to. Distribute the weight over your shoulders and keep them from flopping. Around this is the pair from my other. Binoculars that i can use and actually this is a better option this is the case. It came with it's a padded case it's. Nice does have a little slot here for. Batteries and extra micro sd cards has. D-rings on the sides for strap loop in. If you don't wear glasses again no problem but you'd simply turn them find. A sweet spot and you're done they come with this micro sd card and. This is really the game changer here this is what made this pair of. Binoculars superior over the other two that i looked at pair of tweezers I'll. Talk about those in a second and of. Course an instructional manual they have. 20 millimeter eye relief they are thirty. Four point seven ounces and i believe that convert so over to 980 3 grams if I'm correct. Ballistics calculator and there you. Would start making selections your caliber the manufacturer the type of. Bullet you're going to be using specifically the grain 270 whatever you. Select and your zero range and then. You're going to download that data onto this card you will extract the card from. The adapter place it into your binoculars and you are basically done with step 1 now i will tell you this is. A multi-step process it's not 1 2 3 then. What you would do is you're going to carefully read pages 40 through 46 in the instructional manual that it come. That comes with the binoculars and. You're going to start making your selections there the trajectory tables. Can be found at the rear of the booklet you're going to go there, and they have the curb angles for the bullet. They're in u.s. settings and european. Settings and you're also going to find your zero range they're mine is 100 yards that's what i selected specifically i selected us 4 because. That was the closest match to my bullet and that can be found on page 215 so. Basically what I'm saying here folks this is going to take time it works. Better if you have two people because one person can read the instructions off while the other person can look through the by nose as you select your program. Settings take your time this is not a. 1-2-3 step once you've completed that. Then i would recommend that you're going. To go to the range and you're going to do confirmation and verification of your impact points now let's talk about the. Advanced ballistic system that's contained within this within these. Binoculars this system is designed to. Provide you with a point a corrected point of impact that's another thing. That really made these shine over the. Other binoculars so what do these give. You well they give you the temperature they're going to give you the barometric pressure but more importantly they're to give you the angle of inclination so. If you're hunting out west or if you're hunting in the mountains no problem in. Short the only thing you have to worry about is the wind these binoculars will. Work with a standard plex reticle they. Will work as far as doing the. Traditional holdover if that's what you want to do you can use them what a b rh or bd see a bullet drop compensator or. Bullet drop compensating radical or ballistic terror and what i mean by that. Is let me move these back if you have a. Reticle that looks like this no problem if you have just standard flex reticle. No problem and if you have a ballistic terry they're also going to work with that so let's talk a little bit more. About their range they do go out to 2,000 at least that's what the specs say. They're up close ranging their up. Close ranging is 10 yards they're up close focus is 5 meters or 16.5 feet. Let's transition now and talk a little. But about some of the cons associated with this unit a minor con is that the. There they are a bit tight in the case i. Previously mentioned that they're a little difficult to extract but no problem if you remove the covers as well. Although that you can range out to 2,000. Yards the corrected ballistic values only go out to eight hundred seventy-five yards now if you use the. Custom settings you can get corrected ballistic values all the way out to a thousand yards now i will say that this is well beyond my range so if something is that far we're either going to be closing the distance or we're. Going to head back to camp for soup and sandwiches these binoculars are. Specifically designed for rifle hunting. And they are expensive i will say that. So if you're not a rifle hunter or more. Importantly if you're not a die-hard rifle hunter they may not be the best. Choice for you gave the hefty price tag. The level of sophistication in addition. The programming process is not one two three it does require careful reading and taking your time again this is a precise. Instrument and in my opinion you should. Take your time take it to the range verify and confirm your corrected impact. Points they are a bit heavy for neck. Carry but no problem if you're using a shoulder harness so to wrap up i will. Here some models, so we have the h-e-b the hdr and our model, and we are going. To start this debate off with a little bit of history about the giving like as. Always about history it's always about us first of all they are producing the knockers 400 in ten years they are one. Of the one of the producers which is considered to produce the best in others in the world and when we come to the range finding binoculars they are in the. Class of their own we could say first of. All they were the first company which introduced the range-finding binoculars and put them on the market the civil. Market the list and this was in 1992 so. This was the goe that was the. They came out with a mobile which is completely the same in all the functions but it's marked 3000 so the hdp 3000. That means it measures up to 3,000 yards so there is around 2000. Fifteen years so they increase the range. Of measurement in the mean time from. 2013 to 2018 until this three thousand dollars came out they have even two intermediates. Series they had two thousand to two. A Hundred addition so it was limited edition which had a range of two. A Thousand two hundred yards and then they. Have an addition 2017 which was cream. But basically it's the same product they. Only increase the measurement distance. The measurement range i think it's really worth pointing out as well that. Usually when it comes to laser range-finding binoculars the light transmission rate is lowered because of the integrated system but here with geog rids it's actually on quite a high level because of the time applying yeah prisms yeah and the presents really add enhance the life admission rate and generally also the field of video is great this is definitely one of the best. If not the best range value lockers on the market and normally it also carries. A really famous name of course so the jewelry is the most famous name. And nobody produces so many different versions of range-finding binoculars. Than like nobody everybody else has one. More maybe two months well i got has a bunch of different models with it. With a jewett are you have ate better. 42 and ten to forty-two then i have. Eight by fifty-six and 15 by fifty-six and these are able to measure up to two 1000 bahts over 300 yeah 1300 yards 1200. Meters and they do also give you the. Equivalent horizontal range then with an. Hdr 2700 they measure up to 2500 meters or two thousand seven hundred yards, and they. Have three models 8 by 40 to 10 but 42. And 8 by 56 like this one this is really. They're a little bit bigger not really. Bigger they are a little bit heavier than the 42 models, but they are better. The better in little life and they give you. Only the equivalent horizontal range similar like they are, but they have a. Much longer but they do have the. Temperature sensors yeah biometric sensors i had the angle. Inclined sensor yeah and but you can only see the reading you can see what the temperature is you can see the angle you can see the pressure it doesn't calculate you the whole ballistic curve this is what the hdb. Does the agent with us they it calculate exact number of clicks or. Holdover or gives you only that you. Land horizontal range but it takes into account your constant ballistic curve your actual ballistic. Curve so in hdr and hdb there are three. Models in both series 80 40 to ten to. Forty two and eight by fifty-six so the. Technology implemented in the hdr is perhaps it has the features that. Most hunters need today this would be enough for most i think this is probably the best buy you can buy it gives you the ehr so the cream on the horizontal range this is perhaps the most important thing but you need but this is the top. Of the i would say the top of the cake yeah it's its the best you can buy the. Difference between this and this is this one gives you click and hold over this. One gives you only the current horizontal range which this one can also give you can program that this one works the same as the hbo what about. The difference in the price here is its quite big i think it's like 500 or 600. Euros or something like that so you have to calculate whether it's worth giving additional 600 euros for the monkeys that you might not need yeah you have to calculate that i in my experience most. Of the customers goes for the hdb because it's the top of the line however the hdr it's the best buy in my opinion. Almost the best buy at least in my opinion because the advanced ballistic. Compensation functions basically that. You binoculars give you the whole dauber. And centimeters or inches or that binoculars give you the value in clicks depending on which what is the size of. One click on your rifle scope you can. Set this setting inside of the menu and. Then it gives you the clique number what. People do't don't need this to function so this is the reason why i think that hdr is best buy if i go to. Pricing we have three different licensed. Products everything starts at jewelry. Art which starts at around 1850 euros. And it goes to two thousand five hundred. Depending on the model so you have eight. By 42 is the cheapest then 10 by 42 it's a little bit more expensive than you have eight by fifty-six and fifteen by. Fifty six is the most expensive around two thousand faculty then if we look at. The hdr 2700 this goes from two thousand. Five hundred euros to two thousand nine hundred this 8 by 42 starts to run two. A Thousand five hundred euros 8 by 56 hdr. 2700 ends at around two thousand nine. A Hundred years and the hdb starts at around two thousand nine hundred and goes all the way to three thousand three hundred so it's not 1850 and it goes to. Two thousand five hundred three thousand three hundred euros in this range i think it's also important to mention that with hdr hv you also get the ocular. Coating which the the our model lacks. And also on the hdr htp you will find. Like as famous eyepieces which are i think one of the best this way styling with i can four. Different settings they can really be. Fixed in many positions, and they hold the position wisely once their face well. In essence within hdr and hdb with this. Corporate prison you also see that there. Haven't looked through any other pairs of binoculars and I'm like oh that's cool how much are these and you're like oh this is the price, and they're like are you serious because again there's no. Frame of reference these ice thierry. D-10 by 42 binoculars are great back. Here you have a nice big adjustment knob for your focus really comes in handy. And a half inches by five and a half inches weighs a little over 25 ounces. Not super heavy not super big kind of. That perfect size and depending on how you want to carry them it obviously comes with a strap you can go throw l in. There and let these guys rest or what i like to do i don't usually have the strap on there cuz i find it gets in the way and I'll just keep them right in front of my hill people gear kit bag. Really handy right there or if I'm driving around it's a lot easier too not. Have that strap hanging off of them when you're trying to pick them up from the center console something along those lines some other notable information. How much detail under low-light you can see the way they come to that is a. Formula it is the magnification multiplied times the objective diameter. Lens 42 millimeters then you get the. Square root of that which is about twenty point five what does this mean basically you can see pretty good detail. Even under low light that isn't in. Respect to how well these gathered light and i will say though they do a really good job and that's where that's where. You really get to appreciate binoculars any type of optic is kind of that wolf. Light before dawn after sunset like. Everything's kind of really dark lights going you can still see because with good. Optics they do a great job of gathering light these definitely do that and I'm really pleased with them investment you get yourself a good pair of binoculars you're gonna be using them for years and. Depending on how you want to carry them it also comes with a pretty cool kind of semi rigid hard case on the one side there's belt loops you can throw it on your belt slide it through webbing on your pack however you want to have it and zipper closure as well as this little magnetic top and when it opens it doesn't flop all the way up and so these things aren't going to tumble out smash themselves on some rocks pretty handy depending on how you want to carry it as far as the price point usually around four hundred dollars you can get them through amazon as well some other places but talk to the guys over at base camp. The main differences the orange color as you know this is the new hunting color we had an interesting saying on this. Years even that this is the orange is the new black in reality in hunting. Me it was not such a big surprise to see this binoculars in this color even though if you look from practical point of view we hunters we usually use orange. Color on driven hunts where there is no. Real need to measure the distance but. Still, the orange is nice and i would say. It's a new trend in hunting that people. Go with orange and i have to also be honest that this particular binoculars i will most probably use because they're of orange color apart from the. Color nothing really changed the biggest. Out in the field and the nice thing about it for me is the fact when i first saw this product we only had to add these two little what we like to call love humps underneath you know it really makes it just very ergonomically correct. In your hands and it enables you to still have a small comfortable binocular. That you have two tools your rangefinder and your binocular in one unit there's a couple of changes its available in 8 by. 42 and a 10 by 42 so it gives you that versatility but you're still getting all the things optically that you've come to expect with swarovski is you're getting full field of view with our twist in and. Twist out eye cups you're getting ability to set your diopter so for your individual eyes you're still getting that be able to clarify those binoculars and then the swarovski glass and the swarovski coatings are still there so the legendary warranty ruggedness is all. Still, there with this product but now instead of carrying a rangefinder and of an ocular you've got the two units in one and it's real easy to use you know. The buttons are all in a proximity you know you don't have to fumble around with it the overall the layout is. Awesome one of the nice things for me is the binocular is a little bit smaller so whether you're left-handed or right-handed you're still able to get to the button which is really easy we've got great lasers in here that. Gives you a very accurate readings and then also we've got what we call an inkling armor so it not only gives you the straight-line distance to the target if you're up in the hills and you're looking at a sheep that has you know a 20 or 30 degree angles it's gonna give you the actual shooting distance to the target so another great feature and that's one of the big things as so many people a long-distance shooting out there you know at three four hundred yards of 15 percent a 15 degree angle difference is going to make a big difference in your shooting again this is the e range range-finding binocular series. Now if you are following our videos this is not the third view of this product basically the first generation. Which was introduced in 2011 was the first which we did a review on then in. 2015 the second generation came out. Which is basically the same as this one and then know this year in 2018 in. March at eva in Nuremberg her swarovski have shown the orange version of the er. Range so the o range the putting shorts. The main differences the orange color as you know this is the new hunting color we had an interesting saying on this. Years even that this is the orange is the new black in reality in hunting. Community the orange is the new green i. Personally like orange very much so for. Me it was not such a big surprise to see this binoculars in this color even though if you look from practical point of view we hunters we usually use orange. Color on driven hunts where there is no. Real need to measure the distance but. Still, the orange is nice and i would say. It's a new trend in hunting that people. Go with orange and i have to also be honest that this particular binoculars i will most probably use because they're of orange color apart from the. Color nothing really changed the biggest. Change between the first and second generation was this convenience pack so. The new objective lens covers which are. Really nice and always stay attached to. The to the binoculars the new button for. The measurements and the new button on the other side for the settings and. Normally this is one of the biggest issues the new system how to attach the. Carrying strap to the binoculars this is. A big deal because. It is completely different than it was before so this system it's much nicer. Then but straps because it has a normal. Round carrying lines and it's basically. Just more useful it's a small thing but it makes a big difference when you are having it around your neck or shoulders. Laser range-finding binoculars are not equally good in terms of optical performance compared with normal binoculars probably this for off scale range come the closest this is the first. Reason the second reason is for all. Those who are searching for a really high quality product this is definitely. And the third option well the third. Group of people are those which are searching for something different because let's be honest there are no other premium producers of binoculars at. The moment in the world which would offer orange color and this is something. What a lot of people will lie including me they're really. Easy to recommend because of this high quality and i would also say that all the accessories they do make a. Difference when you're using them it is much better than the conventional accessories especially the carrying strap with these cords it's its. Completely different story because you never well when you try to understand it they never have to say, but they work. Better than normal straps what could be. Improved definitely some kind of. Ballistics and connectivity with let's say smartphones or something like that this would definitely be good in 2018 or. Let's say 2019 next year this would be a really refreshing upgrade because. Normally the world is becoming digital i. Also think that the range even though it's more than enough for all hunting purposes still as i would say two. Kilometers or even more would be more. Suitable for this class of binoculars. And the last thing which is a minor. Minor thing which i noticed is that this. Yellow range are a little bit more. (Expensive) than the green version i would say it's around 150 euros or something. Like that or 100 euros of difference and. This is something what i feel it's funny because let's be honest i don't believe that making an orange color housing. Costs 100 euros more. So you're basically charged 100 years. More just to be a little bit special compared to all others which are in green this is something I've well i think it's its funny everything else i. Would say this pair of binoculars is really worth buying with the binoculars. You also get a nice carrying pouch a smoke well a quick guide and normally. The user manual which is a really. Welcome to base binocular view in this video I'm going to be taking a look at most of the external features as well as the accessories that you get with this swanky slc 10 by 40 to binoculars for. And i have to apologize for the noise on. This video today as you can see them a mouse on a farm and there's some you. Now it's its hi i think they're preparing for the next year summer, so they do a lot of pruning of the nut trees behind me so there's a little background noise but and a surprise you. Have to sometimes pay for living in the country the ocular lens cover or rain. Guard is quite a lot different to that which i find on most other binoculars and that it's made from a hard plastic as opposed to quite often they're made from a soft rubber and has. A ratchet system as opposed to just a flexible rubber bridge and that allows you to match the distance of the. Eye cups over here to fit over the eye. Cups and no matter what setting you if you've set your binoculars to match the distance between your eyes and as with. Most of the accessories on these binoculars it's made very well it fits. Isin't securely over the actual the eye. Cups themselves and that shouldn't come away very easily by accident and the. Does an excellent job of protecting the. The lenses the objective lens covers are. Made from a soft rubber and it just looks far more robust and thicker than. What you get on most other binoculars like most butterflies however it fits. Over the ends of the barrels quite simply but the fit itself is really nice. And secure and thus shouldn't come away. By accident too easily, and they have a little tab on the top of it here that just makes it a bit simpler to you know. Flick it off what's really nice is the. The loop that you around the actual. Barrel of the binocular and that's you know when you're glossing you can just have the cover hanging down below the binocular and out of the way but always. Handy so that you can quickly and easily replace them when you finish glossing. And thus keep your you know important lenses and their coatings as protected as much as possible the rubber. Itself is quite a you know a tacky. Rubber in it and that it does attract quite a lot of dust and dirt as you i don't you can see on the video there you know. But you know that's a really small thing and what i do like about the style of. Cover is that you know should for any. Reason you not want your thing to be hanging around below the binocular bit you know it's quite easy for you to remove them and put them away in your bag and have a your binocular looking at. Have a lot of cleaner look to your binocular now should you wish the slc. Binocular itself has a fairly standard roof prism design in that the ocular. Lenses line up i spin in straight line with the objective lenses and slight. Differences that the they have a single. Bridge at the top which is quite thin and located I've quite a lot closer to. The actual eyepieces than the objective lenses this is you know i have a nice. Feeling to it and that it leaves quite a lot of this part of the bottom of the rear of the barrel exposed so that you know there's plenty to hold on to and when you're using your binocular or when you're just carrying them around single-handed like that you know there's. A lot of a lot of surface area to hold onto and you know have a nice secure grip on them if you're not carrying them around your neck with a neck strap or something like that the body itself is. Completely waterproof as you would. Expect another Nokia of this class and is filled with a dry gas which prevents. Internal fogging of the lenses and the rubberized covering on the one. The outside of the chassis is nice. And thick so it offers creature protection it has also put on really well you sometimes know on some. Binoculars i find that it moves about of it this is there's no such you know there's no chance of this happening on these this pair of binoculars the it as. You can see it has a fine texture on the. On the actual rubber armor itself this. Just adds a bit more grip to the you know to the actual rubber itself and. What it's also important to mention. Here is as well as protection this. Rubberized amo it provides them. A little bit of sounds you know sound dampening i guess you call it in that so for example if you had you know. Sometimes like my wedding ring and if you didn't have any rub again you knocked it against a metal chassis it would make a noise which you know could lead to you know freighting away some sort of timid birds or animals on top of that. It's a lot less reflective than it been. Then a metal exposed metal a barrel. Once again this helps cut down. Reflections which also could frighten. Away or give away your location should you need to remain hidden the two thumb. Indents underneath the feet the barrels. In a position nicely just know just there to just encourage you to hold the binocular in the right way and you know so that you get them nicely and balanced they feel really great in my hands you know all in all it's just a really nice looking binocular and let's finish it off really well the twist up. Eye cups on these binoculars are fantastic as you can see the housing. Itself is made from metal most. Binoculars or a lot of binoculars these days they have plastic ones and this is. A part of binocular that gets damaged the most often and used to be replaced. So the fact that they made from maple means that there's less chance of them being been broken you know should you drop your binocular or something like that but even if you were as you can see. They can actually be unscrewed and taken. Away which you know enter and replace should you need a replacement like that. Which you can actually do on a lot of binoculars the twist up mechanism itself. Is silky smooth is no one want to play. At all and they it just has a really. Really nice feeling to them with a full. 16 millimeters of eye relief on these 10. By 42 versions that should be more than enough for most people who wear glasses to be able to you know you test them down and get your eyes of the perfect distance behind the that echo ocular lenses so that you get the full field of view the another thing to mention over here. Is as long as the 60 bits as well as the 16 mils of viral 'if the their twist up. And down mechanism has indeed intermediate stuff like that so that it. Just gives you that much more flexibility to adjust them to suit your own personal you know don't wear your. Face works and if you're wearing glasses the distance that you need to get it right and even if that click stop wasn't. Quite right you could actually stop them at any point along fully extended and. Fully retracted position and so that you. Get your face exactly in the right position behind it focus really is located in the standards position on the centre of the binoculars most binoculars. It turns really nice and smoothly. Unlike some models that high-end. Models that have a metal focus wheel these are this is made from plastic and has a rubber coating on it so perhaps not quite as luxurious as you. Get on some having said that it does. Turn really nice and smoothly it's very smooth no unwanted play or movement and. You know so it works really well and to. Adjust your focus from near to far takes. As you can see here just over two full. Turns of that of the wheel this is quite a low gear mechanism in that to adjust. From near to far takes you know quite a lot of turning so thus a bit longer time than it would for a more aggressively gids mechanism the advantage of that being. Though that making small adjustments to your focus to get them to ashley spot-on and to view an image in incomplete i. Mean a clarity with the focus perfect. It's just that much easier because you know making small adjustments removes. The moves the focusing plane and lists us since we than a more aggressive. Gary. Unlike most binoculars that have their dietary adjustments located underneath the right eye cues to adjust your diopter on these binoculars basically. It's located within the central focus wheel and to engage it you click out the. Focus we like that early you can see it reveals a the scale and by turning that. You're now adjusting the rights the. Right side of the binocular independently of the left and thus by doing this you can compensate for any differences in the vision between your left and right eyes once you have it at the right setting you simply lock it back in place and get back to changing. The focus on both sides of the binocular at the same time i really like. The system in that for when it's its lockable so once you have your setting right and you fixed it you can kick it. Back in place and you're setting remains. You know will be the same forever and having them located on the right eye pcu. You know they can move and by mistake more often on top of that Sikorsky have. Printed a full scale over here oh if you. Can see that in the video over there and this is again there's something that you. No should you all you have to do is remember your setting so say it was at 2:00 and instead should it actually. Get removed moved by accident sorry or if you were sharing your binoculars who someone who helps has a different setting and say there was at zero at neutral and it's quite easy to just quickly turn it replaces it to your setting and turn it again and this is really good because most but most. Manufacturers seem to forget this, and they don't have any sort of scale so it should it move by accidental should you share your binocular you have to you know redo the test to make it line up. Again or make some sort of mark on your binocular i like the fact that the objective. Lenses and i hope you can see here I'll sit quite dp back from within the ends. Of the barrels and this means. That they're quite well protected by the barrel from you know from physical damage but as well from you know light rain for example or dusts where you know. It's just a bit less chance of falling and collecting onto the lenses this means that you know you. Should have to clean them less often and you know less cleaning means, and they. Potentially will last longer in an absolutely pristine condition the next. Step that you get with the slc is excellent and far superior to that of most other next steps that i come. Across frost odds it is really well-made. The sticking is you know as good as it. Gets see ya it's also nicely curved so that's. An you know designed so that it fits nicely over the back ear shoulders and your neck so fits really nicely so make it nice and comfortable on top of that as you can see plenty of padding out to. Make it really nice and comfortable this part of the neck strap over here has i. Don't know its kind of like a it's. Quit it's a very creepy grippy material which you know as well as being well. Padded it'll just stop it from slipping around in your neck so the actual neck strap itself that. Part of it is very good but in here. Here's the nice piece over here the way it attaches to the binocular is a little different than most and that I'll try. And show you over here instead of just reading it through and having one of those sliding adjustments over. Here has a little pin that fits through. The through the material like that and basically what you got to do. It's a bit fiddly to do i can do it quickly enough for you guys you take. It away like that on one side and you. Can thread your next step. Basically when you're touching it to the binocular then I'll just do this i won't. Do that i cup just well I'm just doing this for the video to make it quick as possible so you through that so you like that and you'd readjust the pin that put the pin back through the strap through the hole so there you go you can see. That the this is a really you know it fits really nicely and definitely won't come away and then it has a little. Cover that slides over the top like that make a look all nice and neat let me go. So as you can see that was pretty quick to do it's very secure and then. Because it has an over slider that you can adjust the length Sikorsky you then have created this. Little system over here where you actually have a click lock click like. That now that frees up the next strap to. Adjust the length to suit you. And then once it's the right length you lock it back in place and works. Really well and as i said this is one of the best neck straps that you can get out there and you know just. The nice fine details like that their logo their nipple logo put into the. Actual connector really well-made and. You know it's not something that you would specifically go out to buy a pair of binoculars for but it's its nice to see that they've you know spend a good amount of effort as well as money into making the extras and you know as good as it gets the included carry case that you get. With these binoculars is as with all the other accessories on these monitors superb as you see it is really well-made. And whilst ice particularly is a softer. Carry case i would probably go as hard sides a semi-rigid one and that it's you. Now it stays inflated with other binoculars in their office the villagers inside plenty of. Protection before opening them up I'll. Just go over the numerous ways that you. Can actually you know you carry them and. Before we put on the included strap. I don't know if you see over here there's a little place that you can hold. Him so you could actually carry them in your hands like that and you know it's. Really secure it's a you know something really small and if it's something that obviously someone's spend at some time thinking about should you not want to carry around your net anything you could just grab them and your hand like that and really nice way to hold it a little. Handle over there the more usual way to. Have it would be to be around your neck and as you can see on the backyard it is. Quick release clips and that the bag. Itself comes with its own strap which. Simply kicks into the into that one into. That and like that the strap has its own. Slider so you could just that the length of it and then within the case I'll show. You quickly we just open it up as a yeah. As the first time first for me. Is that a filled bag as a cause as. Opposed to a carry bag comes with its own instruction for operation manual and. That's basically because it's just showing you how to attach the strap to. The bag but then what's quite nice over there is that they show you that you can carry it around your neck like that or if you pull the strap a little tighter you can actually use it and carry it. Around your waist most bags i simply have a loop that. You can then thread a you know your belt if should you wear belt i mean I'm a guessing this in this instance you don't actually need a you know — haven't belt you can use the strap and that the case comes. With right so I'm to gain access to the. Interior of the bag as you can see is via these two zips run almost a. Full length of the bag zips are you know. They offer a really good way of ensuring. That it's completely closed and in a quite watertight put inside and the one thing that's you know on the downside to. This i guess is the knowledge that it. Makes the opening closes you know it is could be some instances where this noise. Leads to you frightening away a you know a potential sighting or something like that's why sometimes a clip or. Something at a magnetic clip and can be. Better but it's not quite as secure as. It is it you know you get some little features run away and like and effective. Zipper over here has you know a little. Leather you know thing over there so. That it just makes it a very small detail but just makes it easier to open and close you can see once again they've. They put they had the logo nicely on the front with in the bag you have a number. Of compartments and separate pockets. This is great for you know keeping you know personal items and you know lens cleaning kits etc and should you need to. It's a separate pocket over there and if we look at special plenty of. Padding and to protect the binoculars one thing that i will also like to just quickly mention is the bag caucus fit. Really nicely even with the neck strap into the bag and that's with the. Lens covers on as well and i can easily. Close it up i can't tell you how many. Bags are designed so tightly that it. Makes putting the binocular it in and out of egg a real painting you have to you know every time you know pack them away with precision to make sure that you can actually close the bag up and these it fits really nicely but you know. Not too tightly and that it makes it difficult to store your Oculus and if you're taking that i close in and out you know 100 times a. Day sometimes like i am it gets to. Be a real pain and just shut you if you have to struggle to do it every single time so there you have it a really good. Quality bag whilst you get a cleaning. Cloth with most pairs of binoculars these days almost none of them are of as. Good quality as the ones you get with these and I'll show you it comes in this. Little envelope here and the quality of. The actual cloth itself is superb and really as good as it gets it's a. Really fine microfiber material and that. You can use to clean the lenses and without too much fear of other than. Being scratched on top of that you're. Then given a way basically what they say. Is its a lens cleaning kit and well not. The whole kit to be honest but this is a. Disposable and a moist cloth that you can use for cleaning your lenses once and i mean after that i would highly. Recommend that you either get you don't have to get there the actual swanky lens cleaning kits although it would be nice but get a professional optics. Cleaning kit to clean the lenses properly without damaging any other coatings or the lenses so there you have it that's the quick rundown of the main external features as well as the accessories on these swanky soc 10 by 42 binoculars for the full review and. Which were revolutionary, and they have the reputation of being the best binoculars on the market and that for quite a long time now they were the first example of open bridge binoculars. Which meant that they could be used single-handedly another innovation was. Swarovski his implementation of field flattening which they named smart vision. And they managed to achieve a flat field of view and with it better at sharpness. Because of this more details could be. Seen when observing now the negative. Side was that the users often became nauseated especially when panic they became a. Great hit and were especially favored among bird watchers now sarov ski l. Binoculars were a must-have for all the. Professional bird watchers out there other brands could not compete with swarovski at that time now quite recently size and like managed to come. Up with an answer to that now this here. Magnification 42 millimeter objective lenses and the other model available is. Also 8 by 42 know what i also have to. Point out here is that here i have the black model leica also released an. Olive-green model that i have here which really looks nice the combination. Of olive green and black really goes well together and but optically it is. Completely the same now these are made. In germany and are quite heavy and are. Heavier than other similar binoculars with the same configurations these weigh around 900 grams they are 155 millimeters long. Approximately 125 millimeters wide which. Means that they are fairly common that. They're quite compact and given that they're equipped with 42 millimeter objective lens i would say they are great for mountain hunting and bird watchers they're also a perfect choice for those who want to have the most details when observing and the outstanding resolution that these binoculars offer will for example allow. Hey we're doing more than just jet hunting and getting in shape out here today we're also fielded testing the new. Like--it renovate binoculars you know in today's economy leica wanted to come to market with a product that was a great value without sacrificing on their. Top-quality german engineering, but we've all known for years and years I'll tell you in all the field testing we've done over the last few weeks i think they may have delivered with this new like a train of it. The like is a great company so to say that they know a little bit about high quality german optics would definitely be an understatement they made a big splash in the 80s with the first company to ever plug a laser rangefinder into a set of binocular also known as the g. Ovid guides and outfitters as well as sportsmen around the world have been carrying this product for over 25 years now and it's its still a big seller the. Other big product that kind of set the world lemons here with a dual of it the. Multi power binoculars either the 8 to 12 or the 10 by 15 power they were another fantastic product but i think. These new trent of its they're also gonna rate right up there with those you got top-quality german optics and engineering at an affordable price and. Pop that up you can adjust each eye independently once you get that done. Then you can focus on distance accordingly and actually usage and testing of the binoculars and low-light conditions has been fantastic i can see. Buffs and bowls and stuff out here well. Will be reviewing the as i said the 8 by. 32 model which i have right here in my. Hands it is made in like us factor in. Portugal now these were introduced in. 2017 and were actually an expansion of. Entry-level binoculars for bird watchers. Hikers and other wildlife and outdoor. Enthusiasts now these are not as good as. In twilight as the models with bigger objective lens but will perform just as. Good during the day as the models with objective lens diameter of 42 millimeters and foreign 4x4 binoculars. With objective lens diameter of 32. Millimeters they also perform fairly. Well in twilight they gather a. Surprising amount of light in low-light conditions and the advantage of these. This model over the model with 42. Millimeter objective lens is definitely in size these are really compact and. Lightweight they are 130 millimeters. Long and 100 and measure 117 millimeters. In width so when they're fully extended. Of course and because of these two features they can be stashed almost. Anywhere definitely a great companion. Especially for how hikers mountaineers. Let's talk a little bit about magnification so the eight times magnification is very universal it. Provides a decent field view better than. This is really a top-notch focusing. System you when you look through and rotate this focusing knob you'll see. That it's really done very well another. Thing is the build quality which is like. It is known for great focusing system and for great build quality these are. Really well-made the eye cups as well. The eye cups are rare really good. And they really stay in place are really comfortable to put your eyes on and your. Head will rest really nicely on them they can also be nicely adjusted so very. Very good eye cups now what could be. Improved the first one is that the central and add sharpness is that a. Good level but not at a great level and. For leica binoculars we perhaps expect a. Little bit better central and add sharpness then it then. With these binoculars so optically it. Could be a little bit better the we are. Also not that happy about this bag so it. Is not really that handy and quite difficult to start the binoculars in. Could perhaps be a little bit different shape so it would be easier to start the. Binoculars and carry them around and the. Third thing is the field of view so 124. Meters on 1,000 meters he's a decent. Field of view but still and not as good. As could be so this is basically if I've. To get a little bit dusky outside of course the low-light performance cannot be compared with like binoculars that have bigger objective diameters in. Comparison to models with for example 42. Millimeter objective lens these are way. More compact and can be stashed almost. Anywhere in a bag even in some. Pockets so they really can they really. Make a good companion the size is the biggest advantage of compact beam binoculars as i said this. Is a great companion especially for. Those who like to go into the mountains and for bird watchers as well and even. For some hunters who hunt during daytime. This small here as the as i said a 10 by. 32 model it retails for around 900 euros. You will find the 8 by 32 model on the. Market for approximately 450 euros less. So for 850 euros what a lesson let's say. Something about the 10 times magnification so the 10 times magnification is great for those who want details when observing and in comparison to the 8 times magnification binoculars these will have a smaller. Field of view naturally because of the bigger magnification the handshaking. Will also be more noticeable however you. Will see more details and this is. Usually a feature that bird watchers are looking for or those who would like to for example observe things in greater. Detail they feature a rubber. Armoring it makes them non slippery it. High contrast and ten times magnification plenty of details can be. Seen now optically these binoculars are quite good but there of course is still. Room for improvement there is a. Water-resistant and dirt repellent coating on the surface of the lenses. Which is also a nice addition by leica the field of view is 130 meters on 1,000. Meters this is a average field of view so still room for improvement as regards. The the eye cups they are adjustable. Of course and what's really nice is they. Can really be fixed in many positions also it is important to note. And to point out that like as eyepieces. Are really outstanding they never fail. To amaze i think that these are really. Well made i cups as well as the whole. Build quality so the whole package is of high quality the eye cups are of. Course rubberized and resting on the. Eyes on them is a pleasant experience as. You can see they will also stay in place and will not move unless rotated very. Nice so the diopter setting is as is classic. Located on the right are cooler right. Beneath it there is a mono bridge in the. Middle the focusing knob is very large. And easy to access with both index and middle finger or both the surface as well. Allows you to get a firm grip and makes. The rotation easy it's really nice and. Really nice to the touch so and even the. Focusing system works really well and. This is of course nothing new from leica. Now as regards the scope of the livery. You already know is that you this neoprene bag we like a logo okay it. Has a brownish greenish color so this. End of this short review and now i think. It's time to enumerate some advantages and disadvantages let's start with the. Points the most important point i. Think is the build quality of these binoculars these are really well-made. You can when you hold when you get ahold of them you can see that everything. Works really smoothly the eyepiece is the focusing system the bridge is nicely made so build quality is definitely. Expect exceptional with these binoculars. I also have to point out how great. The eyepieces are this is nothing new. From like of course and so the focusing. System overall the build quality is very great what could be improved perhaps is. The optical quality these are don't get. Me wrong these are very decent optically, but they could offer perhaps a little. With more of optical quality for the. Price and judging that they're from like. They could have been optically a little bit better I'm also going to point out. The average fill the views with 130 meters. Okay so i want to give my impression of. Two pairs of binoculars that i had bought that you see in the foreground. These are 10 by 25 Oculus that are the. Bass pro brand and this is a pair of 8. By 25 source keys and the source keys. Are made in austria the bass pro brand. The Oculus is made in china now i wanted. Something smaller than the two that you. See in the background these are a pair. An excellent pair that i use for astronomy these are fuji nines 7 by 50s beautiful. Pair of binoculars and by the way fujinon makes the largest binoculars in. The world there are 150 millimeters. Which is 6 inch diameter lenses so the lenses 6 inches to 6 inch diameter. Lenses and then the other pair that i. Have back here i bought our 8 by 40 2s. And they're leopold's, and they're very nice for what they are and but i wanted something smaller that. I could carry with me obviously these things are huge they're heavy and i use. These mostly for astronomy and these other ones are nice too they're small but i just wanted something that's even smaller as you can see here i wanted. Something that was almost you know just. Made for the pocket something that you could carry and almost be out of the way. Ok I'm going to get the weight of these announces the first pair is going to be. The Oculus 10 by 25 now they come in. Excuse me in about 8.4 ounces now the iq. Lists are made in china okay they're. Made in china they're 150 dollars at. Bass pro and again they are the bass. Pearl brand now the saguaros keys. They are made in austria they are $819. For that pair those are 8 by 25 now i do. Realize that i should have done had two. Of the same pair okay but the problem is. Bass pro in perrysburg did have a pair. Of source keys that were 10 by 25. Problem is when i got them home they had. All kinds of white dots all kinds of little i don't know what it was dirt little specks all over and even over on the objective end here and. The ten by twenty fives actually are. They were eight hundred and eighty dollars so the ten by twenty-five works. Is where 880 versus ten by twenty-five sr. 819 and there's no way in hell i was going to keep them i did cause the worse key they had no idea what it was so i. Just returned them so in any event i did. Take a look at the ten by twenty fives in the store though we evaluated them. But so i just wanted to make that note. Okay here's some general impressions between the two the both pair i thought. Had real nice tension between the two. Halves at fold now the reason they do that I'm almost assuming is because to make them small most binoculars fold in. The center but that dominate fold that. Be too big and wide so by doing it and the edges like this to get them more compact but both pair i felt had been. Very nice the edge does go to the source. Keys they feel better but nothing objection about the other on the. Focusing really had big problems with. Then personally with me with the focusing on the Oculus okay I'm used to. Then either being in the center or here closer and what happened for me at least is when I'm trying to focus i always found myself having to move my down here to focus it was just awkward. Not something that was insurmountable but i just found them awkward whereas. The source keys are right up here they. Were beautiful just nice they were very intuitive you. Placed them just right i felt comfortable now the diopter adjustments. To correct on both pair the adapter adjustment will be for the right side and that calibrates if you're if you're. Both eyes or if one is different than the other you first focus i always close. My right eye focus with a left i close. My left eye once focus open up my right and then you turn the die after adjustment and when the focus is good. Then both sides are calibrated to each. Eye so i thought that the dr. adjustment. Which is up here was finders i had no problems with it had a very good tension. Not too tight not too loose it does have a plus and minus here and it's got a. Little arrow at the zero point. But the diopter adjustment was. Spectacular on the sorceries it's that. Little button down here now in this case. — you couldn't bunk that so don't get me wrong you wouldn't be able to pump that those are good i really liked it down here though and you can get to them you. Now you just once adjusted you couldn't. Get to them from the bottom so when you're using them you couldn't bump them so i really liked that i thought that. Was a nice feature the other thing is. They both have eye cups that are adjustable now with the iq list they. Have kind of two settings up here. Then they have a little where they click. Stop there i found that to be nice the. Source keys on the other hand they just. Went up and down very smooth with no issues okay. So if we take the binoculars and fold. Then up these silver skis are just a. Hair taller not much just a bit taller. They are thicker this or skis are thicker, or they're a bit thicker and the. Skis are a bit wider again they're both. Excellent binoculars if you want something portable as far as size wise they're both they're both very nice so. Now you're looking at the eyepiece end. And the objectives and of these. And both optics are coated but both. Binoculars have coated optics. Okay now i wear eyeglasses and i have to. Have eye pieces that have a good length. Of eye relief and so i relief is the. Distance it's a fixed distance from the eyepiece lens to where the exit pupil okay from the eye lens the front through. The exit pupil where it forms an image so I'm just going to put my pen here now. This is exaggerated but you know so you. Could have high relief and again this is exaggerated so say 18 millimeters which. Is a good eye relief and then it could be out here to work and that's where your eye has to be placed it'll never be that far but I'm just trying to give an example so you could have i believe that is only several millimeters which means if you get glasses you're going to vignette and you're not going to see the whole field of view and that's extremely annoying so with my glasses. These are perfect I've read am half of. Both pairs that have excellent eye relief so there're no issues with either one of them and if you want to control. Where they set so when you put them on so if you want to control how the where. They're positioned that's when you can use your eye cup to where if you want to. Put your glasses right on the shield. Bargain i really think they're nice doesn't you know now the source is. On the other hand the 10 by 25 s that i. Saw at bass pro the demos obviously for. $880 i would have to say that they were the. Better the better between the two if you. Weren't looking at the money and in this. Particular case i wish i could have made. A pair of eight by 25 because that's. Really what i prefer to have i really want the 8 by 25 and so to make a long. Story short I'll be returning to 10 by. 25 for me hand-holding is also much. Nicer a little easier to handhold over. Like that and they're very nice they fit. In here real nice too they're not too snug they come out very easy. So in closing if you don't want to spend. A lot of money I'm going to tell you the Oculus is a hell of a buy because when it all comes down to you can always get a different case for it but the image wise i was very happy with. It very happy with the Oculus i mean they're very nice and what can i. Say about the source keys i just think they were top match in every respect so. Hey what's up guys today i got a review on some binoculars these are the cabala's compact 12 by 25 intensity hd. Binoculars stick around and we'll see a. Little further so i want to propel is the other day for the intent of looking for binoculars that are small still have plenty of zoom, and they also have a good. Picture and this is what i found first. We'll go ahead and start here show you guys how small these get it's a cabala's. They call it the hd intensity binoculars. Very small you could fit that inside. Your pocket one thing that came with is. This carry case here very nice very nicely padded it's pretty. Durable it seems like I'd definitely be putting those in there it also came with cover caps and i already took those off. They fit really snug but i just for what. I use it for i don't really need them all right i don't like them i should say so the next thing I'll show you here is the focus knob it's a very low-profile. It's its great for when you don't have gloves on but when you do it's a little hard to find because it's so low profile, and then they also have the focus right here that's very low-profile as well i do like this fact that way you're not. Gonna be able to bump it that much or as much as what you would with bigger ones but um if like i said if you're wearing. Gloves or something like yeah it's a little hard to find just because it's its flush with this bottom part here the brace in the middle next thing i want to talk about is the eye relief turrets i think they call these eye cups so right here I'll go ahead and take them out they don't come out too much but it's perfect for looking through the lens they're real sturdy right now. They are anyways they're not broken in or anything like that, and they work out really well so one. Think i don't like about these binoculars is these straps they're very. Flimsy it seems like really cheesy I'm. Not a big fan its kind of it was kind of hard to get them to feed through right here these little eyelets and then also the clips on here really cheesy. I mean they're they're pretty thin plastic it seems like and if you pull on it enough it will slide down i actually did have one fall out while i was hunting and i had to wait till i got back to put it back together because it's that hard to feed it through here especially in the cold so these came in at a price right around one hundred and eighty dollars before tax probably a little overpriced. For what they are it's their only twelve by twenty-five s like i said but um they're hd i mean it shows a really good picture and i actually took a video a couple weeks ago. Of these are of the with the camera. Inside of the lens so you can really you could get a good look and even through.
