It will find adjust 1/32 of an inch just under two thousandths of an inch adjustment per click, so we've also gone in. And we've designed an anti backlash system so. It takes out all the slop in the screw itself. You have a really precise tight tolerance precision micro just rest by far the. Most quality on the market today so. When you're Sol UNAM at home. And I'm paper tuning or.

Whatever I can dial. This in precisely for wind age. And elevation that's right. This is definitely for your archer. You know the high-end archer. That wants something that's very high in quality. hey everybody. This PJ Riley from Lancaster archery got a product video for you today. What we're going to talk to. You about is the qad ultra rest m xt awesome rest from qad. That we're glad to have here at Lancaster archery you're probably familiar with the qad ultra rest it's been around for years. This has the same basic principles of the ultra rest but it's new. And improved got some upgraded features on. It first off this is a full containment rest which means. When your arrow is seated in the rest. It can't fall out it's completely enclosed. If you're a bow hunter. You don't have to worry about leaning left. Or right target archers. You don't to worry about the wind blowing your air out your air is in there. And it's secure this is a drop away rest which means. When your arrow is released from the string the rest actually drops away so. You can see that drops out of the way. That way it reduces. Any friction problems.

You may have sliding across the rest. It just drops out in its out-of-the-way. This is actually an inertia rest which means. This in the up position. Iload my arrow bring the rest up it's locked in there. Ican draw back and set down. And the rest doesn't move. What it is actually the inertia of. Me releasing the string that's. What causes it to go down so that's really handy. Some new features of. This rest the MXT you notice here the capture bar. This is higher than other capture bars have been on the ultra rest so. If you're shooting high-profile veins blazers you're not going to have to worry about fletching contact. This is going to arc up over the top.

And then the key features of the MXT are. This is a micro adjustable rest you'll see we've got. Some laser etched markings on the top. And the side of the. What these are for are your wind age. And elevation there's going to be two set screws. One here so. This set screw right here is for my wind age left. And right so I would just loosen. And then I can turn. This dial right here to move. That let rest left or right. You can see here it is moving and. You notice I'm turning a lot what's great about. It is micro adjustable. Each click moves this rest just a tiny bit so. You can really get your Center shot dialed in with.

This micro adjustment again. One here is for wind age top. One is for elevation also with the new MXT. They have given more wind age adjustments left. And right what that's meant to do is to the old rests. You needed a spacer for some wide riser bows like the new Matthews the Halen's that's got a really wide riser. You would need to add a spacer to the rest to be able to have enough right. Or left adjustment this one's got plenty no need for a spacer also your draw cord so. What ties in to your to the down cable on your bow. You draw back that's going to pull. That backwards release the rest. Some people these cords get damaged. They have to be replaced.

Hey guys I care for Mike's outdoors calm I'm here today to show. You the new limb driven rest from trophy Ridge. This is the new h XL we're going to show. This thing works we'll give. You a little look at. You can see the cord going down to the limb. That can also go to your up cable but. It attached to my limb really quality built sight. Or arrest and really easy to set up that's. One of the things I like the. Most about it to set. This thing up you're going to have. Some hardware that's going to come with. It you're going to take. This little deal right here I'm going to put. It there about two inches from the. It from your axle and you're going to run your cable down here you're going to tie. It just like a D loop. You don't have a tie to. You loop knot you can check out my video on Thailand dilute nuts. You can find another. One there's ton of videos out there you're going to set. It up tie it up just like a deal. If not you're going to come up here. And with the rest in a down position you're going to see there's going to be a little set screw right here with the rest in the down position you're going to take your cord you're going to run. It rights around neck. That rare that round.

That the set screw you're going to tighten. That thing up you're going to pull your cord talk you're not going to pull the thing super tight just enough to keep. That rest down and that's. It that's you got to do to set. This thing up now before. That set your elevation set your left right so. You don't have to go back. And read time to think but that's basically. This thing works is as. You draw back your limb actually moves up. It allows we're going to show. This in a second but. It allows the rest to come up. It raises your arrow up as. You shoot the rest goes back into position. It actually pops the rest back down. One of the advantages to. This type of rest is. It actually holds your arrow longer. It actually cradles your arrow longer. And allows better stability.

And better flight the first concern. Ihad with this rest was clearance is looking at the things got flipper on the side. And just looking at. Ithought I was gonna have clearance issues but. It mounted up on my bear arena here I'm sorry not my bear into my bear escape. Ihave had zero problems with getting this thing to clear mount my rest / mount my arrow with the car train up just like. And I've had absolutely no clearance problems with. This rest we're hitting there. Anything if you do have clearance problems. You can actually take two bolts off here take. This arm off and as a replaceable unit right here. You can put right there. And put the two bolts right back into place but I've had zero clearance issues with. This thing it has elevation adjustment on the side. It has left and right adjustment on the side really quick really easy to set up really solid built through. This thing is made out of nice machined aluminum.

And just a really solid built rest. And just really easy to set up. And really easy to time. It has the vertical the trophy ribs vertical drop technology which. We talked about this is made out of 6061 aluminum so made of a solid aluminum. It is really nice really good. And well-made limb driven design. You can do the bottom limb. You can do it to your up cable. One 100% arrow-containment. You can see there it comes with a grabber on the front which will actually pop right up out of there as. You raise this up so there're no issues with. It with the arrow moving around the only problem. Ihave is getting that grabber to stick get. Nothing to stick your clean. This thing off with alcohol. It sticks you really got to press. And really give it some time to get stuck.

It stuck you're going to be able to use. It just like. Ishowed you here it's kind of it's going to work out. This point for you this has a bearing inside. This as a linear driven linear bearing provides smooth silent operation we're going to shoot. This thing and you'll see. It does have a very smooth operation. You can see inside here. You can see this thing comes up. And goes down it works awesome. It is absolutely as quiet as can be. You shoot it so we're going to take. It out we're going to set up the camera we're going to focus the camera in on. And do a little bit shooting with. That you're going to find this is a very good wrist.

And it's very easy to set up. And very easy to time okay we're going to show. You the h XL in action try our best to capture. You can see as I draw the bow back the rest is going to come up. And lift the arrow up. Ishoot it's going to come down. And allow the arrow to clear yeah. You okay so you can see there. This thing operates. It operates smooth operates quiet. And I'm really impressed with. This I've never been a real big fan of limb driven arrests but. One worked great it worked fantastic. II don't have nothing but good things to say about. If you're not a Bose technician you're not a bo Smith. You don't have tools at home. You can set this rest up. If you're not a guy who's experienced in setting up a lot of rests. And timing a lot of rest. You can set this rest up. It is absolutely easy to set up easy to time. And it's built like a rock. And works fantastic. Ihave had zero clearance issues with. This rest I put on. This bow it up as far as my left.

And right my up and down. And timed I was shooting and. It worked out fantastic so. This is the new xhl limb driven rest from trophy ridge highly recommended absolutely fantastic little rest. And I'm blown away with. How much it considering it's a limb driven dress. II really have had. Nothing but bad luck. Idon't lend urban rests in the past. This is definitely a quality rest. Hey archery talk this is Lucas. And today I'm here to offer my long-term review on the trophy taker Smackdown pro click arrow rest which. You can see here mounted on my obsession fixation 6 XP test bow. You might be familiar with the trophy take your line of era rests already they've got they've got a pretty deep line of limb Griffin. And cable driven rests the Smackdown line is. All limb driven I have actually owned a regular Smackdown Pro before which really the only main difference between. That and this particular arrest are the clicks so. Whereas the regular Smackdown Pro. You lose some things with an allen key. And then and then you're gonna gradually move things over left to right. Or up and down this. One you just use the clicker. And you can move it. One click at a time is make really my new changes. It does make things for me a little bit simpler to make changes especially.

When you're first setting up a bow. And as I set up a bunch of different bows that's super helpful for me so. This is again this bow. Ithink retails for about a hundred. And forty dollars which is only about a twenty dollar up targe. Or so over the non clip version so for me that's really a no-brainer. Some other companies have kind of clicked rests which are significantly. More expensive than their non click version so trophy taker did a nice job. And keeping the price points fairly similar so for. That 20 bucks for me. Ithink this is a no brainer just for the ease of use. It has got vertical. And horizontal micro clip adjustment. All done very easily. This bow though this air arrest is. One of my favorites I've been I've had I'm not tested. Everyone out there the Smackdown Pro has been my favorite to have. It on the very first hunting mode ever had.

And I've got it on. This one right now which. It just it's just a great functional air arrest again. Most of them will do every. One I like the idea of a limb driven rust in general. Ijust find there's just. It feels like there's less. That can go wrong then can on a cable driven rest not. That I've ever had any major issues with a cable driven rest before. Either but Linderman is kind of the way. Iprefer to go the only downside is. If you're into that kind of thing is the is. When you draw back. This bow and let down. These the arms of the stay does not stay up. It will go down as you as. You let on the boat the good news is. That this arrest has a bit of a cradle here on the Shelf of the bow which will hold onto the arrow.

When you let down and kind of keep things quiet. You do have to let down fairly smooth as. You can end up off of. That and it could make a little bit of noise so. You might want to put. Some soft tape on. This on the top of your shelf. Or something like that just so you're not gonna hear a lot of carbon on metal rattling around in a hunting situation but. If you do let down carefully it'll go a little. And comfortably in that little cradle without. Any problems at least for me so far. Another thing I like about the trophy taker Smackdown pro click is he's got multiple entry points to low narrow through. You can come into the side there's a little flap. That folds down lets. You slide your arrow in are. You can come in from the front of the back. Whatever you like to do. This rest and then it's fully contained as well so there's a the.

If you get in a weird position. Where you shake your bow the arrow is not gonna flop outside of. This containment ring which is kind of nice as for setting up in tuning this bow with. This arrow rest just the other week a week ago. Ishot a video or actually tried to see. How much of duct tape. Ican shoot an arrow through check the video for. That super important stuff we're doing here. Ihad to set up for brought in specifically so. Ihad just had said. This bow set up for field points which was already shooting great. Ihad to make a few small changes really. It was mostly just a little bit of vertical change two. Or three clicks up I had to come on. This rest and then. Ihad my broad heads. And my field points bang on against. Each other I was able to shoot the table at. Any issue and so it just makes. It easy to use the clicks like. That what I why I like. It is if when you're sending up bows.

If you're a person who likes to take careful notes. You can make changes on here. And keep really easy track of them so. If you've gone up three clicks. And gone left three clicks. You can write those down. And then later on if. You find I may be gone a little too far out for a little too far left I'm going to come down. One I'm gonna come back right -. And you can just keep tracking your notes. And having those individual clicks like. That makes that a lot easier at least for me beyond. That the rest functions as. Iwould hope any rest does as. Isaid a like a limb driven rest. And know again this is just a personal preference. Any cable different rest is just fine as well but just for me balloon driven rest is never failed. You guys a little bit about the trophy taker Smackdown pro arrow rest a little history I've been shooting trophy taker since about 2000 buddy mine had an archery shop here in town. He called and he's like dude. These new rests in. You got to come over. And check them out so. Iwent over and shot. And later on I left the shop with. One of them on my boat the accuracy gains. It just shot my confidence through the roof. You know and so I've never shot. Anything since I fooled around with a. Few other fall away rests over the years of new companies. That came out try something out but. You know bottom line is I've always come back to the trophy takers. And so the reasons I do come back the trophy taker no matter. What are real simple. They are tough absolutely tough I've never had. Anything falls apart on. One of the rests I mean that's that's a big thing tough they're super accurate. And super easy to set up. And shoot the Smackdown Pro. That I'm shooting now. It on last year and I'd actually never shot a limb driven rest before so. Iwas really impressed with. How easy it was to set up. And there wasn't it wasn't a timing thing. Ihad to do to deal with like. You do with any of the other style rests that's are hooked into the downward bus cable. You know it requires a cable to actually raise the launcher. And raise your arrow up. This design was the exact opposite.

It just worked off the force of your limbs going back to their wrist resting state so. It was a swim I set up real quick. This is the Smackdown Pro rest. All black it's got your wind age. And elevation adjustments micro adjust rubberized design rubber on the bottom rubber on the top the hole full containment area is. All rubber so you load up an arrow. Imean it's just whisper quiet. You go through one little spot here slide side load but no noise so that's really cool. That has made the whole design absolutely quiet after the shot the other thing is the prong is as solid as. Anything — simple smooth as butter super quiet stupid quiet. Imean it's ridiculous. How quiet and just accurate. And consistent every single time. This stretched on one time. Idid was have to lose. Some set screw right down here loosened up the set screw pulled. It up a little bit tighter.

This would be our limb driver Pro V it's very popular s spent out there for a long time. We won the Readers Choice goal to work for. This year again there's a limit ribbon rest obviously there's a lot of those out there. We pioneered that technology. And everyone's kind of. You know catching on. Now finally it's taking a lot of years but everyone's kind of seen as a proven technology. Some herbs kind of jumping on board with. That with Art land driver Pro V it's. All machined aluminum there's no plastic parts. Anything it like that it's. All made in the USA locally. You know it's its a very bulletproof. We don't put a lot of bells. And whistles in they can fail so. You know a lot of your extreme hunters use them. They don't have to worry about them. They know if they do. Something do them in the field. They can fix it themselves. You know you don't need a boat press to fix them. You can fix you know two. Or three minutes you can have. And running if you happen to fall. And Bend something you can. I can install one of these in less. Then five minutes and it's very simple there's not a lot of.

You know that can go wrong with. Some features of. It would be you know like it's a it's a free-floating head basically it's not held in a rigid position so. That does for is it very forgiving it longer ranges so. You know anybody can get. It rests to shoot good at ten twenty thirty yards it's the longer ranges. You really start seeing accuracy improvement. It has a lot of forgiveness in. You have a little hand torque out there. You know you got a antelope at 65 yards. And you're kind of leaning in the blind. You know that can actually clean up. Some of your inconsistencies in your shot cycle so it's very forgiving rest on a solid platform. That can go wrong with. We don't put any things. That can lock up or fail. Any types of gears anything like. That can wear out over time. It can't freeze up in cold weather we've got Molly code in there as a lubricant which keeps. Us viscosity tuned about a hundred. And ninety below zero so.

You know it's very solid rest. We do very well with. That's pretty much. These rests been awesome for us. We have a new prototype coming out for a new rest that'll be on. This platform that will be 100% full capture. This is about 90 percent whole capture it'll be a hundred percent full capture rubber over oval mold cage.
