Good scenario so having this is going to make a big difference for people its ultimate comfort when they are climbing and not using it with their skis and you. Funny-looking thing it's got fully dinner fit compatible pin binding. Inserts I've gone for a vibram rubber on there so it's got a plastic shell but the upper this is actually the shell here this is just a nylon cuff really lightweight cup but unzips to reveal the. Aligner inside this is the light liner. This is the most sort of agile. Compromise between lightweight flexibility and ski touring and ability uphill from ounce an earring but also giving enough support for the downhill performance you can get a support liner that's a much beefier thing with a much more supportive tongue to upgrade the. Is a new boot from technical it weighs in at 1524 grams are three point three six pounds and that's for the size twenty-six and a half so a relatively lightweight boot considering it's a four buckle overlap construction boot comes in different sizes twenty-two and a half to thirty and a half in half sizing all the way up and it's got a. Really respectable cuff rotation of 44 degrees given that it is an overlap construction boot the flex is rated at. 130 feels more like a 120 when you're skiing in the boot however and it's built on a ninety-nine millimeter laughs so the special things about the new. Zero-g guide pro are cas shell you can. See in the shell along the front here. And the side as well as the other side in two locations as well that it's got these dimples built into the shell basically these are the location of problem areas for people when their boot fitting so with this the dimples in the shell you've got less surface tension so it's easier punch out for the boot fitters the shell is made out of a by. Injected triax 3 which is said to be 30%. Thinner than traditional materials 18%. Lighter and two and a half times stiffer and this is a fairly stiff boot at 120. Considering that it's a alpine slash touring boot the liner itself is a heat. Foldable blue liner and it's got some. Good shin support there's actually a velcro add-on that you can add in that i ski with and it's got minimal seams as. Well it's also very light a very warm liner I've been skiing this. Boot in the last few weeks it's been -20 at the hill and my toes were getting. Cold but not as cold as i should have given the temperatures so it's very thick comfortable liner and almost too warm on warm days but nice on the colder days the cuff is made out of a light. Grid triax 3 and it's got strategic. Cutouts in the cuff itself so it will be the power strap get in here and have a. Look at it. So you can see these strategic cutouts here in the cuff and that again lightens. Up the shell overall the other thing to. Note about the zero-g guide pro is it's. Got replaceable sol blocks it's also got. Tech fittings so you can use them with tech bindings for touring and one of the coolest features that i love is the lift lock buckles so when you're buckling. Your boot unbuckling your boot traditionally these get relaxed on always when you're trying. To take the boot off but if you just pull the buckles back you can see that they flip back and out of the way and then when you're ready to buckle up again you just pull them in and away you go so lots of cool little features overall. I've been skiing this boot for the last few weeks and I've been skiing at the. Resort it's a great resort boot fairly light nice walk mode on the back here to go to walk and ski mode very easy to do. So you can walk around the resort and also to go touring in it you know it's not the lightest touring boat out there but it can tour and it really does well at the resort so it's kind of crossover boot for both aspects of skiing and I've been skiing this for a few weeks and been really happy with it the fit in the comfort nice stiff boot for the hill and it can still tour which is a good feature so gives you that versatility of skiing half-day the resort half-day in the back country it. Also comes in a zero-g guide the non pro. Version that comes in a 110 flex and it's 1700 grams so a little bit lighter but it's also a little bit cheaper at $660 and it also is available for women. So this version the pro version the zero. G guide pro is $900 u.s. so a little bit. More expensive than the non pro version but you will have some weight savings so. Overall great fitting boot nice warm liners stiff good for resort skiing and. It can also tour as well it's gonna be beefy for people that like a stiffer boot at the resort and still light enough with a respectable walk mode for people that want to go touring occasionally on it overall if you're. Bring it nice and tight which makes it easier for walking obviously the. Attachment for the helmet can go on here as well there's also a strap here for ice axes, and they've also included both. A diagonal and a vertical and ski strap. Holders so depending on whether you. Prefer to have them diagonal not complete personal preference but you're not limited to one way with this backpack comes in at just. 850 grams so it's on its own with plenty of space it still. Shouldn't be too heavy by the time you filled it's a very comfortable backpack thanks to the padding that you. Can see on the back and on the side straps and on the shoulder straps so if. You are going quite far away it's going to be a really comfortable backpack it's available from many retailers including. This is a quick review of auto boxes free-rider 26 back country backpack which. I'm having to return to the supplier after only two days use due to been dissatisfied with the quality and having safety concerns the first problem comes. With how you secure the snowboard. Vertically using these upper and lower. Fastening straps its difficult to cinch. Tight these straps once they are. Fastened you have rather you have to put. The snowboard on attach the straps then. If there's any slack undo the straps take your best guess on how tight they should be reattached them hopefully by the third time the board will be secure. Enough but that's kind of redundant. Because after only 20 minutes whether you're just walking or hiking the board. Those straps start to come loose and the. Board starts swaying left and right the. Second problem i found was with the helmet net once the board is secured. Vertically you can then you then have the option of securing the helmet net above that the problem lies in two areas. The first is with these brittle plastic. Clips on each corner of the net that. Used to go into the upper and lower. Loops with the snowboard in place these loops sits inset beneath the snowboard. So these clips have to stretch around. And attach into those loops which puts a. Lot of pressure on this inferior plastic. And then the second problem is with the. Lower loop material themselves they. Don't seem to have taken into account that snowboards have edges sharp edges at that and already after only a few. Hours hiking this material has already started to fray and will eventually fail. I imagine on the second day of my hike i. Was about thirty minutes from the peak. Suddenly i hear my snowboard helmet falling down into a bowl beneath me. Because one of these clips broke i then. Had to get on my snowboard to take a line i didn't particularly want to take to retrieve the helmet which was. Something i would consider unsafe the. Third problem was with the stitching. Already on day to the left the right. Hand strap lower strap used to secure. The snowboard the stitching has already. Started to come away it hasn't happened on the opposite side yet but I'm sure it's just a matter of time other than that the navigate compartment is nice and roomy roomier than other packs I've. Reviewed the spine protector. Although adequate could really be extended beneath and above to it to. Protect other parts of the spine the. Waist chest and arm straps are all very. Good but i wouldn't really recommend buying this pack as it just doesn't seem to have been field-tested or despite the. High price bracket and the various. Endorsements and reviews thanks.

Year's f1 evo boot they had some issues. With the auto lock mechanism on the back, so they've taken that out and this year they are bringing to market just the scarp f1 no more evil so this is a. Dedicated super light turn boot it's only. Got one buckle as you can see and the boa system down on the forefront it weighs in at twelve hundred and thirty grams or two pounds 11 ounces and that's for half pair size 27 this is a 27 and a. Half boot here the reason it's so light is it uses a plenum id shell and cuff. With a carbon core technology and this carbon core provides the torsional rigidity you need in a boot that's this light so as i mentioned before there is. Only one top buckle here so this is a velcro buckle you do that up nice and. Tight and then you've got the buckle on the side to fasten things and cinch things down and then on the forefoot you. Have the alien inspired boa system and. This encloses the whole forefoot of the shell and gives you a nice secure fit in this area and then up top we've got a power strap as well one more accessible power strap at the top so the f1 has a. 95 flex so it's not the stiffest boot on the market it's a pretty soft boot but that's okay cuz it's a dedicated touring boot it's not really meant to ski the resort with but you can do it in a pinch it's built on 102 millimeters last and it's got a 20 and 22 degree forward lean. It's also got 62 degrees range of motion. So that's a really good range of motion forward and back most touring boots just have most of the range of motion to the back of the boot this has an equal forward and back i can't show it to you here because it's not mounted on a ski but it's got an incredibly good range of. Motion on the skin track you'll love this boot and the walk mechanisms on the back here, so we pop that down flex the. Boot and it's locked in super stiff now all metal ski walk mode here pop it open. And you're back in touring mode so it's really simple to operate the bottom side of the boot we've got a by room ufo evo. Salts are really good for scrambling up peaks walking around the resort lots of good grip inside we've got a tuition intuition pro flex evil lion.
