Hi tara mikasich here team rider for o’brien wakeboards today we’re talking about life jackets. Everyone knows you should wear a vest when you’re on the water. So today we’re going to talk about the different types of vests and what you should look for in the fit and size of it. O’brien offers different fabrics in their line of vest. We have an affordable nylon, vest great for recreational boaters and for our water sports enthusiasts. We have a softer, more form-fitting neoprene vest when you’re looking at o’brien’s line of neoprene vest you’ll notice that there are several different styles.

For example, we have the traditional vest with one piece of foam down the back. We also have the v back, which has three pieces of foam and the v flex panel down the middle for better fit and more comfort. Another great feature on o’brien vest is the d-ring. This is used to attach the jet ski lanyard for the kill switch when you’re trying to decide what size vest to buy orion makes it easy. Their kids fists are sized by weight range and their adult vests are by chest size when you’re ready to purchase your o’brien vest it’s very important that it fits properly.

A good way to tell is by the zipper if you pull the sides of the vest together and the zipper overlaps easily. It’s too big. What you want is that the zipper meets just barely, but you can still zip it up easily. I hope I’ve given you the information you need to buy the best fitting and most comfortable o’brien vest on the market and always remember how important it is that you always wear a vest, no matter how old you are during any water sports activity, thanks for watching check out more of our site at o’brien com and like us on facebook, we’ll be putting up more videos throughout the year I’ll see you next time run.

Hey Johnny Boz’s here for Peter, Glen’s, ski and sports testing out all the gear. This time around we’re doing, wakeboards water skis, tow-ropes life, jackets and I. Gotta say this O’brien traditional neoprene vest is the first best I’ve worn where, after I got out of the water I, actually just got in the driver seat and drove with it. Normally I ripped that thing off as soon as I can hanging out, but I just kept this thing on. It’s really comfortable and it’s very low-profile.

It has neoprene in it, but it also has what’s called bio light. Construction I, don’t really know the details, but the way they put it together. It saves a lot of weight and also it kind of got a skinnier lower profile. Of course, it’s Coast Guard approved it’s fully safe. You don’t have to worry about that coming out of the O’brien company. They got you covered there, but I will say just like I said it’s so comfortable that I felt like I just kind of kept it on and wore it around the boat all day long and that’s a first for me.

I could even sit in the driver’s seat, drive and didn’t feel like I had something thick jacket on my chest. Kind of cool color is pretty simple. It’s got the d-ring here or, if you’re on your wave runner on your jetski and you need to clip on the kill, switch or even in your Boston Whaler, so really important that it usually sometimes you know you have to like slip the kill switch through and then clip it and it’s a pain in the butt. They got the d-ring on there for you, simple, simple system with the zipper and two enclosures solid straps, great lifejacket, Adam O’brien, alright Jonny Moseley here for Peter Glenn seen in sports, you can go to peterglenn com and check out all my reviews and pick up one of these vests for yourself, o sizing wise.

This goes between a 40 and a 44 of this best particular fits between a 40 and 44 I’m. A 42 regular jacket like a suit jacket, fits me just right. So there you go, have fun out there. You say.

Hey guys, if you’re looking for a life jacket to suit all of your needs, storage that you need and also be lightweight and comfortable, then stay tuned you’re going to want to see what MTI has to offer coming up. Hey guys, Kyle here with deepwater guide and in today’s episode, Lillie Colby is going to tell us about how MT Eyes life jackets are going to solve the issues you have for storage comfort, weight, that sort of thing hey guys.

We got to be safe out there on the water I know when I go out on a boat by myself, I make sure I wear my vest I’ll show you what I got from MTI at the end of this video so make sure to stick around for that. Hey guys now will be a great time to go ahead and hit that subscribe. Button be sure to take that little notification bell right beside it. So you don’t miss out on any great fishing content, but hey guys before we get the video started.

I want to let you know be sure to stick around for the end one more time, because there’s an important piece of information that we’re going to share with you about an organization that MTI likes to support, and now we do -. It’s called heroes on the water. Now I’ll leave a link in the description, but at the end of the video I’m going to go into a little bit of detail about what they stand for and what they do and how they help our military and veterans so stay tuned for that enjoy.

The video hello I am Lily Colby from MPI life jackets. We are at surf Expo in Orlando, Florida, September 2018 and our company is based in Plymouth Massachusetts we’ve been around since 1991, and our focus is US, Coast, Guard or through of life jackets for paddle sports, it’s powered by the paddle. We make jacket for it, so kayak, canoe, stand-up, paddle, rafting. We’ve got a long history of really working with people, seeing what people want to do and building product for it, and the thing that drives us, my husband and I own the company and what really drives us, is to make a lifejacket look good to make it comfortable and to make it affordable, because that will promote people to wear it, because that makes boating safe, safer.

No one wants to ruin a great day on the water with an accident we want everyone to be safe and wearing a lifejacket can really make a difference. So for kayak fishing we’ve been dealing with paddle sports jackets, specifically for that market for a long time, and we actually make three models that are foam based models for kayak fishing and what I mean by foam base. Is that it’s your traditional jacket new for 2019? We have the striker.

This is a value jacket for kayak fishing, lots of great cargo pockets, easy accessible to get inside, you can see what’s inside through the mesh, and it has drainage for water large, for your tackle box on the other side is a more secure storage pocket. Again. Lots of room for gear behind each of these pockets is a hand. Warming pocket you’ve got police on the inside very comfortable, but what’s really great about the striker other than its retail price, which is only 74 95 is the fact that is a general-purpose all boating US Coast Guard approval a type 3.

If you look at a stamp on the inside, it says that you can use it for wakeboarding, waterskiing general voting, so for those brand new kayaks that have motors now. What’s really awesome is that it has a d-ring at the bottom for a kill switch. So if you’re on a motorized kayak, they fall off it. Killswitch gonna kill the motor, so that’s safer and it’s a great retail price. The idea of a kayak fishing jacket for a pal sports kayak fishing jacket is that you’re wearing your tackle box on your body, because you’re not going to move around the kayak you’re, not gonna, be able to do that.

So this model, which is called the Calcutta, which is actually a one size, fits all. It’s super adjustable 90 pounds and up so you can share this jacket with your friends. This has what we call a spec out. Fittings. You’ve got a drop down pocket here, so you’ve got a workspace right there on the water right in front of you. It’s got elastic loops that are well thought out. You can put a tackle box in there.

You can put your favorite adult beverage, this little Perry, a glass snack call enough. I bet you co-op can have some good ideas about what might be taller kind of beverage to fit onto this platform that retails at ninety eight. Ninety five, so it’s more expensive than the striker, but you’ve got the ripstop nylon and a lot more features, especially with the drop-down platform. The aspect outfit, but not everyone wants to wear a foam jacket.

So a lot of people really love the convenience and the low-profile comfort of an inflatable. This is a life jacket on demand. There’s a co2 cartridge in here for the auto inflatable Neptune. This is a new color for 2019 and when you fall in the water you have to be immersed. It’s not going to go off just if there’s a rain shower, you have to be immersed, but this will inflate and you’re wearing a life jacket.

It’s a life jacket on to man. You’ve got attachment points on the back. You’ve got some neoprene at the collar, so it’s comfortable. This is a ripstop nylon. You’ve got an attachment point on the outside here for clipping in gear, and you’ve got a nice pocket here. Fishing license credit card that is called the Neptune and that retails at 150 995, so MTI lifejackets MTI stands for marine technologies international.

That’s a really big word! That’s why we say: MTI and fishermen anglers we’ve got a life jacket for you and you can bring your dog -. This is the underdog. That’s also a life jacket give me a side for a bottle of it of the dog MTI lifejackets based in Plymouth Massachusetts, our website, MGI lifejackets calm. We have a Facebook site, Facebook water dot planet and we have an Instagram fun enough. That’s called MTI lifejackets.

So look us up check out our website and see what we have right now see. What’s new for 2019 and we’d love to help you be safer on the water, with an MTI lifejacket, hey guys, real, quick before I show you, my new life jacket be sure to go ahead and hit that subscribe. Button tag that little notification bell right beside it, so you don’t miss out on any great fishing content and, with that said, check this guy out.

It’s lightweight super comfortable. Now, when I go out on a boat by myself, I don’t have to worry about if something happens or having to wear a big bulky lifejacket. So now, I could be safe out on the water. Without anybody with me, you should do the same check out what options MTI has to offer for you. I’ll leave the link to their website in the description below and while you’re there guys check out another link that I’ll put down there I’m going to put a link down there for a group called heroes on the water.

Now heroes on the water, org is an organization that’s set out to help military and veterans deal with stressful situations, specifically PTSD. The mission statement for heroes on the water org is to help warriors: relax, rehabilitate and regenerate through kayak fishing and the outdoors on their website. You’ll find ways that you can get involved or simply just support them, so someone else can take a hero fishing if you’re a veteran all of us at deepwater guide.

We thank you for your service. We pray for you constantly. This is a serious issue we’re dealing with and we need to help our veterans and support them. So you know am I, saying all the time. Guys love your neighbor as you love yourself. Take them fishing. Well, this time, consider taking event and see how you can support heroes on the water.

This is a very comfortable pfd I use for. I would highly recommend this for anyone. I am 510 inches and around 220 pounds, so not a small guy and this fits very comfortably and feels secure. I even have first-hand experience using this wiping out in the surf and it worked very well. Although I was able to get up quickly, the pockets and storage options are very useful. The vest is very comfortable for all day on the water.

I love the pocket options. My cell phone fits perfect in the pocket with a velcro flap, so it’s easy to access one-handed. The high-back design is great for sitting in a kayak boat chair, I’m a bigger guy and can operate in it all day. When looking for a pfd, I was looking for options while dry, because I never want to use it in the water just on the water, so I cannot attest to its floatability.

I will update my review if I ever get wet wearing it. This seems to be a very nice pfd. They say this is a level three coast guard approved life-preserving jacket. According to the uscg, most people need at least seven to 12 pounds of lift pressure from a flotation device to stay above water. Dionyx says that is around 15 pounds of lift pressure which exceeds the standard for the level 3.

That is good to know. I will be using this pfd for kayaking and it will be perfect for every aspect of these adventures. I love all the pockets that it has. I also really like rubber band type of connection point on the left chest. This area can accommodate a lot of different ideas, and so I find it be extremely flexible in the use. This pfd even has a pocket on both sides that have felt lining in it.

If you are like me and enjoy kayaking even in cooler weather the pockets will be a nice place to warm up the fingers a bit. This pfd seems so versatile in its use. I couldn’t imagine all the possibilities it would provide, but there are a few cons. It seems that the zipper poles are a flexible plastic. When I go to zip the pfd, I can feel the zipper pull bending under little pressure.

This makes me believe that, in a short amount of time it will break the most concerning is that the actual component that forces the two sides of the zipper to join also feels to be made of this plastic. That, to me, is unacceptable and a corner that should not have been cut, never ever skimp on a zipper, as we all have too many struggles with zippers, as it is additionally for the price point, it should have been some type of strong aluminum or a stainless steel.

I don’t know when you go to tighten this guy down. It does put pull on that zipper. I could be wrong and it’ll figure out as the months go by how well that hauls up now, I am a big fan of double stitching and all aspects of pockets and compartments are single stitched. That may be perfectly fine, but it doesn’t appear that the zipper which handles the pressure of keeping the jacket tight does not have double stitching, or I can’t see it.

However, as in one of my pictures, it does appear, they made great effort to ensure a strong additional stitching was done where all of the nylon type straps connect to the vest click link in description for more reviews.

Hi I’m Rick Burnley, editor of kayak, angler magazine and I’m here today with some PFDs that we tested for the spring issue of the magazine. I figured I’d go over with you a little bit more information than we were able to conclude in the article, and you know, there’s a great year again for kayak anglers, so many products are coming out specifically designed for kayak fishing for kayaks, and you know the specific needs that we we have, and this year’s no no exception this.

This collection is no exception. I guess start off. You know, there’s a wide variety of PFDs for different needs and different uses. A lot of anglers, of course, are using a inflatable PFD, which is a great choice. They’re light they’re, you know low profile, you don’t even notice, you have it on all day long. This is the m24 Bionics and it’s a it’s a good solid. You know inflatable PFD.

We like that it has this neoprene padding at the collar to keep it from rubbing on you. That’s one of the places that you know these inflatables oftentimes body is webbing behind the neck, and it also has a window down here so that you can monitor the co2 cartridge and make sure that it’s always charged. You don’t have to get apart. You just look through that window. Every time you go and make sure it’s charged, and you know, since you need to have a PFD on every time you fish, a lot of tournaments, are requiring a PFD.

You know these inflatables make a great choice, especially if you’re not carrying anything in your pockets or anything like that. You know you just need something that you can wear and and rely on now. This is a manual inflate PFD I mean you have to pull this well accord to get it to blow up there’s. Also, this model also comes in an automatic inflate one where it detects the water and and and inflates the the PFD automatically.

As soon as you hit the water- and you know great choice again, if you’re just looking for something lightweight and low profile to take on the water and have in case something goes wrong and where all the time, so that’s the nice thing about these inflatables, the m24 bionics. This is a classic one of the first best PFDs. This is Astral’s that was made for fishing. This is Astral’s Roni, Fisher PFD, you can see.

We got the bright green one. It also comes in camouflage color if you’re, if you’re a hunter, you know- and you know we all know nonsense- kind of layout. This is one of the PFDs. It has a more low-profile front, not as many pockets, but you know just enough for what you need. I, like that it’s made out of this heavy Cordura material. Here you know puncture proof, rip proof and also the pockets, two big pockets in the front and when you open either one of the big pockets up when you open the big pockets up, it opens up into kind of like a tray and then there’s like a felt material here that you can stick things to velcro kind of stuff too, and stick small hooks in and such like that so and then a smaller pocket on the front of that and the other side does the same thing.

Folds forward this. This one actually has a fold-out beverage holder. It’s a big enough to hold your can, and you know other attachments and such like that. Another thing that makes this this PFD unique is it’s. You know it does have a fullback to it, but it’s got this channeled vent on the back that has mesh in it to improve air flow. A lot of these kayaks today have these frame seats that come up high on your back, and so this keeps the air flowing, keep it a little bit cooler and plus it’s on the inside.

It’s got this mesh material on the inside. That also improves airflow. The foam is sectioned and you know carved to fit around you and to be comfortable like that, and then the other interesting feature about this that sets this PFD apart from any other that we’ve tested our scene, is it has a fold-out hood in the back of the PFD. So if you get caught in the rain or you know, if you have blows off and it’s a sunny day, you want to keep that Sun off of you.

This high vis hood again great visibility at night or in the rescue situation, pops right out of the collar of the of the PFD, always there when you need it and again this is the Ronnie Fisher by Astral designs. Continuing on the continuum. This is a hybrid PFD and what that means is it gets some of its flotation from foam inherent flotation from foam. But then it also has an inflatable air bladder that that when you need extra flotation or are going to be in the water for longer than you want to be pull the cord and it inflates the air bladder.

And then you get full. You know flotation. This is the chimera by Mustang and it just came out this year. In fact, this is a prototype, but they are in production they’re out now and you know, we’ve been wearing it all fall and it’s a great opportunity get a little bit extra flotation to make it easier to stay afloat, figure out what you’re gonna do and then the nice thing about them is getting back into the kayak is a lot easier because you don’t have this big puffy PFD sticking out the front of you trying to climb back into the kayak overtop the PFD can actually get in the way.

This makes it easier because you can see there’s nothing on the front of it, except for one pouch. That’s just big enough to fit your cellphone, but you know: you’ll have a little bit extra flotation, but also it doesn’t get in the way when you’re trying to get back in the kayak. So this is actually what I use, especially in the summertime. I use a hybrid PFD. Just for that reason- and this is like I- said- brand new- the chimera by mustang survival coming back to the back row here, I get to start on the right hand, side this is Mt, is Calcutta.

I think this is like the most inexpensive PFD that we tested and but it still has great features. This is also kind of cool, because it’s a one size fits all Universal sized PFD, and they achieve that. You can see with these adjustment straps on the shoulders and two wrong adjustment straps on the sides. This is a great PFD for a guest or as a backup PFD. You know this is kind of like a perfect second PFD.

You can also get it. Of course. It’s a perfectly functioning, kayak, PFD and very comfortable for whatever needs you have. But again you know if you’re looking to get a second one or you know one for the life or something that will fit anybody you can just have in the garage all the time. This is a great great choice and you know ripstop nylon, some large pockets in the front. It’s got clips instead of a zipper to close it up, but you know super adjustable and and a nice utilitarian PFD.

This is the Calcutta by MTI. Another kind of classics been out a couple years, but you probably wanted more popular PFDs is NRS is Chinook. You see this all over the place, really popular PFD with with kayak fishermen. This is one of the ones that has a mesh the high flotation high on the back and with mesh on the lower part to fit into a high back seat, which I really like and then on the front.

You know not so many pockets that they’re getting in the way, but you know enough to hold the big big tools that you might have, and you know attachment points and such like that. The cool thing about this one too, is how adjustable it is. It’s got three straps on each side to to adjust the sides, and then you know the zippered front. One thing we like about this one too, is that the foam is, you know, carved and it actual mold to your body, the more you wear it, the more.

This foam will Bend and really mold to your own body shape, and that makes it super comfortable. And again you see this on a lot of guys and girls, kayak fishing and there’s a good reason why it’s time-tested and definitely water approved. This is NRS, is Chinook and then one of the ones we’re most excited about for this year, just coming out is the Leviathan by Koch attack and, as usual, it’s way over designed as coca.

That does- and you know this companies from the Pacific Northwest, where you know it gets cold and rainy all the time, and you can tell them they’re in they’re in their products they’re always built, for you know, kind of nasty weather, and this is a perfect example. This PFD has not only doesn’t have like a like a soft neoprene liner inside of it, but it also has hand warmer pockets in here behind the the front pockets that come in real handy on a cold night speaking of pockets.

If you want pockets, this is your kayak PFD. This thing has got 14 pockets on the front of it, and you know this is real popular, especially again in Pacific Northwest, but all over the place where you know kayakers may use their boat to get to the fishing grounds and then get out and wait or you know, walk around to to where they’re fishing and that way you can kind of take all your tackle with you.

It’s almost like a fly vest but a PFD at the same time, and we really like these low profile pockets like this real large one in the front, it’s perfect size for a cell phone and these small mesh pockets on the front. It even comes with these little foam inserts that you can use to stick to stick flies in, and you know every feature you can imagine there’s you know just pockets everywhere.

Coming out the front of this thing, but you know more than the pockets that we love about. This is again how comfortable it is. This is the kind of PFD you can wear all day, long wide, padded meshed, shoulder pads, for you know, comfort, ventilation, but also for padding adjustable shoulder pads too. That’s always important. This adjustable belt is inside the the PFD body. You know you can see the foam the mesh on the back of it.

You know again for breathability. Also, you have one strap on the side, but then this is covered in a breathable. It’s got like a honeycomb pattern material. Here, that’s breathable around all the way around the back, and what that does. Is it? Just you know, snugs down on the sides of your body due to you know, fits your form and this foam is also carved and also will bend to mold to fit your your body style.

So you know probably one of the most comfortable and function functional PFDs that we tested brand new out this year from Coco type. This is the Leviathan, so you’ll be able to check that out this spring and, like I, said we’re real lucky. You know we used to not be have an excuse to not wear a PFD, they were uncomfortable or you couldn’t find the right size or you couldn’t find the right one for you.

Well, there’s no excuses now, there’s something out there for everybody, and these are some of our favorites. From this year, I’m Rick, Burnley and you’re hooked up.

Hi, my name is Mary Snyder from absolute show you, our low-profile kayak fishing, vest that we are showcasing here at Outdoor. The back has a fire bag, so it accommodates all the kayak fishing as well as the lower mesh bottom. It is loaded with pocket the cargo pocket with the players just adjustment, and then it also does have a drop-down pocket that accommodates the tackle box for their accessories.

In addition to, please find pockets that are zippered and then also an accessory pocket, discuss retails for $79 99 and is available on an Excel or calm.

Welcome back YouTube, folks, let me ask you a question: do you think that having a lifejacket on board save lives? No, it doesn’t in fact wearing them does and we’re going to talk about a life jacket. I just picked up that I happen to like this is going to be an overview of the Onyx kayak-fishing PSD stick with Mir and get right to it now. Lois people think now Lois people say our way out at sea right, but according to the United States Coast Guard website, 9 out of 10 drowning actually happening in land, water and usually pretty close to say, dry land or to the boat things that nature, according their websites I believe it said it takes about 60 seconds for an adult’s around and about 20 seconds for a child to drown, and the thing about this is that United Coast Guard website also said that 85% of those drowning actually happened because people weren’t wearing – like this now most of us, it’s kind of common sense I like duh, but the thing about it is if people are taking the life of that on the boat with him, leaving them there and jumping in the water.

So the problem is: why aren’t you wearing the life vest? Well, it really comes down to eight either it’s not comfortable or be a little cool in a flipping, for instance, this guy he’s out of date, but he does not look cool and he’s bulky you try to peer under my chin is up. It’s just not comfortable where you think about putting this guy on you’re thinking about restricting your swimming, restricting your fun it’s just in the way, but the good news is.

We actually have much better technology much better design and the manufacturers of these PSD have really listened to what people say: they’ve come out much better options in and in with these much better course. This is onyx adult Universal, Time kayak-fishing. They actually see on EV earth on that this is actually called a kayak fishing, a type of a a PFD. Now, probably, as you can see from the fundus guy, it has all kind of pockets to it and these little things where you can put your fishing tackle and things of that nature.

Now one of the cool things that I thought was really neat. When I looked up, this particular PSD at the time that I bought it, and maybe even still there were no reviews on it. So this is just you know, kind of going without just you know, basically just with what the manufacturer says and not really knowing what people think sometimes I kinda like to roll the dice on them. But the cool thing about this is check out this back.

Ok, this back had mesh at the bottom and so your seat. When you sit your kayak, the actual pad apart in the back, should sit higher than the seat or at least pretty close, giving you that comfort. So you don’t have this part of the padding sitting where the actual seat is and it kind of shoving you doing that kind of tip forward to afford thing or either passing adjust your seat back a little bit, and so that’s really neat not only that, but gives you a little bit more breathability in the lower back now.

Let me give you some up-close information here. If you can read this, this is an adult Universal and, of course, its US Coast Guard approved, and it says that it is for 30 inch chest – about 50 – I should never just about everybody. They do have an oversized one, which I believe goes from 40 inch to 60 inches around the chest, and this is for 90 pounds and over, as you can read, so he covers a big. Definitely a big range of folks and I think that most people would find that just getting this thing would be I should fit it so now put to put this guy on you want to loosen up.

The chef’s course swing their over and give yourself plenty of room to be able to bend this guy, in hook the zipper which this isn’t really. My favorite part angular squeezed up now the first thing I’ll to say about this jacket as I. Do not like the fact that the platen, the zippers plastic, if you can note this hit right here, this guy actually flexes you can see that he flexes quite easily because he’s classic. Then you run the little joint apart here classic also now that’s the part that really concerns me.

If this guy goes no big deal with this pillow zipper, pull on I got some pretty cool is out there. You may have a little my phone things by Nature, but if this guy goes well, then we have a problem, and that really concerns me. Maybe I, don’t understand these PSD files from people do, but the thing about it is when you talk you down as nothing to do so to pull this you’re supposed to pull in tight enough, where this guy doesn’t ride up with pretty firm on your budget, you can still breathe.

Obviously so got that towards down and be the zipper is obviously taking a lot of that pressure. We met from pulling apart as I tighten this guy down on the side. It’s pulling open right here right, so that pressure is taking a lot of this in that plastic part. The other thing I noticed this is was a single stitch appears to be like a single stitch seam on both sides and, of course, I’m. A big fan of double stitching on anything that has pressure and such, but but maybe there’s not as much on it as I.

Think there is, but anyway, as you can tell, it, is a nice attractive type of PSP much better than my orange friend that I used early, which I think would like to books now. These guys in my barn, I believe it’s around $55 or something close to that negate. It was new I think it’s just recently coming up, but it’s packed with some cool stuff that you might like. Okay, first things, first I want to mention, let’s say: you’re a kayaker who likes to go out when it’s chilly weather you’re not held back by the weather you’re going to do some kayaking, no matter what anybody says.

They call you crazy, you’re, still going I know a couple. People might guess the pocket on the side here. So, if you could see, you in here are actually lined with self outer part. So you got your sick part here so you’re going to insulate when you got themselves to slide the hand in there huh slide out. Anyone in here you got yourself a couple little hand warmer spots, that things will be counter to it to people and not a lot.

People use cookies on their kayak piles of things that nature but you’re, just kind of stretching your legs, and maybe yours once have you don’t really like to wear gloves body balances? This is a nice little reprieve for those fingertips. I’m gonna tell you right now to stick them in here and the slanted line pockets, which I think was a brilliant move on mail now, I have a knows a lot of P of deep, so I really can’t tell you what this one has as opposed to what other ones have I’ve only known one additional one, which was just this turn too many ways adhering so anyways here.

This is pretty neat here in this pocket. You have this little bitty class spot that you can actually just push down on okay and it releases and when it releases check out this stuff part comes up. This guy lays open. That’s right, lanes, open and there’s like a little kind of it really with this plastic type of things. They turn this side. Did we get in that like where you can set? It’s got a little band in here where you can set a mini, tackle box or something like that.

It could be firm too quick, little pop-up, quick little tackle or something like that also has a little pocket here, that you can fix things down there, the best sweet or is that sweet now? The other thing that I would say about this is everything here is single stitch hem, so you know give out like a double stitching, but you may want to be easy and not too rough on and electric terrace did you the course that closes up pop.

It comes down over here to prevent a lot of water from getting in that class that bigger of X, then up here, you may notice at the top you’ve got these little rubbery lights, expanding spandex type of parts where you might be able to stick pencil. If you want to you, can actually hang your shades in there just put one interview shades in there and let them hang out or just whatever it is that you can imagine to stick down in here.

I think the picture shows them. I haven’t like seen. Your nail clippers, I, guess: I use it on their lawn or whatever, but you know you can even put scissors down there. Whatever you want to use that for it’s there, then you got this little hook. Part you can carabiner success to that. If you want to you, okay, that’s right! That’s a sneaky little deep pocket. I mean this pocket she’s a deep one, she’s a deep pocket. You can, you could do a one guy know he, like scary burritos in his there do you think mini burrito in there.

If you wanted to maybe a YUM Oh husband bars I like Clif bars and stick those in there, nice big pocket, not playing a line, and estimates got a lot of room in there for whatever looks like a tape, measure, type, pocket or whatever, but then got a lot of little attachment points here where you can hook your lanyards into these places to carry things and a little spot here to do a little carabiner. You also got this pocket snaps open here, and it’s got room down in it as well.

I think in a picture somebody put a yeah like a walkie-talkie in there it’s out there like a two-way radio. I just did a room. I just did a river two-way radio. You can little pocket it. Stick that guy right down in there carry two-way radio works out perfectly Amanda Court seat buttons closed and then underneath that I need to another pocket. It’s kind of a very commanding: stick runner, they’re very, very easily, just a nice big pocket.

It does have little holes, -, Velma tiptoes a little holes down here now that allow it to drink any water. In that it’s going to be able to drain out a little bit now. The US Coast Guard does cost you not to use these pads, the needle down on the ground with or to put on, like a bumper on your boat and things that nature, because they do say that mostly types of foam what’s their crush. They do ease some of the pointing message like comments, and so you don’t want to do that even but anyways.

Let me give you a side shot for this. Guy, okay, be a splatters! You have a low damage to them show, but there’s a high fat part right here or it can allow the feet, come up and your client and hopefully not get in the way of this onyx PSP so overall and then overview I, really like the PSD I, think that is a great design for the money, there’s one that are much more expensive as far as in this price range and as far as even being a little cheaper I, don’t think anything compares with the amount of caucus in areas they give you to be able to to put things and stuff and so an excellent, excellent, tough PFE.

Obviously I have been in the water with it. You know, which is why this is an overview and not a review, but I can’t imagine sort of thickness of 50, not keeping me afloat. It’s definitely the US Coast Guard says it takes about seven to 12 pounds of extra list to keep an adult floating and your head out of water, and so this is I believe is rated at 15 pounds. You know floating power, so it should exceed that and on 200-pound guy about five seven and I’ve got a little bit of a stomach here now the thing about this everybody wants to know about you know: does it ride up? Does it ride up laughs? Here’s the thing guys you got to get her tight and while you see a hug game, particularly you got to get her tight enough.

You know to where it doesn’t come up. Super music or at all and you’ll have a cramp down here. But if you have a stomach, you know you’re kind of guidance that beer belly uh it’s going to ride up guys just the way that it is big area to a little area when you get that water is, can either shift up. So if your big guy has something like this flying right up, you’re going to crank it down good and even then I, don’t know how that’s kind of work out for it I even for me, there’s a little concern that it’ll get a ride and stuff, but I’ll grind her down no problems.

What we’ll share with you guys I did talk about how a single stitch in a lot of places and I do like the fact of having double stitching, and maybe in these places where a single stitch, it really doesn’t, need it a lot Seamster or seamstress, or anything like that. I’ll have any close friends at our to ask, but one thing I did want to show you is that here, where it counts. Where these straps are connected, you can see where they’ve actually kind of really given a strong, a really strong seam here in all these places, and so even up top.

If you don’t know how well you consider that see that one in the gray, but it’s definitely got another aligned to strengthen it, so I did want to mention that kind of in their defense. That I was talking about how some of a single stick, but again that may be okay, but double stitch. Don’t knows and call the offensive is definitely a strong sticking where it counts to make sure that these guys aren’t getting pulled out anyway, but anyway for watching God to really appreciate that I do ask you to subscribe, because, like I said in earlier videos, I’ve got a lot of this gear coming in I picked up a lot of things thanks to a lot of you guys for tipping me off.

Nobody had this particular PSD, yet so I didn’t want to kind of get on and get some reviews out there. So people can kind of see it how it works one anyway, thanks anyway, thanks very much, and that was in the next video.

Hi, it’s neil welcome to my office and I got the stearns, uh and you’ll see what this is in a second here. This is a life vest. I believe I ordered um some white vests because I have my boat and I need a life for service. That’s the most important thing. I have some little portable-ish ones that uh are just the ones we pull when the air pills up, but actually ones that were already full and I didn’t want to spend the fortune.

So I went on amazon and found some inexpensive ones that seemed like they were rated decently. Well, and that’s what I got here so that’s what this one here is. It is um it’s a universal fit. I guess um adults, universal fit comes with all its boating and information. I don’t know what class it is. It’s a um, oh type, three type, three, so there you go so type three and I’m gonna.

Try it on and we’ll see how it is not sure what color it is. If it’s got a green or something like that, if it’s gray then you’ll be able to see it. If it’s green it’ll be like seats here in the back there, but I think this is red. So let’s try this on see how we do. I weigh about 182 pounds at this point, so you can kind of get an idea of what it will look like on you with different way a different different weight than me.

Let me see here what I do I mean I think I have to let the clips go in the back. First. Okay, try this again, so this is like a universal size one, so it should fit different people with different sizes. So you can kind of see I’ve got a little bit of space here and then let me loosen this up here. So let me put this one on here and this one here: okay, so there so now I’ve got it on me.

I’m going to tighten this up and take this up there, and this fits me pretty good. So you can kind of see that’s what it looks like. So you know I’ve got space here on the side inside so it’ll fit. So it’s not super super tight together, but there this fits, it seems to be good, got a decent uh, decent grab there. So that’s good, and so I like this one that seems pretty good to me.

Um it’s got the right amount of padding in there. It seems good. So, let’s see for the sizing now so now I weigh 180 something pounds 182, and so you can see this is how much extra loop there is. So you could expand these little suckers to something much much bigger. So, let’s see how big this gets. So this would be about as big as it’s gonna get here.

So I’m guessing it wouldn’t fit two of me in here. So you’re not gonna fit somebody who’s 360 pounds, but you might be able to get somebody who’s like 275 or so, or you can probably squeeze if they get there. If they’re, jiggly and jello, you could probably squeeze somebody who’s 300 pounds in here, but um. This is a big uh. You might want to get extra watch for them, but I I don’t even have any friends.

I don’t think that are that quite that big, so I think I’ll be okay, but I do have some friends that are like smaller, like 100 pounds, and so my 180 pounds fits on here pretty good. So I’m guessing there’s a lot more strap around here and here. Well this one here there isn’t a whole lot of tops of them, but I guess around here.

You don’t have too much to worry about, but um yeah, so it could definitely get a lot tighter than what I’m doing in here. So I’m guessing it’s going to fit these hundred pound uh friends of mine pretty high, so that’s gonna be good um and my kids um are they’re 20 years old, so they’re old enough, but I think it’s going to fit them fine as well.

So so here’s the let me take it. Oh it’s warm in here with this thing up. Okay! So, let’s see what the little instructions here I’ll show you, what the little thing says here so there you can see and then here’s a little deep pamphlet on the stuff for it about it, whatever it is, so it just tells you how to pick the right flotation device for the different uses, so type three is designed for a stable face face up position.

I think that’s what I needed was type three is what I was looking for. So that’s what I got my other ones that I have those little ones like type five, so those aren’t quite uh what I need for boating out in the ocean, they’re fine for my little paddleboard stuff and some of that other stuff that I do um. So there we go. So this is the camera with the brain, with stearns, stern’s life best and thumbs up from me, I, like it and I’ll, be uh using this on the boat.

Uh, probably not gonna go today, but I might go tomorrow. Okay, thanks for watching bye! Oh I don’t know if I said, but I’m gonna put a link to this. In the description. Be sure to subscribe to my channel and like my video, okay, bye.

This video will explain the automatic inflation, deflation, rearm and repack of the Onix am 24 and am 24 deluxe and fly table light jackets. This live jacket has a manual automatic inflation mechanism, a red indicator showing that the PFD is not ready for use an inflated chamber and oral inflation tube that can also be used to inflate the lifejacket and a protective fabric cover.

First thing we need to do is remove the discharge co2 cylinder. This is done by simply turning the co2 cartridge. Counterclockwise adults free from the flutter mechanism, notice the hole on the bottom of the co2 cylinder showing that it has been discharged discard the cylinder. Next, we need to deflate them plated chamber to do this. Remove the cap for the oral inflation tube turn over and depress the protrusion of the cap into the valve inside the tube with one hand depressing the valve and the oral tube press.

The air out of the chamber move the air over to the side of the oral tube repeat until all the air is out of the chamber, do not ring or twist the chamber when deflating replace a cap on the oral inflation tube with all the air out of the chamber. I can now rearm the mechanism, because this lifejacket was inflated automatically. You still have the green indicator clip present on the mechanism.

This is because the jerk to inflate handle was not pulled to inflate the lifejacket, but we see that the mechanism does have a red indicator here in the clear cap. They should tell you that this lifejacket is not ready to be used. I can now repack the lifejacket, so we’ll be ready to wear. First remove the used bobbin to do this. Unscrew the clear cap by turning counterclockwise and remove the yellow bobbin from the cap or the housing discard.

The old bobbin make sure there is no moisture in the mechanism, housing and spec to the date on the new bobbin. It should not be over three years from today’s date align the slots on the bobbin with the ridges on the inside of the threaded housing. The bobbin will slide in easily if installed correctly, install the clear cab until it meets the housing shoulders check that there is no gap between the clear cap and the shoulders of the housing.

Note. The green indicator that shows the bobbin has been installed properly now install the green indicator. Clip onto the side of the mechanism with the green indicator, clip in place, I will install the co2 cylinder from the rearm kit. First check the bottom of the co2 cylinder and make sure there are no scratches or holes. The cylinder has a half-inch thread, simply line up the threads of the cylinder with the threads of the inflator mechanism and turn the cylinder clockwise secure, firmly by hand before going out on the water should always check the green indicator clip and the green indicator at the bobbin.

Now, with the splicing mechanism rearmed, we can repack the lifejacket onyx inflatable lifejackets feature a reliable guide that helps place. The jerk to inflate handle make sure that jerk to inflate handle is placed below the chamber using the fold lines printed on the chamber fold. So yeah it’s been great and use it a couple times when I just pulled this and it’s it’s inflated really pops up, and you know I’m a pretty big guy. It may work just fine for me. You know about 200 pounds, so highly recommend it if you’re looking for something, that’s very kind of like a good ROI on cost and value. Alright, Jeff.

Hey guys, Dylan from O’neil here here to approved, vest this is going to be our lightest. Us Coast Guard approved, vest that we have because it uses our nitrile iPhone. Our nitrile iPhone is a process. You know standard 2, O’neill that we have and no one else can do or we inject the PPC with nitrogen to give it a lighter fit. So it’s 3/10 weighs three times less than PVC foam. The closed cell foam structure holds 15 to 20 percent, less water, and we can use approximately 10% last foam and float the same as any other vest with our natural light foam.

So the foam is amazing. Super light bass. Great things about this vest it’s an awesome price point best. It has your safety tab with your number 10 YKK zipper here. You have a concealed duel belt buckle system, so you can’t see it on the rest of the vest, except for on the front. You get your duel belts there and then, in the back that you’re, seeing here integrated lumbar support, so added comfort. In the back of the vast you have anatomical flex on this easier segments of foam structure and that’s your assault.

Us Coast Guard vest.
