Find the Vortex Optic that is right for you.
Designed for the AR platform, the Vortex Spitfire Prism Scope excels in close- to medium-range shooting applications when fast target acquisition is necessary. The prism-based design allows for a compact optical system while offering high-level quality. Lenses are fully multicoated with anti-reflective coatings to offer bright views in low-light settings. The red illuminated reticle features five levels of intensity to match your shooting situation. Etched directly on the prism, the reticle ensures shooters have an effective point of aim at all times, regardless if illumination is engaged. The 3X Spitfire utilizes the EBR-556B reticle, which is a hybrid with BDC drop references that subtend with the 5.56 cartridge. The reticle focuses on the rear ocular. The Multi-Height Mount System allows for 30mm and 40mm mounting heights. Flip caps keep lenses protected and free of dirt, dust and debris. Dual rails mounted on the 3X allow the optic to be joined with an offset, auxiliary-reflex sight. Shockproof construction stands up to recoil and impact. Nitrogen gas purging with O-ring seals delivers fogproof and waterproof performance. Hard-anodized matte-black finish. Available in 1X or 3X. Uses one CR-2032 battery (included).
Hello guys and Gail Buffalo here today we're taking a look at the vortex pit fire a. Or Kris on the scope OpticsPlanet sent. One over to the channel for us to take a look at I've actually had. It for a I wanted to get plenty of range time with. It before I put a video together. You would imagine this prism scope is designed for you. Some AR style rifles. It does have the aorta designation in its name after. It will work on any rifle. That need a or height sights. And has a real demand on I've got. One on my Glock carbine conversion. That for a couple of reasons number. One to show you can use. It on rifles and carbines other. Than the ar-15 it's its. Most other people that show. This sight on videos show. It on an ar-15 I thought I'd be a little bit different. This carbine conversion has a straight stock it's actually a m4 style stock with a pulse buffer tube. That gives me the same height the need for the same height sights as an ar-15 so. It works out great and the second reason. This carbon conversion. It hits the nine-millimeter since. Ionly have a pistol range.
And for the most part pistol rated targets. Ican get a lot more shooting done. And get a better opinion toward the disco. Ihad to have it mounted on. One file or 15 chambered in five six. That were the case I'd have to do a lot of my shooting up at the public range. And heck even take care of. It first so aggravating it there's always there's always a line of people waiting to shoot. You guys know how to eat so. You know what we've got here. And why I've got it in the school let's go ahead. And take a look at this is a 1 power prism scope it's. More like a traditional scope in a lot of ways. Then a red dot or a holographic sight the reticle is etched into the glass. It has a set amount of eye relief vortex lists the eye relief as 38 inches but I've got. One mounted at about 5. And a quarter inches from my eye. Istill get the full field of view speaking of the reticle. It consists of a three MOA dot surrounded by a 44 MOA ring and again by 140 MOA rings the 3 MOA dot is very clean.
And crisp it looks a lot smaller actually then. Some to MOA red dot sights. Ihave for the red dot kind of looks larger. That's because it flares as. You can see one doesn't have. Any flare to and the camera is not going to pick. This reticle up nearly as well as. It looks through the naked eye through looking directly through the scope I'm just trying to give. You guys a somewhat of a representation of what the reticle looks like through the camera. Another thing it is parallax free that's. Something it has in common with red dots. And holographic sights versus your average scope as. You can see I rock the camera back. And forth and down the dot stays put. Where it's supposed to be so. You don't have to have a perfect cheek weld every time. Or a perfect mount as long as the dot is on the target you're going to make a hit.
Ifound the center dot plenty precise for 100-yard shots with the little 9 millimeter carbine setups here for you guys. That don't know MOA is just a measurement. It stands for a minute of angle 1 MOA covers approximately a 1-inch circle at 100 yards. If you're if you're talking about looking at a red dot. Or a scope like this that's that's. What it boils down to so. One being 3 MOA the middle dot covers about 3 inches on a target at 100 yards. This scope really shines for speed quick target acquisition at closer ranges at 50 yards in 25 yards. Even actually at 25 yards. That middle ring that 44 MOA ring really useful. Ijust Center up my target inside.
That ring and as long as I'm inside. That ring I usually get a hit as far as. That outer ring goes. Inever use it kind of just bizzy's up the reticle to. Me that's just my opinion. You could use it maybe as a range finding tool. Something like that but as far as my use. Idon't use the outer ring but overall. Ido like the reticle. This spit fire gives. You the option to illuminate. Either red or green under normal lighting conditions. Ijust prefer to run the plain black radical with the scope turned in off mode but. This scope does give. You the options to run the reticle illuminated in. Either red or green. You can turn the Arita : by pressing. Either of the up or down arrow keys on the scope. You turn you will automatically go to the last setting you had. It was red at level 8 brightness that's the setting you're gonna return to. It was green at a level of 4 brightness that's the setting. That it'll return to. It remembers it set last.
You can switch between colors by pressing. Both buttons you press. Both buttons at the same time you'll switch between colors. You just want to turn the reticle back off press. Both buttons and hold. It in for about 3 seconds. And that'll turn the reticle back off for you. It does have 12 levels of brightness well. Isay 12 levels that has 10 normal levels of brightness. And then it has to very low levels to run with night-vision equipment the illumination feature runs on a single triple-a battery located inside the integral riser of the scope average battery life is listed at around 250 hours on the highest setting and 3000 hours on the lowest.
This thing does have. Some built-in battery saving technology. If the brightness has said at a level 8. Or higher and there are no buttons pushed for 2 hours it'll automatically dim to level 6. And after an additional 12 hours of no activity it'll turn itself off after. That pushing either button will return. It to your previous color. And brightness settings to big benefits. Isee here number one it's a triple-a battery. You can get that just about anywhere. And number two if the battery does die. You can still run it with the black critical which as. Isaid it's my preferred way of running it anyway speaking of the riser. It is integral you can't change the height of the scope. If you're wondering the height actually comes to about a lower third hole witness for backup sites but.
You can't you can run backup sites with. Ishot my backup sites with. It just to see I could but it's really not necessary you've got. That edge critical something catastrophic enough happens. You can't see through. That s critical you're probably not going to be able to see through. All so you'll need to yank. That off I might leave my backup sites on. This is not my main defensive weapon. Anything I might leave my backup sites on. It in case I ever need to pull. That off for some reason. Idon't see that happening but I'll leave them on there just in case. One thing I don't want to forget to talk about is the fact. This scope does have a focus ring you can focus the reticle which is just from. What I hear for people with the astigmatism. Or other vision problems. Where the can't use a ribbed outside. Or a holographic sight. It looks all fuzzy. Or a comma shaped something like. You can actually focus the riddle to your eye so. That helps a lot for people with those problems.
Ifirst got the scope out of the box. It had sort of like a negative magnification look to. It made it kind of weird to shoot. Both eyes open but I just did. This ring until everything looked. Even with both eyes open. Now it's just perfect so fantastic scope for shooting with. Both eyes open I do recommend playing with. This focus ring until. Everything looking the same out of. One eye as it does the eye that's not the same out of the eye that's looking for the scope as the. One that's not that's. What I'm trying to say. You can play with that focus ring until. It there I'll show you guys the wind age. And elevation adjustment turrets here. These are quick adjust able. One quick is a half MOA at 100 yards again. We talked about this earlier the MOA thing. That equates to about a quarter of an inch per click at 50 yards.
Or an eighth of an inch per click at 25 yards the clicks aren't as positive as. Some scopes I felt but. It is usable it returns to zero pretty good wish those quakes were a little. More positive but I can't feel the clicks. And it's cold out here. And I'm using these gloves. Ican feel them better without the gloves on but that's a benefit of having those really positive clicks on. Some scopes you can feel. Even with your gloves on these turrets are index able. You can use the included Torx head wrench to remove. That Center not very Center screw. This thing zeroed you can pull. It off let me get a better view on. That okay, so I'm just going try to show. You real quick it comes with. This wrench just remove. That Center screw once you've got the scope zeroed to.
You want you can remove. That screw it's hard to handle. These gloves on but I've got. It there takes your cap off set. It to zero there's a dot here set. It to zero put it back on replace your screw. You need to make wind age. Or elevation adjustments in the field. You can just look down. And return to zero just. That easy you don't have to worry about counting clicks. Anything like that makes. It pretties handy it also comes with. This five six BDC dials. You can use on the elevation turret. It is marked in yardage. Than MOA 100 200 300 400 500 600. And 700 yards than having him away adjustments so. That would be up to the person running and. If they wanted to add. Ihaven't tested this to see. How accurate it is it's its dialed in to be used with certain MO I'll try to put. That on the screen here which ammo. This is set for but just really handy.
They include these features the scope is about 43 inches long. It weighs 112 ounces. This thing is rated for use in temperatures between negative 22. And 122 degrees Fahrenheit. All right guys so I covered. Everything I wanted to cover I'm known for leaving stuff out in my video sometimes so. Iforgot something you can mention. It in the comments if you've got a question about. This scope leave it in the comments. Ican't get to every comment anymore but. Isee the same question coming up three. Or four times you know I'll get in there. And answer that question the best. And maybe pin that comment. Where others can see. Ido like this scope. Irecommend it's a great little scope for hunting or for plinking just general range work. Even for a shooting competition be nice little scope for. That's because it's a it's very fast especially like. Iwas saying earlier about. That Center the center circle.
More for close range stuff. Ido the actual middle dot so. And of course it's backed by vortexes warranty their VIP warranty they've got a great reputation with their warranty department so. You do have that going for you too on a scope like. This so not going to quote an exact price prices go up. And down when newer models come out. And stuff like that so just go over. Igo over to optics planet look at them. You can see what the price is over there. You do buy anything at OpticsPlanet. It doesn't have to be. This scope you can use the code buffalo at checkout. And that'll save few dollars on your checkout so that's. Igot I'll talk with y'all again soon

you do what's going on guys Arizona guy back up into the video. Ihope you had a great holiday Christmas New Year's. Ihad a blast with my family great great times so today's video be a little unboxing video on my new red dot for my 300 blackout SBR. Ilove these things guys for the price. You pay these are just as good as 188. One H two is gone on I on. Both of them and this thing it's a bake first but I'm serious guys great little site great warranty so let's dive in a little bit closer. And I'll show you what comes in the box be right back alright guys welcome back here. We go got a spark a our red dot from vortex guys I'm impressed with. This uh with the sil site I'm so happy with. It that I have three of them. Now it's woman great little optic let. Me show you guys the features on. It before I tear up the box. Idon't know dies of. Me there you go you want to freeze the screen they're hard anodized low glare matte black finish pear likes free a limited eye relief versatile multi height mounted system long-lasting triple-a battery it's a two MOA. And there's some more specs for you. If you want to freeze. That the length is two point nine inches the weight seven point five ounces lens diameter is 22 millimeters. Irelieve some limited max brightness 300 hours guys on. One battery that's the estimated time minimum brightness level says 5000 hours.
That is crazy guys and. It comes with the mounting system to mount on your weapon let. Me refocus the camera. All right so what do. We get in the box we get a instruction manual. You get the optic you get. Some screws you get an adapter plate a battery. And the mount that will go on your rifle so let's put. This together first thing let's put the battery in that's pretty tight that's. What she said oh I know. Ididn't use myself sorry. What can I say now two screws back on cheese come on going on here alright open up the lens caps that's. Another thing guys I like for the price. You paid 200 bucks I think. You get a rubber like a. You know a cover that protects the optic with lens caps. And it's already on. That is pretty bright very nice let. Me show you guys there.
You go says parallax free unlimited eye relief great lens very nice let. Me put it in the brighter sitting show. You guys look at that very nice little optic let. Me zoom it in that to show. You guys says Sparkie are their doctor vortex emblem got your adjustment there as well on the right side the front of. It has got the battery compartment. One triple a battery. And these lens covers. They actually snap together. Ijust snap it all the way. And it'll stay locked up. While you're shooting me weapon so there. You go let's go ahead. And install the baseplate. Iguess we'll put these lens caps on for now until we're done so here comes the mounting bracket. You will get and you'll get. Some screws I believe just like my other two Sparky ours.
Ihave to use the shorter screws so. You take him out of the bar will place the mount like so. Where is our um where is my wrench oh here. It is okay guys it does come without with an adapter plate. If you want to come in. This with your sight your iron sights. Idon't run iron sights I'm a 300 blackout backup site, so I'm gonna straight up run. This optic so I'm not gonna use. That spacer but it does come with. One if you need one. And if you do use. It you'll have to use the longer screws. That vortex does provide so keep. That in mind you don't want to use the longer screws with just the mountain here.
If you do you'll tap out the screws on the plate. And if you keep screwing them down you'll actually strip the threads on the optic which. You don't want to do. That's because then. You have to send it off to war Tech. And explain to them. What the heck happened to your up. It, so I don't use a lot of tight on these screws. Because they're gonna be mounted against the rail of the weapon so. Idon't see them backing out at. All you know what I mean the weapon go right flat against. This, so I don't think it's gonna go anywhere we'll go ahead. And unscrew this now. What I'll do I'll put. Some walk tight on the screw right here right there I'll put.
Some Loctite so it stays nice and firm on the weapon I'm gonna keep. This optic we're gonna mount. It like so, and we're gonna screw down the screw like so. And you give it a nice tug. You want to let the Loctite set. Or at least 24 hours before. You start shooting a weapon. Or it's not gonna get. It enough time to set so basically they'll be pointless. You know just the weight of your time. You have to put some. More on and wait again so guys just be patient put. It on and weapons clear by the way guys. Idon't know if I talked about. This rifle this is my home defense SBR. This is a suppressed SBR bringing a blackout 10-inch barrel running a Yankee 30 Cal suppressor. This thing is nice guys. Ilove it I actually. Ireplaced a hand guard. Because I wanted to suppress. It to kind of sit inside a little bit so. Igot this really bad ass Deacon's hammer oh.
Ilove this guy's running off santan tactical billet upper. And lower this is sweet. Because it's ambi on. Both sides for a mag release slides slide release. Both sides safety both sides. This is my baby guys. Ilove this thing it shoots very nice have no issues with. It whatsoever it's pretty lightweight for being and. You know 300 blackouts with the long rail. And a suppressor the suppressor guys is its it's very heavy it's a stainless so a lot of the weight is on the front of the rifle but god. Ihave to check this out man look at. This I love the fore grip. Ishoot like this very nice I'm gonna keep. This thing black I was gonna send. It off to Karl at leisure precision. And have them do a wicked seracote job.
Some kind of camo but. Idon't know I think. Iwas gonna keep it as is. Ilike it like that's nice red dot oh man. What do you guys think about my three meters BR. Ilike it alright guys well. Ijust wanted to show. You my new red dot for my 300 blackout. Ihighly recommend this red dot for the price. You pay you get a lot of features great warranty ad vortex not to mention well I'll catch. You in my next one stay safe out there.
This has just come out introduced at SHOT Show 2014 the spark — starts out with a solid piece of aluminum for the housing for your optic. This is black anodized a matte finish very nice-looking very well finished. It does come with three different riser configurations actually four. And we're going to look at. We talk about the mouth. It has of course wind age. And elevation and then. You have a battery cap here. All of these are tethered with a steel cable the controls are right here toward the rear of the site. You have your own button here. And then you have your adjustments. And down to increase the intensity. Or decrease the intensity of the red dot. And of course this is going to be different. Then our spark, and we're going to look at. That in detail in just a minute the scope caps are flip up very nice easy to remove. These will also fit on the spark.
One here we have sparked to write on the rubberized housing and then of course. Everything else is aluminum the lens is multi coated. All surface to internal surfaces are multi coated there degassed with nitrogen gas. That keeps out all the oxygen which can set up condensation inside the scope so. This make this fog proof waterproof but. One of the things that also does. It gives a lot of clarity. And brightness to the lens. And the dots are really easy to see it's an excellent small. One MOA dot there are 90 Moas of adjustments. Both in wind age and elevation. One full rotation is 45 Moas. It is an unlimited eye relief so. It doesn't matter it on your rifle pronounced parallax free as well. And that's one thing that's really important about. This diet is that no matter.
You place your head. Wherever the dot is the point of aim so. You see the dot you're on target. And of course if your sighted in. It weighs five point nine ounces. And then with the mount in. This setup it's six point nine ounces just under seven ounces. Now the weight on the spark two. And the spark are the same. Idid see in one place. They said that the spark too late a little. More but I weighed them directly with the same mounting systems. They were exactly the same weight the scope is three. And a quarter inches in length it's. One point nine two inches from the extreme width here on the spark. One it's actually a little bit wider.
This housing was a little bit wider. This is actually the same scope body as the spark. It does use the cr2032 three volt battery under. This cap now here's pretty much. What you get with the spark two. You get three different base heights. This is your full 37 millimeter base height. This is going to give. You absolute ko witness for your ar-15 platform so you're really going to need. This with the AR then. We have a spacer which raises. This three millimeters. This is going to give. You lower one third coitus with the site I'm going to do an upcoming video of the differences between absolute Co witness. And then with the one third lower Co witness, but we'll talk about. That later and then here. You have your low mount. This gets it down to 18 millimeters.
This is great for pistol. And shotgun you really want to get your site really low in your rifle. You can add the spacer to. It to make 21 millimeters as well. And of course you can find all. This in your owners manual. You get a hex key and then. You get a little Torx wrench. You get screws for the mounting and. You get extra screws as well. You get an extra battery. And then you get of course the flip up caps. And then a little cleaning cloth. Now I'm personally going to go with the 1/3 CO Witness site, so I'm going to use the large base with the spacer. And then that will require a little bit longer screws at the bottom of the mount. You have four screws which correspond with the four screws in the mount. And the riser first thing you want to do is put the riser on top of the mount then just correspond. This little notch which. This really holds it into place lock. It in almost like a puzzle. Now here at the bottom. You have cavities this relieves weight of the mount.
And we're going to put our four screws right into. These screw holes you're going to use your Torx wrench to do. Ilike to put just a touch of gun grease on the end of the torch wrench. This is going to actually allow. It to hold the screw into place. Now adding just a touch of Loctite to definitely be a good idea except a keep them out secure. This mount stays pretty secure but. This is not going to hurt. And then you just turn. It just get it tight. And snug at first not too tight until. All four screws in now we're ready to mount. This to the rifle now mounting this on a Windham weaponry NPC carbine. One of the reasons I wanted to do. That was the fixed front sight the a2 sight. And to show you could use. Igot a lot of questions.
Idid the vortex Spitfire with. This work with a fixed sight. Ilike backup sight, so I'm going to add. One of the mbus rear sights to co witness with my front sight. Iwanted to mount the mbus first. That will show where I'm going to put. These vortex part too. We need the allen wrench for the screw. That goes in the mount ok we're going to go ahead. And find the place we want to mount our mount. We have unlimited eye relief so. It doesn't really matter. You want to put it up front. You like riding it up front. You go to bring it back closer it's up to. You go ahead it into place. And of course there's Loctite already on the bolt. This was done at the factory. Now we're just going to tighten. You want to get it snug but not too tight. You don't want to damage your Pirating rail good solid. And secure now the spark 2 is also compatible with the endpoint t1 quick detach mount.
And other aftermarket mounts. That are very similar to the t1 so. That gives you a lot of options with the spark go ahead check our back sights of course. We got plenty of room. Now here's the spark 1. And the spark to this spark 1 does not have the riser so that's the only difference as is but as. You can see right away. You can look at the spark 2. And think it's a totally different scope a lot of. That has to do with. These scope caps and the original spark. These rubber scope covers. One of the problems with. This which I found pretty right away was. It has two tethers on. Each side they broke off not long after. Ireally like the scope caps they're much better just better quality also here on the controls. One of the big things. That really led to a lot of the changes with the spark 2 is right here is your own. And off switch for your spark so. You do is click it turns on. One of the problems. Even see the red dot from here. One of the problems was is.
This could inadvertently be turned on the outside of the scope so instead. They went with the button here. You see your one MOA dot we're going to just go ahead. And increase the tensity. It really gets bright in fact. Ipointed this almost directly to the Sun. Icould still see the red dot. And of course then it lowers down very dim. This is a night setting below here you're not going to be able to see. And that's one of the differences as well with the two scopes here on the spark. It has the up-and-down settings but then the night vision setting is right here, so they've done away with. And just made it at the lowest setting here on your control as far as the dotted it's the same as the spark -. And then we can just bring it down I'm going to show. You the night setting you just hit. That outside button.
It drops it again it brings. It back up it's very intuitive. Ido like the spark. One I'm using it on a rifle right. And I'm going to keep. That way but the spark — to. Me has a lot of advantages it's going to be a little brighter. Then I'm showing right here but. It really does well I've been shooting it about the halfway point. All day long okay my initial test for accuracy right in here was sighting in the vortex just getting the first. It was shooting here to the left. It moved over I really wanted to bump. It up a little bit so. Ishot a couple of rounds bumped. Because at fifty yards. Iwanted to have it up just a touch. This was of course with the vortex part — using HP r 55 grain v-max HPR is excellent ammunition. And so got I wanted. This was with the MPC carbine by Windham weaponry an excellent rifle. And easy to see targets easy to see targets calm. These are great targets. They just really show up well the vortex is good — -4 degrees.
And up to a hundred. And fifty-eight degrees Fahrenheit so. This scope is excellent for any condition. That you're going to face. This scope is really rugged as shockproof it's going to handle. Any kind of recoil this will just keep. It on target as long as. You mount it correctly. This scope will stay on target okay I've got my rifle sighted in. This is at 50 yards pretty much. It just a little bit above the target of 50 yards after the drop test in the bump test same thing shooting a little bit just over the target of course. Idid get that were a little bit low as. You can see no difference in point of aim after the bump test.
One of the things that was included with the original spark was a 2x magnifier. This just screwed directly into the scope. That the eye relief was not. That great and really your field of view is awful. And never used one of these. And really I can understand why they left. It out of the spark -. Another big advantage with the spark — is. That it's easy to get to the battery has thumb controls right here so. You can just turn it by hand very easy the tether rides on the inside. And the groove so it retains the cap. And then here you have your cr2032 battery of course. All the entry points are overing sealed. This is also going to keep dust dirt.
And mainly water out of your optic. Some scopes that I've messed with in the past are really a pain to get. That battery cap back on so. This is really an advancement to. Me as far as usability. Now here with the spark. You need a tool actually I've loosened. This up just a little bit but a tool is required. Some kind of spent shell. Or a quarter to get. This off me is just not as ideal as being able just to do. It by hand every time. Now here we have the 2354 3 volt battery it's a little bit less common. Then your 2032 but to be honest with. Ihaven't had a lot of trouble getting these batteries. Either to switch the light off. You just press down. That top button for five seconds same thing with the spark. You had to depress your control button here for five seconds to power down.
That keeps you from inadvertently shutting the scope off. You like I have an issue with leaving my optics on. One of the good things about the vortex 2 is. It has a 5000-hour battery life on the minimum setting and that's 208 days but. One of the good things is it'll shut off automatically after 12 hours. Now at full power it will go for 300 hours but then again after 12 hours. It shuts off so you leave your optic on it's going to shut off automatically but. Now the spark it was only 120 hours of battery life on full setting but. It shut off every 6 hours. You have the spark one don't lose heart. You still have the VIP warranty which means. That no matter what they have a lifetime warranty on these scopes. You deliberately tear. This scope up they will replace. It so that's that's huge especially in the optics market.
One of the things about the wind age. And elevation caps is you'll see. This little bar here. That allows you to do is to take the cap. That little bar can be turned around into. This corresponding slot. You can adjust your wind age. And elevation that way. It just get it lined up. What you do you can turn. It to be honest with. Iwould much rather use a spent casing because. It is a little bit of a trick to pull. It around but this can be used. And in the field you don't have. Something this is great to have. Now the MSRP on the spark 2 is 289 dollars. And that's not any different. Than the original spark at Three Rivers precision. You can get this for a hundred. And ninety-nine dollars.
And then you get a 10 percent discount using suits zero. You check out so that gets. It down to a hundred. And seventy-nine dollars for a great optic. And the other side of. That is it has the VIP unlimited warranty. And so as long as you own the scope lifetime. They will replace it no matter. What happens to and of course. Iwant to thank the guys at Three Rivers precision. They supplied this optic for me to review. And it's really great to be able to have sources. That value the YouTube community to bring these things out here to. And to help you guys make a real solid choice on what goes on your rifle listen. Us have a rifle for home defense for self defense for national defense. And being ready and set is just the way to go be strong be of good courage god bless america long live the Republic but. Iknow out one guy was talking about.
Ican get it on how. Many clicks but alright maybe that'll show up okay there. You go maybe shows up there in the camera hopefully you'll notice. It shows up in my lighting there's kind of. It almost looks like a little blob. And just inside the lens that's in their kind of on a threaded surface that's actually supposed to be there it's. They admit er you can see. It does kind of block out the full circle not. Something that people say. They really notice when you're using it so don't be alarmed. That in there it's supposed to be there okay just shut. It off hold the down button for five seconds. And it's off again 12-hour shut off. You forget you do have to use. This proprietary star wrench. You can get these star tools other places. All right I'm going to mount. This up on the rifle no.
Iput my cover back on. All right let's see. Ican get you a little glimpse. What it looks like it on Fulbright so there. It is of course I do have. It pretties close. It down here in basement right. Now for a co witness there. It is Co witnessed our going without. That space there's definitely the way to go. Ireally like it co-ed. This is good and real easy to acquisition with of course. You know you want to try to keep. That other eye open that's kind of the idea of these real easy to get your site on target. And still kind of have the awareness of what's going on I'm no expert just guy making youtube vids range time you.
It there's two buttons on the front. One to make the brightness sitting go up. And down so ten different levels of brightness the lens caps on here are not removable well of course they're removable from the front but. They stay on there I kind of like. You don't have to fumble with an extra part. Or stick something in your range bag. One triple-a battery the battery life depending on the brightness sitting is somewhere between 300 hours. And 5000 hours of course have not tried. Now what's really neat is the battery cap will come off. You can use that battery cap as an adjustment tool to get the other caps off. These caps can be used to adjust the wind age. And the elevation what it came with was a simple box I'm gonna read. You a little bit of the specs off the Box length is about three inches the weight is 75 inches lens diameter millimeters.
Idoing reading doing a good job guys. And the eye relief of course is unlimited so it's not magnified it's a 1x optic it's parallax free it's waterproof shockproof. And fog proof it rates really high. Iwent through today. Everything I could find online about. This optic and people really seem to like. It rates high on Amazon as well. And for me I go in with confidence on day number. Ireally do like Amazon use especially products. Even like that have a ton of reviews. Ialways feel better the directions. It came with were really well done super simple to install. It comes with everything. You need including the battery. You can install it at a couple different levels. It up pretty high and I'm gonna Co witness. This with my iron sights the next time. It at the range now at the range. It performed perfectly installed really well. And then it to the range. Iwas able to sight.
It in perfectly I have an abuse. Ihaven't beaten this is not. That I'm probably gonna beat up with a coke bottle but overall for me. Ireally like now here's the only negative for me. And maybe a question for y'all is. It did not have torque specs on here. How far to torque it down with my torque wrench so. Iwasn't really sure. Ijust kind of snugged. Ididn't go overboard on. It so for me that was the only thing I liked to have seen in the directions but overall. Ireally liked it looks good. It rates high I like the price at $199 again there's a link in the description. And again would love to hear. What y'all think this is the spark AR red dot from vortex so far so good for me I'll be back later.
More time with it but for me. One trip to the range. And with the install. And doing my homework. Ireally like it a big thumbs up for me I'm Johnny. And I'm happy

Everybody I was needing me an insight to put on my AR pistol. Ithought I'd pick up. One of these sight marks. This is the ultra shot plus reflex sight. What the box looks like a pretty little box here's. All the different reticles. You can see the circle of the diet the cross was going to die then the circle would just little things are in the sides at the bottom there it's also a red. Or green I've never owned stock mark before so. Iwant to give one of these guys a shot. What I had on my art pistol. That in the beginning was Bushnell TRS 25 which worked really good but. This with a ruler mark 4. Ijust want to throw. Iwant to try something different for my pistol so. Ipicked up something mark I've already been through long is empty here's the side itself. It takes the cr2 battery which goes in right here cause you're owning off. This is your brightness level right here quick detach. You know just pull that lever stick. It on there and tighten. It back up something there you're up. And down gives you're up. And inside the signage is right the lenses right there. It comes a little allen wrench right here to just.
That with it also comes with a little tool little wrench to tighten up. This little there's a little nuts little screw right there logistical thing right here's. This little wrench goes down in there which allows. You to tighten up your equip detach it's — Lucien tightens up is too tight. You can loosen up if I've had. This for a couple of months. And I've shot a few hundred rounds through. It on my AR pistol I take it off. It back on I change reticles. One thing I've not done to. This change the battery it's still running on the same battery. That came with but you know who knows. How those batteries are anyway I'm just going to keep running. That battery until because I'm a backyard shooter I'm not.
Idon't need an endpoint. Or a do take all those high dollar ones. You know that should be nice to have but. Ijust don't need one I've always been really good look at those little Bush snails but like. Ijust want to try a little stock mark. And it's held up really good will about 250 rounds do. Something like I don't think it's quite been 300 rounds to. Yet the only thing I can tell one is right there he's a little bit of paint its kind of chipping off. Or coming off on because I've had. Iwould so many times messing with. If it's going to hold zero which. And so far so good. Idon't think in a daylight here you're going to be able to see through the rich correct ago let. All the way up we've got five different settings. You can lift all the way up let's just circle with a Doppler Center. And take her down there. You go there we go I'm next to Bryce.
You just touch your power button up here. It turns it from green to red. You can cycle through the projects let's do. What I want to do I want to wait till it's dark. And just turn it off won't wait till it's dark. And then I want to try. Something to show you guys. All the radicals to. It is just a lot easier. Iguess for you guys to see. It comes with a neoprene cover which. Once it's only a rifle for me anyway for your pistol. Whenever put it on good look get in the background. This thing is just super tight. Ijust got this with. Because it's lighter. It brought this levels for different size options comes a little rag here to clean your lens with.
That comes love my works as. It comes with some directions but. You don't know that right. Now held register it's just. Someone else's opinion anyway but anyway that's. Igot just a little bit of shooting footage also up here. Idid a couple of minutes it's about a couple minutes of just. This on the AR pistol let's just throw. It on right you can see kind of what it looks like, so I'll talk about. That quickly Tash so. Now that's that fast. Idon't have any kind of backup stops on. What I've said I've got my AR rifle set up a backup side sooner. You know that stuff but. This is just a fun gun for backyard. Me my son likes to shoot. It's an ATI Omni. If there're any questions on. This thing is running beautiful.
Imean it's its just a great looking with. Or a great running a little pistol so. Idon't keep the video kind of short. Ican but that's what it looks like on the pistol, so I'll so. It shoot video in here. Iget a chance to do. That but not times things showing you guys through the record wall I'll tell. You here take so as always guys thanks for watching hanging out. You next time for a couple pings hey guys. Ithought I'll show. What the rentals look like in a dark that's the circle the dot in the center its kind of blurred out on camera but it's actually pretty clear. You leave this to your eye. And it's on high they start going down there're five settings yeah that's right that's the lowest setting that's actually. What the brightest one looks like. You just look at this but the camera kind of blurs.
And back to the high switched over to the Reds. Ican find it now there's the red sir let's switch them that's the circle the dot of course I'm sitting here in the pitch dark. You can see when there's the cross just take. It down to look I can see. This camera is a kind of licking it washout there's your cross here's your dot. And that's the cross with a circle. And a dot to get back to green sea. Any green dot green cross. And there's that green circle of azad trying to fumble around the dark just turn. It down there you hold. It in for just a second comes out hold. It in for another second. It comes right back home. And use the sine button the power button turns over a degree.
You have to unscrew. This cap here to replace the battery the user can also make elevation. And wind age adjustments elevation adjustments are made by rotating this screw. And wind age adjustments are made by rotating this screw. And for this purpose ex atonal tool is. Provided in the box as. You can hear clicks are crisp. And audible also turret feel is nice. Imean clique feel the screw for adjusting wind age is a little bit. More stiff and a little bit. More difficult to turn. This screw for adjusting helluva is counterclockwise. This screw for adjusting elevation is clockwise which might confuse.
Some one-click moves the point of impact for 1m away which is approximately 3 centimeters on 100 feet 100 meters. You make the adjustment. You move the entire housing which is also a nice feature along with the vise. And hexagonal — you also get a lance claw a nice neoprene cover to protect the device. When you're not using it. This user manual the device also comes with a integrated pica tiny weaver mount sight mark claims. This device operates from minus 10 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius. It has a warranty period of three years. Now let's move on with optical characteristics the device operates on.
One times magnification so looking through the glass is very comfortable there could have been less a blue tint which is probably very apparent on the video which you're watching but. We have to keep in mind. This is a device for 130 euros. That price the view through. This glass is than decent the user can choose from five illumination settings by rotating this rotary knob here on the left side but. More interesting is. That user can choose from four different attic radicals which are depicted right here. You can see them you simply switch from. Another by turning this switch. And then you can just set the desired illumination intensity. What is a little bit odd is. That there is no off switch between levels of intensity the device turns off.
It is emitted in the middle of two levels but there is no special position for this meaning. That the knob doesn't click in position between numbers. This is not that good to sum up. What we like about this product is definitely its big window. And the fact it is a very lightweight device for its size then a nice feature is as well. You can choose between four different shapes of radicals. This the feature you move the entire housing when 0ng device. We also like the fact. This device comes at a low price. And has a nice price performance ratio so the things. That could be improved is perhaps. This blue tint you can see. And the fact that there is no off position between levels of intensity so at. Some point the device does turn off but. It is difficult to tell just by feeling the knob. You have to look deceived. It has actually turned off so. If you're looking for an entry-level red dot sight as regards price with a good price performance ratio. They big window for a quick target acquisition then sight mark ultra shot is the right choice for you.

You hey guys Adam here for text optics. Now kicking the vortex nation asking about carry optics on pistols. And USBs a division our products for. That would be the piper red dots integrates with the common mount actually. We share it with I believe the first sapphire. Or they share it with. Is I'm not sure what that's our best recommendation for it is the red dot that's just lowest to the center of the board so it's going to give. You the best sight picture the best grip for presentation on to the target battery life is anywhere from 150 hours on the highest setting to 30000 hours on the lowest setting MSRP on. This is about 329 bucks so. This is one of the. More affordable options for carry optics law online vortex optics comm check. It out and will be set up.
You know heart focused front sight low focus rear sight that's pretty much. How it is in real life so here are the buttons here on the side like. Isaid real tactile. They protrude just a little bit but. Idon't think that you'll hit. It with your body like. Isaid it's going to be a first impressions video. Ineed to go get a holster made for this gun here so here are the adjustments. It gets bright see how bright. We can get it into it's probably going to wash. It washes it okays it's not coming out on camera oh that's bright in real life I'm looking at. It from the top here still get. It to a viewfinder it looks pretty good we're outside.
It is daylight so that's pretty much. How it is there parallax free. And in mounts really low the. This is the Glock MOS so. Idon't know how it is for the MMP core. Or any other pistols. That have four red dot sights but. These two screws where the screws are holding the plate on the Glock comes with the plate the cover plate to take. You know cover the recessed part here on the slide. And those are the screws. They were on it so basically. Itook those screws out find the plate. Ineeded which was the number. One and mounted it to. That the number one is kind of universal. Because it fits this. One on the it's got four holes four bolts. Or screws for these little really mini red dots adjustments are pretty nice they're not clicked adjustments.
It just feels really stiff to turn. It and up and down. Idid not turn the only thing I did was turn. This to the right a little bit to get. It to be on the Glock sight post. Or the front sight I got Trijicon sights on here. These are suppressor night sights but first impressions the glass seems real clean. Ilike the glass row. You know you can see through. It pretties nice the little bluish tint. You know really makes. It picks up that site a little bit better in my opinion shows a budding person. That looks it looks. More clear looks clearer. Then it is uncle no but. You can see the contrast from the trailer to the trailer looking at. It for here and hopefully it's a good sight hopefully the battery life. Idon't know exactly. What it is, so I'm going to try. It like right now I have it's its too high sea for the naked eye that's perfect for me in real life so see.
It looks real dim here on camera but it's a three times brighter. Than that in real life. And it's daytime so their little mods. Igot to it I've got the fucking trailer from zeph. And I got this F mag will cut beaver tail. Because with the zev mag well. You can't mount this screw with the beaver tail. When he comes over down so that's fine. Though I cut the I cut the beaver tail a little short. And it makes it a little straighter here for my hand fits really good. You know this site. Now the trigger pulling this thing is freaking crazy light well. Imean I crazy light with its real light it's probably a little bit on their four pounds. Ibet anything it's a little bit on there. Or just a little over four pounds which is pretty nice. Imean you pay $200 for a trigger system. It better improve something but. More than anything I like the way. It feels on the trigger on the finger on just the shoe fits really nice. You know it recesses in.
And it makes a real nice flat. Yet round feeling trigger so there. It is its focus the Glock 19. And Wes with the Viper red dot.

well thanks for visiting the channel here guys we're doing a little unboxing today. Icouldn't make it the shot show so. Ibrought a little bit of shot show here. Iordered the brand-new just out vortex crossfire red dot we're gonna unbox. This bad boy take a look at. And give some first impressions okay let's get. This guy opened up so. Ipicked this off I wanted to do a smaller dot for by a K. Iwanted I have a strike fire on there. Iwanted something a little bit smaller a little less bulky. Ididn't want the traditional like a reflex sight. Iliked the red dot but. Iwanted something simple. This thing hit the market. And a lot of places don't have. It in stock this from Midway 129 bucks at the time of the video obviously manufacturer suggested recalled retail price of 219, so I'm sure 129 wells I'm sure. You can get it cheaper in the future. You know once they're come out. They hit the market but 129. Ithink is great price Oh manual. Me get rid of that okay so it's a 2 MOA dot okay which is. Something I was looking for a smaller dot which is why I didn't go with like a viper. Or venom one of the reflex sights. Iwanted something a little bit smaller. You don't like a real small dot obviously. This isn't for you it's red dot only unlimited eye relief it's parallax free okay. It is not magnified it's a 1 X okay. You can see it comes with a little uh little rubber.
You know lens covers okay. It does come with two mounting heights. What they would say would be like the AR I'm sure. And then this little low mountain guy that's I'm sure. What I'm gonna be using to get. It real close to the rail on an a K. It is a CR twenty thirty-two battery yeah comes with. One maybe might come with. Idon't know I've gotten before. They send you an extra well have to see it's got eleven brightness levels which is the knob on the side here. And then it's just you know regular old sighting you know up. And down left and right in the back. And that's it's a really simple red dot which is. What I wanted does have coated lenses. It is waterproof it's a lumen embodied it's two. And a half inches long. Iwould say probably an inch. And a quarter ish high without the base.
And it's their saying at medium. Or medium level medium brightness they're saying seven thousand hours which is pretty awesome so let's get the battery in. This guy and we'll see. It looks okay so this it's the CR 2032. This says CR 2032 this is 1623 nopes 1632 that's. What they sent me so after going to the store. And coming back I've got the right battery but thanks a lot vortex. Me three bucks for a battery maybe. Ican hit him up for some swag. We could use a new vortex hat anyway so quarters always work to get. These things off the grid I'm pop. This battery in well look at. Even fits in their look at. That amazing like it was supposed to be. That size something mmm okay let's turn. This guy on here see. We can get it with the camera oh yeah. And brighter I won't say. This is a really bright red dot. Idon't think you'd have. Any trouble seeing this guy outside for sure so yeah that's pretty nice say it's a fairly good dot it's al it's. You know it's not perfect the thought of my strike fire.
Iwould say is more pristine. Idon't know how you'd tell her. You know it's perfect. This one's a little wavy but let's get. This mounted on the a K. What happens we are mounted. It mans it's nice it's a lot smaller. Iwas working with its perfect type. It really is it's really nice. Ihave an AMD 65 with the Gio cheek riser AMD 65 calm so with. It is really naturally just kind of coming to. Where it's supposed to be its fantastic. Ireally do like I think it's. Ithink it's a good addition here. And come back real quick. And talk about a we'll compare. It to the straight fire okay. All right just to give. You a little size comparison. What I had on their oh my aching vortex strike fire the original strike fires red green dot really great piece. Ireally like and then. It comes to the 2x magnifier the new ones don't but just an FYI.
Ilooked you buy a strike fire 2. One of these lying around. One of your friends has. One they'll fit a parent but so. What you're working with. Something about this size okay. When it's screwed in. Iwent from I mean that's a huge difference. This is less than half the size of the strike fire for sure so closing arguments. Ireally like it feels really solid. Idid use some Loctite on the bottom. It comes up to the eye really naturally for me which was really nice. It feels like it feels sturdy. It feels durable III really thought. It was gonna be feel lighter. And cheaper but it doesn't. It feels pretty sturdy wind age. You know your adjustments. Idid take these off.
And click them a little bit. They have some really nice audible clicks. And on the outside this is kind of cool outside of the caps have like so. You can actually use those too. And maybe you can hear really solid audible clicks that's kind of neat that's a pretty neat little feature. One thing that is a little bit weird is. You look in here you can see. It there is a protrusion on the inside okay a little flat. Now I'm not sure I thought maybe. That was some sort of defect but. Ilooked at the video online. And it's you can see. It in the video from vortex2 so. It must be like you know. You can see it in my strike fire too but it's very it's was less noticeable so.
You know that might bug. Somebody honestly I would say. Idon't think it's going to for me but. Icould see some people. That might be and be annoying, so we'll see mm-hmm but. Ireally like I think it's a good seems good want to get. It mounted get some rounds through. What happens so until next time thanks for visiting the channel like subscribe hit. That little subscribe button down there. While you're here you know. What the heck check. When check out John channels comm. And check out my live podcasts. Or live streams Sunday nights Eastern 10:30 10:00 10:30 for food. And guns till next time midnight range TM thanks guys.
Ithink it's just a tad bit shorter but overall I'm really impressed with. This thing it does have under the under. This cap right here. It takes a cr2032 battery very common setup. And this red dot honestly. Ifeel like it could have a ton of different applications I've got. It on this little short barrel 22 buts. Ithink it'd be great for mostly ours. And it'd be great for competition shotgun. Or a pistol or something like. That it's very light. And I've really enjoyed. It so far alright guys so like. Isaid it does have 11 brightness settings right here. And I will say um today is a pretty bright not very. Many clouds and I'm I've been running this on about the eighth.
Or ninth setting to get. It bright enough to see on a day like. This so you do kind of have to crank. It up if you're gonna be running you know clear sunny days like. This but the one thing. That I think I would have liked to have seen is. Whenever you turn this dial. All the way to 11 it does stop but. You could turn it off. You have to go all the way back down. Or if you want to go. All the way to the brightest Sundays. You got to crank through. All of them I think. It would have been a nice touch to have to be able to switch. Either one or to have offed settings between. Each of the brightness levels kind of like. They do on some of their illuminated scopes but. You know it is a very budget-friendly red dot so. You know maybe having some of those features isn't necessarily a big deal it's just. Something that I wanted to share. And like I said this thing retails for 150 bucks. Now is this gonna put a point Oreo Tech.
Or anything like that out of business no it's kind of no-frills red dot but at $150. Imean that's that's awesome. Imean you can get four. Or five of these things for the cost of. Some end points. Or like the MRO Patrol. Or something like that but really. Ithink this thing is going to do just about. Everything that you need for plinking target-shooting you could probably do. Some 3-gun stuff with. It I haven't had it long enough. They just came out to really test its durability. And such but it is a vortex product. And I've been really impressed with vortex in their lifetime no BS warranty is top-notch so in the chance. You do have something going wrong with. It they'll take care of. It so this is it guys. And if you haven't seen. It yet checks them out but. Isay pick one up I don't think you're gonna be disappointed. And bringing you all. This quality of a red dot for. That price range just my hats off to vortex.
They did an awesome job but guys that's the new vortex crossfire red dot man it's a sweet little package for a very affordable price but guys thanks for watching if. You have any questions leave them in the comments below but thanks for tuning in. And welcome to the nation.
This is actually the long-awaited red outside from vortex. We had so many questions about. This red outside when it's coming to the market. It will fare what will be the fries cetera. Now it's finally here of course as. You mentioned the amount for the demand for this product at the moment is breathtaking because of the basically because of the quality. And price and price performance ratio manufacturers of two brownout sites such as. One just got we can say a really worthy adversary. We look at the physical properties so. This small device as. You can see it's also supplied with a bikini cover basically then the weight. This optical product is 150 grams. We can say it's not the lightest.
This class but it's also not very happy. You consider your the people are basically mounting and rifle scopes on their rifles so. This compared to rifle scope. Nothing the length of. This device is 64 millimeters which is of course plastic in. This style of Reynolds as. We can see it's designed very very nice black collar a finish is very nice. One of my favorite it features. One times magnification 24 24 millimeters of length diameter. And move the eyepiece. And objective outer diameter is 28 28 millimeters as. Imentioned the sight is very nicely designed the finish is phenomenal for me in our opinion every part is. We can see carefully designed. And constructed basically. This dot looks very much like primary arms dot. Or the aim point micro.
Ihave the aim point actually right here just for just to show. You the resemblance better. Ihave here a point h2. One is 2 Moas we can see the resemblance pattern as. We can see the left. One is vortex the right. One is aim point we can see the resemblance pair very clearly of course the devices are of different price ranges but. That doesn't matter. Ijust wanted to show the resentments of the two devices as. We can see the vortex vertex company started to follow the example of a point in point style right out sides basically. You can see how the tarts are designed. They have a dis you can see like. They have this precluding part which is a necessity which is a very useful addition to. This red outside actually. This is mainly and exclusively to manipulate the.
Both the elevation and wind age stir. It properly you just. You can see how nicely those. You just put this protruding part into. This notch here you can simply manipulate manipulate the tarts. This is very good this is very good. You don't need an extra tool to manipulate them. However it's um it's basically quite easy to damage them. Because as you can see vortex follow. This example of end point in. This style but in point tarts are fully covered. These ones are not you can as. You can see you can easily hurt them so. This is perhaps a bit of a downside. And the in the Department of in the Department of the style of the starts there are.
This partly covered with. This with this style as. We mentioned the elimination up is easy. And easy and comfortable to use. It has as you can see like. It has 11 brightness intensity levels it's applied with a CR 2 3 2 battery the battery will have. Something like 7000 hours. It 2-2 in middle brightness intensity level levels so. This is quite clearly the best feature of illumination is. You cannot actually zero from a. You say for example. We are at the setting 11. You cannot simply go back to 0 like. This but you have to dial the entire revolution back down so. This is really perhaps a waste of time but its necessity. You want to turn the. And the device off this perhaps is not. One of the best features regarding the the style of the turret regarding the manipulation.
And the useful overall usefulness. And the illumination itself. This device has a very good illumination additionally the wind age start is of course also perhaps a bit in a way. You try to manipulate the target. You have to consider. You have a rifle did. You have a readout rather site mounted on a rifle. And it's perhaps quite hard to manipulate the illumination not properly as. We can see the device is supplied with two mounts as. You can see one here. One is high skeletonized. One third to witness month which are. Both designed for a classic Pirating rail usually. We saw with some previous manufacturers. This mount was this mount was designed. We can say fully closed so. One is perhaps because of. This 130k witness setting is as. They call this skeletonized mount the turrets have 100m away wind age. And elevation adjustment click is exactly. One my device is free of parallax. You can shoot with both eyes open.
It has unlimited eye relief it's fully waterproof fog proof it's filled with nitrogen. And of course also shockproof vortex offers 10 years of warranty for this product. We can see it's made in China regarding the optical characteristics of our device here optically device is. Than decent in this price range. We have to say you take into the account. This device cost something around 170 euros the optical character characteristics are to be praised. If comparing it to some other devices. On the dot is nicely defined it's. It with is with two mas which is perfect to use for rifles the color of the dot is red the dot is usable as. Imentioned on on-air platforms rifles shotguns. And also on pistols small optical perhaps what's the. We can say perhaps the downsides downside of. This problem of this product is the basically. You look through them. You look through the lens it's perhaps quite hard to see. It lets's say now in the position. You can see the dot just a second.
It works like this okay the dot it's okay the dot is not visible in the camera okay perhaps a bit okay. We see the dot is centered. We can see this optical element which actually powers the device actually diminishes the field of view the viewing field of. This red outside perhaps. This is a downsize of. This device if it's really a downsize I'll leave. It up to we can say the device has very low very low amount of blue tint which is of course very good especially in. This price glass we highly recommend to sight in the device with the course. Ithink it's perhaps. It will save some bullets. Some of course money so it's quite sense.
It makes quite a lot of sense to use the bore sighting we are actually we're actually very satisfied with the optical quality of. This device we consider the price as. We mentioned around 170 euros at the moment. Something like this usually devices in. This price range feature basically quite much of blue tint which of course diminishes the overall customers experience. And over optical characteristic of the red dot device so. One doesn't have one has a very minimal amount of blue tint. And basically it adds to the. It adds to the optical properties optical characteristics of. This device which makes. We can say a little a small but perfect package. One thing so we get to the.
We get to the end of. This review first we go to put to the pluses what's good so actually 1/3 Kuwaitis mount. We have a low and very low. And low style of 1/3 key witness mount. One is high and low so. You have a variety of mounts. You can use a low or a high. Or high mount one is actually skeletonized. It allows you to go for one third key witness which is actually very good. More customers are looking to use the red outside. And the end the arrival sites which are already installed on the of course on the rival. This is actually very good the overall optical quality. This price range is of course is very good the physical built is very nice and as well.
What we especially what we like about. This device is tarick caps which are nicely usable. And highly and highly appropriate for the readout of. This class what's not very good it's the is the illumination mop. You cannot go as we mentioned from 11 straight to zero. We have to dial the entire revolution up to zero. You can also as you mention. You can damage the turrets. You were in situation. You could do you can actually damage the tarts. And of course this is not good. We can say protruding style of tarts. This device you get a quiet. Some accessories this high amount was met as. We mentioned the low mount lens cleaning cloth the hex key the additional screws for the mount bikini covers. And the nice instruction menu. Everything is elaborated down to the very last detail.
All for this review for today. You have any additional questions feel free to leave. Is a comment below and don't forget to subscribe to our Channel take care until next time you.
This particular model does come with a very bright in my opinion 2 MOA dots so. This is going to be good. Both for up close and personal CQC stuff. And it's gonna be great for some mid-range stuff so you're gonna have. Some precision so you can get out to those mid ranges a couple other really cool just specs about. It we've got length width. This 52 ounces it is light guys it's very light it's also got in my opinion great battery life it's not quite as much as the aim point obviously it's its not gonna last as long on their end point does, so I'll have them beat on. It does still though last on medium setting seven thousand hours that's pretty good. Imean as cheap as these cr2032 batteries are. Iam not at all put off by the lower battery run time. One really cool thing about. It does come with a different couple different mounting options.
It comes with a low mount which is. What I'm going to be using I'm going to be mounting this to my ak. It also comes with a lower. That one-third Koh witness in my opinion that's a little bit too high for by a case I'm not going with. If you're running an AR. You want to put this on there. That lower one-third Witch witness is gonna be great so let's go ahead. And take a peek what comes in. This box first thing we've got here always gotta have the literature. This one's going to go over. Some different features goes over battery life. We already talked about definitely want to pay attention to the wind age. And elevation adjustments. These are typically going to be individual to the optic you're looking at so. It is going to vary a little bit. Many click scenes do to go right to left which direction you're turning it's. All pretty standard but there is a little bit of variation from manufacturer to manufacturer so.
You want to make sure. All that's good one of the things. Ireally love about vortex is their VIP warranty guys. This is in my opinion. One of the best companies. You can buy an optic from as. You can see rest assured. That in the event that your red cop becomes damaged. Or defective we will repair. Or replace the binocular at no charge to. You the other thing I love about. This warranty is fully transferable. You do not have to be the original owner. This as a gift and then. It down to my son that warranty goes on to him. Or in my case hopefully. One of my two daughters inherits. This is a great investment for your. Ihave actually never seen vortex do.
Anything but be 100% stand up about their warranty. One person personally who has exchange on a warranty. One of the mount options cracked on him. They send him a brand-new. He told him want they had. He should improve her purchase. They sent it rights out to him. That easy so you guys. They really do stand behind their warranty. This is a great company. Ihave no reservations about buying products from them the next thing that's going to come in the box is obviously got a little cleaning cloth actually. It looks like pretty good quality. You know this is nicer. Than the ones that came with my prescription glasses. And sunglasses I paid quite a bit. More for than I paid for this optic so good on vortex for giving you a good.
They go moe allen key to mount. It to your gun it comes with a battery I've already got. That installed as I couldn't wait guys. Ipeeked at it I've already got the battery installed here installing your battery is super easy. Some optics come with a little key. You know an American Quarter fix great in there. Ijust use that to get into the battery compartment battery is mounted with the writing on the cr2032 facing up so that's already. All done comes with an extra set of screws. These are going to come in handy. Idon't know about you guys but. Ialways lose one of these little things so it's. They included a whole extra set for you definitely didn't have to do.
That's a nice little touch. And here we see the two different little mounting options we've got the low Earth one-third Co witness. And then on here because like. Isaid I'm putting it on my ek, so we've got the low mount on here that's the. That I'm gonna stick with. And the optic comes. You know to keep your glass looking good comes with a set of bikini caps so that's always good. We can see here this obviously. This doesn't aid at. All on the function of the optic here but just look at the graphics on. That looks pretty awesome my opinion. Ido really like the little attention to detail they've got on here. You know what I know the industry loves their end points. They love there a cogs. They love their EEO Tech's but. You know if I'm comparing this to the aim point t1. This is pretty darn sexy. And with a price tag. That is last I check about a third of what you will pay for. That aim point this is a great option. You know one holds up as well as. Another vortex that's been great for the last two years.
That I've owned one is gonna perform well enough. Idon't think I need to invest in a name point maybe. It will we'll see but like. Isaid super rugged aluminum body. Everything looks great on. This you've got your wind age you've got your elevation adjustments. You got your brightness settings. One does come with a lot of different options. You can set all the way from off switch is your zero setting all the way up through 11 different brightness settings so. You can get that as bright as. You want and like the instructions said. This number six setting that's going to give. You the 7000 hours of battery life so that's kind of what they set the standard on. You go brighter it's gonna last a little bit less but. You know I like to keep mine about 9. You know from I was using this. And just kind of looking through. Ihave not taken this out to the range. Yet so we're gonna see. That next but I think I'm gonna like. That number 9 setting so.
Ithink that's that's. Where I'll try it out first so without further ado we're gonna go ahead. And take this out I'm gonna get. It mounted up to by a K. And then I'm gonna come show. What it looks like on my ek see. You in just a minute guys alright guys. Iam back this is by a K I've got the new crossfire. All mounted up so everything is ready to go. One thing you want to know about mounting one of these optics is. Whenever this on to your Pirating rail. What you do is you want to slide. It onto the rail into. One of your grooves into. One of the rail sections. And then push all the way forward. And then tighten her down. You want to make sure. All the way forward so. It can't shift back. And forth pushing it forward. These optics are made to hug against the front portion of the cutout section in your rail so.
You want to make sure you've slid. All the way forward but. This is the application. That I'm putting this into. You saw on this would be a great optic being it is. It is so low onto the rail here. Because the ak really in my opinion. It just does not do well with a real tall optic like the AR does so. Ireally like the way. This is mounting up I'm gonna do. Another video coming up here soon showing off by a que so. You guys can see a little bit about. This is I did put together myself so. This is starting from a completely Bank receiver I've riveted. All together myself out. Everything together. It is looking a little rough. Ihave not Cera coated. That is next on the agenda, so I'll be sure to put up cool pictures. That done so you can see the kind of paint job I'm going with. And in the video that off. And go into the new paint job I'll go over. More of the features. This rifle together. What I was going for with my belt here but. That we've got all mounted up we're ready to fire we're going to go ahead.
And take it out to the range we're gonna get. It sighted in and then give her. Some tests fire she does see. She holds up all right see. You in just a minute. Few days to get up to the range but. Ihave to say this red dot as a pleasure to shoot with there are a lot of optics out on the market with fuzzy dots. They can make it extremely difficult to accurately acquire a target not so with the vortex crossfire red dot. This is an exceptionally bright crisp 2 MOA dots. Ihad no trouble picking up. Any of the targets and accurately placing shots out to the length of the range. Iwas not able to dial in the 5200 battle zero. Iwould have liked to as the local indoor ranges in.
This area they pretty much limited for 25 yards then I'll have to wait for another day after a small amount of blinking I said into zero the site. One of the big things. Iloved about this site are the adjustment knobs there wasn't a hint of slop. Or play in the knobs. Each click was a very solid positive click. That took all the guesswork out of adjusting the wind age. And elevation each small click will move the point of impact. One minute of angle for a brief primer. One minute of angle is equal too roughly. One inch at 100 yards half an inch of 50 yards. And a quarter inch of 25 yards. And so on so for example at the 50 yard site in distance. It would take 12 clicks of the dial to move the bullets point of impact 6 inches at the end of the day.
Everything was sighted in. Idid a bit more shooting I ended up very pleased with his optics performance — a. That grouping in a too shabby. All right so here's a quick rundown of the pros. And cons as I see them pros like. Isaid there's a very solid of positive clicks on the brightness wind age. And elevation knobs. They really have a great tactile feel. And there's also a slight audible click. You can hear the dot itself very crisp very bright satu MOA dot which is perfect for most applications. It does come with the two mounts you've got the lower one-third CONUS. And you've got the low mount obviously. Ihad flow mount on by a K here. It was great rock-solid the screw on. It comes with the t10 wrench. You need to tighten. Everything is really goes together very well. You can definitely tell it's a very well engineered product of course like with. All optics from vortex no-questions-asked lifetime guarantee that's a big thing its huge guys I'm not aware of.
Many other companies. That offer anything close to. That especially at this price point. If you're getting the name point. If you're getting an EOTech. They have great warranties too but the price tag for. That price tag they should have a great warranty vortex is a much. More cost-effective option. And you're still getting. That great customer service from them I'm also not the only. One that's really — vortex right. They are really known for having a reputation of putting out great products there they're just they're impeccable company to deal with. Ihave talked to them on customer service on the phone just answering questions things like. They are great I did the pleasure calling them unlike a lot of call centers you're getting directly to. Someone who works for the company. They are very pleasant to deal with the answer. All your questions absolutely fantastically. They just their reputation is great guys back to the optic.
One does have a 7000-hour battery life at medium setting I think that's really good it's not the best out there are other ones like the equivalent here the Aimpoint t1 is going to have a much longer battery life the gin. Ibelieve also the gin two of the endpoint micro ti. They sit around the 50000-hour life span of course you're paying three to four times amount for. That optics, so I would expect the battery to last a little bit longer. Iwould expect it to have better electronic components. Iwould expect it to be. More durable better but at. This price point 150 bucks. You really can't complain about. That battery life I think it's pretty darn awesome. You know I would much rather not spend the three. Or four times for the other optic. And just replace the battery. Imean there are a dollar fifty on Amazon just replace the battery as well. You got the nitrogen purged housing you've got great oring ceiling you've got the coating on the lenses so.
This is waterproof this is fog proof it's gonna be great in low-light scenarios. All around this is just a fantastic optic for the cons. You know I always try. And look and nitpick a little bit so. We know kind of where. It fails you know where does. It falls short of expectations but there really wasn't much to say about. This optic and in the way of cons just a. Few things I did think about there is no auto shutoff features kind of. Something I would like to have the aim points. Ibelieve a lot of the EEO Techs do have those as well not a deal-breaker for me. Imean it's its a nice feature to have it's not. Something I have to have but. It is nice the brightness dial does only turn.
One way so when I've got. All the way up to 11 turning it up to 11. Ican't go right back to zero. Igot to rotate that dial. All the way back through again very various minor thing I mean. That you're really nitpicking to get to. And the bikini caps. They could be a little bit. More sturdy minor a little loose. They kind of came. That was not the biggest deal again given the price point. You can buy nicer bikini caps. If you're really that bugged by. It but mine stay on just fine they're a little loose I'd like them tighter but again not a big deal so really. This optic is a win for me. Iwould definitely buy.
It again in hindsight. It on my aka it's working out great like. Isaid I've taken this after the range a couple of times. Both shooting the video. And after and it's just it's really been a rock solid performer so definitely check. That out check out my links below the video. And on my blog you can find this on Amazon. You can also get it directly from vortex get. It at Brown ells all the regular retailers I'm gonna have a. Few links with you can check different prices on. This guy's this is really. If you're at all on the fence. Or you've never had a vortex optic. Ican't suggest them highly enough there are just fantastic products I've owned -. This is the second one I've owned.
Iwould not give up. Either of them they are fantastic. You guys have any questions definitely those in the comments also don't forget like subscribe. And share it does help. Salut!
You go to take your shots definitely see. More of what you're looking at not really liking though. How heavy that is definitely a takeaway for me. Because I'm trying to build my pistol as light as possible just. Iam very small stature. And I'm a little on the weak side but. Ido has great plans for this site. Iam really liking it. And I'm really impressed the sake site. Iam liking just it is a little bit lighter. Than the sight mark the thing with. It is just a red dot. It doesn't have the green thought which. Ireally wish it did kind of like to take. Some elements. That are in the site mark. And transfer it to the sake. You are taking the difference between a two MOA versus a three. And the field of vision is a little bit smaller on. Ikind of feel like. It would have to be a little bit.
More delicate with I don't think. It could take as much as a being as. This big guy over here I'd also like. That the sight mark came with. This little pouch thing though I'm not really sure. How I'm feeling about the zipper. Ilike the idea of being able to put. It on top of the site as it's on the gun. It placed up the sig does have. This little cool cap going on here so. It still has some coverage on the lenses I'm very impressed with. Both sites I can't wait to take them out into the field. And shoot so that will be my next video. And I'm really looking forward to. It hey guys its Frankie welcome back. Ifinally got out the to the range nice weather outside.
We were able to cite. These bad boys in I'm gonna be doing a comparison between the cite mark. And my sake Romeo I do have them on two separate guns since I'm just trying to fill out which sight works better for me thank. You for the Hat sight mark. Iam buy able why hats so let's see which ones. More hey guys. Ijust got gone shooting these are my thoughts on. Both of them the sight bark was pretty nice in the fact. That it's very wide. And your field of vision is. Then the cig versus the Sig was like shooting through a tube of toothpaste. Something like I did feel. Ifound the site a lot quicker in the sink. Idid the sight mark but. Ihad to you know a choice to buy. Or the other I probably would have just been happy with the sight mark I'm a little bit conflicted.
And wanna kind of hang out. You know just kind of see overall the next couple of weeks. What I think but they're pretty good sites. Both of them thank for watching hat was fun. Ilike her I think I'll keep her.
This little cover back here which. Iwould prefer to be all-aluminum but that's not a huge deal okay so. Now I'm going to go through. All the radicals and the brightness settings first. It said right here on the green dot. That is usually what I keep. Either green or red it's really a matter of personal preference. Or really it makes a difference sometimes outside. And maybe the red I'll do better but I'll just do either/or but. Ido keep it on the dot go through the brightness settings here as. You can see the brightness is going down then. It goes back I believe there's five brightness settings. You do is at the power button to switch the color. You hold down the power button to power off the site. And in case you leave. It does have the auto shutoff. Me put the reticle to the first.
One here this is just the little dot inside of the crosshairs bullet of right to really show up see as. You can see that's bigger but. You can't really uh it's not very distinct right. Now with the light with the lighting let's go to. You have your plane crosshair. Ichange the focus here. It shows up there we go there. You can see the crosshair. And then there's you got your circle with the dot in the middle. Me go back to the other side. And see them better. You can see you got your circle much. More like a crosshair with a circle. And a dot but yeah that's. All of your options for the reticles. And then you just hold down on. It to power this is shockproof. It is shockproof up to a 50 caliber which is a that's a pretty high rating for the shock-absorbent on. This site now there's a list.
All the features here on the box. And here is all arrow Diaz options for the reticles that's. What I was just trying to show. You there where the box looks like. Whenever all right. It comes wrapped in. This bag and then it comes with. This little pouch little protective pouch which. Ithought was really nice and a great feature. It just meant you know. You take you need to throw in your bag. Something that keeps. You protected I actually slip. It over the side on my gun. Whenever it rest in the corner just keep does from the winds. And whatnot it comes with. This little cloth here to wipe. This tool to adjust the tightness on the rail.
This will Allen wrench to adjust the settings on the. What we call it the sights review citing the. Whenever you side in the dot. And uh comes with this little. Iguess it's promoting their other products. And I've actually looked at. Some other products. And have some really cool stuff. They have some magnifiers. You can pair up with. This site so you can actually reach out there a little bit. Iactually sided this end at fifty yards which was twenty-four the site. You really for the red dot at fifty yards. It was covering the head of my Silhouette target so. Icouldn't be too precise but sided. You to my liking I'd like to sided. It at 25 yards but I didn't get the chance to. Whenever and here's the user manual. And just tells you know. Everything you would want to know let. Me focus on this is actually.
All the specs well there. We go magnification. One reticle color red. And green filter view 105 feet at 100 yards which is a pretty good field of view the parallax setting. That is aiming with. Both eyes open so you can do. That up to 25 yards. And then pass you need to aim with. One eye for it to focus properly. You see it's weatherproof got your different patterns there's the type of matter. It uses yeah there's five brightness settings. And then there's the max recoil up to 50 Cal. And the battery life is not too great on. This 90 to a thousand hours 90 being overloaded the lowest brightness setting and a thousand hours being on the I'm sorry not. Even on the highest brightness setting and a thousand hours being on the lowest brightness setting and an operating temperature zero 220 degrees which is kind of pushing it.
Where I'm at Kyle's here in Texas. It can't get up to 110 degrees but I'm not too worried about. And then there're the dimensions of the site. And the weight is nine point two outlets okay. And here is the battery. It takes is the you just call. It the lithium one two three the only brand. Icould find was energizer at Walmart. This two pack was $10 which is pretty pricey but. You know I needed backup batteries. Idon't want one to go out of. Inot have and uh but. Ido have my flip upside so. Idon't have to worry about not having a sight but. Istill like that back to. Iwanted something for close range. This is a good for quick target accusation. Iwasn't really wanted to use. This rifle for distance so that's. What I went with I actually have a target to show. This site with okay so here's. What I cited it in with. That was the very first shot right there brought. It in brought it in ended up way over here.
Iended up way down here. Istarted turning it up right there. Iwas like okay that's good so. Ibrought and then right there. Ihit too I was like at 50 yards that's good enough for me. Because the dot was actually covering the whole center of the target. Icouldn't really be too precise just a little bit of movement throws. It off so I was happy with. And then right here that's a penis 15 shots to the head. That was free handing at 50 yards with the dot. And I'm really happy with. That can't complain. And yeah that's the results. Igot with the site. All right so that's my quick little overview of the site mark ultra shot plus reflex sight. It back from a rifle. It took just a couple of seconds. Ithink it's a really good-looking site the only thing I would prefer is. This piece was on the front I've seen. Some like yo Tex those are obviously high-dollar sights. Even like it was just. This little part without.
And but it's $70 or really is $100 but uh for the price it's a really good quality I'm happy with. It on my rifle and yeah that's my review of. This little site hope. You enjoyed you did please like. And subscribe thank.

Welcome back everybody today we're going over the loophole Delta Point Pro. Some folks pronounce. It Leopold so I'm folks pronounce. It loophole we're just going to roll with. And skip the semantics so. This one's been out for about a year. And really there's not a lot of reviews on. It which is one of the reasons. Iasked OpticsPlanet to send. One out for T&E; so. They were kind enough to do so before. Iforget there's going to be a special code guys it's going live as. This video and it's going to go through midnight on July 11th that's going to give. You 10% off anything else over at OpticsPlanet site. They have pretty good prices so with 10% off there's going to be. Some pretty good deals over there so check. It out we'll put a link down below for you guys to go over there. What you can find with. That discount code but moving on not a lot of reviews of. And like I said it's been out for a. While so I requested. Iwas somewhat of a critic of the original Delta point which we'll get into a little bit.
More in the video but. One had good reviews. Than the limited use. Idid see so like any red dot sight. Some pros and cons to. What we're going to do next a little bit. More shooting like the dogs take a look at. And then we're going to give. Some details of the optic rather review you've seen the site mounted up here on. This Gen 4 Glock 34 optics ready pistols so. It has the milling and a slide to accept. Several aftermarket sights to include the Delta Point Pro. One thing I want to bring up with. That the Delta Point Pro is not the same as the Delta point which will show. You here in a second further on the video so with. Some mounting options will not work on. It with Glocks that works fine as. You guys can see here. Ido know a Smith & Wesson M&P; course for example the plate with. That does not work with the Delta point Pro. It does work the belt points not to the point pro there can be. Some sort of milling. That will accommodate.
You want to do and as well. You can get a adapter plate. Or at least holds you will be able to go. And soon they'll be making to use they'll point pro on them. And peak or series so stand by for. That but I was right. Now it's not actually out. Yet so my point is with. That said if you're going to get the pro make sure. You want to use it on a pistol. That it's actually going to fit the pistol. You intend to use it on the body of the optic is made of aluminum so. This portion down here is. All aluminum it's got a nice anodized finish on there it's going to be very corrosion resistant. And the hood here is made of steel relatively thick will show.
That here in just a second. That does is going to give. You good protection. You drop it to try to prevent your lens from cracking breaking shattering etc for those of. That watch this channel for a. Now know I did actually break. One of the original Delta points. That was one of my criticisms of. One here so far so good. You can see it's getting pretty scuffed up around the edges. This one's got quite a bit of use. And so far so good on. That front so good there. One feature of this optic. That sets it apart from. Some of its competitors out there is the fact. That the battery compartment is on top so. You don't have to actually remove the optic to change the battery out so the benefit of. You have it zero to your gun no need to mess with. And change the batteries. That to do so you're just going to press. This a little over here. It doesn't even require.
Any tools so you can do. It camera can actually see. What I'm doing and press over. It normal there you go pops up. And the battery itself is actually magnetically attached to the top cover there as the Zero's so. It is a CR thirty two battery relatively common battery so. You replace and just push down. And it'll click into place. And just push over that walks. It in so that's as easy as. This change your battery additionally. We do have wind age and elevation adjustments there those are 1 MOA adjustments so that's certainly pretty good for a pistol. One thing that's nice about. These verses some of the other red dots out there on the market is. They click every time. You actually move each MOA. You adjust your Gary here. And feel I should say a click so just to kind of show. That looks like I don't know. If Michael pick it up but I'll stop talking to see. It will so tactile and audible notice. You are actually changing the 0 I'm sure.
You have noticed by. That the actual height of the optic itself is a little bit larger. Some competitors out there on the market. That does is when you're trying to ko. It as your sights there's really actually as far as. Iknow for Glock pistols only. One option for it is. These America low sights will put the model number. And down below these were actually. These from OpticsPlanet as well. Ihad to describe you can kind of see. That they're a little bit higher you're probably gonna get sort of 1/5. Or 1/4 LOLICA witness of the sights so. If you're opting to go down for whatever reason. You are absolutely able to still see your sights with. They say zero that but just be careful. When you're looking for aftermarket sights for this due to the height of the body of the optic versus like the RMR. Some other options out there the optic does have an auto off feature so. Any point in time you leave. It still for five minutes.
Or longer it's going to turn itself off. Any sort of slight movement will activate the optic. It will turn right back on immediately. It does have a auto sensor which typically I'm not a big fan of on the AR Mars. And the reason I'm not for instance on the arm RS is. If you're using a weapon mounted light. It doesn't change fast enough. And really react fast enough. You hit your light in low light situations to still give. That at least I'm some of them so. Though is a little bit different. That autoscent the sensor right there up front. And the auto illumination is very bright. It errors on the side of brightness which for defensive shooting I'm a big fan of basically I've used.
This with a surefire x300 600 lumen weapon light. And I've had zero issues seeing the dot low-light situations. You know to turn the light off turning it back on no washout. It also happy to report. That I'm a big fan of. And it's one of my main criticisms of the auto illuminating are marks so. That said you want to turn the brightness down on. You can do so there're manual settings so the top of the battery compartment is a button. It will allow you to decrease the amount of illumination. Now the camera is going to give. You much more of a star. Iassure you then you see in real life but. It should still give. Is an example as well so press. Few times and you'll see. It is much dimmer it's not going to focus on there so just forgive the auto adjusting camera for. That but you press. And hold it as well for I believe four to five seconds. It will actually turn.
It manually off as well so press. And hold and the optic is off. Now to turn it back on same thing just press. And hold for four or five seconds it'll come back on at the auto adjusted illumination setting on the table here. We have a few competitive options for we have a RM. Ibelieve this is a RM 0 3. And in the original delta point so just give. Few size comparisons. You can see here just to give them sort of as well you'd see just. How much smaller the RMR is a little much lower profile which gets into the sights like. We talked about earlier. One advantage for a lot of folks anyway is going to be the proceed field of view reverse of the armor versus Delta Point Pro it's much larger so people have a seem to have an easier time picking up the dot. Iwill tell you 100% without question for me that's the case. Ipick up the dot faster in general on the Delta Point pro for sure on the bottom. We have the Delta Point. And then adult appoint Pro here.
You can see the approach is beefier. All the way around both wider and. It is taller now the del point original. We have here as the cross slot mouth on. It for mounting unlike the continue mounts. One here has that option available as well. Ido not have it is available from adults. One thing I should point out. While I'm on that topic is. That there's also a hit the delta point offers which is our loophole offers. Ishould say for the deployment Pro. That essentially lets. It mounts on the vast majority of rear sights out there on the market so. That kits like I believe. One hundred and fifteen dollars. Something like that kit you're just going to drift the rear sight out on those those pistols. It will allow you to use. That as a mounting base for it additionally there is a rear sight which is optional. That actually clip right in. This little piece right here.
This little dovetail. That rear sight for Co witnessing with the irons of the pistol. That you're using of your choice so overall. You can't see too much beef here. All the way around on. This delft point than the original those are the details at least the ones. Iknow of anyway so. Isuppose the next question is sort of what do. Ithink of it overall, so I'm gonna kind of shock. Some folks here and I'm going to say on. This particular setup here with the Glock with the milled slide with sights. It works with the co witness. That stuff this has been my favorite pistol mounted red dot to date so. You guys have seen in the past here on. This channel we were in. Some pain points on their our Mars the original delts point. Ibelieve a birth fast fire to we've had on. Some pistols here on the channel but without question my opinion.
This one's been my favorite my eye picks. One up really well now of course. Ican pick all of them up but. One just seems a split faster. Ilike the auto adjusting features as well as the manual option. It gives I think that's a big selling point the water-resistant factor to. It certainly good there are sort of. Some points I don't like. One of them is going to be the battery life right so. Ichecked around everywhere. Idon't know what the battery life is like. One will tell me it's down on their website. It says extended battery life on their website so. Idon't like you couple. That with the auto off feature. Most folks I'm sure going to get pretty good better life out of. If your sort of wearing it for concealed carry.
You know patrol duty use you're going to be moving a lot it's going to be on a lot so it'd be nice to know. That said one point. Iwant to cover on that. Ididn't cover earlier is. You are wearing this sort of a concealed carry role. When the auto on feature comes on it's going to come on using the light sensor so it's a covered garment you're opting sabzi going to be covered as well so it's going to come on. One of the lowest fittings so it's certainly good for battery life but. Iwould take it to numbers on. You guys know those numbers foul means post below down below post down below in the comments section. Ishould say I will annotate. That in the video that answer so that's the downside the other downside is going to be cost that's a downside with. Any of equality microdot optics like. We have here been mr delta. One pros etc at this point. This one's no exception. Ibelieve it comes in right.
Now as of today at $599 over at OpticsPlanet website so certainly a little bit expensive so that's certainly not a good thing we wish. It was cheaper but it's not but so far it's held up really well. Ihave really nothing but good things to say about. It the other role one would do well in to its weight. Ibelieve it comes in just under two ounces would be a lightweight AR type setup so the 25 m o da quickly. You kind of power one of the finer settings. You could definitely get. Some good accurate hits with. It out of distance and of course the weight is. Something that people always like on those long guns so that's pretty much. It guys pros and cons like. Anything else but so far. Iam a fan that changes we'll let. You know but that's pretty much. It thanks to OpticsPlanet of course for sending this. One out for us to use in. This review thanks to. You for watching I always appreciate.
It thanks for subscribing if. You haven't done so please go ahead. And do so you have questions post boy down the comments section. You can also post over at my facebook page as always but thanks for watching guys. And we'll see you in the next video.
And I'll get to that later on there are two versions available. We then two and a half mm. We don't want to it with a seven. And a half MOA dot so. On the two and a half my version comes with a standard dot the seven. And a half MOA version comes with a radical in the shape of a triangle. We have a nice big window. That provides an unobstructed field of view the size of window is so. We have 25 point centimeters with. And seventy seventeen point five millimeters of height there is a as. You can see a metal cover around the hood which is great. Some additional protection for the fragile hood. This who adds to the overall durability. And reliability for this site so. It is really made to withstand harsh conditions Lupus nu zens the diamond code scratch resistant aspheric lens. And not only is it is scratch resistant. It is also very good optically so.
When looking through. You'll see if specially. You take and look somewhere towards the collar so for rest order. Or the meadows you will see. That the colors are really preserved. And the image is very lifelike so optically. This site is really top-notch. We get unlimited eye relief. And of course wind age. And elevation. And wind age adjustments which are regulated with the help of these two adjustment screws the adjustment range of. Both is 60 M away one click equals 1 MOA meaning. It moves the point of impact for approximately 1/2 centimeters on 100 meters so. Idon't have any specific tools. That was not tool for the manipulation it's added. You can just use a screwdriver. Something similar to rotate. Both adjustments are of the clog was clockwise type which is distinctive for American right out sights. And rifle scope rifle scopes so. What does this mean.
It means that rotating the elevation adjustment screw counterclockwise will move the point of impact off. Whereas rotating the winner adjustment screw counterclockwise will move the point of impact to the right there are. Some really innovative solutions used with. This run outside for example the battery compartment is opened with help. This knot you just put back. And the battery cap jumps right up then. You can just attach. This battery here because there is a magnet inside. You just simply put back so very innovative unique. And Lupus really have outdone themselves in. This segment it uses a classic cr2032 battery. That can be bought pretty much everywhere easy to find the amount comes the amount the site comes without the mount there are plenty of mounting accessories available at default they're listed right here so.
We have the single base. And dovetail base available for the firing firearms. We also have some additional accessories. We have the Pirating mounting plate which are also had here so. This here is the mounting plate so. You can mount this pole right outside on a Pirating platform yeah so moving on. It is waterproof to 10 metres which equals 33 feet. And the operating temperature is from minus 92 degrees minus 29 degrees to plus 50 degrees. Both states even be stored in temperatures as extreme as minus 40 degrees Celsius so really nice moving on to the optical characteristics. And illumination we have the 1 times magnification so.
You can look through with. Both eyes open now also see the dot the definition of the dog which is very nice well-being better. It wasn't focused now on the camera but at least. You can still see the size. Everything then we have the 8 illumination intensity levels to choose from. This is the power button here. You have to press it to turn. It on of course and then. You cycle through individual levels by repeatedly pressing this button. And yeah the definition is nice. Ialready mentioned. This but you have to move the finger away from here. You set the illumination so. You can see the intensity level of the dot. You leave the finger here you're actually blocked the beam of light. That is then not reflected from the objective lens. It your finger is in the way so. You have to move it away which is. Something that could be done a little bit better. When the highest or lowest setting is reached the ladder the LED will flash five times.
And then need to change the direction of adjustment meaning. That cycle through the levels of intensity the other way around. You have to press and hold the power button for two seconds. And then you went up you'll go down to powered off hold the button for around three seconds. You turn it back on the site will go to the setting. That you've set before turning off the device a nice addition. Once again it also has a low battery detector. When the battery life is low the aiming point will flash ten times. This appears for the first time there are still. Several hours of operating time so nice way to know. When to take an extra battery with. You on the field the illumination is suitable. Both for daytime brightness. And twilight it has a power saving mode as well so. When the optic is stationary for five minutes the unit will go into sleep mode preserving battery life.
And Murray detects movement the optic will power back on to the latest scent elimination intensity level yeah so as regards the scope of delivery. We have two hexagonal to love. One is used to mount the device on a mounting plate with the help of these two screws the other. One is used for I know. You want to remove the mal hood. You want to unscrew. These two screws that hold. Iwould say the rear are inside. This is actually a plate. That can be removed. And then an accessory. When the rear iron sight can be placed on so. This is why this tool is used for then. We have the rubber color to protect the side. When you're not using it instruction manual. Where are all the mounting accessories are as well. Some instructions on how to mount the device.
Several platforms and so on so. You also get cord the screws for mounting and the lupine's lifetime warranty. Now before ending in. This review we have to of course. Now sum up some of the advantages. And disadvantages the advantages are the optics so optically. This is very good you cannot see the dot again there is no tent. You remove and look to the white background there is no tint whatsoever then the build quality is which is also really nice. We have the metal hood for protection. This is a compact light rail outside which is a little bit heavier. Then other sides of the same time but still in the lightweight zone then. We have a lot of solutions like the opening of the battery cap the magnetic the magnet here. You can simply put the battery down put. It back again really easy really simple can be done seconds then the option of putting on a rear iron sight which can be bought at loophole.
And so on so really innovative in. All aspects the disadvantages the first. One is of course the price. One of the most expensive readout sights of the open reflex type currently on the market. It it's its priced around 600 euros here in Europe as well. You have to keep in mind. That a specific mounting plate has to be ordered which adds to the final price then of course the way. You manipulated with illumination so it's really not. You actually you want to change the information level. You have to put the finger in between the diode. And the lens you will not see the dot. You move the finger away. Another thing is really a pity. That there is not the universal knob like so the ex doctor mounting platform beneath which would make the mounting procedure really easy.
Because a lot of modern mal manufacturers out there make maling solutions for this platform so. This too solemn this is a dot. That costs quite a lot but for this price. You get amazing optics. You get amazing build quality so. This is amazing in all aspects. You get innovative solutions. You definitely won't regret buying this right outside thank. You guys for watching if. You found it useful like subscribe check out our other videos. And also leave a comment in the comment section we'll try to reply as soon as possible. Is an email you in the next review.
And easy to find cr2032 button batteries single MOA per quick adjustment screws are easy to turn with. Even a fingernail but flush enough to not need an adjustment lock. Now unboxing of a new red outside. This is a turgid gun mroat sight. Ifinally picked I had a really good deal amazon com. Iput the link on the description maybe. They have the deal still going on. This video let's see. What comes in the box comes in the box is a cleaning cloth treaty come MRO. It has the big objective lens on the front to your number. And Psalms their 1828. It has different adjustments for brightness on top night vision mode. And three four five six brightness the instruction says. You put on setting three leave. It on about that the battery would last five years. It with the high mount then sell. It with the low mount. And no mouth at all so true con MRO let's see. What else is in the box is uh. And on tool to amount. They decide to the rifle Trijicon sticker the treaty killing the warranty card has a lifetime warranty instruction for mining the red dot look like a poster. Another set of an instruction manual so that's sitting number five a sitting number six number four.
And number three is five years setting wind age elevations. And knobs right here they're pretty easy to set up thank. You for watching insi gun videos please remember to subscribe also check. Us out on Facebook and Twitter. And give us a like on the video see.
And that's you attached. One has a quick detach system on. It has a little button right here. You push and flip this lever. It pops off you can just set. It on to any 19:13 style rail push. It down flip the lever. And supposedly it's self adjusting and locks itself down fairly positively, so I'm gonna go ahead. And start evaluating the site again. Now the original they first came out. They had some problems with them in church Akana knew. They had some problems the first problem. Ihad with the site was. Ilooked up towards the Sun. Any towards even in the direction the Sun. If the Sun was just over to. One side I just had light in front of. Me the electronics would become visible in the screen so. It looked like signal strength bars on a cell phone wrapped around the dot the.
Igot towards the source of the light the weirder things got. All sorts of blooming and little dots false dots appearing in my vision. Or in the field of view. It was just awkward the sight just didn't work very well. They serviced it took him a couple of months. They sent it back to. And things seemed to work okay. Icould still under the right circumstances overcast days for example kind of sort of see those signal strength bars. You will around the dot but. It wasn't as pronounced so. They kind of sort of fixed the issue but a year on after. That the site just died. It stopped working and. Imade a post on social media saying yeah. Even Trijicon puts out a lemon. Everyone snow I'm done with the SRS I'm not gonna send. It in for service anymore I'm just done with.
It go throw it the drawer. And chalk it up to uh. You know even a big company like Trijicon being able to put out lemon every. Once in a while well the guys over Trijicon saw. That post they said. You know that's not normal for our sites. We will take care of. It for you and to their credit. They exchanged the site for me got. Me a brand-new this is the site. They say that they've made. Some updates to the electronics. Idon't see the issue anymore with the dot whatsoever. Idon't see any type of artifacts around the dot at. It seems very crystal clear. And crisp the image through the dot through the site so far. Imean with me having just gotten to the range with. It seems to be an improvement over the original model, so I'm actually glad. They did that's because. Iliked the promise of the SRS.
Ioriginally bought. It looks so good on my Tavor that's. When the Tavor first hit the market. Ithought the site would be like a natural fit for the little stubby features of the Tavor it's kind of short stubby sight so anyway. It on my beretta ARX which is a rifle. Ireally enjoy shooting this is actually. On my favorite rifles. It gets a bad rap on the internet but. This rifle has a lot of really good features. And functionalities to. You don't get with other rifles, but we're not going to talk about the Erik's too much I'll do a little bit of shooting with the SRS get sited in. And then you know sometime down the road I'll give. You an update on to. How well the SRS is holding up so let's go ahead. And shoot at that challenge target we're only about 50 yards. Ithink it's almost kind of sort of zeroed after just dropping it on the AR X ah. One yeah I think it's just a little bit off to the left but not bad yeah nice and solid thing we're gonna get along just fine let's load up somewhere magazines go back a little way.
And see just how zeroed. It is from the hundred yard line. All right I've taken a knee on about a hundred yard line to take a shot at. That little challenge steel target down there. And we're gonna see just. How close this SRS is to being on. Ihaven't zeroed I haven't turned the knobs whatsoever. All right so it looks like it's a little bit high. Ihold low you can hear. That ring at least I can with the sergeant's one of the sinner flapper. All right, so I have to hold just a little bit low in left. And it's pretty much on I'm had to put. It on paper there's not a lot. Ican do to the site right. Now that's pretty lucky yeah. That works pretty good the can I'm using is an M for SD — from Griffon armament.
It just attaches to a standard a2 bird cage. Ican see the mirage coming off. That thing already it's hot out here today. And kind of humid and muggy. And within 60 rounds man. That heat coming off. That can is something I can see through the red dot sight. That Mirage it's kind of cool but the sight seems to be working pretty good. What I will say is its kind of like the MRO there's a slight magnification to. It like maybe a half a power at range it's not. That noticeable you get up close to targets it's. More pronounced there's not much color shift let's try. It without the glasses the color is pretty good. You always go to have a little bit of color shift through. Any red dot sight because the protective coatings. They put on the lens but. Iwill also say in conditions like. It was overcast this was actually kind of the worst conditions possible for the previous version of the sight.
Iwas seeing that ghosting of. That artifact around the dot no matter. What I look at right. Now no matter what the lighting is there're no artifacts whatsoever it's very clean what's kind of funny. Though is the evolution. That I've seen from. This site to the new MRO. Iactually kind of like the MRO it's a smaller site. That same type of concept. We have a small ocular lens over here then on the objective side it's much bigger. It gives that large field of view the MRO gives. You the same feeling with a smaller lighter package so anyway I'm very glad. This is working I'm gonna keep the site around. And actually use now it's a little bit big by today's standards given the size. That t1 micros and the Amaro's. And stuff like that but. It still seems to be a fairly useful site I'm kind of curious.
How long the battery life is going to be. Inever really messed with testing it I'm going to do. Now I'm not going to put. Any batteries in how long. Ihave to go between battery changes. It might be a year or two guys so be patient. All right let's say. It zeroed for now I'm going to leave. It on the AR X and you'll see the AR X in a future video here really soon. Iwant to talk a little bit. More about this rifle. Ithink it's kind of underrated ok guys we're gonna wrap things up. Iwill give you an update in the future as to. How well the SRS is holding up. You know I first made my post on Instagram about just throwing the site in the drawer. And kind of given up a lot of. You guys were trying to keep. Me honest saying Mac why would. That it's an expensive site contact Trijicon they'll take care of. Ishould of but it's kind of nice to note the guys over at red.
You can follow me on Instagram. They saw the issue I was having they reached out. They took the initiative. And actually repaired my site. All set back up now I'm glad. Once again I may stick. It on the Tavor but. Iwant to keep it right here on the arx100. Iwas previously using a loop hold a little Delta point you'll remember. That thing on here I cracked the lens on. And chipped it pretties good it's. Ithink I'm pretty much in the throes of death there at. That red dot sight, so I'm gonna keep the SRS on here. You will see the AR X again in future videos here on the channel. You guys have any questions about. Anything you've seen in.
This video ask those questions down below. Itry to stick around for the first Cup days after a video goes live to answer the questions. You guys may have you have. I'm Richard Mann this is empty cases sixty seconds. Iwant to talk to you about taking kids shooting and. How Sig electrostatics can help with. You know I was growing up about the. Most exciting thing a kid can do was go shooting but today kids have high tech video games. And smartphones that they're addicted to so. You take a kid shooting there're two things. You need to consider the first is. You need to use reactive targets. Anything that will give them immediate feedback. They make the shot the second thing you need to consider is the type of sites. That they're going to use with a red dot sight a kids can keep. Both eyes open they don't have to focus on three different planes the rear sight the front sight. And the target this new Romeo 3 compact reflex sight from Sig electrostatics is ideal for. It doesn't add any weight to the farm so. When it's time to take your kids shoot. And get them some reactive targets. And get them an uncomplicated sight that's easy for them to use thanks for watching and remember it's.
It doesn't spread out into. That porous glass Reed here on the side. What you're going to notice is the slide-out battery tray for your 2032 battery so. You can slide that battery out replace. It back in and never have to remove. This site from your weapon system which is always a plus so no need to redo. Anything like that here. It is mounted on the elevator. Now so you'll be able to Co witness through your standard iron sights. Any sort of pic rail so like. This is just one application. You can use it for and. That I've used it for but. What you'll see here. We talk about our elevation. And wind age adjustments which are minute of angle real tactile clicks. You know many clicks you've gone is. They lock in the back. Isaid a lot of applications for this so.
If we're going for a large caliber pistol shot guns bolt guns carbines sub guns like. It is here even for a 45 offset on your scoped rifle your DMR. That lock back here is going to make sure. That your zero stays in place as always. These has mote AK technology so it's motion activated so after two minutes of idleness. This battery or the optic is going to go into like a rest mode so. It senses movement any vibration it's gonna reactivate on. That same power setting. You had before over here on the other side of the quick release you'll have. These tactile raised rubberized buttons so no light low light. Ican feel and the arrows are up. And down, so I know which ones doing what these will cycle through. All your brightness settings again a lot of variable brightness settings in here so from a cloudy day to a bright day you're always going to have.

The Bushnell Trophy TRS 25 coming up on gun destruction welcome back to gun destruction my name is Matt start off by saying this optic is not an EOTech. Even a vortex it's about a $70 optic. You open the box for the optic. You have a few things right on the top. One is a product registration card the next year the manual on lens cloth the optics come with. What appears to be silicon lens caps. That unfortunately are not attached flip caps to W a better. Although they are sufficient for protecting lenses for most objects. And debris well for reigning employees mounting the optic is fairly simple using the supplied allen wrench test those optic. Ihave a mounted on utg MedPro compact riser mount which ensues. That the red coitus is perfectly with my backup iron sight the red dot itself has eleven settings from zero being off to eleven at the brightest the highest setting is probably. Than you'll ever need. It is actually excessively bright for most environments. Imostly used the level five. Or six front lenses features a tilted amber front limbs which uses reflective LED light gave the red dot. And the amber helps reduce glare the battery seems to do pretty well just be sure to cut. It off after use at. This site does not have the auto. All features of more high-end scopes.
Or of exist have on. Both the battery cap. And the sight tower caps feature thick rubber gaskets. That ensure waterproof seal the target towers are easily adjusted with a flathead screwdriver. Or a wider flat object such as a coin. Or a spent casing the optic itself is 1 X 4 the 1 MOA per click adjustment. And the dot itself covers 3 MOA Yap. Because nitrogen-filled making it fog proof. And with the caps tines correctly. It is waterproof the sight is also parallax free. And features unlimited eye relief the optic itself is about 2 inches long by about. And a half inches tall without the riser weighing in at only three points announces again. Iwill stress this is not a premium optic. Even a mid-level opting it's a sub 100 our optic with. That said I think the Bushnell TRS 25 is a great little red dot for the price especially.
If you're looking for an optic. That doesn't take up very much real estate you're on a budget. And thinking of buying a $30 no-name Chinese outfit. And tell more dollars. And at least get one seems to hold its 0 pretty well I've topped. It around the truck carried. It through the woods. It seems to have no issue keeping it zero. If you're looking for our optic in. This price range it's a good. One to check out if you're interested in. This optic I'll have a link in the description. Now thank you again for watching gun destruction be sure to subscribe we'll see. You next time you

That's gonna be a quick review of the non-compete technical spurt. This is an unboxing this is the first time I've opened. This just got in the day we'll go over. Some quick faxes and as to why I bought. This over the competitors hmm. It up here we have your Nikon 5-year warranty. And there struction booklet. And of course a cleaning pad. And here is the spare itself the reason. Ibought this but I'm putting it on a Ruger 10/22 take down with the Magpul red dots on the front with the backpacker stocks so. Something you know the largest lens. Ican buy for a red dot. This size this compared to the vortex venom which has a 26 by 16 millimeter lens the vortex sprayer has a larger 27 by 16. Or 16 millimeter screens which is a millimeter difference not very much noticeable the PERS fast fire 3 comes in with a 21 millimeter about 15 millimeter lenses which would be the smallest of the three compared to the venom. This boast 15000 hours of continuous battery use. It does not say what battery setting.
That is the venom continues on the lowest setting with the venom. You do get thirty thousand hours of battery life but who uses. This on the lowest setting anyways especially out in the Sun so. That can be skewed information as far as weight goes. This weighs in at 11 ounces the vortex venom weighs in at 11 ounces as well the burrs fast fire will weigh in at point 9 ounces so. It will be a slightly larger. All of them have one time zoom the only difference between with. And the vortex is these have 10 different brightness settings. While the burst only has 3 let's open. This up here take a look at. Idid have a vortex victim at.
One point I did not have. It anymore since been sold. One thing about this not cars are supposed to be nice is. It has a crystal clear lens which. It absolutely do you can look through. That no tint whatsoever completely clear so that's. What you get I like the looks of. This a little bit better. Than the other ones. How its flush on the side. It doesn't have the lens. That protrudes over the edge of the body okay let's throw. Something then take a better look glass is slightly bigger. Than the vortex which. Ilike the red dot itself is super crisp. That too I'm under a lot of people are complaining about certain red dots having a scrambled egg red dot has wings coming off of. It ba bla but this right here. Ihave had you know issues with the red dot itself but the dot is difficult to see in the camera itself but.
This dot is crystal clear along with the glass which Nikon advertises is being 100% clear. You can see it is crystal clear as well so. Ienjoyed that future feature but. This over here you have your buttons for your brightness settings in up-and-down put maybe about a hundred through. This gun with this particular red dot on here. Ihave no complaints as far as accuracy goes the dot the 3mm of a dot is super crisp. One thing is in you with. These little red dots is. It gives this line in the back of. It helps as far as parallax goes to lie on the dot up kind of close to the top of. That line it'll give. You kind of keep the wind age a little bit. Because as you start to as. Anybody knows that's fired through a gun with his red dye like. This as you're starting to get into the corners the dot will get off target but as long as you're in. This main area in the middle like. You should be fine that's. What this line here is happy to do. That person is purchasing this red dot.
It purposely is bigger. Then the minim and a fast fire. Because my whole intentions were. This style but to put. This right here so I wanted. Something slightly bigger. And that's what I got so. You were looking for a red dot for a shotgun a red dot for any rifle. You have Canton on side of your scope. This would be the red dot for you that's gonna be a quicker.
Ithink is gonna be just the ticket to get it's the height. We want on the ar-15 alright. Igive you guys a little bit of a look here at the spacer installed show. You the dot there in the middle a little bit like. Isaid super bright. One thing to note the four screws. That were in the Pirating mount. That used to be here keep those with the body of the red dot before. They give you to mount. This thing on are too long for. That so the four that were in the body stay in the body with the spacer. And then the four new ones hold. This to the spacer you guys can see on the bottom there's just four. You know flat socket head cap screws but um very light looks really good. And you like the styling like two little dots.
And everything on the front there. And um I think it's gonna be good let's get. It on the gun and do. Some shooting so we got a. Few rounds loaded up but. Ican tell you even before shooting it. That height is perfect. Any lower and I feel like I'd be scratching my face down into the gun a little bit. And any higher and. Ifeel like I'd be picking up. And I'm not getting a very good cheek weld so That is a nice of fuel let's just be the stock felt like. It was just a little bit loose maybe might not be able to hear. This hit I think only the middle. One hit but uh that's a relatively small skill target. It looks like it's got to come down just a little bit but uh we'll try. This little guy over here. Imay not bring it down. Any I may back it up a little bit. And do a little bit. More shooting maybe back. It down maybe back up a little bit. And do just a little bit. More shooting to make sure. That I really do want to move. It because you have a slight offset affects.
It up close sweet little red. All right guys well the P tactical super dot is good to go as far as. Ican tell like I said I'm gonna save the adjustments for later but just a couple. More details that I didn't mention already. You got the push button plus. And minus on the top to turn the brightness up. And down that's pretty similar to a lot of other. These micro red dots. That are on the market. You know hold both to turn. It off you got your little caps there for the adjustment. And you can see the little flat blade on the top of them which. You can flip those around to make the actual adjustment.
You guys can see right there on the side 1 click 1 MOA adjustment got a 2 MOA dot so yeah like. Isaid very crisp um very nice not it's got a little bit of. That starburst just a little bit of. That balloon kind of effect to. It but it is not bad at. All there we go and I've got. It cranked all the way up it's kind of overcast today, so I've got the brightness cranked up but man for quick target acquisition. And you know just a nice looking small red dot. This fits right in there with. Everything else. That Nikon makes you know a good quality good warranty good glass. And nothing really to complain about I'll see. How the battery life goes. And kind of report that.
One back maybe I'll pin a comment on. That subject didn't mention but. It does have a little bikini cover cap thing so those are always nice to keep crap off of. It when you're not using it but um. If there's any other questions. You know go ahead and let. Me know you know just drop those in the comment I'll try. And answer all of them I'll put a link down there to Nikon's website. Iappreciate you guys watching the Moon Channel I'll catch.

Welcome back everybody today's review is gonna be from the range. It is going to be on a carbine optic. One will be on the ACO which stands for aim point carbine optic. This is a great little optic. And we'll get into some of the specs. And you'll get to see. It in action I realized there's no backup irons on. This gun trust it annoys. Me just as much as it annoys. Ididn't have time and trust. Me I'll be getting some on the gun so without further ado let's get into the review of. This sweet little aim alright guys with aim point I'm sure. Idon't have to tell. You about the reputation aim point it's been making optics for a long time military grade optics. And there are a lot of torture tests out there. And proof video proof of these things lasting for a long time I'm talking house fires IEDs actually getting shot with a K rounds. You flip the switch. And the light comes back on so. That out there that haven't heard about aim point. They are bomb-proof they're awesome optics but let's get into the specs of the AC oh right. Now the AC o comes with the mount. You see here it is not a QD mount is not quick detach. It is a standard bolt on Pirating rail style mount. It goes on very solid it's on their very tight but you're not gonna get. Or off very quickly like. Isaid it's a 30 millimeter tube so it's a 30 millimeter ring. That mounts on to the AC oh.
It has 10 brightness settings. One of them being off. And then numbers 2 through 10 are different degrees of brightness on settings 7 through 10 the battery life is estimated right around a year so. You happen to leave. This thing on for you know a substantial amount of time. You should still have a good bit of battery life left. Provided it hasn't been left on the highest setting for over a year but that's why I kind of like to see an optics. You know long battery life with vo Texas con. Iwas constantly changing batteries great optics but. They just shoot them up so fast. One uses a let it real quick. This a co uses a lithium battery. It is a 3 volt lithium battery. It comes with the optic so it's nice. They provide that for you the wind age. And elevation caps are captured they're attached with a rubber ring so you're not going to lose them. You can unscrew them. And just let them hang. You zero your rifle the dot inside the tube is a 2 MOA dot.
This is great for prep for precise shots at distance. And today we'll back. It up to 200 yards and shoot. Some silhouettes steel silhouettes. Provided by ta T targets. And just show how good. These optics are for forgetting the rounds on target. And a little bit of a distance the housing of the ACO is aircraft grade aluminum. And it's and eyes black no surprises there a lot of mils spec optics. These days use the aircraft grade aluminum for the outside it's lightweight its durable. And it's not very expensive alright let's get into. Some dimensions of the ACL the ACO is just under 5 inches long. It is 2 inches wide it's coming in at 67 ounces which is not terribly heavy which is an bonus for your rifle the field view on the ACO is like. Any other 30 millimeter tube so.
You use a strike fire. Or other aim points out there the field of view is okay it's not the greatest but it's not terrible. Either like the aim point t ones H ones T 2 s. And H 2's the field of view is absolutely horrible through the glass but that's. What you have to compromise on. You want to go with an optic that's really small alright let's back up to 200 yards. And make some hits from distance with the ACL. All right we're back at 200 yards I'm going to use the ACO to make. Some hits that two MOA dot really comes in handy we're gonna be shooting some tactical AR 500 targets which are awesome.
Because guys should go check them out on Facebook. They make really great steel targets. And we're thankful for them to provide those targets for us for videos so 200 yards silhouette target at top of the hill here. We go there's you can see there were three hits right there. That two MOA dot that fine dot doesn't obscure the target at. This distance it's great let. Ican get some freehand too so as. You can see the ACL. Ican get that dot in their great for shooting at distance as well no magnification standard mil spec trigger in. This gun so nothing fancy still easy to make hits with a little bit of distance using this aim point alright guys hope. You enjoyed this review of the ACO from aim point remember that's the aim point carbine optic great optic for the money.
You have any questions about. This particular optic please leave them in the comments below don't forget to hit. That like button share. This video with your buddies go visit. Us on Facebook and Instagram. And we'll see you on the next video.

This is John from Lock. And Load again this is the review of the Trijicon reflex 45 MOA dot optic it's looking for another red dot optics oh. It kind of wanted something. That was built like a tank but as well. Ididn't have to worry about battery life. Anything like that you'd get from. It EEO tech even with an aim point. It lasts three to five years. Ikind of was getting more into using a fiber optic sight so. Ididn't have to worry about battery life. Anything like I could just leave. It on a gun I would just always have a red dot on at. All times dude you can't put. This out were like. Iwas saying before. This top portion up here is. That is fiber optic but. It also has a built in tritium insert. Where just like with. Any kind of night sight. That you'd be seen on. Most handguns some rifles. It has the capability to glow in the dark but also during daytime. You have any kind of lighting. That it'll be aided. And it'll make the dot brighter by using. That fiber optic like. Iwas saying before since. It is fiber optic it does have. That tritium for nighttime use. When it's solely on the tritium. It doesn't have any kind of light aiding the fiber optic to make. It a brighter dot unless your eyes kind of get focused to the night around. Or kind of dark room around. You it's going to be very hard to actually see the dot. This is the picture. That you'd get when you're in a room like. Where it's either outside. Or there's a good lighting source. This is the fiber optic with the tritium. This camera doesn't really do.
It justice but you actually have your eye kind of focused on the nighttime you'll be able to see a little bit of a dot but it's not going to be as bright as. It was before this optic is going to come in three different versions. And there's gonna be kind of typical Trijicon mount. Either uses Allen or a ten millimeter a screw head. You have to tighten down but. Iwent with the arms mount. They offer it's very similar to like the American defense quick detach style. You have to do is lift. One of these tabs up to open. And then you just put them down like. You would with an American defense mount. You don't have to worry about torquing or. Anything like that's because. It just torques itself down the same every single time so. You have to take and off it's not going to shift your zero at. All as long as it on the same section of rail on the top rail. You have to take into account is. Even no matter which mount. You get for this optic because of the fiber optic it's going to end at redeem it's gonna have about a quarter inch on top of the optic so you're gonna have to.
Either get a cheek riser. Or you're gonna have to go from kind of cheek weld to. More of like a jaw to maybe a chin weld. Whenever you're kind of looking down the scope of. This just because like. Iwas saying before because of. That edit height it's not going to be as flush mount as like an EOTech. Or an aim point would with. Either lower coat one third witness. Or at full coitus mount. If you're looking for an optic. That just like with other trees comes out there like a cog. Or the MRO this thing is built like a tank. And can take a beating but also doesn't need to have a battery. You have to worry about. We recommend this optic. If you're looking for something where. You know you're not gonna have to worry about too much of being in dark rooms. Or complete darkness. And your eyes are still good. That could focus and adjust quickly to the different lighting settings.
This will work out for you. If you're solely just going to know. That you're going to be doing outside stuff. Or go to places that's going to have good illumination so. That the treating them will get boosted it's has been their view of the Trijicon reflex 45 MOA dots optic please like share. Alright guys thanks for joining me today I'm going to show. How to make a zero stop washer for the Athlon Midas VTR scope. This particular scope. That I've got here is the four. And a half to 27 by 50 millimeter ammo wave scope. And for the money this is really truly a great scope. This is definitely a budget scope. They run around 450 to 500 dollars which is. You know for some guys a lot of money but it's a great let's go the only downside to. This scope really honestly is the elevation turret doesn't have a zero stop a true zero stop. You will so I'm going to show. You today how to make a zero stop. And the first thing you're going to want to do is run down to your local hardware store. And pick up one of these cap thread gaskets. This is a number one cap thread gasket. This is made by Dan CO. It says the internal diana internal diameter is thirteen sixteenths which as. Imeasured it is exactly correct. It needs to be a little bit bigger. You might be able to play around with a couple of different sized cap thread gaskets unfortunately. Ipicked up two of the same exact size for this particular project. Ididn't feel like running back to the hardware store, so I'm going to show. How to modify this gasket. It doesn't fit your scope. One didn't fit mine exactly but. It works pretty closely, so I've already got them installed I'm actually gonna pull them off of the scope real quick here.
And I'm gonna show you exactly. What we need to do you okay so mmm I've got the turret cap removed. You can see just a normal turret cap for the half long scope. Nothing fancy about. It you'll notice in here. This little piece of 3m tape. This is actually a washer like a little 3m washer piece of tape washer tape. Ihave from an old Leopold scope on setting the zero stop for one of their scopes. It in here it's extremely thin. Provided me the exact amount. Ineeded to get mine to zero stop. Or may not need something like. And here's my suggestion is obviously it's probably pretty difficult for you to find something like. This so really don't worry about. This will just use extra cap thread washers. And I'll show what to do so. This is the actual cap thread washer. And I'm gonna get it to zoom here I've got two of them.
That I'm using for this project there are different colors, but they're the same size. And they're the same thickness. Ihad to modify this a little bit. And I'm gonna zoom in. And I'm gonna show you why here so. You can see this is gonna sit on. This black ring right here. It needs to be about the thickness. Or a little greater. Than the thickness of. This silver ring right here. When I purchased. This from my local hardware store. And I'll tell you real quick. Ilooked all over for these things. Ilooked at Home Depot. Ilooked at Lowe's I looked at True Value the only place. Icould find these was ace hardware. And again I don't know. Whether you've got an Ace Hardware in your area. Or not but you can buy. These online again it's the Dan CO number. One cap thread gasket. These are in the plumbing section at your hardware store so. Ifirst bought it would not fit over the top of.
This ring and you'll see. It kind of sits just barely slightly above. What I did is I took my pocket knife. This onto the table. Iliterally this is a like a paper gasket. You will and it's its really stiff it's hard material it's like a hard wax paper. Iliterally just carved out the inside of. This worked all the way around carved off enough material with my pocket knife just working it around like. These gaskets until. It finally fit and I'm gonna I'm gonna install. It rights and show that looks like so. You kind of have to work. It around until it pops on. And like I just had to keep removing enough material until. It fit on there with my pocket knife. It took maybe 30 seconds. And then for this particular rifle sided in. Where it's at it's zeroed right. It with just that didn't work so. It with two I just set on top of their set. It on top of the other gasket.
And then like I needed just a hair. More for mine so this little 3m gasket. You could maybe you know buy three. Or four of these experiment with them shave them down a little bit. You need to but ultimately then it's the same process then we're just going to put the turret back on. And we'll show that looks like. You alright guys as. You can see we've got the turret cap reinstalled. And we've got our zero line mark lined up with our o mark. Where we're dialed in. This rifle and the scope is zeroed in at 100 yards. And obviously now we've got our turret set to zero, so I'm going to show. How the zero stop works with the gaskets.
That we've installed it's not gonna be a true zero stop it's not gonna stop right at exactly at zero. And it's not going to have. That real affirmative stop but it's a pretty good fix for the cost of. This scope it works really well. And for a couple of bucks for those washers it's definitely well worth. It so I'm gonna go ahead. And Dow up I apologize. You can't hear the clicks I've got my camera zoomed in here trying to give. You guys a good view but. It stops it actually goes about three clicks below zero. And like I said it's not a real hard affirmative stop but. It does stop and then there. We run out of clicks. That our zero is right there so. It works pretty well so overall the midas VTR is a great scope it's got very good optics it's comparable to.
If not better than a lot of the other scopes in the $500 market. Iwould say the glass clarity is very equal to the Athlon Ares BTR the Athlon Ares BTR is just a little bit better. You do get some vignette it's very minor at 27 power with. This scope you don't get. All with that Ares BTR but realistically. You don't need to use 27 power. Ithink 20 to 25 is plenty on. This scope you don't get. Any vignetting at those powers so overall it's a very good scope it's a great budget scope again it's a great scope. You can get a zero stop just use. These Dan Co caps rights. You can see the dimensions on there. You can't find this particular brand. You can order these online. Ithink they're like 95 cents apiece.
Ipaid 99 cents apiece. And again that was at Ace Hardware. You don't have a nice look around. Or look online you can find these. You guys have any questions post them in the comments I'll be sure to answer them as quickly as. Ican thanks for watching and enjoy.
