So, hey folks Jason here, one of my favorite little items that I bought for my inflatable fishing boat was the Minn Kota trolling Center battery compartment and essentially what this is done for me number one. It makes it really easy to carry my battery around these marine batteries can be pretty darn heavy number two. It keeps it super clean, so I don’t have to worry about my battery getting corroded as a result of being out on the water and I’ll.

Do a walk around here with you in just a couple minutes to show you some of the features, I love, how easy they make it to make sure that I’m hooking the battery up right and I’m, not accidentally crossing the polarity, which obviously could create some problems and then I really like the fact that this this little device has a gauge on it. So I can always check my battery strength before I go out on the water and then the other thing I really like about it.

Are these little 12-volt, extenders or 12-volt jacks that I have so that I can plug things like my inflatable fishing boat air pump into the side and have a power source wherever I’m at so a couple of things, I really like now, I’m going to pick up the camera and do a walk around and just kind of show you what I mean here and then my battery is dead, so I need to charge it. So a couple things I’ll point out: first of all, here’s how you attach your power from your electric motor to your boat.

They make it really easy just to have these convenient little screw caps here here is the device that helps you measure the power of your battery. So you can see my batteries just about all the way dead here when I test it. So we go around the side of this little contraption. Here are these 12-volt power supplies? I’ve got one on either side, so I can be pumping my boat with my electronic pump and charging my cell phone on the other side, if I’m out in the middle of nowhere and need to do that, it’s got this really handy.

Dandy, strap keeps everything nice and secure, and this really heavy-duty handle, which you can pick it up, but from here with one hand or you’ve, got little side handles here that you can grab hold of this thing. So really just been a great a great investment for me and my fishing boat, a couple other things: I’ve never really paid much attention to you’ve got the 10 amp boat accessory breaker, so you’ve got a breaker.

You don’t have to worry about frying your battery and then you’ve got a 60, amp trolling motor breaker. So again, there’s some really nice features packed into this little thing. I’ve really enjoyed it. The other thing when I bought my in Kota trolling centre, men Kota trolling motor power center, as they call it. I also bought my little handy, dandy, MinnKota charger and this thing’s great I’ll straight how to set this all up and use it in combination with one another for charging your battery here in just a minute.

It’s really super easy. Okay, I’m going to put the camera back down and set this thing up, and oh one more thing, I just want to show you here, look at the battery look how easy that connects inside they’re super clean connections. The battery fits right in the compartment, the screwed on, so you don’t have to worry about bad attachments when you’re charging or trying to hook your boat up keeps everything nice and clean okay.

Let’s hook this baby up and actually start powering it, okay, so you can see I’ve got it all hooked up next thing: I’m going to do is just plug the charger into the wall. Here turn it on and voila. My battery is charging, and it won’t be long now before I’m out on the lakes fishing hope. This was helpful.

Minn kota trolling motor power center, just because it says for trolling motor on it. I’ve also got one of these on my starter motor in the back of the boat. Now I probably bought about eight of these. In the last 10 years, I’ve owned different boats, uh sold them bought. Another boat bought two more of these, and usually, whenever I sell a boat that has these in it, you know the new owner always wants to keep them. So I got to go out and buy another pair. I just bought this boat here a couple months ago and of course decided to buy two more of these power centers for this boat because I really enjoy having them and they’re fairly useful.

Now, on top here, you have a test button. It will actually tell you the charge of the battery. Now I didn’t really think I was going to use that function much, but I have used it quite a bit over the years now, if you’re out all day long, you know using your trolling motor, you got a depth finder up there as well. Maybe you have an electric anchor uh. You kind of want to check to see where your battery’s at throughout the day, especially if you’re on a big lake, you never know when your big motor might not start so you need the trolling motor to get back to the dock.

It’s really easy just to check this. You know maybe you’re moving around a lot and you have an electric anchor and you’re using that quite a bit, it’s nice to have that test button there. On top, I actually use it more than I thought it would now. It does have a breaker for the trolling motor or whatever it is you’re hooked to this, and it also has a breaker for this cigarette lighter adapter right here, so you don’t have to run inline fuses for your battery cables with this built-in breaker uh it does work.

I think I’ve tripped one of these in the last 10 years now. Another cool feature could be my favorite feature. I’m not sure two cigarette lighters adapters on both ends. Now, maybe you think I’m never going to use that. Well, let’s say you catch a big fish. You turn your phone on. You want to take a picture phone’s dead. You know, hopefully you’ll realize once you get out on the water that hey, I need to charge. My phone just have a little phone charger with you plug that right in there charge your phone up just like that, because you never want to catch a big fish and not have a picture of it.

I’ve done that once in the past, and once only the biggest bass I’ve ever caught in my life, my phone was dead. I’ve never caught one that big again, but my phone is always charged now for sure. So you have one of those on each end, and maybe you don’t want to use it for a phone charger. You can use it for something else, gps or just about anything that has a cigarette lighter adapter. Now. Also this this battery box is a hair bigger than the standard. You know you go to your local angler shop or a farmer fleet wherever you get your battery boxes, they’re about 15 bucks just that standard one.

This is a little bit bigger than that standard box. It’s a little bit taller a little bit wider a little bit longer. So if you have a super tight space for a standard battery box, this is probably not going to fit because you have to account, for you have maybe three quarters of an inch of handle right here as well as far as height goes now. As far as cable routing goes, you know your standard box, you’re gonna, have your cables all run inside up. Underneath the lid, uh, cable routing just looks a little nicer, it’s a little bit easier and let me unbuckle this here comes with the buckle and with the uh hold downs, to hold the strap in place.

What you do you put your battery inside there and it has cables coming out of the lid right there and you just connect to your battery. Put your lid on. I know you don’t have a bunch of wires coming out of your battery box. It’s just a little bit cleaner installed. It looks a little bit nicer for like say, you’re going to sell your boat and you got a couple of these in the boat uh. It just looks a little bit nicer for the next buyer. They think you know, hey he’s, got really nice battery boxes.

He probably really took good care of all his equipment and the boat. It’s probably going to help. You sell the darn thing as well price wise. I only buy these when I see them on sale, I can usually get them for 59 dollars that we have a local store here that normally like 79 and every now, and then, as I walk through the fishing aisle and I’ll pick up a lure here. There I’ll take a glance at these and see what they’re priced at and, if they’re, on sale for 59- and I I don’t have one- I usually pick one up, so we spin it around here to this side.

You can see this side and there’s the back and there’s that side and they’re they’re very durable. I’ve never had one, not work where you know something didn’t work on it. Everything works and the actual plastic is probably twice as thick as your standard battery box that you’re going to pick up at bass pro cabela wherever I’m talking about the normal standard battery box, that’s like 15 bucks or whatever it costs. You can just tell that the plastic is much thicker, it’s much more solid on the side and it has a carry handle on top and also has the handle still on the side.

So if you think that you know this thing is going to help you out as far as your fishing style or, like I said, the the car charger ports on it, the built-in breakers, maybe you’re, wiring up a new trolling motor or new depth. Finder, you don’t need the inline fuses just makes for cleaner. Wiring looks better in the boat, but if you don’t really care that much about you know aesthetics, that’s probably the the main key kind of ingredient to this is the aesthetics, nice, cable, routing, nice, looking battery box, and I think some of the best feature on it is the car charger ports now someday.

I’m going to sell this boat, maybe the next boat I buy doesn’t have these in it I’ll probably go out and buy two more once you once you can use these uh. You realize well, these are a little bit nicer than I thought you get a little spoiled and then you always want them. Hopefully you guys found this review informative and helpful whether it helps you decide whether you don’t want them or do want them. I appreciate you guys watching.

It’s actually quite simple: what I’ve used is a minn kota trolling motor power center inside the minn kota power center. I have placed a vmax 125 amp hour battery. It is a agm deep cycle. It does not give off any gas, you don’t have to add any water or anything like that to it. It can be mounted in any way. So I’m going to show that to you, but I want to let you know.

What’s inside there, it’s a beast. One of the reasons that I went with the minn kota power center is on each end. It has a built-in 12 volt cigarette, lighter type adapter, which will work perfect with my refrigerator. I also like the fact that it has these external hookups for the inverter, meaning that I don’t have to take the battery out or I don’t have to open it up to actually charge the batter the battery either through solar or through a wall charger.

The system is also very portable because of the handle with the power center and, of course, if I need this inside my house anywhere, I need it. I can easily transport it well. I say easily the problem. The only problem really is is the fact that this battery is 75 pounds so uh, it’s not something that you’re gonna tote around super easy um, but the fact that it is portable and just got to put a little little stomach little shoulders.

Little arms, you know, work out your guns and you can move this thing around. I want to show you what the underside of the power center looks like here is the all the wiring right here on the two ends: you’ve got the 12 volt cigarette type adapters and right here are those two fuses that minn kota provides here’s the top there’s kind of a look at the guts inside.

So all this is just gonna sit on top, just like so minn kota provides this strap to buckle everything down, make it nice and secure. So now it’s ready to go. You can walk around with it if you have to. If you look right here at the top, minn kota provides a test button and to indicate the charge of your battery. So all you have to do obviously is hit the button.

This is the manoda comes with a nice bracket. Mounts has a swivel, lock piece where you can lift it up, bring it down turn it this way. In this way, the bracket itself is very strong. Now with the canoes you want to mount it on the outside now, even though the festival in this way he’s got Keith underneath here that grab onto the aluminum, you do not want to put on the inside the canoe, because there’s no lip here, so the actual canoe moves, pretty fast I’ll show you that in a second once we get going plugged in here, I got the battery cable running down, got it over to a marine battery, and this is the 50 amp fuse I think it is so when the the motor gets caught it’ll pop the fuse I can reset it positive negative.

My marine battery I just have a mat there holding it. Oh so anyway, we have been out here all day, never caught anything barely so anyway, we’re gonna pause. It well get moving shortly and we’ll record how fast this sucker moves. Okay, guys we’re gonna, be we’re done for the day. So, pull that anchor up I got this one from Walmart in the US. Only like 20 bucks for this thing looks like a mushroom.

Ah, how deep is that? Let me see it? No! That’s it there! That’s our anchor just row the canoe that keeps us from floating downstream, so we’re gonna get bougie in here. What I’ll get you guys to do is put your hand in the water well wewe bougie. Now we just show these guys the motor. So let’s uh we’re going to change this. This thing’s got three reverse and links five speed forward.

So let’s change it up here. Okay, move on to five speeds: okay, sorry handle water, see how fast the second moves. That’s how fast this little motor boogies around it was pretty fast. I got myself on camera. Doing this normally I would gives me a really nice camera, but I’m not taking that all in the water. So I like this motor. Here, it’s pretty good. It’s got a pretty good speed.

A4. We can run off a battery, no I’m, not ten kilometres yeah I. Think it’s like three miles an hour. If you’re running us terms, so there you go guys, if you guys want to get one of these little canoe, C 30s, you get them at Walmart, really cheap and you can buy this bracket at fast, fast pro shop there and a hook on here. Can you and like I, said this thing turns pretty good.

So like say you I’m gonna turn to the right, then let’s switch it around the other side. Let’s just turn the other way now here that a they got faster turns where my phone will line up in the drink myself floats drink, going down on the water really well, I. Don’t want to find that out anyway, there you go guys basically simple, you can choose the depth of it too and push this bud and lift it up out of the water.

So that’s, basically, the the monody 30 pound thrust five feet so anyway, thanks for watching guys, jack-of-all-trades have a good day.

With the uh trolling motor mounted on the canoe, I thought I’d show you guys the minn kota power center uh, like battery box, that I have- and I uh have it- set up here- how I’ve done it on the canoe in the past and uh works out, pretty good kind of a good size, slides right under the thwart here and a place for my feet to go so anyway. We’ll just do a quick overview of what this setup looks like you know, right now, I’ve got this kind of slid under the thwart and attached to the canoe itself with the this gear tie, and it works out pretty good, it’s nice and strong, and it’s you know not going to go anywhere with this with the canoe flips over.

This will hold on to it for the most part and I’m hoping at least to have it hasn’t happened before, but at least could recover this and it won’t be just you know, sitting on the bottom of the river also has has a little extra loop here, so I’m able to carry some water bottle and without it flopping around so so this is kind of the setup that I have attaching it to the canoe and we’ll go ahead and slide this out.

So you can take a closer look of what I got going on here back in the bar. Now, I’m going to you know open this up kind of show you more features of this box. So, like I was saying uh it has these two terminals here to plug in the uh, the trolling motor. It also has these two uh what I call still called the cigarette lighter uh or just you know the 12 volt charging locations. So you can, you know, stick, stick those in there and charge your cell phone or like a bluetooth, speaker or something I haven’t used those yet so uh um.

I would assume they work fine and no issues there, but usually I’m just trying to keep as much battery as I can to be sure that it gets me home uh during the you know, after the end of the trip or whatever so um so yeah, so the box itself is it’s really well built. I had a previous battery box um for uh free these trips and the uh. The box was really flimsy. It came apart and actually the handle broke off when I picked it up one time and it fell while carrying it.

So that wasn’t good uh. This box is just nice and thick plastic, so it doesn’t feel like it flexes all that much when you pick it up. The handle is really nice. It has these two bolts that kind of go through the top and have a nut on the bottom side to hold it. So it’s a nice kind of sturdy feel it has some circuit breakers, one for the you know the trolling motor itself and then a 10 amp breaker for your kind of accessories.

Here it does have a battery charge indicator, but it never worked for me. I actually I I ordered this and didn’t use it for a little while and then ended up uh using it and uh by then. It had been too much too long to return, so it never worked. So I ended up getting a an additional one from amazon. I don’t know if you can see it here, but it’s just a little add-on that I can put on the out outside of it and um.

It helps uh to have that um. You know so, while I’m using it it uh gives me an idea of how long I’ve got until I get home so the way the top fits on it doesn’t like clip on or anything it just has this strap that goes around it, which is nice. So you kind of know that it’s secured the other one I had didn’t have that strap. It was just kind of clipped in so so you just lift the top off nothing to it.

It’s not really waterproof, not really intended to be, but it um, you know uh, so you should don’t. You know, plan on it’s not going to be submerged or anything like that and be fine it. It also has these hooks under here that you can lift it up with. So you know not much to it. It is just a box to put a battery in so I have the 24 dc one deep cycle marine battery from advanced, auto parts.

Um you can get the bigger one to fit in here. I believe, because there is a lot of space here, you know I can fit my whole hand down the side. I’m not sure what that number is, though I think it’s like a 28 dc one or something like that, or maybe the dc2. I can’t remember exactly but anyway, so not much to it. You know red to the positive and black to negative, then back in here is where the uh, the the previous volt meter, was, and so I just ran those cables instead of to the existing one to a new one, and so here’s that here’s that new one, if I can show you a little closer, so you know tell me the percentage or the voltage and that’s it so anyway.

So that’s pretty much it! I really like this. I really suggest you getting one uh. It fits nice in the canoe, at least in my canoe that I have, and it kind of just makes it feel a little better to be more secured in this and attached to the canoe versus just the battery itself. So anyway, I really like this. It kind of like you know, dresses it up a little bit too. You don’t have a doesn’t look like you have a nice battery sitting in the bottom of your canoe um anyway, so uh, you know.

I appreciate you stick around to watch this video um hope to have some more on the canoe. I’m going to be starting that now that it’s getting warmed up and maybe we’ll have some trips or something to video.

Is my favorite thing in my group out of all the things I bring, this is most important because numerous times have I found myself screwed from either no phone or I been running trolling for hours and not paying attention to the battery. So this actually tells you if your battery is gonna die. So that’s a pretty important thing.

The biggest thing for me about this is the fact that it has these charge ports. The fact that you can charge your phone and not really have to worry about bringing a some junk third party just battery back in your pocket, that’s weighing it down and you already got enough with you and your boat. You don’t need all that, but this thing’s amazing it beats the plastic one I had before that.

You know the battery would just slide around and it was just a case. This thing I feel even if the battery cracked I would still be okay and it’s got the breakers. The fact that your boats not gonna, have light on fire is a good peace of mind. You want to have, but I can’t say enough good about this MinnKota. Their products are the best anything that I buy there is is always top notch.

So if you don’t have one of these already I would definitely look into getting one of these tomorrow. I wouldn’t be going out without some sort of protection level. The breaker, because, if you’re, if you’re running that thing- and you know the wires get hot, that could be pretty bad. So this is a $50 box and it’s pretty worthy investment, but I love it as you can see up top.

This is where you can test it see where your batteries that and it’s it’s beautiful. This is what a breaker switches are yeah. They could have made this thing any any easier and setting up better, see. I got this thing pretty snug, so I don’t even know if I can get this off right now, but bear with me a second, but they couldn’t have made the connections any easier for the average guy.

Look, it’s basically just look to redditor to to the positive the black to the negative you’re good. That’s it! That’s the battery I adore this box, and you should too. This is definitely not something you want to not buy. Even if you want to buy a box and make a breaker, then that’s fine too, but you definitely want to have some sort of breaker, because you will definitely eventually have a fire and that’s never something you want, but thanks for checking us out guys grab one I’m sure you’ll love it just as much as I do anything that’s made by Minn.

Kota is top quality, so you never really got to worry about their stuff. Leave me a like subscribe comment. You hate it tell me, I, appreciate it and go Birds.

Strap this is that heavy-duty nylon strap is secure, that’s a coupler! This helps secure the lid of the smart battery box base. Also, as you can see, there are wingnut style caps for the terminal. This makes I’m screwing and screwing them to tighten down but easier than using a wrench. Also, what you’d be able to see is a carrying handle on the top here there ain’t gonna be pitting strong, we’re also to carry handles on each side.

So I have your items that you feel more comfortable with 2 minutes. As you can see up here, we have two integrated circuit breakers. One is a 10 amp accessory breaker that goes to the USB port, as well as a 12-volt accessory plug, and we also have the 60 amp circuit breaker, which is connected to both the terminal ports. You should be able to push and hold the test button to get an accurate reading or battery charger to activate the USB port.

All you need to do is simply connect the USB port into the port connected to the device you like to charge and simply press the test. Button should see the first LED blinking, letting you know that this has been activated and will begin charging it’ll continue to blink as it charges your USB device if nothing is plugged in and in turn off for your 12-volt accessory plug. This is not needed as soon as you plug in your accessory device into this outlet.

It’ll begin charging immediately with the smart battery box flipped upside down. You can see the four non-slip pads. Please help prevent the battery box from sliding around and you can see these are slightly worn and actually being used in our oceans.

Just unbox my new Newport vessels, electronic outboard motor is the 46 pound thrust series, so I’m in the process of unpacking it and I realize my might as well go ahead and videotape this and show you what’s in the box. So let me show ya so it came with the trolling motor box inside the trolling motor. You have the color as well as it looks some screws or something in there.

The motor is packaged the star here: stop contact Newport vessel directly for customer service and questions. Our California based customer service team is ready to help. Well, that’s a funny. No pick this particular motor up because of the cost get I, don’t make million bucks on anything, and you know for me to play $125 and it has some decent reviews.

Here we have your voltage meter, which is actually pretty cool to know. I have the voltage meter on my fish finder, but that’s pretty cool as far as that goes. This is your adjustment night. So this is where you adjust it so that the propeller search sits a certain amount in the water. So it’s not too deep, not too high for your or the propulsion of your boat.

It also looks like I, had some clamp here, which is going to be good pivot back and forth onto the back of the boat. So this is on my boat. This is their open up the instructions, and let’s do this right. You guys so electronic butter instructions, battery type 12, oh I, already have that. Thank you for purchasing the product.

You’re welcome. You’re, welcome. Newport. All right safely place an electronic motor on the back of the vessel stowaway position. First time rather loosely tighten the transom motor clamps press, the tilt lever and slowly let the motor enter the water, use the depth adjustment collar to adjust the height of the motor recommended running depth between 6 and 12 inches below the waterline.

So that’s good to know so. 6 and 12 inches, so I won’t be able to adjust it until I’m, actually in the water. As far as that goes because usually what I’ll do is I’ll take this as a backup motor, so I don’t have to always use my gas motor water I’m trolling around. In the in the water now once it is done to be safe to connect the battery to the butter and sure the twist grip size so again, so it also comes with the circuit breaker and the circuit breaker is meant to connect it to the motor, which is actually pretty cool, and then they disconnect for this there’s a reset button on it.

So if there is a thrust issue, meaning you get, the motor caught in a some weaves or fishing line gets caught on it or something like that. You turn it off real quick, but this wall so pop it. So it stops it from going and potentially burn out. The motor put the propeller on here, there’s a pin that corresponds with a line on the back of the propeller.

So the pin goes in here. First like so there’s a little bit of grease here and we stick the pin in like so until it seats. Alright, then you have a washing. That’s it still side of washer. Here it doesn’t say which way to go, but I’m gonna assume that the top part lip of the screw goes up. Then it comes with its own little wrench, so you hand tighten that, and then you need that little wrench -.

Then you need this little screw driver. You need a screwdriver, a thin screwdriver hold it in place to get in there. It’s a lot nut, but if you don’t go all right, that’s in place all right. So once again, I have the Newport vessel, trolling motor, all set up. It’s pretty much. Unfortunately, the way my ransom is it’s at an angle, but I do get complete 360 turn around here.

So as far as the extension, the extension extension is pretty cool, so I’m able to pull it out, I’m able to get a full extension, so I have a little bit better leverage. It has your charging port on the top and as far as speed goes, this is five full speed. This is the it’s five speeds, so we’re going full speed right now we’re looking for a fish and there’s some fish, and but you have four speeds, and then you got three speeds in Reverse, so it’s actually pretty cool as far as that whole part of it.

The only negative thing I have is, with the these two pins when it tied them on. One of them turns real, easy and smooth, where the other one is really really tight and I got a crank into it. I’m gonna assume that it doesn’t sit right in the threads. I did call all them and they went ahead and I called Newport vessel and they suggested that I put some Lube in there which they did, but it’s still really tight.

Now again, that’s a positive and negative positive. It’s well! It’s not going to come off the boat. It’s it’s clamped in there negative again, I take this on and off my boat continuously. So it’s a little bit tighter in that regards. So you know again for 125 bucks on Amazon, it’s a decent motor guys it does the job and it does it well so hey! Hopefully this helps you guys out thanks for watching everybody make sure please remember to subscribe and we’ll see you next time on the next video thanks.

Everybody have a great day.

Calm and today we’re gonna talk about the Newport vessels, smart battery box now I purchased this to go along with my Saturn sd480 8 inflatable boat, which I got from boats to cocom I took up when its maiden voyage. Just this past Sunday with my son and man, those first times are in doozy I’m talking about sweaty I didn’t realize this. How many processes and steps I had to do? I was so unprepared. I didn’t realize they were still plastic rolled up inside the actual boat that I had to pull out and there were unfortunately tons of people watching me.

But that’s another story since I can’t really showcase the boat right now, I’m gonna stick to doing one thing at a time and right now we’re gonna focus on this battery box. So I pulled up the Amazon page, which is where I purchased it. As you can see, it’s an Amazon choice. There are two major brands that sells this kind of battery box other than all the ones that are from China or third-party sellers. That’s Newport vessels this one. They actually make trolley motors as well and inflatable boats, and it’s also MinnKota, which is world famous for we’re, making trolley motors.

Now they do have downsides, but one of the great up size is its multi-purpose and it holds different size matters. Now for marine deep-cycle batteries, like the one I got, I went to interstate over in Waltham. Sorry, just an interstate battery Plus Center right next to the five guys that has every better. Yet you need. It was super cool super easy and the price was pretty good. Not so bad plus I found out that they’re a little better prayer review, then going to let’s say getting a last from the AutoZone.

But you know a marine battery. Is the marine battery I went with a group 27 because I want the biggest one I fit in the box. I don’t want to get a small one and know that I need to upgrade. So, let’s look through some of the things that it has here. As you can see from this picture right here, there’s the charge light. You can see right here it if you hold it down for a couple seconds. It will show you what the charge level is by 25 percentages for each glowing thing and I never went below 80%.

In that whole, two and a half hour ride now went into the top level speed for my column motor many times some of people had talked about going to a top speed and sub just below it like usually somewhere. Five is the fastest for Ford, and if you get a four you’ll save so much more energy, which is probably true, it’s a drastic drop in speed. When you go to number four or number five like pretty much like it kicks you back when you do it and there’s like waves, and you do number five for my trolling motor- yes, it’s fast, but on a 16-foot boat so fast, but you should really only surmise that you’re going to be going about five miles per hour with any trolley motor of any poundage pounds of thrust.

Isn’t what people actually think it is it’s more of a torch thing. There’s a celebration in there speed and there’s different ways you can do that, but for the most part color motors are built for acceleration. You get to this spot quick, you the best spot that spot quick. You want speed, you get a gas engine also, if you want to use the peripherals here, which is one there’s a USB or here’s a better picture of that button. It’s close. This is for 12 up 12 all batteries.

If you’re wondering 12 volt deep cycle batteries, you see here there’s a battery port um, a charging part for any kind of USB device. Most people will be charging their mobile phones I. Did it a test? I can actually do it here, for you, I actually have the battery. Obviously I’m, going to show you up close in just a minute: I’ll go over there, the basics! Here there, these cities a little these little white things they’re actual trips. For today up there breaker switches, a breaker switch on the tip and 60 amps.

So if you just surge from your motor that mines at 55, amps I shouldn’t get anything, that’s over 60, apparently I. Just can’t handle it it’ll be too much heat, which is something people have run into with this then too much heat being drawn the wires in the plastic. Hmm there’s a 10 F drawn, which I think has to do with these other devices, which is the USB and the 9-volt. On the other side, I thought that was a picture that look yeah right here. You can see there’s an eyeball on the other side, so you know there’s to be no warranty external battery ports, dual integrated circuit breakers.

We talked about that, etc, etc. But, let’s get to the cool stuff, you know what’s cool you can read this while I show you well I show you the actual battery. No I got the 27 battery group 27 batteries still in here, so it’s freaking heavy but I’m, not full. That’s my laughs and next the big boy turn around. Do it the first place? Alright, you see if I have little backdrop behind me is actually a boat just behind us. Let’s, let’s curl up! Actually you see here, go look here, see a bag, this bag.

Is it the boat, pretty decent storage space for a 16-foot boat right behind it stops like right here. That’s how high it is. So here’s the case a battery center. Here’s the 9-ball closer! Well workout it up. Here’s the USB right there and let me show you there’s a nice little strapped assisting port vessels. These are the port’s, make sure I don’t grab for at least the same time, don’t be stupid on video. Here’s, the breaker switches- if you see here to actually use these two side devices the USB a 9-volt, you actually have to turn it on it.

Won’t just plug in only these terminals are always on. So, if you want to use this, she was a business tip to use USB port press the test button to wake up the battery box. So we do it. You see the flash there. It’s ready, my phone boom wait! Oh you can’t see. That’s charging like! Let’s do it, while it’s plugged in it’s interesting, your work! Oh you want to do that. Don’t make me look bad pluses! Actual wire is broken interesting. Well, they must be acting fine out.

So note that to yourself that sometimes the USB thing might work- and it might not like Oh guys charge this again, but it’s got that, maybe the u s before it doesn’t work as well as it’s supposed to, but when I first tried it I bought this one want to talk about. This is a standard of the box itself and has the vent port here. If you have a non sealed battery, but this one is, it should be too much work on Mac I think there’s some off-gassing, but not much, plus the most important part, whether in your boat, especially in playing a little boat or were you having you car or even in your house if, for some reason it gets really old, it corrodes and it actually starts to leak.

It’s in the plastic, at least for a while long enough for you to realize that it’s leaking because you’ll smell it or it obviously won’t be, holding the charge or open up your looking sack you’ll see the corrosion you’ll see the link and you deal with it. You won’t have to deal with some like I had to back one out of the high school and I left a battery in the back of my Chevy Blazer in 1992, and it burned a hole in the carpet a hole about yea, big and I had to cut it out, and you know whatever you know me kid, it was old, was beat-up little carpet hole.

Doesn’t that too much, but right now that cool but other than having easy access to these knobs and closing them and opening and closing them is really the only thing you’re paying for this see here, it’s a screw top every screw. People have noted that what you run at level 5, then the plastic around here will melt this heats up and melts this plastic melts and, more importantly, the plastic wires that go to the leads for the battery melt as well, and then it stops functioning and or if you go up to when you start, we can call up tech, speed, they’ll, get too hot, no fray the wires and there’s cut off, but you go at lower speeds with lower voltages and with lower temperatures.

It won’t do that, so one last thing do is hop up what you look inside. Look here see the wires. You see the interstate battery, which is green brand new was the manufactured in well. I got one that was manufactured in January and one the manufacture in February. So you know as good as it gets, and all I got to do is plug climb up screw them on get you a little strap here has a little clip. There’s a premade guide on the box, the other one I have. Does it have a good a guide? You actually have to screw something on to make a strap that it can hold.

They can hold it in that one place where then, these raised beams and I don’t want to drill holes. My battery box, because they might you know, poke a hole in the battery like why same reason, I wouldn’t use screws in the book in the floorboards for my boat because it might pop the boat so other than that. That’s what’s going on with this battery box and I had any problems with it and told us now the USB not sure what that’s about, but I swear. It was working before in difficult aeneas to work in my next set of videos where I talk about strong motor and the boat and all the other things that I bought for this I’ll tell you, okay, USB, isn’t working anymore.

This thing is sorry crapping out of me, Oh write a review on Amazon because yeah they sent me this card telling me how to write a review for their product if it’s not working correctly anymore or I’m, just being dumb and read the instructions right this time, I do something doing something backwards. Then I’ll tell them, but it’s probably me, but we’ll see time will tell so your think about this. You know it’s all name was on $65 free shipping, not bad. You can using your kayak fits right in the back.

It’s waterproof it’s to waterproof back on battery box and it holds groups 27 battery pretty large, pretty heavy. This is about Oh No. It feels like it’s over 50 pounds. It’s like it’s like 45, 50, 150 pounds you realize, give or take a few things and yeah. Oh yes, yes as those a non-slip rubber feet which are really important when you have aluminum for floors like I, do in my book, you don’t want to slip some boats that have open areas like if little boats they don’t have that little compartment box, like a real boat, does to put your battery.

They have a little strap that they put up right. So it doesn’t slide forward in a boat, and you know makes me know you have your you’re shocking people as it slides by not good those non-slip feet. You’ll stay right to the back, and obviously because you’re taking off you can’t don’t have brakes on a boat. It will stay in the back, no problem, so I think that’s all I want to talk about. If you have any questions, please comment down below no click and subscribe do all the socials, and if you have any questions just please ask me I’m willing to talk about anything or if that person I forgot your name or your.

Your handle your YouTube handle that you wanted to know more about the Saturn SD 48 cuz you’re thinking about getting it for your family. Please contact me even if it is before I actually showcase the boat which I play to do. Oh because you asked and I was planning to do it anyway. Just that’s ass. I’ve already told you that learning the first time is a little rough, but I already know it’s gonna be faster. The second time I just want to see how fast I can get it and I’m gonna showcase that it’s over a period of videos, so joy, Norris, fish, Network, calm, tell me you Scout there and go fishing.

How are we can before work during work after work or on the weekends make it happen.

I would make a quick video just to this is this: is a newport vessels battery box, not a bad box? There’s a couple of things I don’t like about it. One is that it does not have a charging port so that you can charge the battery without opening the box up on the battery boxes that I make I put a charging port on them. One of my customers already has a battery, which is a 55 amp hour, mighty max that he bought off of amazon.

It’s a good battery. It weighs 39 pounds, it will fit in this box and but you’ve got to have to add some foam to keep it in place. So I was going to show a couple of the things that I did to this box. One is, I installed a atwood trolling motor plug female and then I’m sending him a an atwood trolling motor plug male, that I put crimps on it and fill them with noah locks to prevent corrosion and to help this. The connection.

The other thing I did was, I installed an sae plug so that he can plug his trolling motor directly into this. The sae plug has an inline fuse. I’ve been I’ve, given him a 5 amp fuse and also I’m sending him a a 3 amp fuse, because I don’t know what his fish finder did. I say trolling motor, I don’t know what his fish finder uses, um, so trolley motor plug fish, finder plug and then the what I what I did was. I took this panel off, which you can unscrew use uh.

Taking these four screws out. This protection panel will just lift out and then once I did that I built some connecting wires using number eight, I believe, have to look um yeah number, eight, eight gauge marine grade wire uh, that’s supposed to be black, really it’s kind of brown or clear, and then, of course, the red for the positive leads after I did that I used. These are copper connections that are tinned for protection, and this is the right size which is a 5 16 to connect to the back side of these battery terminal posts.

So I did one for the trolling motor plug and one of the benefits is uh. Newport includes or builds in a 60 amp um, a 60 amp circuit breaker and a 10 amp circuit breaker, the 10 amp circuit breaker goes to their uh 12 volt plug right there and then, of course, the 60 amp goes to the battery post. I just tied into that so that my trolling motor plug that I installed is protected with their 60 amp circuit breaker. Then I did the same thing for installing the fish finder plug.

I put it in line fuse, it’s got a five amp fuse in it and I ran an extra long lead so that he can change the fuse or check the fuse without taking this panel off instead of hiding it underneath here I just uh, I put a longer lead on it, so he could do that without removing this panel. I think I mentioned that the 55 amp hour mighty max battery weighs 39 pounds if I remember correctly, give or take so it’s a heavy battery.

This is a good heavy duty box. Uh can’t argue with that um. It’s pretty easy to machine uh drill the holes in it so that I could add uh these things. This battery box goes for 65 and then, of course, the additional modifications that I needed to make ran the price up a little bit, but I think he will be really happy with it uh. It’s got some handles on the sides for lifting it um, which is the way I would recommend carrying this box rather than carrying it by the handle.

Um just be sure I put that male plug in here yep it’s in there, so all he needs to do when he gets the box is connect. These two leads to his battery and close it up and he’s ready to hit the water so next time, if I ever have to do one of these again, I will video the the process so that people can see how I did it. I’m gonna keep this pretty good and tight, because, when you’re carrying a 40 pound battery, you don’t want the lid coming off.

This thing, um actually has sorry about that. It’s a great accessory for small boat volt boats, multiple dc accessory port, it does have a usb plug. My battery box has a dual usb plugs he’s got a 12 volt plug my box also has a 12 volt plug. It has a test button which will show the power the voltage of the battery or the condition of the battery. It does not have a voltmeter, which I really like having it on my box, so uh, that’s it I’ll post this and if you’ve got any questions, you can uh, send me a pm on facebook or send me an email to portapowerpro1500 at gmail com.

VMAX MR127 12 Volt 100Ah AGM Deep Cycle Maintenance 12v trolling motor battery

The heart of the VMAX is the unique physical and chemical structure of its plates. The special treatment and manufacturing process they undergo gains them unique reliability, strength and high performance far exceeding those of other Pb-Ca plates used in similar looking products. Using our specially designed Absorbed Glass Matt (AGM) between the VMAX plates, adds to its many physical and electrical advantages that make it superior to the Wet Lead Acid Batteries. This also maximizes the VMAX resistance to shocks and vibrations. Since the electrolyte is totally absorbed by the AGM, the VMAX is classified as “non-spillable and non-hazardous”. A tough Tank seals and protects the tightly packed plates delivering the VMAX in a 100% maintenance-free package. Though VMAX Tanks are best known for their long life span, their capability to recover after repeated deep discharges is what makes them the favorite choice for any application.
